When the need arises for a public laundry, I always come to Oakley Coin. There is another laundromat much closer to my house, but the attendants at Oakley are always friendly and helpful when I’ve had issues or sometimes just don’t read directions very well! 😂They have numerous machines ranging in capacity from 18lbs up to 135lbs, all with coin OR card access. They also offer complete laundry service - wash, fluff and fold! I highly recommend this longtime local family owned business.

I went today for the first time based on the fact that you can pay with a card.The place was so clean and I felt very comfortable doing my laundry here....period.The people were nice and helpful to not only me but also others when we had questions.I loved the overhang that provided shade for me and my car while I had lunch and waited for my laundry to wash and dry!They have detergent in both powder form and liquid form for sale, also softeners.I have only been to one other laundromat on my road trip, the other was in Atlanta and this was 10,000 better than my frustrating experience there. My laundry seemed dirty still after that place....ew.The washers did a amazing job as well as the dryer.Thank you so much, what a simple and great place. I dont usually leave reviews but I knew I needed to support this place 😃

Overpriced machines and rude staff. There are many sketchy acting people inside this business and walking through the parking lot.

I love that they have so many machines and tables available. And theres an attendant on sight if you run into any issues with the machines. They also have a drink and snack machine, a machine with detergent etc for sale in case u run out or forgot yours, and I noticed they offer a service of washing/drying/folding your laundry for you (for a fee of course).

What kind of laundromat has no chairs to sit while you wait hours for your laundry? Not to mention no bathroom. Bizarro

They’ve upgraded the machines which is fantastic, but they have changed their hours due to the pandemic.

The building it what is cool about this place it has two floors and the laundromat and the store is on the top floor so fill everyone walking especially a sassy person

I have been using this place for at least 16 years, lived in east Asheville for 12 of those and the last couple of years in candler. I still drive 20+ minutes to use their washers and dryers. And they just keep improving and upgrading their machines. And the staff has always been super nice.

First time there, cleanest Laundromat Ive been to. Would definitely go again.

Very clean. Nice, helpful employee. Wasnt crowded at 2:30pm today. Washed 4 throw rugs in col water for $7. If I wanted warm, it would have been 50 cents more. Machines do take credit cards.

Great, clean laundry mat with nice attendant. Washers weigh clothes and gauge time. Ours were 29 minutes and put everything in one dryer for 24 minutes which was perfect. We came here to wash clothes on vacation. Great coffee shop less than 2 miles away- Peaberry.

We were in Asheville from out of town and needed to wash clothing. Unfortunately this laundry mat does not have any chairs or a place to wait while your clothes are washing. It is also not really close to quick food options. If you were planning on trying to eat while waiting… there is a Pizza Hut in the same building but that is it.

The machines are awesome!!There is somebody there to help if you have problems!I had some sand in my laundry and a guy came out with a broom and swept it up for me!Very clean!!I will be back to this one for sure!!

All of the staff is so incredibly friendly and helpful. They really go out of their way to help their patrons and make sure theyre satisfied.Their machines really wash my clothes well, and I really appreciate that they take cards for everything.

Let me just say Im a mother to four grown children so I should know about washing laundry this place is the best Ive ever been to In My Life so clean everything works no broken down machines and dryers but the best thing about this place you can use your credit card your debit whatever card slide it in the machine starts Im willing to drive an hour to get to this place love it highly recommend this laundromat and the laundry attendant his name was Keith hes awesome great personality just fits the position at his workplace amazingly good nice for a better nicer person.

Clean, warm, and lots of choices of machines to use. Im on vacation and I needed a quick stop for laundry. Safe, warm, quick and clean. Cant ask for much more. Oh, they have individual size soap and larger bottles available to purchase, hangers, and snacks too.

Prices are fare. Not very clean. Rust forming at the base of older washers. Could use a remodeling job if practical.

This laundry mat has everything you need to get your clothes clean.

This was my first time here and I dont think Ill ever do my laundry anyway else or where else again. The machines were fast and efficient. They also have card readers on every machine. No need for change. I was relieved and pumped about that. I got six loads done in a little over an hour. The dryers are huge! I put all of my 6 loads into two dryer machines and it all dried in 20 minutes. Including dog beds. It all cost me 17 dollars. Also, the gentleman working, (owner?) Was incredibly helpful and kind. I put too much soap in one of my machines and made it glitch. He offered to make sure my blanket was rinsed properly with no charge to me. They also lock the front doors at 9 and the side doors at 10. He asked where I parked and unlocked the front door for me when I was ready so I would have a shorter walk to my car with my laundry. Just all around awesome.

It’s been a while since I’ve had to use a laundromat. I think this is one of the nicest & cleanest ones I’ve ever used. It’s very open, with plenty of space so you’re not up in each other’s business. Machines are reasonably priced & actually wash your clothes. I was very surprised how quickly I was in & out with 4 separate loads to wash.

First time to a laundromat in a long time. Havent had a washer in three weeks so I had 6 loads. Pandemic time with a 3 year old in tow. This place is CLEAN and there are so many washers and dryers. I loved that you could pay with a credit card. The BEST part is the lady that works in the back! She seriously deserves a raise. She showed me how to work the machines, explained the stuff I didnt understand, was kind even though my child was having a hard time waiting, and she just really changed my whole day around. I left feeling lighter...sounds cheesy but I did. I love that lady and I love this place.

Just had to wash an oversized comforter. It was early and empty, not a bad experience. I was surprised to see that there were no chairs to sit and wait while your clothes were washing. The would sick of you got dropped off, walked or public transportation.

This place is very expensive because All of their extractors are Out of Order and the spin cycle is not long enough or powerful enough to remove most of the water from the clothes. My drying time was a lot longer than it needed to be. Will never wash my clothes at this place again.

This laundromat its fairly large which is a good thing especially when you have a lot of laundry. We felt safe there after Dark. Theres also a gas station and Pizza Hut connected to the laundromat so everything you could need is right there.

Employees are very helpful. Usually very clean and you can find big washers almost all the time. Prices are about the same as everywhere. They have a huge 135 pound washer for 14.00 (cold water, 16.00 for hot) it washes great

This laundry is the BEST! It is clean, quiet, and all machines are in excellent condition. Our family stops here every year after camp to wash EVERYTHING! Ms. Jane greeted us with a smile, assisted us with the BIG machine, and even helped fold our clothes. You dont see customer service like that anymore. She is a rare and precious jewel!We will always come back! Thank you.

It’s great as far as coin laundry places go. I like that they take cards now at the machines; however, they do not take cards for the washing services (like getting a down comforter cleaned) so that was a bit annoying. Parking is convenient. It’s clean. I love the retro feel of the tables. They did a great job with my down comforter.

Clean area with efficient machines. TVs and WiFi to pass the time. The main reason I’m leaving this review though is the amazing customer service I received from Keith. He saw that I had a question about the machines and came right over before I had to ask. I watched him literally work the room helping people carry things, figure out the machines and just generally spread his good attitude and customer service. You don’t normally relate laundromats with great customer service but you’ll certainly receive it here. Thanks Keith!

This is one of the nicest laundromats I have ever been in. It is very clean with a great variety of washing machines and dryers. The best part is a member of the staff, Jane. She helped me choose which machine was best for washing my comforters and when which dryer I should use. She could not have been nicer or more helpful. I had not been in a laundromat in a while so I needed help which Jane happily provided. Great place 😄😄

Okay this place is awesome I was in town on business for 3 weeks did laundry there twice two huge loads of laundry only cost me about $6 what I like best is that they have a change machine for bills if you go in with a $20 bill theres a machine to give you four $5The machines all take quarters and you dont have to worry about getting ripped off by buying a laundry card like some of these wash worlds out there...!! Plus if you dont want to use coins certain machines they are take Apple pay and you can also use your debit or credit card they also have vending machines with plenty of fabric softener detergent and bleach staff there is extremely friendly and helpful and like I said I just cant say enough good things about this place!!! Oh one more thing the dryers there are awesome I dried a huge load of laundry for only $0.50 bone dry not like these machines and laundromats that set up their machines to rip you off!!! Nope not this place so glad I found themThanks a bunch :)

They have different size washing machines. You can purchase detergents, fabric softeners, snacks. The attendant was friendly and helpful.You can leave your clothes for a fee to have someone else wash and dry them.

Clean laundromat with great quality washers and dryers. Be wary of using the credit card readers. I swiped my card and it was denied so i paid with coins and then noticed later that day, it charged my card anyway. I have yet to get my money back. Does not keep me from going back though. I just make sure to bring cash.

The place is reasonably clean however they have the water level cut back so far on their washing machines that your clothes dont wash or rinse properly. the water level barley comes up to the bottom of the window on the door. I started going to Dutch girl because they actually give you what your paying for and after the rinse cycles my clothes are actually free of soap. Come on Oakley,people are paying good money to wash their clothes,lets have enough water in those machines to do it right.

Very clean, large building with all working snack machines, video games, cold drink, toy, detergent-softener, and laundry bag machines all for a price. Newer, multi optional washer and dryers. Commercial size can cost from $14-$17 to use depending on selected wash and temp you use. Holds up to 125lbs of laundry. Dryers as large as well taking quarters for 3-8 minutes per quarter depending on temperature selection. Also a working TV, downstairs restrooms, on site staff. Connected to a convenience store- gas station that accepts cash, credit and ebt and a Pizza Hut.

Ive only needed to come here about three times, each time almost all of the washers were working and all of the dryers were working.. that really says a lot about any laundromat.

Laundry attendant is rude.

Always clean, never seen any vagrants or untouchables in there, always nice people.The attendants can be rude at times, but only rude enough to melt snowflakes, everyone else born before 1992 will be fine.

I usually enjoy stopping by here, other customers are usually friendly and its fun to chat every once in a while
