There are bad cable companies and there is this company!!! IF I could give them -100 stars still would not be enough!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT using them, unless you like giving really really REALLY bad customer service, horrible internet then they are for you..
Ive had a knee replacement, and Id rather have that every day rather than have Direcpath internet. Customer service is impossible to contact, even late at night. My apartment complex recently dropped this stupid company for a better provider, and the experience is night & day better. Completely unreliable during the last year working from home, and dont bother calling for help. Youre better off digging in the ground and laying your own fiber. If negative stars were possible to give, Id give the maximum amount.
I currently live in a complex that only allows tenants to use this company as a service provider and ever since I’ve signed my lease 2 years ago I HAVE DESPISED THIS PROVIDER!!! Every 30 days systems are down, no one knows NOTHING, manager is ALWAYS ON THE PHONE WITH SOMEONE ELSE, and their favorite line is “the technician is working on it”. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AS A PROVIDER IF YOU ARE A PERSON WHO ACTUALLY NEEDS YOUR INTERNET!!!! If you find a home where this provider is the only internet option RUN!!!!! 🏃♀️
I have given them my card information and correct address 4 times. They still have the incorrect address (one I have never lived at), and fail to pull my automatic payment every month. Then they add $15 a month late fee, and it then requires about 25 minutes on the phone to pay the bill. Horrible....
If you’re reading this, do not move into a place that this is the only option for internet. The product itself is horrible, customer service is awful, and just look at all the reviews. You have to work from home? Too bad. Want to use Netflix, hulu, etc? Too bad. Trying to play an online game? Too bad. Want wifi for your phone? Too bad. It’s the worst internet on the market and it’s an honest SHAME that I have to give at least 1 star.
Garbage Wi-Fi I set up an appointment to get my Wi-Fi fixed the appointment was two weeks out so I had two weeks with no Wi-Fi. When the time came i confirm the appointment the day before and the next day they never showed up as soon as that happened I canceled mine payment plan with them because if you don’t care about your customers then you don’t deserve my money simple as that. If I could give zero stars I would.
The WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!!! I barely get service and when I do, it kicks off and lags. I know when people are home because the internet freezes and slows down. Never ever ever ever ever use this company for internet or anything.While being given no other option for an ISP from 2016 until 2021, I was forced to endure this provider. Every single night the internet service stopped between the hours of 830pm and 930pm for no reason they could ever give me. When it was working, you had a choice. You could use it for your phone or for the TV or for your tablet but never more than 1 thing at a time. This service is incredibly expensive as pricing for 200Mbps is $60. Fortunately, I moved and am able to enjoy a different ISP with greater speed (400Mbps) for less money ($40/mo). I can actually use my TV, tablet, phone and Google Home and they can all be on the network at the same time! Wonders! AND the internet is on ALL THE TIME running consistently at 400Mbps. WOW! Who knew this was possible?! Apparently everyone that was not forced to use this tacky, slow, rip-off of an ISP. My suggestion, while home hunting, if the complex is using Direcpath, run for the door unless you dont need or care about good reliable internet service. I wish I could leave negative stars for this sham of a ISP.

One star is too generous, worst internet I’ve ever had, if I had any other choice in my area I would have cancelled the first month. I have never gotten my money’s worth out of direcpath. The internet is always out and they never send anyone to fix it. The fact that they are still in business is a mystery. I wish I could get my money back for the entire year because my internet was out at least 16 hours a day every day.

Now for me personally their customer service has always been professional and as helpful as they can possibly be. However, theyre wicked over priced and their internet is absolutely terrible. I pay $90 for whats supposed to be 60 mbs. I barely get 12 mbs. My internet as Im posting this is not working and had been out for over 24 hours. It frequently stops working and the apartment complex I live in has a contract with them so theres no other options. If I had known this before I moved, I wouldnt have chosen this neighborhood simply for this terrible internet service. It is literally that bad. I truly have no clue how theyre still operating as a business. Wifey and I move in a few months and we cant wait to say goodbye to that company.

I am also living on a property in which Direct Path is the internet provider. The only alternative to them is Xfinity (if youre ok paying $110+ for internet). Initially (first couple of months) I had no problems and what they provided served my needs. Then the problems started, wifi signal getting dropped 3-4 times per day. Unplug the modem/router, plug it back in your good for another few hours. 2 service calls, 1 day taken off from work, modem/router exchanged and now I have NO SERVICE and cannot seem to get anyone who cares enough to isolate the problem and get it fixed. Its true, you get what you pay for. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!
I live at a property with this internet provider and i promise you it goes out almost every day for hours at a time. Please stay far away from any property with this provider if you wish to get anything at all done.

They Do not provide detailed invoices. If you are confused by your invoice, it is a guarantee the customer service rep is confused as well smh.. If youre looking to move into an apartmemt and this is the internet provider, RUN.Speeds are atrocious. If were lucky we can get ONE device hooked up to the wifi at a time. The router needs rebooted multiple times a day because it just stops working.Its Tuesday, and we have no service. According to tech support theres no outage in the area. So theyre sending a tech on SATURDAY.If I could have given one star, I would have. This company is a joke.

Waste of money. Internet is very unreliable. I pay for 40 MB/s I only get 10MB/s or less than that consistently. If you already have this provider go ahead and report to the BBB (Better Business Bureau) cause we both know the service is bad.Edit: I have now cancelled service. I am trying to return the modem/WiFi router that I rented. They said they will send a return shipping label to my email within 24-48 hours. Why they can’t send it immediately? I have no clue.. it has now been over a week, and I have called 5 times to get the email confirmation for cancellation of service and to get my shipping label. Even when I ask to talk to a manger/supervisor they give me the run around.. I just want to return their modem so they won’t try and charge me more money. I cancelled service over a week ago and still have no proof on my end because they WONT send it to me. I have never dealt with such an unproductive company before. Every time I call, they give me the run around.
Absolutely disgusting experience. Not only have I’ve waisted 5 phone calls with each call being well over 30 minutes where I’ve set up 5 technician appointments, they no showed each time with no phone call. I’ve also sent 5 emails and no response. Now I’ve been charged for an order, the edge modem, and no one can tell me where it is. When I ask, every representative doesn’t speak great English and say they will have a manager call me and no one does. Look at their reviews. Don’t even think about this company. It is really sad. I’m sure they are going out of business. And I’m a 10 year client because I’m too lazy to switch. But will change companies now. Stay away.

Unfortunately this was the only internet provider for my apartment and it has been nothing but a nightmare, first the internet is so slow Im fairly certain my dial up was faster in 98 and I have their fastest speed plan. Then, their billing process is an absolute joke, I paid my bill then got another bill and will be getting billed again in 1.5 weeks. They even go through a third party company for their billing. This company should be shut down.

My daughters apartment complex uses this company. They are unprofessional, unresponsive and awful. When she moved in, we couldn’t get them to respond and to set up the appointment. They kept telling me, that there was no such address at the complex. I had to go through the apartment complex and have them reach out to the local supervisor, to have her service set up.Now, it has been over a month, she has not received a statement, I have called with continually being cut off and finally teaching someone in El Salvador 😡 who I had to spend two hours on the phone with, to tell me there is NO account for my daughter, after looking by phone number and email addresses, as We don’t have an account number.I stated to him, we should of had a bill generate by this point, and I would like to be able to pay the bill, I’m sorry we can’t find account!So, you are telling me, if her service gets interrupted, and we call, you can’t find her account and we will be charged late fee and disconnect fees and it isn’t OUR fault, as you can’t locate an account for her. He had no response!!!As of right now, trying to call ONE more time and no one answers, or I get disconnected.This is the worst company EVER!!If I could I would have another service for WiFi, but the complex only is contracted by this awful company! DO NIT USE THIS COMPANY, if you don’t have to.
Literally the worse provider i have ever used. The website isnt easy to navigate. Billpay in itself is a joke along with the billing portal i shouldnt have to call to make payments if they are available online and the online invoices are wrong. Customer service is pretty bad too!
I agree with many of these reviews! My complex has a contract with these guys and have even decided to cancel the service to find a new company due to all of the complaints ! My internet is always having issues or outages and as of now that I am working from home I can’t even get anyone on the phone for technical support! It’s been the same recording for the last week. Although the recording states they have “team members working from home”, the message then proceeds to say we “cannot take your call”. This is very inconvenient and unprofessional. I’ve left multiple support ticket emails as it also suggest in the recording and still I’ve gotten no response! If you can steer clear from this company, please do. If not you’ll be disappointed!

So long story, tried to set an appointment to get my service installed, never showed, never called. I rescheduled, they came DIDNT install because they couldn’t get in the apartment although I gave a key release (I work 7am-6pm). Called again to reschedule! They finally come the next day and when I get home from work the password wouldn’t work, here we are day 3 and still no service a tech is supposed to be coming to “fix” the problem. The tech was never scheduled. I’m sure there will be more complications. I’m probably going to end up canceling.Update! The internet sucks, only one device at a time works properly, the only reason I still have it is because of my apartment complex requirements
Decided to get the internet because thy said it was faster than.the 18mbps offered by ATT....get it installed....uhhhhh...not impressed.....and then customer service? Hoo boy....my gf blood pressure would shoot up everytime she had to deal with them....the website would say one price, the customer service rep would say another....when they answered at least....if you can get ANYTHING else, do it....avoid DP like the plague

I beg to differ from most of those who have reviewed. I have received exceptionally good service during my stay at Lake Lanier club. Since the day it was setup till date, I have not been put down in any way. Although there were outages and interruptions in between, I don’t consider them major issues as far their service is considered. The customer service guys are very courteous and polite. I would definitely recommend them to others who are looking for good service providers here.

This is by far the worst internet provider I have ever had. Our internet cuts out more often then it is on, when I call to see why they just it is an emergency shut off but never seem to know what the emergency is. And when it is running we only get half the speed that we should be getting. One of the biggest reasons why I am looking forwarding to moving is so I am not forced to deal with this provider anymore.
If you are forced to use them as a WiFi provider.. run. Trust me, that apartment or home isnt worth it. The customer service and the WiFi service are awful. I havent even gotten a quarter of the mbps I pay for. When I called customer service to report an issue with my WiFi I was told the technician isnt coming out to check because the rest of the apartment complex is not experiencing issues... They gave me no choice but to discontinue my service with them. The 1 star with 300+ reviews tells it all.

I wish I could give them 0 stars but Google does not let me. By far the worst internet company. This company has an incredible fraud scheme. Usually, double monthly bills at any time and if the client is not pending (for example automatic payments), you end up paying more all the time. But, their specialty is when you close the account, they indicate you to send the equipment (modem) through the US postal service but the USPS does not give you a tracking# so after 30 days they start to bill you $150 for that equipment that you have no way to prove that you sent it to their facilities. This happened to me and not only did I have to pay the $150 unfairly but they also affected my credit for that fictitious debt. I hope that the authorities in charge of this type of fraud do something about it ... this company has to get out of circulation now!

This is the worst internet services I’ve ever experienced in life. I have to keep calling them to “reboot” my internet and it’ll start back working and then stop. I don’t understand why my apartment complex even uses them.
If Negative 1 Reviews were possible, theyd have it. They disconnected my service because of lack of payment, which wasnt the case. Admitted fault. After 3 different phone calls in the same day, nothing was resolved. Spent 20 on the call with the first person, thought it was resolved. Called back and nothing was done. Agent said there is no record of the phone call. Called back again, decent guy actually, trying to help, but then says he is going to send a technician AFTER the balance is paid....this is the balance that was confirmed on the first two phone calls wasnt valid in the first place. In my life of law, I dont put my cards on the table, but this is one time in which I will. I am taking them to court, for everyone that has had to deal with their absolute ineptitude. They shouldnt be in business, and if they are, it should be with competent employees, not some guy called Saul that hides behind the phones as a, Supervisor. This company is pathetic, and Ill be sending certified letters to certain people in the local media that I know will make a difference since they dont want to listen to customers.

This company is a complete joke in every sense of the word. They have a grasp on some business in apartment buildings with limited provider options and the services are god awful. Customer service does what they can to pacify you with tech visits. The sad thing is they really try their best but the services are inadequate to say the least. Their infrastructure is clearly a problem and they need to invest in the improvements necessary. Nobody has ever attempted to retain me as a customer which is just a sad way to do business so I will be changing my internet to a satellite provider and cutting the cord. Direcpath is terrible and whenever possible use anyone else.

A terrible company that provides terrible internet to people locked into leases with apartment complexes. Your support calls will go straight to India. They excessively charge for speeds that they can’t even come remotely close to providing even under light loads. The ping/jitter is astronomical. It’s a total scam. Avoid any apartment complex that only offers their service. Thankfully my apartment complex is moving away from them. I hope that all the others do the same.

If it were possible to give zero stars, I would. I was forced to use this provider after the apartment complex that I lived in made a deal with this company for exclusive operating rights. If a company has a contract with an apartment complex that forces all of the residents to use their services, then why should a company care about the quality of the product?If you answered, they wouldnt care about the quality of the product, then you are correct and that is the business model this company uses.

I only gave 1 Star because customer service is friendly and seems to want to help but this service is THE WORST EVER! my apartment has a contact with them so we are stuck. Ive only had the service 2 months and I have to call every week because the service goes out. I can only connect one device at a time but no luck streaming any movies. My kids use their hot spots instead. II have the highest package and customer service told me since I have a smart TV its using everything up and thats why I cant connect a tablet or phone but ALL my TV are smart TVs!!! I cant watch my shows, kids cant do homework, husband cant use his PS4 and def no family movie nights at home for us ☹️ idk why they just cant get it together!

If you own a business and not in a contract but month-to-month and try to close your account, good luck! I have a confirmation # of it being closed and they keep auto charging me going on third month! Even the customer service person is baffled why they have not closed and keep charging me and he says he suggest keeping my card on file so they can refund me. Guess I will charge it all back on credit card. This company is deceptive and evil.

This provider is abhorrent. Service would go out for days and return at 40Kb/s for a few weeks, despite ones plan. They are very dishonest about their speeds, even going so far as to all-caps the speed units on their advertising so they can argue about Bits and Bytes when the speed is not up to what you paid for. You can even clearly see this in one of the pictures on Maps.Avoid if at all possible.

Get tracking on all your equipment returns! DirecPath charged me $150 for a modem I returned using their generic USPS return label. Somehow it got lost. I suspect they are fully aware that that use a generic label and just want some additional revenue. There are a lot of BBB complaints regarding this very issue. I cited all of them in my own BBB complaint. When you call in to complain you can get as high as a floor supervisor. Beyond that they have to escalate it to corporate. I did that 4 times with no return phone call.Also, they did not even contact the BBB regarding the complaint I failed.This company is a huge POS.DO NOT USE DIRECPATH

I wouldnt recommend this tv provider to anyone warning stay away....I dont know any provider that charges $$$$36.00$$$ extra dollars every month for receivers on top of your cable bill, can you say crooks and had to pay two hundred dollars for set up and a one time receiver fee but still pay receiver fees monthly????? I have been having consistent issue with the internet service. After repeated outages in my apartment building, I was informed that there was an upgrade performed to permanently resolve the issue. However, the issue now recurs and I have to call in everyday to report the issue and I’m told everyday that there’s an outage! The worst part is that the customer care is clueless about the issues and the updates while they put you on exceedingly long hold.

I wont even begin to talk about how I took a full day off work to have a rep come out and hook up service. They were scheduled 8-12 and came at 8:30pm. What I am more disgusted about is how I just got off the phone after being charged $150.00 for not returning service. I moved to a new property where they could not provide service, and the rep set up a time for someone to come pick up my cable modem. I was home the entire day as the movers were packing. No one came, and I still have the box sitting here. On the call today they told me to look at the attachment on the email from that day about directions to return. There was no attachment. I even forwarded the email back to them. They are now sending me a hard copy of the directions in the mail, and will not return my $150.00. Because they never sent a rep, I owe them $150.00. ALSO, even after they charged me $150.00, they only charged my credit card $129.26 because they OWED me a credit of -$20.74. Unbelievable.

You will consistently have trouble with your internet and/or TV service and to make matters worse they may only send technicians to fix your problem 2 days out of the week. So if you experience difficulties on Thursday, and they only come out on Wednesdays and Fridays you’re just out of luck. Definitely not recommend
I just got off the phone after speaking with DirecPath. I was on hold for a fairly reasonable 5-7 minutes despite the estimated wait time of 1 minute. When the music stopped, I was greeted by the sound of distant laughter and talking. I guess the guy had put his headset down by his computer or something. I stayed on the line for a good 3-4 minutes as I heard talking and keyboard tapping as I shouted Hello, Help, and We are here! At long last I was greeted by a female voice saying Thank you for taking part in this survey. Goodbye. I guess Ill try again tomorrow. Or just wait until my internet fixes itself, which will probably take less time than speaking to an associate.
HORRIBLE SERVICE ACROSS THE BOARD!! They never answer their phones and when they do the representatives are CLUELESS. The wifi service is over priced and garbage. If you dont watch your bill they will charge whatever they want... I HIGHLY ADVISE EVERYONE TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS GARBAGE SERVICE!! Corporate is clueless and garbage as well. STAY AWAY!!!
Required by property to use this service only under contract. Required to use their modem and router despite having my own that were brand new. Service was not useable. It was extremely slow and was forced to pay for the “faster” service that still only utilized half the rated speed. Customer service is awful and Not helpful. Internet goes in and out CONSTANTLY. Straight forward, this is a scam. You are paying for something you don’t get without any choice. This should be illegal. Absolute worst internet provider hands down. I have had this “service” for over a year and still have had the constant issues. If I knew this would have been as big of a headache that it has been, I would have never signed the lease.
How do you give negative Stars? I am not getting the advertised speed. Tech support and customer service are sub par at best. Unfortunately, the are they only provider my apartment complex allows. Wish I could move, the apartment complex and direct path are holding me hostage
My lease with my complex started on the 20th of June. Due to a ‘non compete clause’, I am contractually obligated into choosing Direcpath’s service. I called prior to the 20th, so schedule service since I knew I would be moved in by that date, and they refused to schedule me until my actual lease date started. So I scheduled service, after I moved, which pushed me out a week. Hence, why I tried to schedule prior, so the service would be activated on my move-in date. On July 2nd the technician showed up, knocked once, and then left a note stating no one was home before someone could even get to the door to answer it. I called them back immediately after, and waited on hold for 15 minutes. I stated the technician left without setting up services. They immediately informed me that I would have to reschedule. Now, I have to wait until the 15th of July. No cable or internet is on in my apartment. The woman on the phone told me they would not prorate my service, and that I would be charged my first month’s bill. This is ridiculous when I’m a new customer who doesn’t even have anything turned on! No customer should ever be charged for anything until actual services are set-up. This company needs to lose its business license. Find out your provider before signing a lease with anyone. Direcpath is a horrible contractor for DirecTV.
I wish I could give 0 stars. Our WiFi goes out almost once a day or at least once every other day and they say “unplug it then plug it back in” like I haven’t already done that. We can’t ever get anyone out here. DO NOT GO WITH DIRECPATH THEY ARE THE WORST.Update: we had an issue in our apartment where it ruined the router so I called and they told me not to send it back. Well, apparently they did not make a not of it and proceeded to charge me over $150 for not sending it back, AFTER THEY TOLD ME NOT TO. Please save yourself and go with a different and BETTER company that has morals. This company is awful and probably will always be. 0/10 I DO NOT recommend
Straight garbage.About the service itself: Internet goes out all the time. If it were once in a while, no sweat, I mean it happens to them all. But literally every week. Straight unacceptable in this era of technology. live in a college apartment and usually it goes out either across the property or just a building or two. The maintenance guys come out, it comes back on, and then the next week or so it goes out. They are clearly not fixing the problem. My whole lease has been spent with them working on improving the service. I call shenanigans. This is a company that does not care.Now about the customer service reps: I actually like their customer service staff. Very friendly and courteous, and most of them are fairly knowledgeable. Very friendly and I believe they want to help but there is nothing they can do. I cannot fault them for working for a sheisty company.All in all, you get what you pay for. Dirt cheap Internet but expect it to go out on the regular. I highly do not recommend. Save your money and get something better. Literally anything would do the trick.
After a year or so of mediocre service, my connection has gone completely dead, their website is completely down (even according to Down For Everyone Or Just Me) for at least the past hour, and their main and only support line over the phone is a busy signal.Say what you want about how bad Comcast can be, they at *least* can be reached with a phone call. This is just inexcusably bad.
This has to be the worst internet, customer service and television service on the face of the earth. Our apartment complex said we had to us this horrible service because they have a contract. The hot spot on my phone works better. I wouldnt recommend this company to my worst enemy.
This company logs and monitors all of your Internet traffic if an apartment complex has them look elsewhere. I personally was knocked offline 604 times in 30 days I called to complain and was told that I was causing large scale network abuse and then that I had a virus and my account was blocked but I was on line (for once) the whole time. Run dont walk from this shill.
Internet is extremely slow and you can never get anyone on the phone or via email. Just continues to redirect.
This company is very unprofessional and i cant deal with it i have been waiting on a issue to be resolved for days they dont stick to there word.
I am a business owner and this is absolutely, positively the worst company I have ever encountered in my life. Frankly, I am upset that I was forced to give them one star because they dont even deserve that. If you move into a complex and there are any other options available, take the alternative. The customer service is outsourced to India where the representatives dont understand a word you say, incorrectly document every scenario, keep you on hold for about 30 minutes every phone call and inevitably do not solve any issues. Stay far far away from this company if you can.
