This guy is not a very good jewelry, he is way over priced on everything he has and DO NOT let him work on any jewelry, had him resize a ring and it looked like the first one he ever worked on,very very poor workmanship, ring broke two days after I got it back. Thankfully there is a great jeweler in Athens who took the piece and put my ring together right for half the price. Not sure how he stay in business ripping people off and being such a bad jeweler.

My husband was needing an expensive chain fixed. He has never been in this store. He asked the man for a receipt. The man said that he was an honest man and shouldnt have to write a receipt. (very unprofessional.) Then continued to say, if you return for your chain and do not have the receipt, I will not give it back to you. Now, my husband actually handle it well. He said, Well, then, guess you should give me my chain back because I am trustworthy and go to church but I dont think you are going to give me a $2,000.00 piece of jewelry trusting me to bring it back in a few days now are you? So, I am not going to you.How can someone who says such things be in business? I am not saying anything against their work because I do not know but I do know that he would not give a receipt without trying to be defensive and rude and THAT IS SHADY!Get a receipt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Charlie is an awesome jeweler and ALSO An amazing individual whose more than fair. He is totally honest, upfront, and keeps to his word. Many times Ive taken items in for repair some not real yet he would work his jewerler handy workmanship anyways. This past time he literally stated he just tightened up a few things therefore NO COST. How many businesses or owners would do a kind thing as that? Not many! Charlie at Gold n Gifts Jewelry is a rare and special kind. Everyone needs to learn from this... I plan to return more often and purchase all my jewelry, watches, etc... Had my husbands knife engraved and they were the only place in the area that could do a pocket knife, and i had drove a ways to get there and the guy had it done in 20 minutes for me! Very pleased! :)
