This review has been a long time coming, but I just have to post my experience with Virgil’s towing company. My family and I were passing through Austin on the freeway not too long after midnight on the day of Thanksgiving 2020 when a doe stopped in front of our car resulting in the whole front end of my Honda Pilot being smashed in. I had my 5 and 3 year old in the car with me and I was worried about being stranded with little ones but Ross came very promptly I mean within minutes and coordinated with AAA to take care of our car. Ross helped us with our baggage, took us to a nearby hotel, and even waited with us when there was no one at the front desk. This man went above and beyond my expectations and honestly he helped turn this very stressful situation into a much more manageable one. I would recommend Virgil’s Midtown Towing to ANYONE especially considering their choice of exceptional and professional employees. THANK YOU ROSS. And God bless you. :)

I called Virgils for a flat tire change. I was afraid I would have to wait hours. They told me 1/2 hour, but was only about 15 minutes. Ross called me when he got to my car. He first tried pumping up the tire, but wouldnt hold air. Then he found a sharp piece of metal in the tire. He said if I wanted, he could plug the hole and inflate the tire, which sounded great. He put a plug in and pumped up the tire in just minutes. Super friendly and nice guy! He asked if I needed anything else done, which I didnt. Ross could not have been more helpful! Great guy, was a pleasure to meet him. Thanks a bunch to Ross and Virgils! Will definitely will be calling them again.

Ross was so prompt he beat me to where my car was! He was polite and answered all my questions about the battery that I had asked. The car does need a new battery and he made sure to ask if it could be delivered and installed in the morning as he didn’t have the battery I needed. That was no problem so all is good. He jump started the car but when he shut it off, it needed another jump. He checked battery and it was not good. Very satisfied with Ross today!

Another great experience using Virgils Auto clinic. Unbelievable service from the initial call all the way to have vehicles towed away! On 9/22/20 at 5:15 pm Brian of Virgils Midtown was called to aid me with a blown tire. I was on the side of the interstate during the evening rush to get home. He arrived super fast. Was very quick and super professional -- helped me get the vehicle on the road and back home safely. Great work and Great service - Please give Brian a raise :) - Thank You!

Ross and his team had the fastest turnaround time Ive had for a AAA issue. My battery was warrantied because it started failing after 10 months. They replaced it while I was at work and had excellent customer service

Company closed its Austin location. They wont tell you that if you call and ask for service.

I called AAA and they set me up with this service even though I had to get a winch extraction TWICE at once to get out of my own driveway all the way in Owatonna. Caleb and Ryan were both very helpful and provided excellent service. My car wasn’t starting and I thought it was a battery issue and turned out to be a starter issue. Both Caleb and Ryan were a huge help in getting my car to the nearest shop and I will definitely be calling them the next time I am in trouble!

Needless to say I wasnt expecting my car to die on the side of the road. After calling Ross came to my rescue to tow my car. However there was miscommunication on my insurance end and they put the order in for a jump and not a tow. Per protocol Ross was not able to tow and I was going to need to call in and wait for someone else to come and tow my car. As a young female it wasnt the most comfortable thing to wait on the side of the road alone. Ross (being the gentleman he is) allowed me to stay in his truck as I called into have my insurance change the order. Long story short Ross was an answer to my prayer. Thank you for being so professional and caring all together!

Had an issue with replacing a tire on the highway. Ross was super helpful and friendly getting it replaced. In short time, I was back on the road.

Ross called me shortly before arrival since I was not at my vehicle. My car was in a Dairy Queen lot that was very busy on a 90 degree + day. The lot is small and spaces go in different directions, so it is easy to imagine how difficult it would be to get a tow truck in. Ross pulled in and let the person he had blocked know that it was temporary. He had to direct traffic for a few minutes before he could even get my car moved to hook up with the truck. Ross was friendly to all, even at the end of a long, hot day! It made a difficult day a little easier. Thanks to Ross!

Not only were they helpful,but they cheered me up and we made a plan, or I should say, they made a plan to help me. We will pick you up and drive you 40 miles to the airport to rent a car Then the drivers helped me pack my dog and all my stuff into the tow truck and cheerf

I was involved in a semi truck accident just south of Austin MN, Midtown Towing was called and were on the scene in a matter of minutes. They later checked on me while I was at the hospital for mandatory DOT tests and offered me a ride to one of the local hotels, this was a welcome surprise. The tractor and trailer were on their side in a deep drainage ditch and they did a great job getting it upright and back on the road. Thanks for everything Midtown !!!

My van broke down in Blooming Prairie and AAA contacted two other tow companies first. Both companies gave lame excuses as to why they would take 2+ hours. I told the AAA person to contact Virgils. Ive used Virgils before and they have always been prompt and courteous. This time was no exception. Great job by my driver, Braeden F. Virgils will always be my first choice in the future.

We were on our way with our camper for our first vacation of the season. We decided to make a stop at the SPAM museum in Austin,MN. We pulled into the parking lot and noticed some kind of fluid pouring out from under the pickup. Hoping it was water from the air conditioner because it was really hot out there. It wasn’t. The fluid was red, transmission fluid.We had a dead pickup and a trailer ninety miles from home. Called our Insurance Company, first time use of our emergency roadside service, and they sent Midtown Towing in Austin,MN. He hooked up the pickup and the camper and away we went. Home!So professional, friendly and a very welcomed sight. My husband offered to buy him ice cream on the way home, but he refused had many more people to save. Sure appreciated the ride home.

The police department had my vehicle towed (snow plowing issue) while I was recovering from Covid. It took some time to find out where the vehicle was having never had an issue in Austin before and not finding any answers online. I finally got an answer and left messages for the general manager to try and work something out, no reply. I spoke with someone today and they refuse to work with me at all. For a company that prides themselves for their customer service this is pretty disappointing. Unless AAA sends them I wont be calling Virgils for anything in the future.

I broke down on I-90 around 10pm when my alternator went out and I called Midtown Towing in Austin. They were there in 25min.! The guy and his girlfriend were very nice, They towed my vehicle to Rochester and took me home down the street. I’d recommend this towing company to everyone!

He had to improvise a bit but he got the tire off and the spare put on. Super fast and friendly service. Reasonable price considering what a tow would have cost me.
