I will recommend the place based on my experience.The mechanic did a thorough check of the car and suggested possible repairs needed in future. The owner looked at the previous services done at other locations to trim the list.The owner was honest about the alignment that it could not be fixed completely.The car was not ready at the time promised at 12 noon although I dropped it at 8 am promptly. I dont mind this slight delay since they did a through check of the car.

I recently purchased a 2017 Chevy Silverado 6.6L, and shortly after I purchased it, the check engine light came on. I took it to the dealer, and each time they charge me an enormous about of money, but the check engine light kept coming on. Once again GAD comes through for me! I’ve been going to GAD for almost 4 years with multiple vehicles, mainly Audis. I am also not mechanically inclined. Got a brake job and an oil change. Reasonable prices and good communication. But who doesnt top off fluids like windshield wiper fluid with an oil change? Makes me wonder what else they didnt check.

Everyone is always looking for the 1 Mechanic Shop that will treat them fair and be honest with them. You always seem like your being taken advantage of when you pay the bill and leave. Well that is NOT the case here my friends. I took my Trailblazer in for brakes. I was told they were shot. So before getting anything done I took it to Dwayne and the crew. It wasnt the brakes at all. It was the Racket Pinion and ball joints (which is more expensive to repair than the truck is worth) and end result I did nothing. If I had the brakes done as recommended elsewhere I would have spent over $1,000 and walked out with the same issue. Im telling you, that you will NOT find Anyone who is more trustworthy, honest, and treat you with respect than Genuine Automotive and Diesel. Once you use them you will never use anyone else again. You wont even want to move too far away once they take care of your auto needs. Also one other thing, you will Never go into anywhere that has a cleaner front office and Wow the bathroom, what can I say. They take pride from front office to fixing the cars. It felt like having my sister or friend take me through the process. He clearly cares that his customers understand whats going on with their car.2) The perks - they offer a concierge service, so Dwayne actually dropped me off at my house while they were working on my car. I just had a fantastic experience with Dwayne. I had my catalytic converter replaced last week. My car was running a little loud and had some exhaust coming through the vents. Car went back to them and they noticed there was a crack in the manifold. Long story short.. Dwayne replaced the manifold and just charged me for the part, not the labor.OH! Did I mention their concierge service will pick up your car anywhere else in the Austin Metro area, AND provide you with a loaner?I found my trusted auto repair shop and I’ll be using Dwayne from now on.

I recently had my wifes van repaired at Genuine Automotive. I had a concern later about the repair because of a noise coming from the door that was repaired. I let Genuine know and was contacted by Dwayne, the owner. They arranged right away for my wifes van to be picked up, a loaner to be left to drive and checked it out. I saw they were providing oil changes for healthcare professionals so I called to schedule. Hailey (sp?) Answered and was wonderful! I also read the great reviews. The oil tech was knowledgeable and awesome (let me know about some things that would be helpful for my specific car). I would absolutely come back in the future and provide 5 stars had it not been for one thing.When I first entered the office a different woman helped me. She was unmasked (door says masks required which is good). She was coughing (sounded wet, phlegm) into her hands, not washing hands or sanitizing, typing on computer, coughed again. Repeat. Then asked me for my keys. This is disgusting at any time but we are in a PANDEMIC. I work in an ER. I love that the business is helping healthcare workers and am appreciative, but I dont think Ill be coming back. I doused my keys in hand sanitizer when I got them back. I would highly encourage everyone to take this virus seriously if you are not already.

This place doesn’t know how to manage a bad situation. After they did some work to my truck they never said that my truck WAS NOT LONGER SAFE TO DRIVE. 5 min after I left the shop my truck overheated and then BURNED. If they had only advise me that I would have towed it to my house and not putting at risk my life. After many calls negotiating a discount they just said they would check it and no answer anything. If you have a bad luck and things go wrong this place won’t solve anything for you.

GAD is true to their word! I had my transmission rebuilt by them in March of this year and two weeks ago, my check engine light popped and transmission went into safe mode. Took my Nissan XTerra back and GAD had all the work done on the transmission and all the charges were waived because it was still covered by the warranty. Great service, had a loaner car and no charges .... thanks for keeping your word GAD. Well done!!!

Genuine Automotive & Diesel has been good for me. I used their loaner car program when they were working on my car and didn’t miss an appointment. The service on my car was done quickly and it runs great. They have a concierge service also, but they’re close enough to my house that I don’t utilize that. Couldn’t be happier with these guys, and they are the only ones who will work on my car now.

Dwayne & his team were very easy to work with! I dropped off my Suburban & Charles gave me a ride back to the house. Nick called me & explained my options to repair our A/C. I have never found a more honest and hard working mechanic shop in my life. Dwayne and his crew are honest, fair-priced, and relaible.My rogue broke down and I had no clue what to do or what was wrong with it, luckily I was referred to genuine automotive and from first speaking to Dwayne to diagnosing the issue, to replacing my motor, I would not want to use any other mechanic. He is honest in diagnosing issues, which as a girl whos stepdad is a hobby mechanic but lives 500 miles away is a relief. The motors they use have a really good warranty and are fair priced. His labor is fair priced and in my opinion under-priced for the quality of work they do. After picking up my rogue, it has never ran better or drove more smoothly. He has free loaner cars to use while he is working on your car. He also immediately came to the rescue when my apartment complex accidentally towed the loaner car he let me use. Itd be a mistake to take your vehicle to any other mechanic shop other than Dwayne and his crew. They truly care about their customers and quality workmanship to make your vehicle run great.

There just arent enough stars to explain how much I trust the staff at Genuine Automotive and Diesel. Every time Ive taken my 10 year old car to them, they take amazing care of ot and me. They tell me what needs fixing now, what will be coming up, and pay attention to lots of little details (like replacing my dead key fob battery) to make sure that Im a loyal customer. Recently, I dropped my car off at their shop before leaving for the airport. They delivered my car to my house while I was gone!!!
