I recently had highlights with Lona. I asked for blonde highlights (see the picture below) and I got gray highlights. I had to go back to the salon to have another stylist fix the color. If youre looking for a salon in the area try Jon David. It will cost about $100 more but they are much more professional.

I really enjoyed my haircut and the service l got here. I walked in and they took me right away. I have VERY thick hair and it’s very hard to manage; however, I got it thinned well and it looks incredible. Definitely going back!

I have been trying to find a great salon since l moved to the area a year ago. I tried multiple different places but nothing ever seemed to amaze me. I had my cut and color and l could not be happier with the service and with how my hair came out. This place is super cute.

Lona was the best hair stylist i’ve ever met. She is very genuine and kind and she doesn’t make you feel awkward but rather makes the whole session feel warm and cared. Will always come to her from now on^^

They did a fantastic job. I reserved a time online but got there much earlier than expected and they were able to accommodate. I got a pedi and a mani. I’ve never had the paint job on my toes look so great, she paid really great attention to my feet. It was my first time getting the powder done for my nails. So far I’m really pleased!

My husband went in for a trim. The hair stylist wasn’t professional. Was slow and took a lot of time. Also, edges weren’t sharp, hair looked unkempt. She didn’t give an after cut shampoo too, unless told. Very bad experience. Will never go again.

Voula worked a freaking MIRACLE on this challenging COVID mess. She turned this girl from a Sasquatch to a superstar! Super professional, listened to all my desires and delivered an absolutely gorgeous do! Everyone wears masks and is well-spaced out. I felt very safe in the environment. Voula let me apologize AGAIN for coming in and saying I want this, this, this, this, and this and in two hours, GO! Im already looking forward to my next haircut! The blowout doesnt even last until you get to your dinner restaurant. I paid 75$ for blowout with ironwork and all the curls were flattened out 3 hours later by the time I got to the dinner. Felt like I wasted my money and time here.

I need to say this... days ago I went to Miracle for a full highlights, but that day wasn’t my Lucy day and I ended up leaving with a highlights that I didn’t like it, wasn’t what I was expecting. I called them to tell that I needed to fix it or get my money back, so today I came back to fix it and I got Nicko, and I have to say, HE IS THE BEST, I showed him the exactly color I wanted for my highlights and he nailed it. I really loved it, Niko is very professional, he not only gave me a great highlights but also blow-dried my hair very good and very carefully. I truly recommend.

This is a great salon! I have been coming here for a few years and Nikos has always done a fabulous job and the best haircuts and color I’ve ever had! The salon is very spacious and comfortable as well. I’ll continue to travel back even when I don’t live as close as when I first started going here!

This is the first time I booked an appointment at Miracles and I couldnt have been happier. Voula cut both my hair as well as my husbands. Both of us had very different needs and she was amazing.My hair is very long (below my waist) and very thick. I am pretty particular about my hair and have a tough time finding hairstylists I love! Voula was patient, friendly, and an amazing professional. She gave me exactly what I asked for — long layers, curtain bangs, and a beautiful wavy blow-dry. I havent gotten a haircut in over a year because of the pandemic so my hair had lots of split-ends and dryness despite at-home hair care but after Voulas magic touch, my hair looks so healthy and all the roughness is gone! She took off a little more than what we originally thought would be needed but I completely trust her judgment because she knew what was best for my hair to be healthy.My husband is also pretty particular — he likes non-trendy, traditional haircuts and was very happy with his short and sharp haircut.The entire process — booking an appointment online, getting services promptly as soon as we came in, and the general welcoming vibe of the staff was so nice. The people here are so warm and friendly! This is my go to salon in the DC area and even when I’ve moved around over the years I always make a point to get my hair done when I’m back and have the time because they do such a great job. I used to always go to Maria or Voula but after a few appointments with other folks due to more convenient scheduling, I quickly learned that I can happily get my hair cut by anyone here and it will be great. The price point is very reasonable for a woman in the DC area and you honestly just can’t beat their hospitality. They are happy to accommodate you and if someone is going out to get something they always ask if you need anything just to be nice. At some salons you are ignored by everyone except the person you are seeing but here everyone is welcoming. I usually just get my hair cut but I hired them for my wedding and they also did a great job with makeup and styling! I also like how they’ll always honestly share their perspective when I consider a new look. Keep up the good work guys!

Ive been going here for about 7 years now! Rays amazing and does an A+ pixie cut. Marias great too, I think Ive only worked with the two of them.I like that you can book online, too--theyre pretty prompt about answering and confirming appointment times reliably. Priced reasonably for the DC area, too.One thing: theres no way to tip via card, or at least there wasnt last time I checked. I just pay in cash now.

Nick was the most friendly and the most attentive. Its one of the best highlights Ive had in a long time. Not too much color and very natural looking just like I wanted.

I have been to Miracles 3 times so far, and I have received 3 great haircuts from them. Ive been looking for a really long time to find a salon that can deliver consistently, and I feel like Ive finally found it.George is my man. I used to struggle with describing how I like my hair, but he has been effective in soliciting the right questions to derive the results I want. He has also provided some great stylistic ideas. I moved to the Arlington area a few months ago and had a terrible experience with a hairstylist when I got my first haircut up here, so I was very nervous going to a new salon. I chose Miracles because of the location and great reviews, and it turned out wonderfully. Elie cut and highlighted my hair and I absolutely love it. Very cool atmosphere and very personable stylists. I highly recommend Elie (he has 10+ years of experience) and the salon in general! I will definitely be going back.

Friendly welcome, very casual. Good highlights technique but shampooing (performed by a different person) could have been better: second shampoo, scrubbing, massaging the conditionner was missing. And the washing machine was on, very noisy. In the end, nice cut and style.

Voula is an excellent colorist. We’ve gone in several different directions over the years. I can only tell her generally what I want, but she asks the right questions, helps me figure out what will look good, and nails it every time.

Had michael, not a good cut he did not listen to me. I asked for some simple layers and even showed him a picture. Pretended to know what he was talking about and then proceeded to cut my hair completely straight... Will not come here again.

Voula and Niko are the hair stylists that youve been looking for in the DC area. Voula knocks it out of the park with my cut and color every time. I have long, thicker hair and her knowledge of how my hair will look with highlights and toner, and how it can best be styled is always accurate. Her expertise proves itself with how much easier my hair is to dry and style at home after each appointment. Niko cuts my husband and brother in laws hair and without him, theyd be chia pets! His style of cutting hair is classic, sharp, and clean. You cannot go wrong with Voula and Niko!

I had two bad experiences here. The first time I came here, I waited 20 minutes and the guy who was supposed to cut my hair never showed up. Someone else (the owner I think?) ended up doing it and the results were ok. She was friendly, and I dont have much bad to say about her.I decided to come back, and again, the person who was supposed to cut my hair showed up at the salon 10 minutes after my appointment time. He rushed through my haircut and made a rude comment as I was leaving. I was not happy with the results.

I got my 12 month old son’s first haircut done here. I messed up his hair by cutting it on my own so I went to Miracles immediately to do some damage control. They were very accommodating and gave me the earliest appointment. The hairstylist Lona was so patient with him. She engaged with him from the start and he was responding to her positively. I gave him a lollipop and Lona entertained him throughout the hair cut. She did a pretty good job considering the damage I had done to his hair. Will be visiting here again for his future hair cuts.

It was my first time going to Miracles but Ill definitely be going back! The stylist listened to exactly what I wanted, and did a fantastic job. Make sure to bring cash! They dont put gratuity on cards.

This is an open, airy, bright shop, pleasant to be in. Ray cuts my hair; hes fantastic. Price is about what Ive come to expect in the DMV area. This is a good place.

I believe that Olympia is not a fair good faith dealer. I bought a groupon and she canceled my appointment every time it was scheduled. The second time, I had organized my whole day around the appointment including not washing my hair after working out at the gym - and she canceled three hours before the appointment - (but after my shower) and wouldnt reschedule me for the next day - but rather for five days later in the middle of my Saturday. I said no thanks and finally decided to request a refund for the groupon. I dont think shes an honest dealer.

Came in here today with jet black hair. Came out golden brown lowlights and a touch of blonde to offset the darkness I had. Ray was on point with it today. Not much talking when on but I kinda needed to decompress after the week I had. The color turned out perfect. I love my hair. Im no longer a frumpy soccer mom in my mini van but a mom with a few step kids and a cute new do. thanks Ray!

I walked in knowing exactly what I wanted and was told it would cost me around $300 to get it and that it was “not worth” it. Against my better judgment I allowed the stylist Michael to take over. After 3 hours of tugging and pulling to the point my scalp was screaming (I tend to not be affected by pain so this must have been a lot) I was charge around $300 for my original hair color. He did an all over color of my roots which I think did not need to be done since my hair was not colored. Then added highlights which I wasn’t even allowed to see before he added another color to cover them up. I paid $300 for the hair I already had and not what I wanted. Never again.

I came to the place only to find out that the hair stylist that I had the appointment with didnt show up. They didnt call me neither offer to have someone else do my hair. Unacceptable!

To be honest, this wasn’t the best experience. I feel like my layers have not been blended in at all. I tried to explain that my hair is curly and needs blended layers and I feel like that’s been ignored. During the cut I wasn’t informed of how much was being taken off (something I see as common courtesy), my cut was not done taking my side parting into consideration and by head was moved into position with considerable force and without any apology (sorry if any of these things are normal, they aren’t to a British person!)As for the finish..... I was shocked when steam was coming off the cheap looking straighteners (implying irons being used on damp hair!!) and I could hear them ripping my hair at the ends. I’ve come out feeling like the cut is too blunt and I’ve had to book another appointment with my stylist in the UK to fix this when I finally get to go home!I’m used to a trip to the salon being a relaxing treat, this was stressful from start to finish.

Im not really sure what to say about this place -- I wonder if maybe I visited on a bad day, since all of the other reviews are so glowing. Ill start off with the cons, and end with the pros. And, at the outset, Ill note that my cons are totally customer specific, and might not be problems for anyone else.CONS:- When I walked in, there was LOUD techno/dance music playing, no other customers in the store, and all the stylists just sort of sitting around doing nothing. The music was super annoying because I like to relax while I get my hair done, and just couldnt with the loud music (sometimes with vulgar lyrics).- While I was getting my hair done, the stylists that werent working were loud, sometimes yelling at each other -- it seemed kind of unprofessional- My stylist didnt inspire a lot of confidence. While the final product (as I note below) was quite good, he just didnt seem highly capable. He kept on coming over trying to match my hair to a color chart, and when he did the highlights, it didnt seem like hed done a lot... he just wasnt smooth, and as a result, it took longer and kind of hurt my hair because he was pulling so much. Same thing when he took the foils out -- just pulled so hard on them, I actually winced a few times.- the salon is a little dingy/dirty, and the guy in charge (I think I heard him say hes the owners son) would just take a blow dryer and blow the hair on the floor into the center of the salon after each haircut, and then leave it for the hair washer to sweep up. a few times, he blew the hair directly under me, and it got on my purse, and was still there when i left, which I thought was kind of gross.- the blow dry I received was not the best. First of all, it hurt. Second of all, my stylist (I think his name was Hal) piled on a lot of product at the end, which I dont like. (Not a big deal since obviously this washes out immediately, and I didnt say I dont like hairspray).Im not sure if all of these cons exist all the time. They did mention that the owner and most of her family were in Greece until September, so I dont know if they relaxed the rules of the salon for themselves while she was gone.- My hair did not turn out how I asked. I said I wanted blonde highlights and a layered cut with slight angling at the chin. I got blondish and red highlights, and no angling of the hair.- There wasnt much of a consultation. My stylist didnt suggest options or ideas, which, while not major, kinda bummed me out.- I found it kind of weird that there were employees having wine/beer while I was there. They offered me some (after asking if I was driving) which I guess was nice, but I dont know. Im sort of a little more straight laced and found it unprofessional.PROS:- My hair looks good. Even though its not what I asked for, the color is really pretty and natural looking on me, and the cut is well done. On final product alone, Id have to say, I would go back.- The prices are insane. $130 for a haircut and what Id consider a VERY generous partial highlight is an abnormally low price for this area.- the location is great. 2 1/2 blocks from Rosslyn metro.- the online booking is a nice feature, and they were quick to confirm.- they seem pretty flexible. A few walk-ins came while I was there, and they did do a lot to accommodate them, which was really nice.- The staff is really friendly.I probably wont go back, because this isnt the only place I can get a good cut/color, and I dont mind paying a little extra for better ambiance. If you dont care about the details I noted above in the CONS section, then Id recommend this place. For the price, you cannot find a better final product, even if the time spent getting your hair done is less than enjoyable.

I asked Michael for a trim with long layers, nothing crazy, just an easy style for my somewhat thick hair. I walked out with a bob and absolutely no layers. I was willing to forgo the fact that the cut was about 2-3 inches shorter than what I asked for, but I am livid that I pointed out that there were no layers once it was almost dry and made it clear it will poof the heck out if he didnt fix it, and his response was oh sweetie! there are layers, you just cant see them! I havent tried the other stylists and have no interest to, but if you have thick hair, ask for anyone but Michael. He has no idea what hes doing. I hate the cut, and im going to have to get it fixed over the next few weeks so it doesnt look awful. What a waste of time and money.

I have been growing my hair (bangs) out for months and when I went in I asked for long layers, to take off as little length as possible, and to blend in my bangs. Instead I got BANGS again and blunt layers. Im so unhappy I could cry.

Also they They have a good price according to the color you want ...
