I have had GEICO insurance for 42 years and until today I would have recommended them. I slid into a ditch and called for roadside assistance. I was directed to use their convenient app. I downloaded the app, filled in all the details and pushed submit. I got a message that it didnt go through, try again. I did. I did again. Nothing. So I called the number (different from the roadside assistance number on the card). I waited. And waited. Twenty minutes later I was still waiting. I call AAA, used their website and my car and I were home in 15 minutes. In the past GEICO had humans answering their phone and their service was wonderful. After this fiasco, I am changing my insurance.

Worst customer service ever!!! Please do not go here. I waited almost an hour before somebody helped me. I walked in and waited forever for them to even acknowledge I was there. Then some guy walked out And said he would help me shortly and never came back out. And the worst part is, all they were in there doing was chitchatting about stuff that had nothing to do with insurance. This is by far the worseeeeeeeeee! Definitely do not recommend 😌

DO NOT use Geico worst insurance company ever. After years they dont lower rates they raise them and if you ever get in a accident Geico will say your not covered even if you have full coverage. Allstate is amazing . Save yourself money

They will not call me back. They were supposed to guarantee the work of the place that fixed my vehicle and is refusing to help with a rental now that my vehicle is back in the shop. I can barely get anyone to answer me back and I can’t even get in touch with my adjusters boss. This is ridiculous. The accident wasn’t even my fault and now I’m out of work and having to fight to try even get in touch with someone. This is the absolute worst insurance company period!

I called our local Asheville Office to get info on a low mileage discount for my auto policy. This office will NOT discuss any changes or options on an existing policy. Been with them 20 years, and was able to previously speak with an agent. Now you can not get by the receptionist to speak to a local agent. She will transfer you to the main GEICO office, and you on wait on hold over an hour to reach an agent. Not Good Customer Service.

I used to love this company as one of the most friendly, responsive companies I had ever used. After Covid struck it is nearly impossible to get through to anyone. Ive spent multiple days trying to get throughout, to change things around on my policy that I needed to discuss with someone. My wait times have been over an HR several times. Its extremely frustrating and annoying when all I need is about 10 mins of their time. I understand the virus has made things difficult for everyone, but seriously everytime I call, someone will answer then immediately transfer me to an agent and I stay on hold forever. They went from the top of my list to the bottom.

GEICO saved my car! After SpeeDee Oil change put gear oil in the transmission, which ended up requiring a totally new transmission for $7700, GEICO covered the costs after my deductible! If they had not done this, I would be without a car! The representatives I spoke to were professional and very helpful! Would recommend to everyone!

I called looking for commercial auto insurance and they basically took all my info, transferred me around to 8 different people over the course of 45 minutes, just for me to find out that they dont even offer it in my state. Despite being told repeatedly that they could help me, what a waste of time and aggravation. It didnt seem like anyone knew what was going on and everytime they transferred me, i had to start over and tell them the entire situation over again. Not to mention one agent had a screaming baby in the background, and another one i could hardly hear at all.

Horrible experience with Geico roadside assistance. It is now 8 days since my initial call on July 8th for a tow and my sons car never made it to the auto dealership and is now essentially missing. I have been on the phone over 20 times with Geico, with zero resolution and reached out directly to Todd Combs, CEO, and had zero response.

Nasty, nasty people! Now after being with them for 9 years and cancelling my policy with them they pop up with an early termination fee that is over half of a regular monthly payment. They cant offer me a lower fee because they cant insure my home and bundle it. Farm Bureau is a much better company to deal with. Id give geico zero stars if I could.

The worst customer service ever!!!!!!! Having to Go through geico after my car was totaled was horrendous. For one, they wouldn’t work with my insurance company to share information and complete claims and they were at fault. This was on me. My car was not towed to junk yard on day and time communicated to me which I had taken off work for. No flexibility from claims adjuster to complete process. I received a phone call late Thursday afternoon about meeting the next day, 45 min from where I work and live, to complete paperwork. When I said I wasn’t able to get off work, due to such a short notice, and inquired if other times were available, the adjuster said that was the only time he had. Or someone could maybe meet me middle of following week. Well middle of Following week came, I had to reach back out due to no communication again. Only to find out nothing had been scheduled but they would reach out to see if someone could still meet. Fortunately they were able to and I was able to move on from that experience. And this was just the settlement process!! I had poor service in geico covering my rental. I had to cover some of the initial cost myself. And complain to be reimbursed. In all just awful.

I have had the WORST experience with Geico. I took out my policy in June 2016. The first problem was when I had to file a claim, which I was not at fault, and found out my vehicle did not have full coverage. Which was supposed to have full coverage! I ended up having to pay out of pocket. So Im out of a vehicle and stuck with the costs! I then get a letter in the mail asking for my teenage sons license number, which was given the day I took out my policy, so I filled it out and sent it in. Then I get an email today stating he isnt on my policy. I get my declaration page out and he is listed on it. They told me he wasnt covered because he was listed as an inactive driver. Thank goodness he hasnt had any issues! Then they tell me my rates are going to increase because he wasnt covered, so now it has went up almost $300 more dollars! I had even spoken with a manager before I found this out and went through my policy line by line, including my son being covered. Only to be told by email he wasnt. Needless to say I would NOT recommend this company to anyone!! I have only had them for 3 months and needless to say I WILL be calling another company today and getting coverage. Nobody in their company can get anything right!!!! I could add even more to this as far as problems go but I think you get the point. I would not get insurance here!!! I would not give them one star but thats the lowest I can give to rate them. ZERO STARS!!!!

We have been dealing with GEICO for over a month due to damages caused by one of their customers to our yard, cars and the street light in our yard. This has been the WORST customer service EVER.My car had damage to the rear bumper and it had to be replaced. My yard was torn up. My boyfriends car was utterly undrivable and it took him and the tow truck driver to move his car out of our driveway. The streetlight leans now after their clients car hit it.Fast forward a month and just now my car was repaired. The yard still looks a mess and Shawns car is fixed but now shakes and pulls. IT DID NOT DO THIS BEFORE GEICOS CLIENT HIT HIS CAR. When the adjuster went to look at Shawns car, he did an estimate on THE WRONG CAR. Did I mention that GEICO WONT RETURN HIS CALLS?So, yesterday, I replied to one of their Facebook posts all of this. I received a reply to FB message them the claim number, and my phone number. So, I did. The person who responded Jaz said someone would get back to me soon. Today I messaged back that I had not heard from anyone. I received another apology, this time from Renee, but was told that due to priority I would not hear back before Monday.So, I replied to the GEICO fb post AGAIN and stated that I had screen shot the post, my responses, the Messenger posts/responses and would be sharing them to my fb and instagram accounts. I asked do I need to get a lawyer for GEICO to make things right? Not a peep back.Long story short, GEICO sucks. They have no intention of doing the right thing. Thats obvious. If they ever bother to do the right thing and repair everything they wait it all should have been fixed, I will change my post here accordingly.But I sure wont be holding my breath, waiting for them to fix my property. In the meantime, I am going on record stating that GEICO is awful. This is the worst customer service EVER.

The absolute worst insurance company. I previously had progressive insurance but switch to geico because they had the same coverage for cheaper. Had a tree fall on my car two weeks ago. In the past two weeks nothing has been taking care of. Keep in mind I have full coverage. Happened on Thursday, no one was out to view the car until the following Monday. Had to fight with them to get a rental because they had to prove it was new damages. Like a whole tree on my car isnt new enough that I have to prove it. Every time I call someone either gives me opposite info from the previous person or tells me we dont handle, let me transfer you. Cant get any straight answers from anyone. Will be switching to a better insurance when everything is finished. Save yourself the trouble and just pay a little extra for an insurance company that actually takes care of business.

My wife and 2 small daughters (1 year old and 8 year old) were rear ended by a geico insured on March 28th 2019. The accident involved 3 vehicles, and the geico insured was found 100% at fault (my wifes car was the first car at a traffic light that was struck by a van that was struck by the geico customer). My children were not injured, however my wife suffered a neck and back injury which resulted in 19 doctor visits over 3 months time, and still now has flare-up pain 6 months later. Following the accident there were many many days that my wife (a stay-at-home mom) was unable to even pick up our baby to comfort her when she needed her mom or even breastfeed her.This whole situation has been terrible, and has been further irritated by Geico adjusters devaluing our claim and laughing (literally laughing) at our request for compensation.We are still trying to settle on the personal injury (North Carolina is an at-fault state which means the at-fault party is obligated by law to pay pain & suffering). They act as if they (the adjuster) are doing us some huge favor by even paying our claim (reminder...this was not our fault, my wife was just sitting at a traffic light when a negligent geico customer stuck her). They have offered us only a fraction of what 3 other insurance agents have said that they should pay. Every resource I can find that gives advice on valuing pain & suffering tells me that they are taking advantage of us. The amount they are offering does not even cover the time and fuel spent traviling back and forth from the doctor visits.Meanwhile I am out of pocket for a portion of the doctor bills, time, fuel, and lots of frustration while I attempt to negotiate with this company.I share all this with you so that you may know what its like to file a claim with this company. You may save a few bucks on premiums, but it will cost you if you ever file a claim. Geico spends more $$ that any other insurance company on advertising, they cant do this by paying fairly on claims...they do this by devaluing you.

Worst insurance ! I was charged a fee because I canceled my insurance before the due date ! I am on a fixed income I need money to buy food ! Gieco rate went up, they started charging me over $200. Per month ! So i called Progressive and saved $75.00 per month ! Worst thief’s ever ! Sad that I have had insurance my whole life and I am getting screwed ! If there was 0 for review I would give it, you don’t even deserve a one star 🌟!

Weve had our car insurance through Geico for a couple years now, mostly because its a) cheaper than the places we compared it against and b) because it had really well-built online tools for adding and modifying our policy, as well as online payment options.When we needed to add a homeowners policy, though, we knew that talking to an actual agent was probably going to be our best bet for really finding the best policy, so I contacted our local office (this was the first time Id actually interacted with a local agent), and got in contact with Stephanie Cogswell. She made the process so easy, right from the beginning. She was willing to communicate with us entirely over email (which just works a lot better for my schedule than trying to find time for a phone call), and the entire process was completed in just a couple of days. The quote we got was way less than we were anticipating, and she was completely helpful and understanding, especially since this was our first home purchase and we had a lot of questions for her.

Not trying to give them bad review but just became a new client not even a week ago and the agent that set up the policy on my vehicle was to set up our rental insurance and she promised to call me on Saturday but no call so I have called them 5 times and no one will return my call so if this is the way they do business I will look elsewhere for insurance. Don’t ever drive a company car with geico insurance. When a deer runs out and hits you, they will site some obscure NC law that allows them to screw you over and not pay for damages. Oh, and they will take five weeks to tell you this too.

I called the Patton Ave. office with a question re: my policy. Roxane hung up without saying anything except Just a minute. She transferred me to the 800#. I find this rude and unprofessional. As my question was about buying a new policy for a new vehicle, I am wondering if I should stay with Geico, if local agents treat customers so callously. I have been a customer of theirs for six years.
