Amenities are good but reception staffs need to show more maturity rather than just goofing around.
Great place to work out with lots of good training facilities
A plus facility! Awesome layout!
What could be a better place for maintaining health and enjoyment?
Super crowded and needs more squat racks. Also needs to open up the use of dumbbells.
Gym gym baby! Work out is essential!
Love this place. My favorite thing is that there are a few racketball courts. This place has everything, and some places are more tucked away than others if you prefer it that way. Classes and other services have a low monthly fee. It’s also apparently reasonably priced for non-student memberships!
Good place for workout
Great gym and friendly staff. Awesome prices on personal training!
It is a great gym for most people! It is pricey if you arent a student, but is a great facility. Sometimes the student employees can be rude but they dont receive as much training as they should sure to how much turnover they have, so it is to be expected.
Theres plenty of nice equipment.. if you like going early in the morning or late at night. Otherwise, its packed. Yesterday I could have went and got a gym membership somewhere else in the time it took me to wait on a squat rack. Also, the camaraderie just isnt the same as a small gym. Too many frat guys there to pump up their arms and stare at girls. Also, the hours are always changing. Ive drove down there on three different occasions to find out theyre closed. Not to mention theres no parking from 7am to 5pm during weekdays, and even if you have C zone parking, theres one little lot a few minutes walk away. But hey, save twenty bucks, right? Its free! (except for the fact you pay an $800+ student services fee every semester)
Fantastic experience.
Lots of different equipment! The 1/3 mile track is great, too. All the employees are wonderful. I enjoy it every time I go. Its always very clean. Ive never had any problems here.
Always clean and very helpful staff. The group fitness pass is definitely worth the money. I love all the classes.
One of the best fitness centers Ive ever seen. Tons of equipment all over the gym. Plenty of amenities and sporting activities both inside and out. Staff are helpful and welcoming. Facility is clean and well organized. Home-run on this one.
Good gym. I have been going for the past two years while I have been in Medical school here in Auburn. It is very spacious and clean (too clean?). There is a TON of options for cardio, and the track is nice...even though I have only used it a few times. I usually go early in the morning to get out before 8:00, and I was sometimes 1 of 10-15 people. Gets overly crowded after around 4, and is basically useless if you want to lift weights.Biggest problem? 90% of the people here (typical college students) have TERRIBLE form and try to lift heavy weights. This happens at every gym, one of the big problems at the Rec is that there are a TON of personal trainers helping people out, and I have often seen many of them training people to use bad form. Not sure who they are accredited with...Anyways, great clean gym. Not worth the insanely high price if you arent a student though.
I went to the Auburn Outdoors Department and rented 4 wetsuits. They threw them at me and told me I would be held responsible for any damages. They assumed they were in pristine condition and only looked at them upon return where they decided to charge me for already existing damages. The customer service was non-existent in the fact that the same person checked me in and out, and she said she believed me that I didnt even use the piece of gear I rented, but charged me anyway rather than taking any responsibility. Watch out! CHECK THE EQUIPMENT THOROUGHLY BEFORE RENTING ANYTHING
I go to the Rec daily. It’s so neat and clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
Very spacious, very versatile. Has just about anything you need for a good workout. Great for Auburn students needing a break from hard class work :)
Love working out here. Always clean and losts of machines and weights. I think If you’re a non student you just go online and pay for membership.
Awesome facilities, if you are an Auburn student, then must take an advantage of this fabulous rec center.
One of the nicest recreation centers ever, especially anywhere close. Has the largest indoor walking track in the nation, resort style pool, rock climbing wall, basketball, racquetball, every possible workout equipment, and more.
Best gym I have ever been so far. Good facility. You can find everything you want here.
Always spotless. Very clean facilities
Nice place for exercise. But Little crowded at the peak hours.
Amazing spacious atmosphere to do any workout imaginable. Friendly and helpful Auburn students as employees. Rock climbing, equipment rentals (large and small) indoor sports and track and of course swimming .
This is the best gym I have ever seen. All the facilities are clean and well maintained. The stuff are kind and helpful.
Extremely clean and up to date work out equipment and very friendly staff. There is a reason its usually busy
I love the Auburn University rec center. It is a state-of-the-art place that has tons of activities and machines for Fitness purposes
Probably one if the nicest gyms around.
Its cool. Front door staff and desk staff kinda makes the experience weird when you walk in though.
Greeter is kind of an odd job but overall great variety of work out machines
Great selection of equipment and great upkeep. Big enough to accommodate big crowds of students at high traffic times without feeling too cramped.
I am being honest, it looks so good but it is always close. I called them one week ago, they told me they will open it yesterday. I went there yesterday was closed, and they told we will open it Wed. i am sure it wont be ready on Wed. summur 2017
The rec offers a wide variety of brand new equipment that is cleaned constantly while the facility is open. Everyone here is really friendly and helpful, but it is often crowded and it can be distracting if youre really trying to focus. It is also not friendly to powerlifters as there arent really places to deadlift anymore after they shifted around all the machines. If you want a casual social outing and a workout, this is the place for you. If you want to grind and be focused and avoid crowds, this is not the best place for you.
One of the best places on campus.. awesome staff, well maintained equipments and lots of activities.
This is the most epic gym ever and I can’t believe I haven’t had this my whole life. Yoga classes are amazing and they have a sweet indoor track
Top notch fitness facility. Super clean and well maintained.
The track is perfect for running. It can be crowded at times but if you go in the mornings or early afternoon its fairly empty
Dont even offer Memberships for AU Grads! I helped build the place. Thats very Prejudice.
Great for students and faculty. Clean and well kept facility. Plenty of new equipment.
Awesome place,we can enjoy swimming at just $3 as we are non university student.
Wow just wow. The nicest gym Ive ever been to!
Best gym of any university Ive ever been to
Great equipment and staff. Also a very good place to play basketball.
Top notch Rec center
Nice rec center. good rock wall.
Awesome facility, great staff that is really focused on a clean and positive atmosphere.
Nice place for working out. But it would cost$10 each time if you are not a student in Auburn University or a membership
Beautiful place with everything new you could ever want to use
Best place to workout alot of chicks
The staff here is great and there is a good variety of equipment. War Eagle!
Everyone around seems genuinely helpful. War eagle.
Worth the money. Membership is limited to Auburn students, facility, staff and retirees.
Great selection of machines to use daily.
It was valuable time to work out.
Very neat and organized. Needs deadlifts mats though, those poor tired pads have had enough abuse!
Amazing gym for student, faculty, and staff
Great place for fitness and extracurricular activities.
Great campus gym.
Definitely one of the best collegiate recreation centers in the country.
Excellent fitness gym but I wish they had bumper plates and more squat racks
Perfect place to get shredded.
This is among top 5 rec centers in USA
Wasted a trip out here. You have to be an Auburn student or married to a student. They wont let you inside even if youre alumni.
Great place to work out.
Nice facilities and healthy environment.
Beautiful building, great staff, plenty of equipment
Go before 5 or after 7pm to avoid the rush, if you have C zone parking you can park there at 2:30pm
Good
If it even looks like rain they close, four squat racks, 27,000+ students, 400 treadmills, and poorly laid out.
Great place to get fit
Great equipments and facilities.
Great place
Poorly managed and not very friendly.
Go early and get the on the machines you want to use
Always crowded with the worst types of people
Nicest gym in the wold
Wonderful place
Way too crowded
Simply amazing!
Nice, very nice.
Love this place
Amazing!
