We bought our Mazda 6, and had one of the best experience ever. People from salesman, managers and Finance did a great job. This was Feb 2019. Figured go back and buy my daughter her first car. Walked into dealership and found out new ownership. We found a car and this time the experience was pretty horrible. It’s like they did not want to sell a car. Wanted ridiculous amount of money down, a car under 12k and would give her no chance. The only good thing about our experience was the salesman, Brandon Rivera’s, but as a salesman you can only do so much. He did his job, but everyone else FAILED!! We walked over to Earnhardt Honda. They actually talked to us and got my daughter into her first car. So if it’s a first car your looking to get, Horne Mazda os not the place!!!

I had a great experience here! I loved my 2017 Mazda 6, but it was time to upgrade to something a little bigger, so I traded in for a 2021 CX 5! David understood my needs, I really needed something that fit my travel lifestyle, and fit the dogs safely! No one pressured me to buy, it was comfortable and easy. I also appreciated them staying late for me, as I was not able to get there until in the evening after work. I waited 3 hours for an oil change that was supposed to take 1 1/2 hours. The waiting area is not kid friendly as advertised (I understand not having toys out in the waiting area, but why is a place with glass coffee tables being advertised as kid friendly?). The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because of the customer service of the car services team. They were all so nice!
I met with Joe and Virginia. Joe used every minute of my visit in a timely manner. He was honest right from the beginning and was willing to work with me to stay in the price range I needed to be in. I just want to share my experience buying a car at Horne Mazda Avondale.The dealer makes the process tedious and deceiving. First, the seller Omari Billingsley does not listen to the customer about what you want in the car, he only tries to lure you into buying, once you got a total price of the vehicle that you are interested in, he does the trick of “that car is already sold” so you have to chose another one, in that moment he offers whatever he has there, not checking for what you originally asked for, I wanted an All Wheel drive, he sold me a Front Wheel drive and I realized that mistake the next day reviewing the papers. No wonder it seemed a fair price. Be careful.Another thing even more important is that during the negotiation or election of the car to buy, he tells you that the car comes with the Accessories, never mention that some of those are just extended warranties, never calls them like that, I will tell you the names here, so you can identify them in your contract.What he calls accessories, are listed as follows:VTR $299, this is Vehicle Theft Warranty (dont you already have that with your car insurance?), Window tint, another extended warranty, window tint service plan $799 and the most creative of all, Smartshield $899, 10 year Appearance Protection Plan, that protects the paint. That is just an insurance that not covers even scratches in the paint, it covers acid rain. How often do you get damage from acid rain?What they do not tell you is that you have 30 days to cancel all those unnecessary service-warranty plans. But they deny and refuse to cancel. If you ask if those are warranties, no, they call them accessories. Since when a warranty, insurance policy or now called protection plan is embedded in the vehicle? I sent them the form to cancel those warranties and they still refuse to do so.If you want to cancel, the seller, Omari will send you with the finance Guy, George, the finance guy says “I did not sell anything to you, I can not scratch the add ons” and you have to pay for those unwanted service-warranties.No, I do not recommend Horne Mazda Avondale, the information is very deceptive, the contract or, better said, the papers that they give you do not specify anything clearly. Nowhere it says that you can cancel anything. Ever.Bad experience, if you want to buy a car with a bunch of extended warranties, now called service plans, go there, Omari will be happy to sell those to you, just make sure the car has what you asked for before signing anything. My advice, stay away from that place.
The entire team at this Mazda dealership is outstanding. I called after another dealership treated us poorly, i talked to Nick and his team and they managed to meet a great price and made it a quick and simple process. Took my car in for scheduled maintenance and to have an inspection done. They were timely, informative and very friendly. The woman at the front desk made everything easy. The mechanic who did the service on my car even provided links to videos of him doing the services on my car including showing me that my drive belts were cracked instead of just telling me. Its a nice touch that shows the honesty of the services provided. Ill keep coming back; only makes sense to let Mazda keep up your Mazda!

Mine was an absolutely horrible experience at Horne Mazda. I was a returning customer, with an appointment, and was left waiting so long that it was over 7 hours for my transaction to be completed. Management was aware of what was going on that night.You have options, do yourself the favor of picking another dealer.

I was in the market for a new car and came across this location. I was looking at getting into a Toyota, however, upon visiting here, my mind was quickly changed. I found out the reason why Mazda is up and coming. Adrian Alvarez was the sir who helped me out. He was very patient and helped me tremendously as a first-time new car buyer. Any questions I had, he answered in an expert way and did a thorough explanation. The process was as simple as it gets. Terrible. I bought a vehicle here, less than a day after purchasing I noticed the a/c was off. When I took it in, the man in the service department told me I just didnt know how to turn on a/c. I took it in a second time, and was told no issue was found and that the a/c was working as intended. Mind you, I could be driving for an hour and my vehicle was not getting cool, let alone cold. Took it in a THIRD time, was told to take it elsewhere, even though their Sales Manager Nick, was telling me to my face something was wrong with my car. After being advised to take it elsewhere for a diagnosis, my car was taken in. It has currently been in the shop for over 6 weeks, and I have only been called ONCE to get an update. When I call, the call suddenly drops and I cant get a hold of anybody. On one of the occasions, someone answered but hung up as soon as I started talking. I have been very, very, very patient. The shop where my car is at contacted me, and it has been ready to be picked up by Mazda for OVER A WEEK. I have been trying to call Mazda to let them know so I can go pick up my vehicle and have been more than unsuccessful. In conclusion, I have owned my car for about 2 months, and it has been in the shop for over six weeks. I had to fight to be taken seriously, and to have my vehicle looked at. As a reminder, I noticed it off THE DAY AFTER purchase. Absolutely terrible service, they dont care.
I just moved down here and overall it was an amazing experience, everyone was very nice and very helpful with any questions I had or if I just didn’t understand something. David Potts was who helped me overall he himself made me feel comfortable and was very helpful through the whole process!
It is a shame that in this day and age there are still bait and switch type businesses. They advertise a certain price on the website and when you actually come to purchase, they add on a lot of fees as accessoriesI was excited and ready to purchase a new car from this dealership. I called before I drove down to verify that the discounted price they advertised was the actual price and the discount applied to everyone. They were about $1500 cheaper advertised on their website then other dealers.What this dealer does is really pretty despicable and dishonest to say the least. After selecting the car I wanted, they first produced an invoice that was not what they advertised. Only after I pointed this out did the sales person (Tyler) go back to the manager and suddenly the price changed to what they advertised EXCEPT they then add on a lot of additional fees that no other dealer adds. One such fee was labeled as an accessory when I asked what that was for, they said it was for an exterior paint and interior seat extended warranty. Something called Safeguard or similar name. I said I didnt want that and to take it off. I was told it is mandatory and that it was not a choice and that all customers were charged this (over $2500). Since when does an optional warranty become mandatory? This is obviously a way in which they advertise a certain price then add on these additional accessory fees to bring it not only to the cost of every other dealer but actually MORE then any other dealer. Classic bait and switch.I declined to purchase from them and instead went to a more honest and respectable dealer. I found it even funnier that after my visit, I received an e-mail from a manager asking about my visit. When I wrote back to them in an e-mail about the added mandatory warranty fees and other costs and how I thought this was very dishonest, she replied.. it is best that we part ways and you do not purchase from this dealer. I think that says it all about their practices, professionalism and honesty.Dont be fooled by their advertised prices on the website.

I saw the exact preowned Subaru Outback that I was looking for while doing a broad search online, and got a quick response from Adrian at Horne Mazda Avondale. After a couple emails to confirm that it was still available, I set up an appointment to view it. In the meantime, I asked a couple questions via text and got a quick answer, and I was greeted with the car running and cooled off when I arrived. I set my limits and terms, and Adrian was able to consult the powers that be to match those terms and got a fantastic value for my trade-in and financing I was comfortable with. Throughout the process I felt listened to, had a great conversation in between numbers and protocol, and I was in and out between 3:15-6ish, which is a record in my history of car buying. In all honesty, experience here is 5-star. From the moment of the test drive to the final signature. All the team involved in our car sale process was on point. AJ (our sales rep) was very knowledgeable about the CX-30 & CX-5. We walked us through both of the cars different features and specs. He was extremely patient when it came to negotiating and was always looking for how he could create the perfect deal to fit our needs. David was also great. He was there at the perfect moment to finalize our negotiation and get us an awesome deal. Like he stated “it’s about what you feel comfortable with”. So he definitely hit that mark. Finally, Jarvis, the finance manager, will walk you through a quick process of creating the finance package for you. Also extremely knowledgeable in his area and therefore explains with great detail about each paper you’re signing.Each step of the way was just better and better, and at the end of the night they even stayed later than closing just to get us finalized and out on a new car.If you come here, you’ll be appreciative about all of these steps.Just Don’t hesitate. You will only get great service the day you purchase your car. After that you become an inconvenience for everyone here. I was on hold for over 30 min just to get the price of an oil change for my cx5. I had an appointment at 2 pm dropped my vehicle off at 1:50 and it’s currently 5:15 and I am still waiting. Everyone will sit around and do nothing with an upset look on their face. I have owned 3 cars from Chevy and my 4th I decided to go to Mazda… Big mistake. The car is beautiful and everything I expected but the service makes you doubt the purchase

This review is for Nick Nicholas. This is the worst customer service from a sales manager that I have ever received. Lost his sales person a sale simply due to his attitude and his unwillingness to even have a conversation regarding the vehicle. I am well aware how car sales is done and for the manager to steamroll his sales staff by refusing to work with their customer when the salesman is busy is downright pathetic. Made excuses for lack of communication despite email, text, etc. all being perfectly viable options of communication when a phone call was missed and promptly returned. Unbelievable.

Weve never given an auto dealership a review, but we feel compelled to do so now. Our experience with Horne Mazda Avondale in Arizona wasnt just painless, but actually quite pleasant. Ruben Mendez was very helpful by waiting for my husband to fill out paperwork at CarMax for the sale of our BMW and then drove us to the dealership. Joe Livingston first spoke with us in El Paso, TX until he found the SUV we were looking for. Jarvis Newman in finance was very professional as he went over the entire process before we signed our life away! LOL Joe had us covered from the time we spoke on the phone up until we waved as we drove away. I cant say enough good things about the staff at Horne Mazda. Joe was gracious in making sure we were comfortable, which included our 2 small dogs! We never had to ask for water and actually they have a beverage center for hot chocolate and all types of coffee. I always read reviews and when I went down to this location I was greeted and taken care of by Adrian Alvarez & Ms. Trumbull in finance. Both were very professional and had great personalities. Drove 45 minutes for a service after I had to get off work early (which is hard to do in itself) to get there at 5. I was 5 minutes away when I called and was told no because it was to late. I can’t control what happens on a freeway and there were two crashes. This is horribly wrong. I really do not write bad reviews ever but this got under my skin bad.

Purchase order was confirmed and my card charged.After a day I got a message saying they were cancelling the order because they didnt want to ship overseas (although it is an option in their store).The refund is less then what I was charged. Maybe because they marked the cancellation as by a request from the buyer.So deeply unprofessional. So deeply sleazy.

Be careful on the internet sales. I originally came in to Mazada Horne to purchase a jeep that was for sale online. When i arrived the jeep the had posted online was not the same one they were selling. My major concern was bumper damage. They assured me (Omari) that the bumper was the only thing that needed to be changed. The sales rep (Oamri)assisting me was not very helpful as he did not have answers for my questions nor did was he proactive about finding someone who does know. After purchasing the vehicle, they assured me my jeep would be ready in 3-5days. They notify me on the 3rd business day that they will not be able to sell me the vehicle due to it having frame damage. When i asked if they can talk on my behalf to the bank due to the inquiries on my credit. They stated they couldnt help me or they didnt know if they could. I requested that they find this out. They never contacted me back. Nick the sales manager was not helpful. would not recommend this place due too false advertisement, lack of communication and them not doing their due diligence prior to selling a used vehicle to consumers. My Overall experience was terrible.
I didnt know what I was missing until me and my husband came to this dealership and had the absolute privilege of having Adrian Alvarez as our salesman. I was in an accident and lost my vehicle about a month before finally coming to this dealership and was having the most horrible experience in other places. We told him what would work and he found me a perfect fit with my price and my vehicle. I ended up getting into a 2021 CX-3 and my husband traded in his vehicle for a Honda civic. There was 0 pressure to buy, it felt like weve known each other for years. I HIGHLY recommend seeing Adrian if you are even just thinking about a vehicle purchase. Our finance experience was made quick and easy with Ms. Trumbull and we loved her!

This was my first visit to this dealership for routine auto maintenance and I am so happy with my experience there. They provided excellent service and even gave me with a detailed video of services my car would be needing. The best part of all of this for me was that I didnt have any salesmen hounding me while I was there waiting for my vehicle. Its okay to approach someone to see if theyd be interested in a new vehicle but its very annoying when salesmen keep pushing you trying to convince you to get a new vehicle when youre really not there for that. So thank you for not doing that! Will definitely keep going there for routine maintenance on my Mazda and when I AM ready for a new one, This is where Ill be going.
Good work and detailed video explaining what they did. No unnecessary work done. I do have to remember to ask them not to do the cabin air filter next time since I think it was overpriced for something I could easily do myself.

Ricky, our sales rep., was great. Not pushy, very informative and helpful. Even in follow-up communication efforts, he has responded VERY quickly. We would definitely recommend Avondale Mazda to a friend.

Pat B was my salesman and not only did he give me a great price on the vehicle I wanted he was very involved in the purchase and the financing to make sure I had a great experience with everyone I interacted with at the dealership. As a matter of fact when I came in to purchase my vehicle Pat stayed with me even though he was off. Unlike other dealerships Ive been to before the in-between time waiting for financing was spent in a waiting room with other potential buyers waiting for their financing as well but instead Pat took the time to get to know me as we talked about family and the neat and unique things about other cars in the showroom.The finance manager Virginia was also very kind and courteous. Not only in a business way but in a personal way as if You were interacting with family. Pat and Virginia made the purchase of my new vehicle a Great experience!I also had a good experience with the sales manager above Pat in being able to purchase my vehicle. Ive never walked out of a dealership feeling like I had made a couple friends. I really appreciated their time and demeanor. Wherever you are in the valley go find these two, its worth it.
Avondale Mazda Service Advisors customer service has been amazing! Paola was patient and understanding and she enlisted Troy in diagnosing an issue I am having with a used car I had just purchased from a dealer, and who reused to acknowledge the problem existed. I know that since that diagnosis, Troy has been contacted repeatedly by that dealer and the nearby Mazda dealer regarding his findings. His help has been critical in getting the car seller to accept responsibility for their faulty repairs. I would have had the repairs done by Avondale Mazda but the financial responsibility is with the seller. Thank you very much.
Would give David the salesman full stars as he was great but just had the worst experience at this dealership. Nick the sales mgr was given our written offer with CASH circled and told to him then he ran our credit which immediately showed as a hard hit, which we didn’t want. He also added $1200 onto the advertised internet special price for an ArmorAll service that they already did on the car!

Worst Experience and Worst Customer Service Ever.I bought a new vehicle in January and wish Id given my business to someone else. Firstly durning the test drive their so called top sales person Joshua was telling me that he likes to get wasted on whiskey and drive his Tundra down dirt roads. Secondly I was sold on a pre paid maintenance package of which I received a receipt but no paper work or information on how to redeem or use this. Several emails and voice mails later I finally got a response but still no useful information just a promise that someone would call me back. NO call back. After weeks of this and wasting several hours of my time I was told I could take my truck anywhere and pay for an oil change and the warranty company would reimburse me.. Well the warranty company said no. So now Ive wasted hours and hours on the phone trying to use a warranty service that I paid for but is ultimately a useless scam.
The customer service at Avondale Mazda is amazing! They provide timely updates on the status of my service and even provided a video of my vehicle being worked on. That was really great. I will definitely take my vehicle back to Avondale again.
