I absolutely love our motorized shades! We have arched windows that span a 25 foot wall and needed a solution to block the sun. After speaking to several companies who could not find a solution for our arched windows, we finally found Austin Home Solutions. Anya was great to work! She helped us choose the right motorized shade that we mounted outside the arched window and hid near the ceiling moulding. Genius! The installation went smooth and the guys did a fantastic job. The shades are modern and beautiful!

I had the pleasure of working with Randall, John, Gabe and Ken from Austin Home systems. Their service and kindness to us was outstanding! We are pretty ignorant with home audio/visual systems, and they walked us through everything, did not try to overcharge us or oversell us, and came back whenever we needed for follow up items. They were always very patient with our requests and very understanding about us being easily confused. We worked with Ken the most at our home, and he was amazing. It meant a lot to us that they were willing to work with some of our current items, blend in newer items, and brought us into a more current system that still suited our home. I would highly recommend!

Each time I asked a question, they would quickly respond with an answer. Each of the 7 individuals I talked to were very professional. They listened to what I wanted to accomplish and were able to meet the uniqueness of my requests.

We brought several Lutron motorized shades for our living room to patio doors and stair windows from Austin Home System. We chose the company because the quality of their products and their very reasonable price comparing with others. Ayan was great to work with. She helped select the right shades and color. She responded to our questions promptly each time. The jobs were pretty challenging as the glass doors are almost 100” wide and the stair windows are high. Two of the shades didn’t fit 100% after the first installation. When we asked if they could be redone, the owner Randal responded personally.! The installation team came, re-measured, and re-ordered new shades. They were patient making sure the installation was done right.Lutron Shades look beautiful and modern in our home. We are very happy with the results and their great service. We highly recommend the company!

These guys were great. And there were a lot of them! Each an expert in their field covering: needs assessment, budgeting, system design (WiFi, wires), audio and video equipment selection, installation design, actual installation and related construction and cosmetic finish out. Then making everything work together and solving special requests, etc. Great result and everything I wanted at seven different locations in and around the house, patio and spa! We love Austin Home Systems! It is hands-down the best place to purchase speakers and audio equipment in Austin. They have a wide selection of quality speakers at different budgets. And they provide an amazing experience to help you choose the right ones for your ears, musical taste, and wallet.Stuart is patient, helpful, and happy to provide advice but also let us listen to form our own opinions. The AHS team recently completed a large Control4 home automation project for our new house that spanned distributed 4k video, CCTV, walking + vehicle gates, smart pool integration, media room, network drops plus whole house interior & exterior audio, televisions and wifi.With a multi week effort of this size, things can easily slip or get missed. However, everything turned out great and the final product truly exceeded our expectations with exceptional service throughout the process.Don’t hesitate to give these folks a call!

I have had two separate systems put in my homes. I used a Austin Home Systems at my home in Austin and they put in a Control4 system. It took a few service calls to work out the kinks but Randal, Joe, John and team stayed after it until all issues were resolved. I put in a Savant system in my Dallas home and it was a night and day difference. Austin Home Systems have great techs and customer support which I learned is key to a successful high end smart home/audio experience. I highly recommend them.

I was thoroughly impressed with the process and expertise of the entire staff involved with Austin Home Systems. The process begins with a full home review of your requirements including all audio, video, lighting, alarm, surveillance, mechanical controls, and home automation. They have their own design department which lays out all your requirements in an easy to read floor plan along with written specifications for each area along with a detailed proposal. During the installation, the entire team is involved and available for any questions you may have. I believe they go above and beyond to make sure the customer is 100% satisfied. I’m very pleased with my system and highly recommend them.

Incredible!! I just purchased a new home and had Austin Home Systems install speakers, TVs electric window shades and more! They did an amazing job- it sounds unbelievable in the house! I waited a while to write this review. The reason I waited was the best test is how a company performs after the sale and installation. We did an extensive 14 month remodel/renovation of our home. Our builder (RBuilder) recommended we contact Austin Home Systems and it turned out a great choice. Our system consisted of home automation, security and security camera systems. We understood that any system this complex there will always be initial issues that come up. Randall and his team have and continue to be responsive and getting the bugs worked out. We approached Austin Home Systems to take over our in-house AV system from a previous local provider - and we are really pleased we made the move. AHS were excellent in understanding our needs vs our prior company, and executed the upgrade plan with minimal delay. They have also been very responsive in addressing a few minor hiccups to get everything working as expected. Overall, highly recommended.

These guys did a great job on my TV installs. One being over a newly finished tile wall with a very large TV and looks fantastic.The initial TV I bought online and when Austin Home Systems opened it they found it was damaged so were not able to install. I asked if I could buy a replacement from them and how quick they could have it and be back out to put it up. They secured the new TV and installed the next morning. That was really great service and I appreciated they could do such a quick turn around!

I cant say enough great things about the people at Austin Home Systems. To start, John is extremely easy to work with and listened to all concerns and ideas we had in building our home theater. He was quick to respond to texts, emails and phone calls with any questions and concerns we had. We had Kris then one of the owners, Randal come out to the home to do a walk through and discuss the house, project and thoughts on what our end goal was. They were great at giving us a full picture of what we were going to have built. They promised an amazing set up and system and to say we got that is an understatement.The techs Kris, Chris and Julian came to the home to do the install and setup. So professional and great to have at the home. By the time they were done it was like having old friends over to the home.Now, the most important part. The end result. There is absolutely no reason to ever go out to a movie again as the quality would not be the same as our home theatre. From the Martin Logan and Tru Audio speakers to the Sony True 4K projector and 145 inch screen all managed by Control4, it all came together perfectly. We also had them tie in the room lights and home thermostats both upstairs and down. We are having them back out in a few weeks to add security to the home.In total, this experience has been a welcome change to how many people do business. They are true professionals and overall just great people who want the customers vision to be all and more than they could dream of. We will continue to use AHS for future projects and look forward to a great relationship and friendship with all the people there. A HUGE thanks to everyone involved with our dream home theatre.

Used AHS to install custom motorized blinds. Despite windows being difficult to reach and power source not readily available, we found a great, cost-effective solution. Blind look great and operate quietly. Very satisfied!

Absolutely phenomenal experience - even more so coming from my previous Control 4 dealer. They gave me a very accurate estimate for both, the time it would take and the cost of doing a takeover. The guys who came in to do the takeover were also very knowledgeable and very thorough - was extremely impressed with the fact that they took care to make sure wires were neat even behind TVs where they could not be seen. Plan to go with them when we start building our next home (so I will not need a takeover :-))

Recently purchased a home with an existing system designed by Austin Home Systems. Their design was only a few years old, but with anything tech related, there were certain components that could benefit from upgrades. The consult was very informing and they didnt try to upsell me on anything that wasnt absolutely necessary. They gave me options covering from just educating me on the existing system and using it, to upgrading it to the latest equipment. Security is a big priority for my family, so I decided to upgrade some components. They also referred us to a security company that we used for monitoring our alarm system. Full system integration for security and home entertainment. After confirming what we would be upgrading they scheduled install. The installation team showed up on schedule and was very polite and courteous as well as extremely knowledgable. Even after the install the team followed up with me to make sure the system was running as it should. I would recommend Austin Home Systems to anyone in their service area and we will be using them as long as possible for all our home system needs.

Love Austin Home Systems! 5 years ago, Austin Home Systems helped me transform my basement into a media room. Enjoyed every moment watching video and tv on our Apple TV. Just had them update the system. Randal was awesome. Made sure I didnt pay for anything I didnt need. Suggestion of a Samsung 65 Flat 4K Smart TV was brilliant. Stunning! Cant hurry this process. To install the Control 4 (which I LOVE) took an entire day. Plus Kris had to come out to tweak it a few days later. I know if there are future issues Austin Home System is there for me! Ive been here a few times over the past ten years, and have purchased a couple of integrated amps and speakers from them. The guys are knowledgeable, helpful, and Ive never felt pressured to purchase anything I dont want/need. Granted, allowing me to take an item home and try it out is a fantastic sales tactic.

I bought my speakers and TV from Austin Home Systems. First, they were competitive with the big box stores. A custom experience with professional installers doesnt have to cost more (that was a bit of a surprise to me). Second, Jason, Stuart and team were very helpful in working with us to select speakers and a TV. I actually brought my integrated amp from home to the AHS showroom and they connected different speakers to it so I could hear what the speakers sounded like on my equipment. When they set up my speakers, the speaker wire was just a tad short based on where I wanted to position the speakers in the room. Instead of sending me the new wire, they delivered it and reconnected my speakers for me (no charge). After reconnecting my speakers, Kris, one of the installers, adjusted our TV mount and reconfigured our Ethernet port so I could connect my streamer direct to the network. Neither of those was part of the original service call yet he did both w/o hesitation and with a can-do attitude. Highly recommend AHS.

Stay away, absolute worst customer service you can find in Austin. Shoddy installation and if you need assistance with your system you will be ignored. Simple fixes to your control4 systems will be ignored and blown off. They make a lot of promises about what their systems will do when they sell you and do not care when they do not work as advertised. Lots of good audio dealers in Austin I highly suggest going elsewhere.

I had my house equipped with surround sound audio on the main floor and outdoor living area. Additionally, we had Apple TV/Internet installed. Lucas and Josh were fantastic from start to finish. They are true professionals and helped me out on a Sunday night, as I was texting Josh to understand a few questions I had on the system. They followed up by sending John out to the house twice to help me with orientation of my new equipment. He was great and took the extra mile of syncing all devices up with iTunes. They are well worth ever penny invested........

Randall, John, Mike and AHS team did an awesome job with my entire smart home system and blinds. The quality of work exceeded expectations and they worked thru all the issues. The system took a few attempts to work out the small issues but John and team stayed after it until it was 110% solid. I would waste any time with other vendors, AHS is the way to go!

Amazing experience with AHS!

Had a great experience with Austin Home Systems from start to finish.Gabe and John came over to our home and listened to what we wanted, took detailed notes of what we had, and then they put together a detailed proposal incorporating existing and new system components that would accomplish the the project at hand.... to upgrade our 2010 system (control of media room, 4 TVs, throught home sound system, upgraded wifi, and lights). They made great suggestions and didnt try to push us for stuff we didnt want.Then Jasons installation team did a very professional job. The team was able to work through a couple extra problems that popped up with ease. Mike, the onsite hardware lead, did an amazing wiring job in our media rack. Its actually a pleasure to look at and in itself a piece of artwork...particularly when compared to what the previous owner had installed with a different company. Now we can control and view various media (apple TVs, android, blu-ray) components to any of our TVs, or listen to music in any room with either our iphones or the c4 remotes, and get wifi from anywhere on our propery (inside or out with full strength).After installation, theres only been a couple of minor glitches, but their support service was able to take care of it within a reasonable amount of time, and things are running really nice now....the house feels like a new smart home again! If we add additional upgrades or if any friends want a similar system, we wouldnt hesitate to use or recommend AHS again!

Very knowledge staff coupled with great sound systems

Jason and his team were/are great. They listened to what I wanted, made excellent recommendations, and installed an intuitive, easy to operate whole house system that manages all my devices, through either a wall tablet or, more conveniently, though my iphone or ipad. I can choose to view Apple TV, DVDs, Local TV (I do not have cable but it was an option), or my computer screen, in either of my 2 locations. I can also listen to my own itunes music, Pandora, Spotify, Sirius or the radio, in any of the rooms that I had flat, unobtrusive, quality speakers installed. I can easily turn music or video off and on in different rooms at the touch of a few buttons.Jason has been very responsive to issues that have arisen (due to changes at my end) and John has resolved all of them in a timely and friendly manner. I highly recommend Austin Home Systems for their knowledge, expertise, responsiveness, quality materials and products, and fair pricing. It has been a pleasure working with them and I would definitely use them again.
