Its not often I experience a level of service compelling enough to write a review, but Dougs Automotive has exceeded my expectations time and time again.I do most car work myself, but I am by no means a professional. Dougs has saved me untold time and money by helping with diagnostics and repairs I either cant or dont want to handle in my driveway.Prices are fair, and staff are friendly and infinitely patient with my questions and concerns.Dougs Automotive is the only place I have ever fully trusted with my vehicles. After trying several other places, I was so happy to find Dougs Automotive. I have taken 4-5 different vehicles to them over 12+ years. I find them honest, dependable and kind. They take extra care of old lady customers, like me. Doug can explain things to me and draws pictures so I understand.

I had a fantastic experience with Dougs Automotive this past week. I have been going to another location in the area for multiple years but couldnt get an answer for a rattling sound and started to not feel comfortable with their suggestions for repairs as I know my jeep needed work, but their list seemed extensive. I found Doug through Nextdoor and the entire experience was nothing but a pleasure. We dropped my car off, had the air conditioning checked which hasnt been working and he knew exactly what the rattling noise was (a broken heat shield) and he fixed it with just a hose clamp. He also did an entire check on my vehicle and noted a handful of stuff that needed to get done. We took it back that next week and all the work was completed in a day at a very fair price, could not be happier with my visit!! Doug will be my new go to for any car maintenance or repairs and there is no wonder why he has been in business for over 30 years.

I wont take my cars anywhere else. Dougs is AAA certified and he is honest and fair. He lets us know what needs done and what can wait. He doesnt try to upsell unnecessary repairs. If you need a good, honest mechanic, this is the place to go!

I’ve been taking my cars to Doug’s for about 10 years, and in that time I’ve never had a negative experience. Doug has repeatedly proven himself to be reliable, friendly, professional, responsive, and—perhaps most importantly—honest. Several years ago, during a routine oil change and inspection, Doug uncovered what he thought was an expensive electrical problem; he quoted me $1400 to fix it, and I gave him the go-ahead. He called me back an hour later to explain that one of his techs had made a mistake, and that in fact the problem was far smaller than he thought—it would be only about $100. A less scrupulous mechanic might not have said anything, and I would have happily (and unwittingly) forked over the money. But not Doug. He’s far more interested in keeping me as a customer than he is about making a quick buck.On other occasions Doug has gone out of his way to accommodate my schedule, waiting around for me after business hours or arranging an early-morning pickup. He’s given me rides home and picked me up after work was complete. He’s always been communicative, never hesitating to spend time explaining things to me when I need my hand held.Over the years I’ve worked with a variety of mechanics, and in my experience the truly good ones are few and far between. Doug is one of them. He’s a car guy through and through, but he clearly also values his customers. He’s the best at what he does. I couldn’t recommend him more.

Wonderful people, who do great work. He was very straight forward with me and even showed me and explained what he did to fix my car and how the old parts were needing replacement. I would give them more stars if I could! Always friendly service in person or over the phone.

I cannot sing praises enough for Dougs Auto. I felt like an old friend from the minute I walked in the door yesterday. Doug and Fran were so friendly, and we talked about how its not hard to be an honest mechanic with reasonable prices, yet so many are NOT that way!I learned more about the mechanics of cars yesterday than I ever have. Doug took me out to the garage three times to show me that my my rotors were warped and how they measured it. He also showed me how my shocks were leaking and what damage that can do to my tires. He also asked me to come back after I had my tires done so that he could check the torque on the lug nuts because if theyre over torqued they can warp the rotors.My husband was equally impressed when I told him the cost of the labor. He usually expects the labor to be about double the cost of parts, and Dougs labor fees were not even close!Ive been searching for an honest mechanic with reasonable prices for TEN YEARS in the Denver area. We have finally found our new family friend--Dougs Auto!

Finally a place thats skilled, incredibly honest, and reasonably priced.Weve been bringing our vehicles to Dougs for a few years now and I realized Id never given them a review. Doug and Fran always take the time to explain what they found and what the options are - including whats needed now and whats optional. The cost has always been very fair and usually less than what we guessed it might have been. The work is always done right the first time - weve never had to have a re-do.Take your work there - youll be glad you did.

Very happy with Doug and his team. Prior to visiting Dougs, I went to 2 mechanics who overcharged me and could not correctly diagnose and fix my problem. Doug restored my cars turbocharged performance and didnt overcharge or try to up sell me like the other shops did. Highly recommended.

If you want honesty and good work..go to Dougs Automotive. Everything is explained and if he can save you money by trying something else, he will. My husband doesnt trust people working on his vehicles and he will only go to Doug.
