After some initial lack of responsiveness due to voicemail issues, the owner has been very helpful and followed up with me at home as I had some technical difficulties which still remain to be resolved. But he send me an email link to my files and when I picked up my product he gave me a nice discount.

Pro-Tape converted several 8mm tapes to dvds several years ago. They are currently converting the rest of my 8mm tapes. Love their work. The dvds include sound.

I had a 3/4 inch Sony KCS 10 U-Matic video cassette made by a graduate film student at the University of Texas about 1980. Few places could change it to a DVD, but Matt was able to do it with no problem, and even though he had to complete an additional process to produce the copy for me, he did not charge an additional fee. The video cassette to DVD was transferred beautifully. It took a bit longer than I expected to get it done, but it was well worth the wait. This company even respected the social-distancing requirements of our current times. Thank-you for preserving this memory for me!

This place is wonderful! It took a bit longer than I expected to get my 8mm tapes converted to CD, but the results were great. Very affordable as well. Now I can show my children just how cool I was when I was younger ; )

Could not be happier! George copied a 40 year old LP that my late father made onto CD + copies, added magic, and made it sound better than the original. Matt reproduced the original album cover to fit the CD. It is beautiful! Thank you!

I had some old tapes and vinyl that were not in the best of shape. These guys did a nice job of repair and cleanup. The tapes were not playable and they got them converted to digital and the audio sounded better after George did some cleanup work. Highly recommend them!

Can you transfer your VHS at home? Do you even know how, you mewling spawn? You do not. YOU CANNOT. Protape people can. They will take your tapes AND MELD THEM WITH THE DIGITAL REALM. Bits and bytes flow through the uncomplicated consciousness of your Tapes minds as they are rendered OBSOLETE and consumed by the transference to a new physical DVD form, OR BY GOD A PURELY DIGITAL SPIRIT EXISTING ONLY UPON YOUR HARD DRIVES OR FLYING IN THE CLOUD.Weep.Weep with joy, you mortal scum.Weep, for you shall never attain the grace of rebirth bestowed upon you old tapes and cassettes; A joy meted out by a benevolent diety known only as, PRO-TAPE.For but a reasonable amount of piddling human money, your memories may be allowed to then live on forever...... and joyous will be be your progenys voices.Do it.I COMMAND THEE TO DO IT NOW.

I interviewed a very popular writer 40 years ago, over the phone, using a cheap cassette recorder. My low-tech recording equipment left the writers voice almost unintelligible. Audio man, George, worked the 40 year old cassette and rendered it a very important & rare piece of memorabilia. Why am I limited to 5 stars?
