Charla did a great job with my haircut considering it was the first time she had met me. Very nice and easy to talk with and she cut my hair the way I wanted it.

I showed up early for my appointment with Casey and was taken in immediately. She gave my the exact cut I showed her pictures of and couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! We had great conversation during my appointment. The salon was clean and Covid friendly. I recommend 100%! Thanks for all you guys do and for all your hard work! ❤️

Casey is the best. Everyone in there is super fun and friendly. I hadnt gotten a hair cut in 5 years! She was super helpful, listened intently and made suggestions that fit my needs. I walked out of there with the exact hair style I wanted and will go back every single time.

UPDATE: The only person Ive let touch my hair for the last 2 years is Casey and I definitely dont regret it. If you want a good haircut, go here.I have been here twice now with two different stylists and both times they have done an exemplary job on my hair. I have a beard and medium length hair. The most recent trip in particular the lady did an excellent job blending the hair to fit with my beard and style I wear my hair. I cant remember her name but she has several tattoos and green hair. Ive been going to Casey for several years on a regular basis for a hair cut, and Ive come to know and appreciate her enormously. First, and most important, she gives a nice cut at a very reasonable price. Second, shes an extremely cool person (this very intelligent woman was once a professional softball player!) and fun to chat with. I give Casey two thumbs up!

I haven’t been to a Salon in a long time because I usually have a bad experience but Casey did a fantastic job. She read me well and made suggestions without being pushy. I left feeling beautiful and got compliments on my hair! If you’re looking for a chill salon without all the high maintenance bells and whistles, this place is for you.

They dont wash your hair...they just spray it down with a water bottle as they cut it. The place doesnt have good lighting. But theyre good enough at basic cuts and they have good prices.

If it werent for the two ladies at WestSide, I would not be able to afford a haircut in this town. They are both really nice and do a good job. They also save me from humiliation when I try to cut my hair myself. So appreciated.Thanks,Emily

Great people that know what they are doing. Made the mistake of going to great clips when I first moved to Asheville... if i had pictures i would post them to dissuade anyone from venturing to that place. So glad I found west side, this place is great.

Ive had an occasional bad haircut throughout the years but this was the WORST EVER. The gal didnt even listen to what I wanted and proceeded to do her own thing. She lopped off and butchered most of my beautiful mane which had taken years to grow out. Youre better off cutting your own hair rather than going here. If you care anything about your hair STAY AWAY!!!

If you’re going to charge $45 to cut my hair, at least wash it first. Also, what was supposed to take 30 minutes took about 10, which made me kind of uneasy. Staff seemed ready to go home. I get that a lot of places like to tow the line between casual and professional, in order to make customers more comfortable- but this was a bit too far on the casual side. I left with my super curly hair a frizzy mess, as it was brushed out and then not washed- just sprayed with a bottle. I put my hair up as soon as I left. Not impressed. Why is it so hard to find someone who can actually work with curly hair...

Stacy Fiano is a great addition to Westside Shears. She gave me a super cute pixie haircut and color. It is so easy to care for. She also tinted and arched my eyebrows. I feel 10 years younger. My husband also got his haircut by Stacy and he looks so handsome!! She is sweet and fun to talk to. Go and see her!!

Considered employment here based on local reviews and that they had an opening for a stylist avaliable. Went in, was barely greeted, even though Casey had a client, bring considerate, I patiently waited 15 minutes with her not even acknowledging my existence. So I ended up leaving, but not without getting her name first. I certainly hope that she isnt the owner. If so, this business is not thriving in the terms of customer service by any means. Thumbs down👎👎👎Perhaps Casey should find work in a non-customer service field or not post openings if she is discriminatory or has no intention on filling the position.

The high fade I recieved was subpar. It turned out to be a high and tight and charged me 20 bucks. My wife and I left the building only to return a minute or two later to have the stylist shave the hair she had left around my ears. I was informed by another stylist (she wasnt busy) that the one that cut my hair was outside smoking and I had to wait for her. My wife and I waited for about 5 minutes, the stylist didnt return so I decided to go home and fixed it myself. Next time Ill go back to greatclips.

Casey has been cutting my hair since I moved to WAVL 8 or 9 years ago. I would never consider going anywhere else. She is the best damn barber in this town. Anyone who says otherwise is an asshat.

Meh... Barber spent 5 minutes on my hair and charged $25. I walked out feeling like I was overcharged for my mediocre haircut. There a number of barbers here, so others may spend more time on your hair than mine did. All in all, I will be trying out a new barber shop for my next cut.

Westside is great. It ended my two year search for a place that takes walk ins, gives great haircuts, and is run by nice folks. They get my vote for best place for a youngish Asheville business person to get their haircut, among other things. Reasonably priced. And you can get great coffee next door - two birds, one stone.

Horrible parking. Told them I was new to Aville when I booked my appt. was told I would be with Melissa. Walked in, was greeted with hey haircut. Really, no open heart surgery then find out Melissas not even there. I know this town is laid back and all but I still expect to be treated with the etiquette a customer deserves. Only 1 chance to make a first impression and you failed.

Casey is the best ever. She is quality, style and efficent. You cant find a quality haircut for a better price. She has a great personality and I love our conversations! She has an open mind and the willingness to try new things. She can be adventurous if you allow her but she will do exactly what you tell her to do!
