This place is easy to get in and out of and ideally located near our home. They do a thorough job with inspections and oil changes and also have safety accessories like light bulbs and wipers. I highly recommend them!

Completely incompetent there now. Been customer for many years and this time they were incapable of performing inspection. Tire inflation was ignored as well as fluid levels. They even turned on my engine light which went out next day. Passed inspection at another shop days later. Save yourself many headaches and go to a Valvoline corporate shop. Wendy there is completely incompetent. Ignores my phone calls, message machine is full and has previous owners voice on it. Do not trust them. Scary to have trusted idiots with my expensive Tahoe. Noticed another review here where they blew up the engine from oil leak.

My husband and I were having issues getting our car passed for inspection. We had to come back 3 times before we finally passed, but each time we were not charged and were given informative advice on what the issue was as well as direction on how to fix it. Wendy and Nick helped us all three times and were incredibly kind and helpful throughout the entire process. We even specifically drove out of our way to come to THIS Valvoline for the amazing customer service and support from these two. Cannot recommend this place enough!! We will not go elsewhere so long as they are working here.

Nick and Wendy were so cool! Service with a smile. It was a nice change coming to a mechanic shop. You typically don’t find that in the employees at most shops.

After 3 trips here, went to my usual inspection place and passed inspection in under 10mins. Dont waste your time.

Just needed a quick oil change and thats what I got. Someone rolled up at the same time as I did and Cleveland did a fantastic job getting us both out in a timely manner while making us feel as though he was thorough. I do understand the desire to get home at the end of the workday; however, if your business closes at 5PM, that doesnt mean 4:45PM. Especially when the worker is sitting outside at the patio table, smoking on the phone saying thats it for today with absolutely no customers.

My husband and I have been coming here for years to get our oil changed and our state inspections. The last two times havent been great. We went once and they had no one who could perform a state inspection. Most recently, we came for an oil change and a state inspection (which we had to tell them 4 times). The oil change was completed to our satisfaction but they declined to give us a pass/fail on the state inspection due to brake fluid levels. They advised us to take the car to have the brakes looked at because they were sure they would need work. We had recently had the brakes worked on but took it in to our mechanic anyway who gave the car a clean bill of health. Another inspector gave the car a pass with no issues.

This is the best oil change shop in Northwest Austin, and has been for decades. No BS trying to change your brake fluid or checking your differential fluid. Just a quick no-nonsense oil change from courteous professionals. Often there is zero waiting time.

The technicians are very professional and courteous at this location. They are also very fast and get you back on the road quickly. This location is actually out of my way, but I keep going there for the reasons above.

I took my car for an oil change and the car leaked the oil for two weeks. I towed back here and the manager turned the car engine eventhough I told him that the car had no oil. The result is that now I have to fix my car and the cost is $2,300 for the timing belt damage, labor and other parts. I contacted the owener and he did not get back with me. Save yourself money and stress. Do not go here.

I wasn’t ready with my insurance card and had to get out of line. The guys were cool enough to let me skip the line whenever I finally did get my card. Excellent service.

I was in need of inspection and oil change before I went out of town for business. Unfortunately, I was in a huge hurry and rushed in to Valvoline Express Care NW. They greeted me with a polite and professional manner and the shop was clean and tidy. They had me in and out in less then 20 minutes! Extremely satisfied and I will definitely be taking my other vehicles here in the future.

The team here was very helpful. I had a service light on and wanted to get it checked. They checked it and repaired it, but I got the light on again in a couple of days and they repaired it again without any hassle. I’m waiting to see if it worked this time or not, but I had a good experience overall.

I had to come get my oil changed very late, about 10 minutes before they closed. Even with a bad storm coming, Sam (store manager) and his crew still without hesitation helped me out and gave PHENOMENAL customer service.They just found a customer for life, thanks again guys!!

I wasnt impressed and wont be back. The price for a synthetic oil change $101 is ridiculously high. Also, it says on the invoice that they did a complete check of the car which they didnt do. How do I know this because I was sitting in the vehicle the entire time! The only thing I saw them do was check the tire pressure and take a smoke break. Also, put on some masks guys!

Dont go here! This is not like the Valvoline chain auto Care. I went here for a battery check, they had no clue what was wrong. They didnt even know what to check. Then they tried 10 minutes to jump start and couldnt do it either. Finally borrowed a jump start cable from the Auto center next building and my car started right away.

Ive always had good, efficient and friendly service with Luis at the helm. I highly recommend this place for your next inspection.

I dont normally give 5 stars because I feel that means that the place is perfect and perfect doesnt exist usually. But this place is perfect in the fact that you expect what you get. These guys are friendly and fast. Every time I go, Im in and out within a very reasonable amount of time. They dont try to get you to do other services unless they really feel like you need it. I highly recommend this place if ever you need an oil change or work done on your vehicle. Spot on!

This place is the biggest reap off. I requested an oil change that supposed to cost $49, when the tech was done, he told me it was $83, I tried to be polite and told him that that was not the service that I requested but he refused to listen to anything i had to say and was rude. I used to take my company vehicle there and never experience that kind of service until I took my personal vehicle there.

I came in today to get my car inspected. In and out in about ten minutes (at lunch time!). Everyone treated me with respect. Absolutely fantastic experience.

BEST shop in town, the owner Luis is usually there and one of the nicest guys youll ever meet. I had a bad experience at jiffy lube I will never go back there because they failed inspection and took my money forcing me to go back there when it is extremely inconvenient. After I told Luis what happened he did the re-inspection for free.

I just had a great experience her. Im not good with cars and they made it a really nice experience for me. I went to Midas to get my oil changed last time and somehow it cost over $90! For my high mileage vehicle it was almost $40 cheaper! They were informative and didnt pressure me into buying anything. I just moved near here and Ill be back here again!

On my first visit to this location for a state inspection I found the personnel to be extremely helpful and courteous. The waiting room was exceptionally clean and pleasant filled with the smell of fresh brewed coffee and a tv/magazines to pass the time. Which really wasnt needed as the inspection was done quickly and I found a flower in my car since it was Ladies Day. A very nice experience and well be back.

I love this place! Forget JiffyLube and Lambs. I will never go to those places again! Luis Mercado is super helpful and understood what I wanted to fix. He wasnt pushy or rude like other mechanics. He explained exactly what was wrong with my car and what they would do to fix it. I definitely recommend you check them out for future car repairs

This place is close to my work so I thought I would be able to drop it off and come back and get in after work. The gentleman greeted me right away and said that I could do that or he could get me right in. He asked me what oil I wanted, which is rare to find these days. Normally they try to up sell you the higher end oil. They got me in and out in less than the time quoted. I had asked to put washer fluid in and they had already done it. Great service, friendly staff and good pricing. I will be back for sure. They even gave me a coupon for the next time I come in.

Honest people- showed me my battery was fine after another place said I need a new one. I went for a vehicle inspection - there was a 2.5 hour wait down the street, this place got me in right away and I was done in about 15-20 minutes. Will use again for sure!

Super great group of guys whove helped me out a couple of times. The first time I went for an oil change there, they had misquoted me on what the price would be because they didnt realize how much oil my car took. They ended up giving me the original quoted price, which was great and a solid $20 less than I usually have to pay.Also, went to get an inspection here, but didnt realize your 3rd brake light now has to work for your car to pass. They went ahead and inspected, let me know that I could just get the light part on Amazon and Youtube how to fix it myself rather than paying them to do it or the dealer which would be even more expensive, and didnt charge me until I came back after it was fixed (which they could have, and I have had happened to me before).Good, honest people! I recommend to everyone.

Only note is that this is a valvoline express, and not one of the franchised versions meaning some of the normal coupons dont apply. They did cut me a $10 discount for doing both the state inspection and oil change though. Good service.

I recently got in to an accident and my door was a bit banged up and it CANNOT open fully. This is the first thing I explained to the person taking my car in for the oil change. First thing this kid does is of course swing the door open. I told him not do that again, but like a toddler he swings the door open again, bending it. I was watching them do the oil change, just in case the same kid wanted to take out his frustrations out on my car. I was then given the receipt and it said they put air in my tires; no they did not put air in my tires, but thanks for lying. Ultimately, it is best to go elsewhere, otherwise the children working at this shop will treat your car like a toy and you may very well come out with new damage. And before the owner tries to save face by saying this happened at another valvoline location you are incorrect, these are your workers providing terrible service. Dont waste your time trying to respond to this review, use your time instead on hiring people with some common sense and listening skills.

Owner kindly and professionally informed me that my auto dealer sold me a car with windows too darkly tinted to pass inspection. At his suggestion, I had the auto dealer pay for the window tint adjustment, at no cost to me. I then returned, thanked him for the suggestion, and passed the inspection. Completely unprofessional and untrustworthy. Tried to scam me after I went for a simple annual emissions/safety inspection that was due the next day. Told me, bad news, your gas cap failed, but we can sell you a new one for $65! I knew this was baloney because I had just had my 15k service. So I took my keys, drove to the dealer down the street, and the dealer mechanic rolled his eyes at my story in sympathy (I guess this was a pretty common scam), examined my gas cap, and said it was perfectly fine, but that they couldnt take over the inspection. When I asked if my dealer mechanic if he could give me some sort of proof it was fine, he just flipped the O-ring and gave me a printout of the repair. Came back to Valvoline Express care with the printout, stunned the attendant because I had maneuvered through his scam, and finally got my inspection completed. Although, the attendant disrespectfully danced around and drummed his hands on my rear fender during this last gas cap check.This place is as untrustworthy as it looks. If they are trying to do scams during simple vehicle inspections, who knows how low they will sink when your vehicle is actually getting repaired.

I asked for Max oil but saw him put in Premium. When I was paying he charged me for Max. When I asked he said no I put in Max oil but I told him you used the nozzle that says premium. He said oh dont go by what thats say and he kept on saying he put Max.If you plan on using basic oil that this place maybe find for you but if you plan on using anything other than that I would steer you away.UPDATE.. The owner called and reviewed the video and was about to confirm my side of the story. His employee apologized for the mistake and the owner sent me a refund for the oil change. They owned up to their mistake which is something not lot of business do these days.

It is not my fault your building looks the same, your uniforms look the same, and google maps tells me your the same. What definitely was not the same was your attitude. If you didnt want to work just say so. I specifically asked after all that if i could get my oil changed with you even though i had been to another in a different city and yet you still insisted on telling me why your not like them. So i had to drive off and leave you arguing with your self. I should have known cause the customer before me drove away too as i drove up. So sad.

I appreciate never being sold up. If I come in for an oil change, I get an oil change. My filters are getting pretty dirty, so they told me about them, bt also told me they were ok to drive with out changing them at this time.

Second time I’ve tried to get an oil change but they don’t open on time. It’s 8:11am and they’re still closed; supposed to be open at 8am.

Great place they dont try to pressure you into purchasing extra stuff your car doesnt need.

$80 for a oil change is ridiculous, and thats just for a oil change no tire rotation, nothing.
