My mom got a gift subscription for my daughter and one for my son. I was able to sign up my daughter, no problem. But when I went to redeem the link for my son - the site tries to force me to add a credit card payment. This is a gift and I do not want to add any payment. I have emailed and called multiple times and received no help other than, you have to add a payment method or oh, that is something that I cant do, its a backend thing. I was also told that this kind of thing has been happening to others but I am still waiting on a solution.

We have been subscribing to Literati for a year now and absolutely love the quality and variety of books were recieving. We recently had a shipment stolen off our porch. I was fully prepared to just pay for the books and not get any this month, but Literati reshipped the package and did not charge me for the stolen books. I was surprised and pleased with this policy and would recommend this subscription to anyone looking to enrich their childs shelves!

Their service definitely makes our lives as parents easier. We have 5 great books coming to us every month (or whatever number we choose) by the literati team. Instead of spending hours in the book store or endless searches online not sure if our kid would be interested in a book we choose for him, we have the books coming to us. Our son has the whole week to read, enjoy and choose any book he wants to keep. We pay only for the books we keep. And because he chooses it, this book (or books) becomes his favorite for many months. I would like to add more from our kids perspective: he also likes the stickers with his name on it, which come with the books. And there is an art picture in the box too, which he looks at, studies, talks about, colors or draws upon it. The box comes with his name and it includes the label to send back as well which makes it even more personal for him. We enjoy the letter addressed to him from the literati team. A beautiful poem to encourage him to read and discover more in the world and in his books. The big plus is the literati website is easy to navigate and their customer service is prompt on their response and friendly.

At first, I was super excited for this subscription for two of my children; even recommended this company. HA! I signed up for a $9 something in change, per month membership which turned into $20 bucks per kid, per month. Boxes are never delivered on time; but they sure will take that withdrawal out on time every month. I have a very unhappy son who received a fraction of what his sister received; although, I was charged just as much for a tiny box of no effort.Would not recommend this company. To any one.

Each month, a new theme arrives, and my kids just love the whole package! We receive books we would otherwise not come across. There is also always a beautiful picture to hang on your wall, and name plate stickers to personalize the books into your own collection. Returns are easy, in case you dont want to keep all the books. Its very adorable and no tricks with the prices (no unexpected cost surprises), which is unusual in todays world. Highly recommend! Its a fun way to get kids excited about books!

What a terrible customer experience weve been through. We are even considering suing them. When cancelling our subscription this company provides you an email address that isnt correct (we took a screenshot). I kept chasing and chasing and no one replied. I managed to find another email address and they finally replied. I explained the cancellation page on their website gave me a wrong email address and yet, despite my emails they sent us a box we do not want to accept. As a result, they stated they did everything right and we did things wrong and they wont refund. How unfair... We followed their instructions to cancel and cancelled on time but yet...We are talking about $10 but most importantly, I hate being lied to. We are considering opening a case against them as it is possible given the quality of the answers provided, that were not the only one.

We love literati! My son and I are both equally excited by the box we receive monthly. I love all of the beautiful, curated books that I wouldn’t have found otherwise. My 5-year old son loves each and every book he gets and its hard to choose only a couple to keep. Its inexpensive and hes introduced to books we may not have picked out on our own, but end up keeping. The posters we get in each box have been hung up in his room. This is the BEST way to get new books into my daughters life! I love the way they curate the boxes. The books are diverse, beautiful, thoughtful and FUN! Even if we dont keep ANY of the books, we think the name plates, activity, and posters are gorgeous and well worth the monthly fee. We usually keep about 3 our of 5 books, sometimes we keep ALL of them! The books are very current and representative! Its one of the best things when my daughter sees the distinctive blue box and LIGHTS up!!

In addition to the books, she gets a poster each time. Posters are inspiring as well. All posters are on her room’s walls. Lastly, literati costumer service is excellent. We signed up to receive a monthly Literati box over a year ago and are still happy members! The books come in an adorable blue box that my 3 year old recognizes out the window and knows is his. It comes with 5 hand-picked books, a gorgeous themed artistic drawing, a letter from an author, sticker labels for the books with the child’s name on it, as well as a pre-made return label and tape to easily send back the books you decide not to keep! It’s SO easy and so much fun. There are months we keep all the books and other months we keep one or two. Either way, it’s fun for my son to read and explore new books so frequently. The company is great to work with in case you are out of town and late to return any unwanted books. Not that great for babies. Most of the books were not simple/basic enough. I found myself wanting more realistic/Montessori kind of style books. Most babies according to the things I read don’t really develop their imagination until their 18 mos and even if they do earlier they still need to know more of the basics of life first, I mean it’s called basics for a reason. Just too much for my baby to grasp, even the simpler ones they had.

On top of the convenience of it (getting the books, picking the right books, donating the old books and more), my son gets so excited about his monthly box of books. We open the box together and read them right away. The bonus cute stickers that comes along makes him proud to be the owner of the book (stickers says this book belongs to ...) 😊. Literati just makes it a lot easier to pass on the love of reading.

Literati is wonderful! I have a subscription for each of my children but obviously they share all the books. I love that these are books I would never know about otherwise. Some are with serious subject matter such as “Sonya’s Chickens” which has a lesson about the circle of life. Others are silly and unusual. I highly recommend this subscription to any family with children.

My preschooler and I have truly enjoyed our Literati subscription! Since we only go to the library every few weeks (and now, not at all due to COVID concerns and shut downs), the surprise of expertly curated books each month is great. We get to learn about different authors and illustrators and find books that help deal with certain feelings and circumstances, expose us to experiences other than our own, and give us glimpses of imaginary worlds. We dont keep books from every shipment, but we do always read them!

Amazing experience of book love. We started when our baby was just born with the NEO package. He is now a year old and absolutely loves his books. We go through the package together and decide which ones he is resonating with. He has his favorite books, he has some he doesn’t pay mind to, then a couple months later he comes back to them with new eyes and they become his new faves. He reads all his books, I almost can’t believe his love for them. This is a great subscription.

It’s a local company for us that goes out of their way to support the community - from gifting books to kiddos at the hospital to establishing a library for a nonprofit working with special needs kiddos to handing out books at school lunch pickups for kids quarantined due to the pandemic. It is an “extra” treat for us - but love supporting such a great company and seeing the joy for my kiddos in the process.

Ive been a Literati subscriber for about a year or so and have yet to be dissapointed. I love the personalization in the notes and stickers and the thought that goes into curating the books within the theme. Ive done two age groupings as my child progressed and there is a good mix of fun books with activities for younger ages and more chapter books for the older set. Also really loved some of the non fiction intermingled with the fiction! Great subscription, we look forward to it as soon as we get the shipping notification! 📚♥️

We always get a great selection of books. In a few cases, its been just before a book becomes the new one all the teachers want and that sells out at the book fair. I would say our biggest issue is the kids refuse to part with any of them even after a few years... But its difficult to complain about anything that makes your kids love reading.
