Do not waste your time or money. Came in for dip powder, showed a picture of what I wanted. It was not hard at all. No design just different colors on each nail. Amy gave me attitude because she couldn’t find the matching colors and blamed my picture. I ended up settling on one color that I didn’t even really want because it was taking way too long. When working on my nails it was not a relaxing experience at all. Amy’s nails were stabbing my fingers the whole time and I even told her once. Then the hot towel she was going to put on my hands had hair on it so I pointed it out and she got another one. Her “massage” was her squeezing lotion on two of my fingers and then water up and down my arms which was unsettling. She then hassled me for a tip and made me stay there until I paid her on Venmo. I walked out which dry crust all over my hands and weirdly shaped nails.

Been wanting to try this place but don’t live in the area to justify going out of my way for it. I was in the area today and decided to try them since had an important work assignment coming up, so this was a bigger deal than usual to have my nails how I wanted them. I showed them a pic of what I wanted (which wasn’t difficult at all), but they did what they wanted instead and not what I asked for. Anytime I spoke up, the lady shut me down and brushed me off pretty dismissively. She did not do the shape I wanted, and also did not fix a nail I asked for her to fix. Honestly it ruined my day as it was so important to me. I might just have to go somewhere else right now just to fix the job they failed at and I wanted to be happy with them. Safe to say I will never come back unfortunately.

I just moved from New York to the Arlington VA area and was looking for a new salon for my SNS Powder which I have been wearing for almost 3 years. I happened to google and found this Nail Salon on the second floor closed to my apartment. I was so happy that I found it. My tech, Amy is so professional. She did my SNS and a regular Pedicure with all attention to detail...Love it, and would recommence it to all the Ladies who is looking for SNS or Pedicure. I have not tried their shoulder massage yet, but will definitely give it a shot next time.

Although they try hard and were very nice, I can not recommend a place that can’t do my nails better than I can. They rushed my manicure which was over in less than 15 minutes; pedicure filing was uneven and I had to point it out several times; manicure polish chipped within a day in several places, not just the tips, and when I went back to show them, they wanted to charge me $10 to change the polish. I walked out and told them I’d polish my nails at home! I’ve been to Bliss Spa 3 blocks away several times and it’s way better. For a place that has so much competition in an upscale neighborhood, this is just disappointing.

My girlfriend and I went, posted the purple and dark brown set, why are our nails going to the left? What happen to the nail tech Karen?, she was the best. Leftover glue on my fingers, uneven nails, different shapes on each finger. not ok. And lastly the nail tech was in a rush and just did horrible, didn’t even wait for my nails to dry up. I would’ve preferred one of the other ladies if she was in a rush, we were the only two people there so that could have been an option too.

Had a just okay experience here today.Main issue was that unprompted my technician asked/told me to get my eyebrows waxed too. I jokingly asked her if that meant they looked bad and she said, “Yes, too long. Not good.” I appreciate a good upsell attempt but ha, sad. Rubbed me the wrong way.Would return due to convenience and nails look good, but not my top choice.

I have come here 5+ times because it is right behind my house and extremely convenient. However, I have finally decided to stop giving them my time and money. They almost ALWAYS over charge me until I asked them to explain the charge and then they say oh, oh, sorry! when their math is off. The last manicure I had I just went in for a gel removal and nail buff. The woman was clearly mad when I did not say yes to getting another gel manicure. She did not hide it at all and gave me the WORST treatment. I had to ask her multiple times to smooth out spots that still had gel. I regret that I tipped her, but I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. I will add that I had never had this woman in particular before and the others were not as rude. I feel bad writing this review because everyone was so nice and the salon is clean. However, I got an SNS manicure here and my nails started chipping and breaking in a week. I can also see the cracks in almost all of my nails so I expect the rest to break off soon and my cuticles look terrible. I am disappointed I have to get all of this redone so soon, it didnt last me 2 weeks and I get SNS often so I know this shouldnt have been an issue. I spent $75 for that visit and now have to spend even more money to have another salon fix my nails a week later.

No point in making an online appointment as they do not check them or adhere to the requests in the slightest. I went in on a Thursday when they opened, which is what I set my appointment to, and was the first one in so no issue there. I asked to do the pink and white dip, but instead of white I asked ifbi could do silver tips. They initially said OK but there was a strange amount of confusion between a bunch of them as they kept coming over to discuss the dips without taking to me, finally they just said no and that I would have to do gel for that. I said Ill stick with the sns dip and just do the pink and white then. The technician was nice but noticed her mistakes and just pretended she didnt see them. She dipped one pinky nail all the way down and stared at it for a bit before deciding to leave it all white and ignore the problem. She also didnt roll my middle finger which caused the white to come out noticeably slanted. The final straw has to be that she sanded them down in different spots making some nails have dips and some be rounded over. Each nail has bubbling under the final layer of polish and my thumbs have some black fuz of some kind trapped under the last coat of polish too. I posted pictures of the issues. Some of the polish ends about half a centimeter from the cuticle which means some will need to be redone before others, kinda defeats the purpose of paying the extra cost to last longer

Amazing service. Super friendly. Great designs and colors. Theyre quick when you need it and you can relax if youre in that type of mood. Ginger tea is a nice touch. Highly recommend. Theyre experienced and nails really last!😍😍😍

I got a pedicure. She was so thorough! I had this awful callus on my toe that she did a great job shaving down as well. Would definitely recommend to friends!

I moved to Arlington in May and have been to Acqua nails many times. The staff is great, they always do a great job. Sophia has been doing ombre SNS for me, and I love it!! I get so many compliments :)

Very friendly staff. I have been going to Acqua Nails for years and always leave happy. My technician Karen is very professional and value her clients. She takes her time to make sure her work is done with profession and that the clients are always satisfied. I highly recommend booking an appointment with Karen. She is AWESOME!!!

I do not recommend this salon at all, because they are only thinking about money and not quality, I took the time by phone and when I got there the price changed, they also Do not have a nice talk to customer, one of the most important things is behavior and speak nice to customer, but they are very rude. I will never go there again. Also the quality is really poor, and they just did fast with out any focus on the nail. That was very bad experience:((

I think the only issue was that they seemed to rush the manicure for me just a bit so it wasnt fully cleaned around the nails but other than that it had zero lumps, all smooth, the color was amazing and its pretty worth it

This was my first time coming to Acqua nails and I loved it! Sophia was so kind and not only did she do a great job but she also helped me to choose out a nail color that would match my outfit for a special event. The location was so convenient, clean, and organized. I look forward to coming back for all my future special events!

Im confused? Do you accept online reservations for services you dont offer? My appointment was booked 48 hours in advance online and I received confirmation. I arrived on time and was ready for a simple acrylic set. Sounds easy enough? I walked in for my 6pm appointment and was met with death stares. I was quickly told they didnt know of my appointment and they did not have the capacity to service a walk in. No other customers were in the salon. There appeared to be 4 stations available. I was told the service I wanted wasnt even available. So strange. I left feeling uneasy, something didnt feel right. As I exited two Caucasian women (not together) got walk in appointments and were serviced immediately. Im black by the way. So now I get it! I dont recommend unless you want to feel discriminated against.

Uneven shaped nails. Blamed it on me for waiting until she put powder down to ask for almond. If that’s an issue why don’t you as the professional ask me what shape I’m doing so you know what to do? Pushed gel (per usual) so I checked the website to see the cost of gel full set, and it said 50 so I did it. When it was time to pay her I was told 65 so I brought up the website and she told me I was lying so I pulled it up and she said the owner doesn’t keep the site up to date. Completely trash nails for $65.... smh. Save your money and go somewhere else!

I absolutely love acqua nails in market common. Every time I go the service is fantastic and they do a really nice job. Highly recommend booking an appointment with Sophia ! She is very precise and always does a beautiful job!

Two friends and I scheduled appointments online for acrylic fill in two days before our anticipated appointments..after scheduling online we followed up with a call to confirm our appointments.. we arrived early to our 6 pm appointment...upon arrival we were immediately told that we did not have an appointment and that they don’t really appointments and that they do not do acrylics and they were closing and that they could not service us...As we left, feeling confused and disappointed another woman walked in with no mention of an appointment and was welcomed warmly...It was very apparent that we were discriminated against because we were black woman...We triple checked our appointment confirmations and the address...I wish I could give negative 5 stars

Mediocre effort... depending on who you get. They’re too busy gossiping to do a good job. Wasted $35 pedi & she wasn’t happy I didn’t want a spa pedi and made sure I was aware of it.

The owner is very polite and was very genuine! They made me feel very comfortable being in the salon!

I used to come here regularly for a gel mani and enjoyed it. Recently the last few times have been a miss. Today my nail tech gave me a very rushed gel mani despite the salon being almost empty, made my nail bleed despite not having any hangnails- she also blamed it on my skin being dry when I said something. She was wearing a fur coat that kept getting fuzz on my wet nails- didnt take it off. I would say your experience will depend on who does your nails there bc not all staff do a good job.

My go-to spa choice, even though its almost a half hour commute. The ladies are always so friendly and they do an excellent job with manis/pedis. Place is clean and they clearly care about the customers. Couldnt recommend this place enough.

The best nail place Ive ever been to in my entire life. The best nail technician there is Tracy. She even puts on lotions and massages your hands when shes all done.. even for fake nails. Pretty good prices.1 hr And theres a Starbucks nearby.

A great first visit. They were absolutely packed from a large party the hour before my reservation, and the staff was working very hard to ensure all clients were properly served. Clean, nice, and efficient.

Service was horrible. I came in for a spa pedicure ($50) and they didn’t even file away the calluses on my foot... walking away from a pedicure with calluses still on my feet is unacceptable and I’ll never go back here again. Not to mention the employees were talking so loudly and blasting something on their phone the entire time I was there. I came for a relaxing experience and I didn’t get that.

Never Again!!!! I came in around noon, and was stared at for a minute like I shouldnt be there, it was really awkward, so the lady comes up to me, and asked me what i need, I told her i needed my eyebrows cleaned up, I also wasnt offered anything to drink, so she takes me to this back room, where they keep everything from water to soda they sell in the salon and puts a blanket on the massage table, I look at her like um, is there any plastic? so she says o sorry and goes to grab the plastic to put on the table, I definitely wasnt about to lay on a bare blanket ! so shes doing my eyebrows, and telling me how good they look I look in the mirror, after shes done and still see stubble, so I ask her to clean it up! she complained of my eyebrows being to course and that she couldnt get the hair, I have been other places in the DMV area that never had an issue with getting all the extra hair i wanted cleaned up on my brows. I dont live in Arlington and went here based off the reviews which was a bust! I will not be visiting this place again due to BAD customer service, and Terrible service......

I cannot believe how unprofessional this people are I walked in there were three ladies sitting and one of them On the back and the guy was outside there was only one customer I walked in and I stand there for five minutes nobody look at me nobody say hi to me they don’t ask me if I need help nothing I stood there and I left nobody acknowledge that I was there it’s so sad I called before

Today I had my second manicure and under arm wax service at Acqua Nails salon. The staff is no-nonsense and I was satisfied. Im a gal who prefers efficient, non-pretentious places that charge reasonable prices.

You cant get more convenient. Its so easy to pop in here while youre shopping around in Clarendon. Their prices are great, and they always accommodate walk-ins. Its small in there and feels a little crammed, but its not a deal breaker.

Ive been going to Aqua Nails since I moved to Virginia 7 years ago. Ive always gotten excellent service here so never felt the need to look further. Lilly has been my manicurist almost all that time and she is the BEST! She remembers exactly how I like my mani/pedis and her color suggestions are spot-on. While everyone at Aqua Nails is friendly and kind, Lilly is my #1.

Im going to start by saying I love my nails, but I did not enjoy the overall experience. The staff there is a little off putting. They seem to be trying to rush you out the door. I had SNS done which was $55, but the nail tech that I went to didnt even want to take the time to soak my nails off. For $55 I think I shouldve received the full treatment. Instead of soaking she tried to peel my existing polish off leaving my nails broken and every low to the skin. Overall my nails are pretty, but I will not be returning to this salon

Repeatedly tried to upsale even though my friend and I politely let them know we werent interested. When we chose cheaper options didnt receive great customer service. They tried to change $5 for my friend requesting her nails be filed in a specific shape. Pedicure only came with a one handed massage on one calf. We found a special on their website and they argued about price with us for about 3 minutes and then tried to insist we pay together. Continued arguing until we left. Quality of nail painting job was subpar. Will not be returning.

Great spot for a signature mani pedi. Acqua has the best nail tech and great customer service. Just be sure to book an appointment.. Acqua is always on demand! We will be back. The main pedi was done elegantly and !y eyebrows were done gorgeously,quickly and painlessly. We love this place Acqua Nails.

DO NOT USE THEIR ATM! Fraud! They only take cash tips and tell you that they have an atm in the backroom, and there must be a camera facing the atm because they knew my pin and tried withdrawing $400 from my account.

I like how my nails turnout after getting them done here but they always charge me more than the listed price. I have the pamphlet they give out and I noticed the price for a fill in was like 6$ cheaper than what she told me. Very dishonest. Every time I get my nails done here it’s a different price. I don’t like that.
