Very nice guy! I came in just to get one kitchen knife sharpened and took only a few minutes. I was using an old knife holder from a smaller knife and he offered to trade me with a knife case that fit for free. Earned a forever customer and will 100% recommend to everyone.

Ive bought a few knives here in the past for myself, my gf, and as gifts for family. Thought it was a neat shop. Got a sweet switchie for $20 that was made in china. Unfortunately it was stolen by a car cleaning crew and wasnt able to get it back.. went back to the blade shop, found the same exact one, but its for $40 now. No worries, thought eh ill come back another time and see if i find something better, cause that one was chinese anyway, not really worth $40 imo. But what really set me off was went i browsed around, the guy came around and just sat there and stared at me with a disgruntled look on his face. I felt as if i was completely respectful towards him. Made me feel very profiled... he wasnt doing that with any of the other customers.. i understand he doesnt want things to be stolen but wow! never going back there again...

Brought in an Indian Kukri for sharpening and they did a great job! This shop carries a huge selection of all things edged, including Kitchen Cutlery, switchblades, Axes, swords and more. Their prices are very reasonable and truly reflect the huge variety of wares carried there.

This store is amazing. Kid friendly and safe. The owner Frank and his crew are like modern day blacksmith. Any thing from Damascus knifes to switch blades and ninja stars (real ones). These guys can sharpen chef knifes or machetes. 5+

Came in on a Sunday and was in and out in 10 minutes with my kitchen knife as sharp as the day I bought it. They were even able to fix a decent size knick in the blade and was told they can fix broken knife tips as well. Quick service, affordable prices, personable/knowledgeable staff, nice selection. I brought in a very old Brusletto knife that had been badly scarred. This knife is a family heirloom and is very precious to me and I was afraid to take it to be sharpened due the fear of it becoming damaged even more. These guys are awesome! Honestly one of the coolest shops Ive been in, staff is eager to help and always willing to give you some information about the blades they have. You will for sure find something that catches you eye, especially if you like blades and knives!!!

What a hidden gem of a place! The owner is very nice, knowledgeable and accommodating. They have a nice selection of brands and a few automatics as well, both side open and OTF. Knife repairs are on the menu and he is starting to make handles as well as cut keys. Buying knives online just isnt the same as accidentally cutting yourself in a local knife shop but dont worry, theyve got Band-Aids too :-)

I’m giving five stars because the knife sharpening was superior… the woman that helps you at the counter is friendly, but was a bit of a hot mess on both of the occasions I’ve had interaction with her. If she would focus the entire experience would be a lot better for the customer. Kind of expensive but like I said the knife sharpening was great - maybe a multi-knife discount would make it more affordable to get all my knives sharpened.

Female employee 97% Didnt know all the answers but made up for it with enthusiasm and good sales skills.Male employee 12% As unhelpful and unfriendly as he could have been. Every question I asked was someone elses job there. Told me to take business else where. Was gone at least 40 minutes when store was supposed to be open. (Friday 2-3)Owners only there on weekends. Good thing they both have day jobs.She makes them money. If he is like that every day he is costing them money.

Asked if they could sharpen wood chipper/shredder blades. While they admitted they never had, Frank said he thought they could do a good job based on some similar experience. They took out the nicks in the two chipper blades and honed them razor sharp and now my machine smoothly self-feeds branches which it did not when the blades were dull. I have yet to use the shredder part of my machine, but that blade that looks like a mini lawn mower blade looks very good too. Frank helped accommodate a pick-up and drop-off in a closer part of town for me, where we both had some business, so that was appreciated too. Fair cost for a non-normal sharpening task done very well. Thanks!

I decided to stay and talk to Kenneth for a little, and he was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. He taught me more about knives, sharpening, and their practices. Go see Ken! Did a quick google search to find someone to sharpen my knife i damaged during a meal prep last week before thanksgiving. Very informative and friendly clerk. Looked well equipped for sharpening any edged tools. Took some time to show me an interesting collectors piece. Mostly Benchmade, Buck, and Case in terms of mid and upper level gear, with some used selection as well.

Dropped off my kitchen knives and scissors and they were sharpened & ready very quickly, very affordably, and everyone I interacted with was very nice. Glad to support this local business!

I have visited the shop twice now, and overall the experience is very positive.They have a very wide selection and seem to stock a little bit of everything. From standard issue swap meet knives and martial arts weapons to more of a select offering from Benchmade,ZT, Kershaw etc....Everyone I have ever dealt with has been very nice and attentive, and I really do enjoy the selection and atmosphere.The only critisism I may have is I feel that the asking price on some of the higher end stuff is a bit more than I expected, even in a brick and mortar store.to be fair, I am not in Austin that often, and I know the area can command a bit of a premium for goods and services.However, there were a few knives I looked at that were marked in some cases more than 100 dollars more than what they can be found for online.On such case was a paragon warlock, marked at 375. Again to be fair here it could have been a rare blade steel or something that I did not notice, but they can be found for 250 almost anywhere else.The new versions of the kimura made by bear and sons (most versions) are priced anywhere from usually 90 to 120 on the high end.The ones I saw available were marked at 160.I looked at a few Benchmade and spydercos and found some to also be a little beyond my expectations.Again, I really dont want to be too critical because I dont know the area too well and I understand overhead and operating costs come in to play.I will stop back by in a few months and see how things progress with their inventory. Either way I appreciate there being a store like this and I wish everyone there a year of growth and prosperity.

I for one thank that this place is one that alot ot people can develop feinds because the poeople that work there are the best vut i have 9nly met one and he was very good at his job and very and chaty and gives good deals but he did say he a Occasionaly got the rudw person that he whould not like but still put his best hand foward(^-^)(*-*)(,^,-,^,)
