Horrible experience. Waited two hours for lashes. The lady used dirty tools. And I now have an infection in my eye. The lashes came off the next day along with my natural lashes. Meaning the glue they use is cheap and more then likely not glue made for eyelash extensions. I have reported this place to the health department.

My horror experience at New York nails was beyond disappointing, I came in for a eyelash refill. I was greeted by an Indian woman who then tells me there are 4-5 people ahead of me that the wait is “15 to 20 minutes” no issue.. I arrived early in the afternoon but by the time I had left the wait was over 2hours. This shop seriously needs to be closed down, as I say there and watched the woman doing eyelash extensions she’s bringing girls in the small room off to the side one after another for there refills or new sets. I watched 4 girls go into that room and lay on the massage table not once did the woman working there wipe down her station after each girl NOR did she wipe down any of the tools she was using on each girls eyes. The same tools from touching the last persons skin and eyes. Most of the customers coming in we’re coming in because they needed a fill but had just got them done the day before or two days prior. Sadly the outcome was the same with me, mine started to fall out in clumps the next day and by two days they were gone. The ceiling in the place has horrible rotting water stains. The walls look like they haven’t been washed in 10 years. They don’t do acrylics only real nails. 0 out of 10 stars. This is the trashiest place I’ve ever been.

I love coming here, the only place that makes my pedi the right way. Sandee always does a great job.

Does anyone know where Nate is working now? He always did my lashes and no longer works here and he is the only one who did good work.

Nate is incredible! He was very precise and professional. He makes you feel very comfortable and gets you in and out in no time! My lashes were done by someone else and were a mess Nate worked his magic and made my lashes look perfect!

Got my eye lashes done. They did a great job. I got strip kind. They have been on over two weeks now. Nice people here.

I have my eyelash extensions done here with Nathan. He is always very professional runs on time and the cost is very reasonable. These are great qualifications as far as I am concerned.

Got my lashes done their by a male for my first time.. They started falling within the next day in clumps, and some were attached to my real lashes. The pain itself was unbearable and my eyes swelled. Now I have missing eyelashes lashes. I dont recommend this place to anyone. Save your time... SIDE NOTE: I didnt wet my lashes for a long period of time so their was no excuse for them to fall within the next day.

Nate is the best I love the prices and my lashes always on point. Done by the best Nate been going to here for a long time.

Eyebrow threading is great Sandy is the best. The male owner is EXTREMELY I mean EXTREMELY rude. He doesnt know how to treat his customers. He told my sister and I to leave because he didnt want to see our faces here waiting & taking up space.

I LOVE this place! You must understand I have gone everywhere around Bakersfield to find a great nail lady and Roxy that works here is so amazing!! If you want lots of nail art and rinestones and glitter or anything crazy! She can also do not crazy haha and any shape of nail she can do. I love her.The others that work here are also very amazing!! They can do anything as well and everyone is welcoming! The manager is so sweet and kind! It is a great environment and have tv always playing music videos of the new songs. I come here to get amazing nails done and laugh and have a great time! As long as things don’t change and the people here stay the same this place is the nail salon to go too! Not to mention it is also a hair salon! I haven’t got my hair done here but I have seen the ladies work and they are amazing as well!! One stop shop for real. Thank you New York Salon employees you have changed my life.

This place sucks. I went with my mom to get our nails done we then find out only 1 person out of maybe 5 could do acrylic nails. Okay well I was first. The guy is doing my nails by the time he is finished it looks like I already need a fill because of his style of doing them. He then sent me to a lady so she could paint them. I almost always take my own nail polish because I love the colors I own. She does 1 coat which she doesnt even paint them right because it i turn my fingers to the side its unpainted. She then tells me that my nail polish is a little thick and if she could put a liquid into my nail polish so it would thin out. Its one of my favorites so I was all up to extend my nail polishes life a bit longer. She then applys a second coat. The thing is like water. It did not dry whatsoever so I end up getting blamed even after I tell them what she did and that my nail polish was perfect before she ruined it. I feel bad that I took my mom to this place. Its only one week later and 2 nails have already fell off. NEVER AGAIN WILL I COME HERE.

The owner is an old arrogant rude man. The salon itself is outdated and ugly. For the atmosphere and customer service the prices are fair. You get what you pay for pretty much.

I have only been there one time, but that one time will be the last time. The owner is extremely rude and under-qualified. He did my eyelash extensions which came off in 2 days. Im not sure about the girls that do the nails because I dont want to say anything bad. However Ill never go back there again.

Horrible customer service, the only person respectful is the eyelashe man. Very rude and bad time management skills. Will half ass do your nails if customers walking. Pricing very depends on the day. Very ugly customer service.

JR did my pedi and does a fantastic job. So much attetion paid to detail. I have never had such a great pedi. Sadly, I screwed up my big toes later on at a party that night. I came back this morning to fix them. He didnt complain or make a fuss. He is wonderful. He even found 2 more toes I screwed up but didnt see and just redid them. If I am ever back in Bakersfield, I will certainly come back. I will be sad going back to my regular nail place back home in L.A. Can I take JR with me, please?

I went in for a full set eyelash extension and the man did a terrible job. He was rude and when I woke up the next morning I noticed an eyelash cluster was already falling off so I went to get it fixed. He fixed it but the next morning it was falling off again. He just added a lot of glue and made my eyelashes look extremely nasty because the glue was stuck on to my eyelid. It was terrible and ended up removing all of them. Thank god coconut oil worked.
