Clean gym but no visible enforcement of mask policy. Lots of burly and toned folks (medically exempt from masking...yeah right) without masks. The 1 staff member cant leave the front desk so no enforcement. The immunocompromised and elderly deserve to be safe. What can LA Fitness do to protect members? I suggest free masks at the front desk and increased signage.

I really appreciate the friendly staff and how amazingly clean this gym is. We had to go to the Covington location due to power outage and it definitely didn’t match up to the Auburn location. Husband went to West Seattle and said that it was also pretty dirty. Some of the other gyms, when you get off the machine, your clothes are covered in dirt and dust. Not here! My family loves LA Fitness in Auburn.

I love this place great. I have one problem I called 2 days ago on some charges to my debit card. No one has called me back. Its gonna stay a 2 star until resolved watch debit card for extra charges I had 3 without notice

I used to like LA fitness until I tried to cancel my membership. They kept providing excuses to not cancel it. So I contacted my credit card company and put a restriction on them. Such a pain!

The staff is incredibly friendly to me and the manager is done to earth.

My husband bought a two month membership and it ended up that they without any notice got me the annual free, charge me monthly. Even though I never go there. What if my husband paid with cash? How will they get those monthly fees? So I recommend don’t give them you card information. Bring cash. I hope I help somebody. It’s fishy there.

LA fitness in Auburn is a nice gym,the people are friendly and there are plenty of universal machines, free weights, complete selection of cardio equipment, and an Olympic pool for swimming laps, also they have Zumba and boot camp training classes, spin classes and much more.

Overall, nice gym. Found a big hole in the ceiling by the women toilet area. I reported it to the front desk on 1/18/2020 and its still left unrepaired and uncovered.

First time visiting. Great spot to exercise and workout.

I walked in not knowing what I was getting into and I was impressed from the beginning! Its very clean and the staff is nice. Lots of classes offered too. Would definitely recommend this place.

The gym is not only pretty gross, but they purposely make it as inconvenient as possible to cancel your membership. You have to print out a form and then mail it to California in 2021. Antiquated, it’s a shame 24 hour fitness closed as it was objectively a better gym. I not only will never use LA fitness again but will actively discourage people I know from using it as well.

Ive been going to this gym since the first day it opened. Its always clean(er) than any other gym Ive been a member of. The equipment is clean and well-maintained and there are a lot of different apparatus to use for fitness. They have a separate room for trainers to coach clients, and another big room for group classes. I have participated in the group fitness classes and they are good. They also have a spin room and those are always full; sometimes you even need a reservation to do a spin class. I have not done the spin classes because there is no room so I cant speak to the feature.However....I agree; the staff needs to be much more diligent about making people wear masks. They seem completely oblivious to the fact that most people here walk away from the front desk and immediately remove their masks, as if the rules do not apply to them. Being a compromised individual myself, it makes me very, very uncomfortable to go into the workout areas where people are not wearing masks. Some of them dont bother to wipe down machines after using them either. The gym provides plenty of disinfectant bottles and paper towels for cleaning purposes but some (I guess) think they are not part of the rules here.Once the pool opened after the shutdown, thats the only place I went because it was usually empty except for me. I am very disappointed in staff not enforcing rules. If they did enforce the rules, this gym would get 5 stars from me!

The girl at the front desk was very rude.. Does not show very good customer service and did not seem to care about my problems I was having with my membership. Other then that the gym is nice just the customer service is lacking.

First time back since covid started last March. It has been maintained pretty well and everyone was wearing masks. Dont be the guy who gets off a bench without wiping it down though. People are nasty.

Facility is nice but really bad customer service. All the front counter people have been indifferent and some simply rude. The manager was by far the rudest person I spoke to. I had issues putting a hold on my account due to covid and she was super unhelpful. She said she wasn’t the manager when I had my issue so took no responsibility and even told me she would not tell me her name. I called the corporate office and they were super helpful and handled all my issues with kindness (which the Auburn manager said they would not be able to help at all).

Could be a little cleaner. Customers dont clean up afterwards very well.

Be careful at this location - There’s people there that come only to steal stuff, in particular there’s a 20 year old looking kid that walks around wearing a black hoodie and a mask not really working out just watching everybody hanging out in the locker room etc …. It’s in a sketchy area so makes sense ….

Rude manager. Lied to me and said it was in my contract that I had to pay with these knew restrictions I needed help making a reservation she was NOT willing to help me at all. I called an spoke with an La fatness rep an confirmed theres no such thing in my contract! Confirming she LIED!BUT! her coworker a nice younger black fellow, I didnt catch his name, went out of his way to help me an show me how to make reservations. Hes the manager material they need.I know this isnt there fault its our wonderful dictator in office plus la fatness headquarters who implemented this app.Other gyms are not operating this way fyi😉.

Worst la fitness in Seattle to be honest. I made reservations for 11 am and I only been working out 45 minutes and the guy came and asked me to leave, because he said my time was up 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡. I recommend everyone not to visit this place.

Do not join this gym!!! Went to cancel my membership and was told they were adding on two extra months due to COVID. The front desk person was horrible, condescending, and unprofessional. It is a very shady thing to do and then to make me call their corporate office to cancel. I dont like shady business. I dont like sneaky dues. I would not recommend this gym. They make it so hard to cancel when you want to be done. The corporate office did finally cancel it but with sweat and tears. Not worth it.

Great equipment and staff. I don’t normally write reviews, but with all the Karen reviews I thought I’d try and help balance it out.There is contactless check in, with temp checks, they have personal cleaning spray bottles ready (sanitized) for every person who comes in. The vast majority of people are masked (people will sometimes pull them down at their private station to catch their breath). Honestly, this gym is in a constant state of cleaning; by users, and staff. The majority of users keep distance and are really respectful to each other.As for gym cancellations I’d say let’s give people (not just this gym) a little grace. If you like this gym and they have to close (through no fault of their own-0 instances of outbreaks here) let’s keep paying our gym memberships to make sure they are here when the lockdown lifts. At the end of the day it’s people who work here and people who use this gym that will suffer, there are no alternatives to this gym In town.

I have very bad experience with the manager personal training Andre very disrespect and raises it’s funny you can’t talk with his boss because he is the manager and can fire any one, I don’t recommend any one to come here

Not covid cancel friendly. They want to charge for a full month after being open for less than a week if you want to cancel your membership. In addition, you actually still have to go into the gym during this covid crisis to cancel. Gross business ethic. It’s their “company policy” to charge you even if you don’t feel comfortable going into the gym during the pandemic.

Wish the locker rooms would re-open. Gym is not to full so thats nice.

Not a bad location, and the newest in the region. Seems large at first, and then you realize it isnt. Largest personal training area of all in the region, and in its own separate room. Equipment is newer, and just like all the locations, it gets packed around 4:30 through 8pm. Nothing super special besides its newness.

Hard workout and very nice staff! They made me feel welcome and I was so sore the next day. Thankfully, I have class pass so I’ll be back for sure.

Never use there training the gym was closed all of December I was extended another month when I signed a contract for a year. I suggest u never use them for this especially when there’s gyms that charge less money

This place is newly renovated. It’s just been one year it’s been renovated. It looks really premium. The swimming pool is super clean and the pool water is salted which is better than tasting chlorine.The lockers is also new and clean. There’s no jacuzzi or sauna here so for those who are looking for that, you can go to the federal way La fitness. This place has a basketball court, a dance room and all the other machines for the workout. These machines look brand new.The inside decor is very modern. It has a nice seating area for people who wants to wait and the round big lights are very cool looking.One thing I would like is to have a water dispenser inside the locker room, a sauna and a jacuzzi and this club would beat other clubs for a few years until a lot of people make it dirty.

Club is decent enough, but the deceptive business practices are enough to make me never want to ever again do this ever. They refuse to offer easy self service ways to cancel and force you into talking to only a manager who is there when I am at work. Otherwise they refuse to cancel.

I love how clean the restrooms are and the gym area is swimming pool is add-on. The only thing I miss is the spa overall great experience I go there almost every day

I wish I could put a 5 Star but they dont have sauna unfortunately, those huge fans on the ceiling dont let you burn those calories out. They change the person who use to babysit and now my daughter does not enjoy going to gym with us.. I feel disappointed cuz I know accidents happen but if your job is to babysit kids you have to watch them play safe.

The Auburn LA fitness has terrible professionalism! The general manager Mike cannot be counted which is why it is reflected in his personal training director Marques. I unfroze my account and was offered 1 free training session to get back into shape. I received a text the day of my appointment 2 hours before I was scheduled saying to come in 1 later. I respectfully agreed in my reply. Marques immediately responded saying he had to cancel for a second time and that we needed to reschedule for another day. I drove to LA after work and talked with Mike who told me he would talk with Marques to see what’s going on and to call him. When I called in Marques picked up the phone and told me he had made a mistake and that he was sorry but Mike was no where to be found. So I went to work out as planned and Lo and behold, Marques was there working out by himself during our rescheduled training session. I confronted him asking him if I could possibly join his work out and declined. Mike didn’t talk with his training director for me and Marques had no prior engagement. They both lied to me! I will remain a member but will not show my face at the Auburn location unless it conveniences me.-Vinh Tran

Rude front desk

The equipment and atmosphere are great, but cleanliness is definitely an issue. The equipment doesnt get wiped down very often and the tiled part of the floor is filthy from ground in dirt. A treadmill I was on looked like it had been sitting outside and still looked that way more than a week later.

They keep it clean.

Joined this gym a few months ago and I love it!!!! Was a member at another gym for years and can’t believe it took me so long to switch.Clean facility, friendly, knowledgeable staff.

I like the larger selection of equipment than their previous local site, however, the private womens area there helped make the space less intimidatingly large. Pool is spacious.

Overall a good facility but to repeatedly go to this location at 5am and them not being open on time is frustrating. One morning 40 plus people were standing outside until 7:30am waiting for late staff to arrive, this is unacceptable. We also tried to call other locations to figure out what is going on and all they tell us is theres nothing they can do about it. Horrible customer service.

Its great, the sauna is hot to sweat clean the pores and liver, the bathroom isnt the cleanest because theres so many people here.Theres no healthy smoothie shop like the South federal way la fitness.

Love the location, very nice everything. But theres no sauna and the biggest complaint I have is that the free weight area looks like it hadnt been swept,vacuumed or mopped since the facility open ed d a few months ago. Im afraid to let anything touch the floor for fear of a dirt/dust coating.

I agree with some of the comments about this LA Fitness is cleaner than the others. Most of the employees are reliable. I give some credit to the manager who tries to do his best to keep this place from falling apart.I have been to the one in Redondo and that place was very unclean and machines were unkept and some were broken. The pool is hit or miss. I sometimes see some band-aids, yes, band-aids in the pool and other mysterious remnants in the water. The water level is sometimes low that you could almost hit the ground while you’re swimming. I have been to Planet Fitness and absolutely loved the experience there! ( wish they had a pool) They’re employees are always moving around dusting and cleaning the machines/treadmills. Sometimes, you would be lucky to actually have a paper towel to dry off your hands at LA fitness. I have witnessed one guy while I was washing my hand in the restroom who was cursing his lungs out because there was no toilet paper in one of the stalls! (So sorry dude).To say the least, it’s always a good day at LA fitness when you don’t use your shirt to dry off your hands ( for those people who actually wash their hands after using the 🚽 ) and you get out of the pool without a band -aid on your face!

This gym is very dirty. The management has been talked to about this on going issue for months and no improvement. I recently brought to the management attention that there was a homeless woman in the locker room using all the sinks to wash her clothes. And using paper towels to wrap them up. All this mess was spread all over the benches in the woman’s locker room. The management didn’t see anything wrong. The woman was displaying some very strange behaviors that display a red flag. But, the management doesn’t care. This club was good when it openedNow things have changed.

This is my main gym. It recently opened so the equipment is new and well maintained. Always seems to be plenty of staff available, good customer interaction, locker rooms are clean.

Ill never go back after visiting 24. LA denied me access with my service dog, asking for proof that she is a service dog. I go everywhere with my animal with no issues. And had been visiting the gym for months with no issue. But now I must bring in proof? There are no legal federal or state service animal registries, everything you see online is fake. Also, LA blocks off all the cool equipment here in a Fitness Trainer only room. 24 has everything open. Plus theyre open 24 hours, unlike LA that closes. 24 also doesnt care if you are a #vanlife. LA will tow you, or the company that owns the building will...

Sometimes the gym equipment needs a Good cleaning. Sometimes the free weights are disorganized. Sometimes theres no clips to hold down the free weights. You have to wear a sweater to break a sweat.

Probably going to cancel because of Hannah at the front desk. Discussed issue with management, and it wasn’t resolved. Poor customer service and such a bad vibe-really disappointed. I was the first member during pre-sales, and was really excited for them to open, and now I don’t want to return. They kept calling me and my friend several times after the free week trial, even thought we were already signed up as new members/paying for a membership.The good thing is that the facility is newer, so it’s very nice.The part time staff members are friendly but the sales people are pushy and rude. You can tell that they hate their jobs.

I dont like the balloon payment they have thats once a year. Rather just know up front with a little higher monthly payment

Everything looks fresh and shiny. The only thing I hate about this fitness theres no jucuzzi or sauna. After pool i had to go to shower to warm up my self. Shame on you LA Fitness. I lost interest in this place.

The people are nice enough, but Im a little disappointed that before the facility opened, I was told that a basketball court and sauna would be part of the package. Thats not the case.Suggestion - I would love to see some more classes added to the schedule. At this point its slim pickings.

I do recommend attending their zumba classes but I had a bad experienced with pre-assessment appointment. I know its free, maybe thats why. The first time the person there was late because he is running late with other meeting and the second appointment, they said he is again in meeting! I paid membership, so this kind of customer service is unacceptable. I don’t waste people time, so I’m very particular in this matter.Thank you

Do yourself a favor. Go to the 24hr Fitness down the street. They answer their phones professionally and return calls.Attention LA Fitness management if you are reading this - You have a young lady that was working on Sunday October 28th answering phones and she is horrible at her job. In a world now where everything counts when it comes to making or breaking a business. She helped me decide 24hr Fitness was the right place for me.

Brand new gym with great equipment. Most exercises have 2 machines/benches so you typically wont have to wait if you are doing a circuit. No hot tub, wifi, or sauna. You have to go to Federal Way or Covington for a hot tub.

There’s no sauna or hot tub and it’s also nearly impossible to find a drinking fountain (I didn’t see any and I searched the place). Everything is on ground level, I prefer the other la fitness in auburn or the one in federal way for these reasons.
