I was driving down Hampden Ave and saw the Big POWERHOUSE GYM sign so I decided to stop in for a workout. I was greeted by a friendly staff who was extremely helpful with all my questions. The gym and locker rooms were very clean and organized. I will definitely be signing up for a membership.

I stopped in for a lift while on vacation from Idaho. This place is phenomenal! The staff is incredibly kind and sweet, the members there are no nonsense and there achieving their goals! The gym was spotless, weights racked, all equipment clean and in killer shape! Top of the line equipment and a dense selection! If youre in the area, please stop in and check this place out!!!

I have not actually worked out here, but their sign cracks me up. It says 24/7. I looked on the website and it says they are open 24/7 Monday-Friday. Lol! I wonder what they think the 7 stands for?!!? 😜Edit: Thanks for responding! You might want to change your website to reflect that. I just arrived to the location, the owner is super friendly and good guy. I made a membership for one month only but I loved it so I I’ll renew my membership. It is the best place if you want to workout really good.

Been to many many Gyms in my life. Powerhouse I by far one of the best. Most of the guys in there are huge and dont mess around. I love that there are not alot of kids on phones. Powerhouse has something for everyone, but it caters towards us big guys.

So at the time of this posting my wife and I are fairly new to Powerhouse (maybe a month give or take) and unfortunately were not going to be here too much longer than a year (if that) anyhow. That has absolutely nothing to do with the Powerhouse gym though. Were both simply landlords (among other things) and have several properties in and around Colorado/overseas. We just came to the Aurora area to temporarily move into one of our rentals and oversee/implement quite a bit of work and updates that were needed there, along with a few minor repairs with another one across the street, while also putting together a pretty big house build from scratch out on 50 acres we have about an hour away. So thats about to break ground in the next month and when it becomes turnkey is when well have to be on our way.Anyhow, I had explained all of this to them up front when coming in to inquire and sign up, and if there is a penalty fee for us breaking our contract when we have to go.....were fine with that, but obviously hope the cancellation goes smooth no different than anywhere else. As for the gym itself......well, Ive been to a lot of differing ones around the country/world, and I am quite enjoying my time here. For the most part I keep to myself and do my own thing, yet everyone seems very friendly. Of course there is some occasional grunting here or there or not at all (myself included) the same as you would find at practically all the other gyms but its not obnoxious in the least and just has to do with someone pushing themselves on the last 1, 2, or 3 reps. I am amazed at how well the place is maintained and kept clean as well. Immaculate. As some others have mentioned in the reviews here, I to have noticed people put their weights back also and wipe equipment after use. Appreciated. Pretty much has everything I need for chest, back, legs, arms, or cardio the same if not better as I would find at some of the bigger box gyms. Oh, and the view out the windows while working out.....cant beat that. Not that I have used it because I dont go late either, but they are also 24/7 access. No matter the gym, I do look for that up front over others and just prefer having the option if I ever wanted it. Yes, the gym is smaller, and I am finding that I prefer that to. I have never found it too crowded and even at the bigger gyms wherever.....you might have to wait a minute while finding something else to work out on in the meantime. No biggie. If anything, everyone starts from somewhere at the end of the day and yeah.....I would like to see them grow, maybe purchase one of the neighboring businesses if they can, but like anything else it all takes time. I wouldnt want them to grow too much however as a single unit besides possibly as a franchise or being in different locations. That kind of growth. I like the smaller feel. All in all, if I was staying in the area I would gladly remain a member, support local, and dont mind paying a little extra for it. If anything.....hopefully Ill see you all eventually around the smaller town. In the meantime, thank you. 5 stars all around.

This place has been so awesome. Cant believe that there is a gym with no hidden fees. They said $150 for 3 months and my card was charged $150. No startup fees, no gym maintenance fees very straightforward. Gym is super nice as well, staff is great couldnt ask for more.

Great gym in Aurora! A friendly atmosphere and quality fitness machines make this gym my go-to-place for training. When I came at the first time, I took a personal trainer and he helped me to achieve my fitness goals much faster. The ventilation system works very well. I absolutely love this place!

Staff was super helpful in introducing me to the location of machines and dumbbells. Very clean and not clustered. Would recommend this gym to anyone and everyone.

Staff at this gym advises members that they can wear their mask only on their chin if they prefer. I would not go here if you care about avoiding Covid 19.

By far the best gym I have ever been a part of. Plenty of machines for everything, down to earth staff and always super clean. No nonsense members everyone is there minding their own business and focused and making themselves better. If your looking for a gym look no further!

Good attention to mask and cleaning details, so far. There are some who come in and immediately take off their masks to work out, and one guy today just didnt even bother to pretend to wear one, but overall, still a great place for a workout. They have apparently decided to not continue using small cloth towels and spray for members to clean machines and weights after use, and instead are using paper towels. Must be an expense thing. Id like that to be different, but I get that were all poorer these days. Nice folks, as always, and just happy to be able to get back to the gym.

Best gym in the area I have been to. It is not a very large gym, but they have every machine one could want. Very clean inside, staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They take care of their customers.

Excellent, clean(even before the pandemic) gym with an awesome atmosphere. Numerous options of leverage lifting equipment, free weights and the latest machines as well as huge variety of grip attachments for cable machines. Staff is friendly and genuinely care about maintaining a clean, functioning facility(machines are not always out of order like some other gyms). If you are looking for a gym whose members are focused on getting their work in without any distractions, this is the place for you!

Powerhouse is the cleanest gym I’ve ever been to and all it’s equipment is always working properly, not broken. Also the vibe of the gym is not like most gyms. All the people/athletes training at powerhouse are training hard, which gives a motivating vibe.

I love this gym!! Powerhouse fitness (Aurora) is the best gym Ive ever been to. It has 24hr access, tanning, very clean, friendly environment, great equipment (yes, the gym maybe small but it has everything you need to achieve your fitness goals.. whatever they maybe) and absolutely great trainers! Lastly, Matthew (one of the owners) is AMAZING the nicest guys youll ever meet and extremely knowledgeable, So if you have any questions dont hesitate to ask him. Definitely by far the best gym around!!

This gym is great. Never crowded when I come (so it could be at other times). The staff is friendly and those working out are respectful of one another. For those not used to weight lifters-there is the fair bit of grunting going on. As a friend said that just means they are pushing themselves, and it encourages others to push themselves also.

Love the gym, love the staff. Do NOT love that theyve been ignoring phone calls and emails since before the virus. We should not be charged when we cant use the facilities. Im ready to start a law suit. This is unacceptable

I have been going to this location now for 5 years and I love it! The new ownership that took over really has the membership in mind and they work everyday to make the gym stand out from the rest. They have everything I need and more! They just brought in new bars for the cable machines that are amazing, and they have new accessories on the way that I cant wait to try out!

Slightly cramped, but amazing overall. Less crowded than other gyms, people actually put their weights away, everything is clean, and management is very understanding and works with you on the payments if you have issues and cant go to the gym for a while.This is the gym to go to if you dont care about useless features and just want to lift or do cardio.

When I spoke with Jeff on March 18, 2019 at the Thornton location, I offered to pay my last bill but he waived it for me due to bad customer service. I confirmed 2 times with 2 different managers that they are waving my last fee. I even asked Jeff if they will send me to collections and he assured me they would not. Jeff offered 30 days free but I declined. I have the receipt from when I spoke with him so why am I getting a collection notice in the mail 4 months later? I never had a problem when I worked out at the Aurora location with Brad. Can someone help?

This place is literally my second home. I like everyone that works there and how they manage to keep everything clean for everyone. Also how can you beat a gym that’s 24/7?

Definitely geared towards bodybuilding, they have a wide variety of machines and plenty of weights, clean equipment and friendly staff, it’s a tight fit with all that equipment but it’s like a candy store to me, the atmosphere motivates me to do more.

Speaking only for myself, this place has everything I need. Maybe its because Im not an advanced lifter; call it what you will. But when I started coming here back in 2013 I was a weak 135 pounds, and now Im up to a more respectable 165 pounds, and I feel great. At first it felt like a step back because this gym could literally fit in the basketball court of my previous gym, but like I said, it has everything I need and it has grown on me.

Read your contract carefully, signed up for a year, moved out of the area before the year ended, I expected the contract that was for a year to end after a year. But they automatically started my year membership again. I didn’t notice the first month I was still be charged, after seeing the 2nd month’s charge I called to cancel, and was then charged for a 3rd month. So 120$ wasted for expecting a contract to be honored.

Love this gym! Been a member since around July. Staff is always pleasant and friendly and the equipment is all new and ready to use. The place is NEVER messy and the bathrooms are always clean. The pricing is great and the deals you get when you first join are super nice as well.

Ive been a member here since it was Armbrust. Great gym, love the 24 hour access. Not a huge amount of space, but I dont need that much. Minimal douches and peacocks, there are rules here and people follow them. Im usually here around 5 am, where there is usually 5-10 people there. Saturday/Sunday mornings isnt too crowded. Everything is nice and clean including the bathrooms. Owner was super nice when I met him.

I think Ive been seeing Phil Heath working out there recently. Or some huge dude that looks just like him. Cool gym, its cozy but I like it.

Always clean, equipment always functioning if its down its back up quickly. I love the environment it is motivating!

I have worked out in a lot of gyms as a US Marine but this is by far one of the best gyms for the fitness enthusiast.

Great gym, the staff was always friendly when I went in the daytime and in general its just a very inviting atmosphere, always clean, great equipment and never had any issues with billing even when I had to cancel the membership because I moved out of state, it is a bit cramped but theres enough room to get a great workout in so it was never an issue for me and they started offering inexpensive workshops to teach proper form shortly before I left which I wouldve loved to attend and thought that was a great idea! Overall I give it 5 stars!

After recently relocating to Aurora I was looking for something different than the big box gyms. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate the convenience of the multiple locations however it’s like Wal-Mart…just because there is one on every corner doesn’t mean it’s worth going in.After joining Powerhouse based on a referral I was pleased to see how clean and well-kept the equipment is. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful but not in a creepy, “Do you want me to palpate your glutes?” kind of way.The membership prices are extremely reasonable and comparable to the big guys…and you get fewer gym rats who seem to never leave and always on the one machine you really want. So far everyone there has been super normal!The location is convenient with lots of parking and is right next to a brewery! I’m told that stopping there right after I work out “negates” everything I just worked on…debatable.My only complaint is that they don’t fold their towels in cute animal shapes like hanging monkeys. I’ve been told by management they are working on this.Overall, I am extremely happy with switching to Powerhouse and would highly recommend joining!

Such a hidden gem! I visited to try to find a closer gym to my place and signed up the same day. Super clean, everything is well taken care of, never too busy, and a great overall atmosphere!

This gym has everything a weight lifter needs besides a designated deadlift area. Theres a small room for some stretching or trx. The change rooms are clean. If you want to tan its available but considering how packed in the gym itself is, i think its wasted space. Really thats the main issue with this place is trying to get around equipment and people just to work out. There are just too many machines. Staff and owners are friendly though and unless you go right after work, its not normally too busy.

I would recommend this gym to anybody. The equipment/workout areas are clean along with up to date equipment that you probably wont find in many other gyms. I give 3 stars simply because I have 2 kids & was led to believe that child care was an option which is a false claim at this location. Also, the equipment is a gift & a curse because its a lot of equipment but its all so close in proximity to everything. Not a lot of room to move around in there....ohh & I didnt expect them have only 1 flat bench press annnnd 1 incline bench press..odd for somewhere that prides themselves on training competitive body builders.

My biggest complaint is the space, they have a lot of equipment packed into a very small area. There are some areas where walking between machine when people are there can be difficult. The counter area looks to be taking up a third of the gym space, its quite a waste of area. The cardio machines are literally edge to edge touching. If they got rid of the counter area or shrunk it way down they would be able to build a decent stretching / body weight workout room.The stretching room has a spin bike and ab machine in it along with some kettle bells stacked on top of the plyometric stands. The trx bands are hanging off of a plastic rod and slide all over on it. Im pretty sure the plastic holding the bands would break if someone actually used them. Max in the room is really two, and if some one decides to use the bike or the ab machine they will have to step over anyone else in the room. I fit head to toe across the room (Im 6 tall) with just a little space on either end. There is a lot of window facing the room so people can really creep as well. Fortunately (or unfortunately) no one is really gonna creep on me.My wife and I were forced to have separate accounts because they have had problems with people splitting up etc... so rather than handle their problems they make them the responsibility of all the other members. Their third party biller is ridiculous. We paid our dues in full in advance and had our membership locked out when our account was not connected to a credit card (Thats a great experience at 4 am). This took almost two months to resolve because we had a balance of 5 dollars because they could not auto-bill us zero dollars.That was a lot of complaining, unfortunately in the gym world its a bunch of trade offs. This place is very clean, the staff is very friendly, the equipment always works, and you have 24 hour access. Thats a A+ compared to most other gyms around us. I do wish they would make more space or get rid of some equipment, there is literally no where to do simple stretching or pushups. I will probably renew due to lack of a better choice.

Having a heck of a time to get them to stop billing me. Tried to quit a year ago, sent their collection arm a fax they say they never got and have been billing me ever since. They have a record of my phone conversation expressing that I want to stop. I got the to stop hitting my credit card and now they are sending me a bill for another month with a 5 buck fee because its not an EFT. Talked to the gym and the collection arm of the company. They just tell you have a nice day.
