Loved each and every detail of my spa day treatment here for my wedding day. My most favorite was the hot rock massage. So nice they are right downtown in Ashland by the hotel. I felt relaxed and beautiful going into the big day!

This place was exactly what I was looking for, and definitely worth the hour drive for a massage and pedicure - very relaxing, and while its not a fancy big city spa, in the context of southern Oregon it is great!

I cant remember the name of the lady who did my massage, but she was amazing. I will be going back for more. The front desk lady was very friendly and welcoming as well.

All services are great. I have been going there for many many years and i truly love the people, the service, the environment.

I had a bit of an issue finding the entrance because it was downstairs. The massage salon was very clean and pleasant, had to go in with mask and took it off at the massage table. I had a 90 min hot stone massage, shot out to Aubrey. His massage was firm but gentle. I am very pleased, thank you Aubrey!

Beautiful spa, everyone was great, and they really made my daughter feel special on her birthday.

Tracy did a great job with the body scrub and my facial. Lots of Covid pracautions where in place (plenty of distancing and very limited people where there while I was).

As a first time visitor, I had a great experience! The atmosphere, tea, hot stones and towels were very relaxing, but we started my massage after only about two minutes with the tea and hot stone, whereas a little longer would have been nice. My massage therapist was great but she seemed nervous and a little awkward in conversation. The way she customized my massage for tight muscle groups was perfect. Overall, a delightful experience.

I went here for the first time expecting a decent massage. This was the WORST massage I have ever paid for.I really can’t describe how bad it was. Very poor training and very poor work ethics or desire to do a good job. I will never go back.

Julie and her magic scissors are well worth it. Setting is beautiful and relaxing. Desk staff is much improved under new ownership.

The Blue Giraffe is my go-to place for personal spa care. The staff are always friendly and professional. I recommended this spa to my daughter in Grass Valley & it has also become her favorite in Ashland.

I dont get massages more than once a year, so I feel I expect a lot when I am able to go. This was my first time here and it was amazing! Savannah was my therapist and she really tuned in to what I needed. You walk in and you are ushered to the massage section where there is a comfortable waiting room with tea, water and aromatherapy. You are shown the bathrooms and locker rooms. There are small lockers to keep minimal belongings, robes and slippers to change into. As you wait in the cozy lobby you are presented with a warm neck wrap and hot stone for your feet, which really help you start to relax. I wish I could go back more often. I must say you are definitely getting your moneys worth here. The perfect experience!

I am generously rating the Blue Giraffe a three star for a few reasons. I absolutely loved the atmosphere and the ladies who helped were very sweet and made the experience pleasing. However, I had gone in to get a perm, I have had 2 perms before at a different salon that turned out great, and this time, it did not turn out well at all. My hair is stick straight but never had issues taking. She had only allowed 12 minutes of processing instead of 20 minutes per instructions. Not even 2 hours later there was hardly any curl at all and the ends were straight. She assumed it was postpartum hormones (I was 16 months pp) and graciously agreed to re-perm my hair without charging. I went in again with smaller rods and although my hair is much more curly, the ends are still straight because she did not process the amount of time it needed. She again said it could be hormones and the weight of my hair... Again, the atmosphere and care is wonderful, but if you are looking for getting your hair permed, this is not the place I would recommend. I am sad to even write this but I dont want someone having the same experience. I wish them the best of luck!

Not only is Blue Giraffe a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere - but the staff are so kind. I have been to see Megan twice now, once for a pedicure, and once for a leg wax. Her professionalism, happy and sweet nature, and quality approach to her services made my experience completely relaxing and revitalizing. I’m already looking forward to my next appointment!

The Blue Giraffe is awesome! I have never been to a spa before, my wife brought us here on our 1 year anniversary and it was amazing!!! We did a couples bath, massage then spent some time in the steam shower. Was probably the most relaxing experience of my life! The staff was amazing as well! We will definitely be back!

I pre-paid for a spa package as a gift which was supposed to include Mini-Facial | Express Massage | Steam | Express Manicure | Express PedicureDuring the appointment there was no steam treatment, i was told by the person i bought the package for that she was sitting for nearly 25 minutes waiting in between treatments and there was no steam... i would not recommend sending a significant other here as a gift. They wont provide all the services you paid for if you pay in advance.

Not that impressed. Just wasnt what I was expecting for a top rated spa. My pedicure was great, the ladies that did our pedicures made up for the lack of comfort during the beginning of our experience.

Poor customer service--I booked a massage online on the wrong day and they were 100% unwilling to help me change it.Definitely my error (booked for 5pm that day instead of 5pm the following day), but we caught the mistake within an hour or so and they just wouldnt rebook me for the following day.For those inclined to say Policy is policy, I agree. But this is an example where an honest mistake was made, and had they helped correct it, I would probably be very happy to book again with them in the future. Alas, not.

Relaxing, amazing staff, clean and cozy. Only downfall is they use doterra products, supporting an MLM is not my gig.

I find the Blue Giraffe staff to give the best manicures and pedicures in town. Yes, you pay more, but it is worth every penny: calluses are not just skimmed over but fully removed, cuticles are perfect and the polish not lasts longer. I still like french manicures for a more natural but clean look, but many salons get very heavy handed with both coats of the polish and unnaturally thick tips. At the Blue Giraffe they take the time to do it beautifully. I seldom get manicures, so when I do I want it perfect. I get it at the Blue Giraffe.

Sara Ann gives the best massage Ive ever had. Super intuitive and so easy to comminicate your needs to. I struggle with my lower back and piriformis pain and Saras healing touch has totally changed the game.

This place is so over priced it’s insane. They don’t do great nails and my massage was terrible and I paid 400$ with a tip. No joke. The owners are rude and I went there for seven years almost because of my hair dresser Julie. Julie was the good thing about this place! If you are in the area travel to grants pass to Salon Divine for half the price and the best. Honestly I want the best so I had to make a change and I’m so glad that I did.

Ask for attention on my lower back, never once did they begin to do any work there! This was the most PRUDE body massage I have ever had! My back felt worse when I left! Needless to say I WILL NOT BE BACK!

I paid nearly $200 to have my hair cut and colored here, and the woman who did my hair nearly ruined it. I dont color my hair often, so it is healthy and responds well to coloring. I asked her to add natural highlights to my hair to gradually make it lighter. She made it chunks of bleach blonde that were streaky and terrible. I had to pay another $200 at a DIFFERENT salon just to fix the mistakes she made.Although it has a nice ambiance and the woman was nice, I would NOT recommend coming here for color.

I had an appointment with Holly for a cut and color and she delivered exactly what I wanted. She was attentive and made me feel like a rockstar. I would happily return!

This is wonderful Spa. I got a great massage and steam shower after and enjoyed both. The spa itself has a great atmosphere. There is a nice little sitting area to relax in before your appointment. I highly recommend paying the extra for the steam shower. It was the perfect way to end the appointment.

Blue Giraffe is such a beautiful salon in a great location. The staff were so friendly and made me feel very comfortable. When it was time to purchase a relaxing retreat for my friend newly graduated from college, I could think of no better place.

Everyone we speak to tells both Patrick and I, Judy, how wonderful this spa is and its the only place to go. So we made our appointments this morning with a very friendly staff member, asked for what we wanted and, without hesitation, was booked. No hard sells here. We like that. Cant wait to experience this amazing spa.

One of the best spas Ive every been to. Ive been here on several occasions (for facials, manicures, pedicures, hair cuts and styles, and just relaxing baths), and, every time, the service I have gotten is superior. The ladies there are very helpful and nice, and want to make sure that you get the best spa day you can.

$60 for a trim for my 13 year old daughter?! Then I was asked how much I wanted to tip. Heres a tip: dont get your hair cut here, the fees arent fair. Ive been bringing my kids here for haircuts for years. I wasnt told up front that now that my daughter is 13, the price more than doubles. The trim took less than 25 minutes. I felt robbed. Will not be making the same mistake again.

Im a total perfectionist and this is the first manicure and pedicure that I have ever gotten that I can truly say is flawless. In addition to that the message she gave my feet was blissful! Overpriced, massage cut short and asymmetrical. Massage therapist asked questions that had no bearing on her performance. Steam room didnt work. They tout high class spa, but have disgusting carpet and worn out rugs that are tripping hazards. Also the steam room has this horrid vinyl panel that covers up some hole in the wall that allows all the steam to escape. Had been a spa finder establishment but then didnt take spa finder gift card. Overall I had the impression that they were cutting corners and letting the customers carry the costs. I wont be back as I have had better service from massage students for a fraction of the price. And, if I want a steam, I will stay at home and get a better one from my own shower.

I am now a regular at the Blue Giraffe because my favorite hair dresser in Ashland, Julie Schmiess, took on managing the hair salon last year. She has helped make the salon feel more modern and comfortable. She knows how to bring out the best in your hair and takes the time to make sure that you get a style that you can truly live and work with. She is thorough and intuitive in her cutting style, producing unique looks that compliment and highlight your natural beauty. She is a gifted young stylist!

I went in for my first side by side massage. One word to descibe my entire experience....AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! Everything about it was fantastic. I was greeted with a warm cup of tea, a warm stone to put my feet on and a warm neck wrap. Then I was lead back to the treatment room, where I was submursed in total bliss with a wonderful massage. Then on to a hot steam shower. I am planning on making a second appointment really soon. Thank you to the entire staff for a amazing day!

Some massage therapists are amazing.... but there are a couple that really arent good at all. Its an expensive gamble.

Nice staff, has the right spa feel to it

While the place had a great environment nice staff I cant help but feel their communication skills were quite lacking and when it comes to massage... communication is key. I get at least 3 to 4 massages a months due to a past car accident. When calling to schedule and give the Blue Giraffe a try I specifically said I am in need of an experienced massage therapist with great communication skills. Someone who understands how to transition from Swedish to deep tissue.While the therapist did an ok job she was 6 months out of school and english wasnt her first language so communication was not ideal for an injured back. Had the massage been 50% less in cost I wouldnt be writing this review, I dont mind paying well for a fantastic massage but it has to be worth the rate. I do not believe the massage was worth $130.00 and had they listened to what I requested I would be there 4 times a month. Again, the therapist was very sweet and will probably do well with a couple more years under her belt. I am sure she treat you well however I cannot recommend the establishment since I couldnt have been clearer with my request. After telling them I get regular massages I also would have expected at least a call asking how it was or if there was anything they could have done better.... but nothing. Sorry, you may want to check out Chozu Bath and Tea Gardens.

I have received several facials at the Blue Giraffe and have enjoyed each and everyone of them. The staff are very courteous and professional and I walk away looking forward to my next visit.

Excellent staff services! Everytime I go, I get the true pampered experience! From the gel nails, pedicure and massage...it doesnt get any better than this. Do yourself a favor and schedule an appt you will never forget...and experience a truly relaxing environment!

Re: Hair CutI have been to approximately 9 stylists from Ashland to Medford, and found that many of them could not cut evenly from one side to the other. Julie gives a cut way above the ordinary. She costs more than most but is worth every cent in aggravation saved. She listens and excecutes the cut to perfection. You can count on her to create a current style that works for you!
