I called a week in advance and scheduled the appointment for my husband and my son. Of course, we are excited because we are originally from NY and miss the style there. My husband went in today and had to wait 30-45 mins for his appointment. He got there 2 mins late. He sent me a picture of what the barber did (please see photo attached). His hairline is a complete mess. He called me and told me he was going to ask the barber to fix it and I told him not to because of fear that it would get even worse. This is the first time in this barbershop. Extremely disappointing.

I love this place now let me tell you how the men here...let me say that again the MEN here are so respectful and kind. One customer got up to give me a seat I have two little boys and the one barber was playing music with profanity in it and when I asked to turn it off my gosh the barber did and they are all respectful here. I was visiting from Columbia, SC, for the Cowboys vs Eagles game. I found New York on Google. I left a message, and we scheduled an appointment, about 2 months out. I was very skeptical about getting my haircut by a barber that I didnt know, however, I was completely satisfied with his work. I was comfortable, he took his time, and he was very detailed oriented in his work! Check my man New York out, if youre ever in town for a Cowboys game, or if you live in the DFW area. You cant go wrong!!!

This shop is appointments based but they do occasionally except walk ins. It is a very professional environment. I would recommend this place to others.

I have been coming to this shop for years. I travel over 30 miles. Not only is New York Stylez Arlingtons Best Kept Secret but also DFWs Best Kept Secret. Ive seen the clientele change dramatically. All races and all hair textures. First, I slowly started seeing more Hispanics coming in but now more Asians and Caucasians. A true multicultural salon, New York Stylez is obviously doing something RIGHT! Though I tend to stick to the same stylist but all the stylists are highly skilled as I watch during my appointment. The owner, who goes by New York, picks great professionally skilled barbers to keep all clients satisfied and looking their best. Dont just limit yourself to a haircut. They have a variety of extensive grooming packages and techniques/applications to help you with any concerns you may have regarding your look. New York Stylez is appointment based but dont hesitate to walk in. They will take care of you!

They can cut hair really well and all of the barbers are professional and nice people but the problem is that they do not have enough barbers. They seriously only have 4 barbers but it gets worse bc 2 of the barbers always come in late or aren’t even there. Not only that but the main 2 barbers that do be there are always booked up for the whole day so even if you call to set an appointment chances are you are going to have to wait for a couple days. There has been so many times I go up there and leave without even getting a hair cut. So many hours wasted it’s not worth it. (Plus the 2 barbers that do show up charge $40 for a haircut and beard trim... kind of expensive in my opinion but that’s just me)

New York Stylez is well organized and clean barbershop with great barbers. Based on appointments, but also taking walk in costumers. Being there I couldnt avoid noticing how great they were at handling kids and always taking care of every costumer by making sure both the client and the barber itself were happy with the barber’s work. Overall an amazing place with great customer service and friendly barbers.

Love this shop.I have been taking my boys there for about 3 years now. Very friendly atmosphere and professional. However i took my boys there tonight where i normally pay 30 for the both of them (kids) tonight i paid 40. Not understanding where the price difference came from. Ive always paid the same barber the same thing. Im not normally one to complain but this threw me for a loop! I guess the issue here is this is not the first time this happened here! Wish I had known ahead of time!

NY Styles is by far the most professional barbershop in the area. Hands down. Ive been getting my hair cut from New York for almost 20 years. My son is 11 and has been getting cut at NY Styles since age 1 (now a generational thing). Reliable, fast, and the environment and location are optimal! I’ve lived in several states, even in New York and I have yet to find a barber as good as New York the barber and his staff.They are very professional and the atmosphere of the shop has a relaxing and welcoming vibe for all customers, plus their staff is always able to cut the latest and best styles for every customer . I drive 40 minutes to get my hair styled at New York Stylez. As a transplant to Texas I had difficulties locating a quality salon with top notch styling skills and additional services I was use to getting in the Northeast Tri-State. I was referred to New York Stylez and my quest ended here. All barbers have up to date barbering and styling techniques & services. I was very surprised to hear they are an international type salon servicing and specializing in all types of hair composition. I have been referring all my friends of all types of hair, Black, Arabic, Hispanic, Asian, White, everyone to this salon. Each one has thank me. A very professional salon environment, knowledgeable in hair care and on time as this is mostly an appointment based shop. They will take walk-ins but I suggest you call ahead. Bonus, they even give you a massage! You will be very satisfied in your appearance and ready to take on the world with a new feel good uplifting attitude.

Very clean! I would have given 5 stars but while I was there with my young son and nephews, the TV was on Revolt and some half naked girls were on a video. My 4year old nephew was very intrigued LOL. He said he saw a booty but on the TV! Other than that it was a good experience. Barbers are very friendly and professional! They accommodate some walk ins but make an appointment so you can be sure you are not looked over!

Went into this place and got cut by the guy NY I asked for the South of France cut and he gave me the South of Maine with a gumby cut. No seriously NY has been my barber for years since I was in high school. Followed this guy to his own shop. On their website it says $10 Wednesdays for first time customers walk ins only,, I came in thinking my cut is gonna be $10 since Im new to the area ..I walked in told them I had no appointment & its my first time,, the owner with glasses & cornrows is a really cool dude!! Super friendly!, but whoever the other dude was that cut my hair.....let me say this,, youre better off going somewhere else ..all I asked for was a #2 buzz cut ..this dudes clippers pulled most of my hair!! then he kept walking away for a couple of mins in the middle of cutting my hair.. then he left patch on my head & I asked him you gonna cut that patch? So he went over JUST THE PATCH twice not even going against the grain,, after that I got up & he said $20,, thats when I brought up the $10 Wednesdays new customer deal!!??,, he said no cuz he had to go over my head twice..when all he did was knock out a small patch on my temple... I paid the $20 & left with long hairs around my ears & forehead..i wish he took the time for details on my head..I expected a fun experience .. completely the opposite..✌️
