I came here to get my beard trimmed before my wedding proposal. I was greeted by Hayah when I arrived. The store is very clean. But let me tell you about time beard trim! I didn’t know a beard trim could be so precise, so thorough, so amazing. I was expecting a 10 minute beard trim and Hayah spent an hour essentially trimming my beard with the artistic vision of a Picasso. I got a lot of compliments from my significant other and others that evening. Seeing how amazing the beard trim was I will definitely be back here again as well as for a haircut.

First coming in I thought the price was a little steep but damn - youre not just paying for a haircut youre paying for an experience. They use nothing but the best products and will take care of you. The quality of my cut, beard line up and trim is the best Ive ever had. Fabian is your man to go to, 20/10 highly recommend this place

Have never had a bad experience. It took me two years of living here to find a barber shop that I would reliably go back to and this is it. Everyone there is fantastic, and the haircut is always great. They also carry products from upscale brands that you usually have to go online to find. Definitely recommend.

This is a great mens grooming place. Prices are similar or slightly lower than nearby grooming places, but they put in more effort and are much friendlier than others. They also have general grooming tools/products for shaving, skin, beard, and hair.

I didnt want to leave this review, but he really messed up my hair. I have really long hair in the front, and he just snipped over half of my widows peak off. ALL the rest of my hair in the front is very long and gets swooped over to my left side, but now I have a very short widows peak which points straight out :(Very disappointed in the cut and even more in the service because I paid for full service and he rushed me out of the shop by saying Im sure you need to leave, so we wont do the shampoo. Honestly worst experience Ive had at a barber. You may have a great experience, but I did not.

I am from out of town, was walking by and just walked in because the location looked cool. Got back quickly. Barber was very personal and did a great job. Hair cut and beard trim was one of the best I have ever had. He really took his time and did it right. Treat yourself.

Legit the best haircut I have ever gotten. They are very professional and my hair and beard look so clean.

Once again, I had another great experience at the Grooming Store. From the greeting when you walk in, the libations and throughout the haircut....you never feel like a stranger. I go to Nick and he keeps me straight. He sees things that I dont and I trust him to get me right every time.

Best in the business. Second location of a clearly prestigious barber covering everything from skin fades to beards. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff. Haircuts and beard products are far more affordable than I was expecting for such a high class spot. Officially my new barber!

So very pleased with my experience here - lots of positive things to say about the shop, atmosphere, friendly service, value, etc. But mostly what will bring me back as a regular was the top notch results and enthusiasm of my Barber Stylist, Hayah. He clearly loves his work, and he does it so very well. I have been looking for a regular barber for 3 years and finally found Hayah at The Grooming Store - the best razor fade and beard trim I have had, bar none. Highly recommended.

This is the place to go if you want your beard to look sharp. Only other place I trust is Khalids. Was able to walk in without an appointment and had Francis cut my hair. He knows exactly what he is doing and checked in with me to make sure I liked it before moving on to other areas. The lines on my beard were great and I’m very happy with the fade.

Nice modern spot in Ballston. Nicks a magician with the scissors. His attention to detail and time he spends really show in the cuts.

Francis gave me a great cut and shave. He was exceptionally friendly, personable, and skilled. The entire shop was clean and comfortable and the rest of the staff was friendly and smiling.

Amazing! Rita did an excellent job. They were extremely kind, offering me water and chatting with me while I waited for my turn. Rita really knows her stuff - giving me exactly what I wanted. They have a lot of great options and products (I wish I had a cool beard so they could cut that too! Lol) Gentlemen, if you’re looking for a barber in the area - this is the place!

Best Barbershop in the DMV!

The grooming store is a nice spot in the Ballston mall. Right when I got there, the front desk acknowledged me, made some friendly small talk, and got me an appointment in about 15 minutes. They brought me some water while i waited since it was pretty hot outside that day. My barber was Nick. Nick was a good conversationalist, friendly, professional, and efficient. I thought the price was fair for what I had done. Afterward, they talked about a couple products I might be interested in for dry scalp, but weren’t too pushy. I would definitely recommend the grooming store if you’re looking for hair or beard products, or just need to get a haircut. Apparently if you go on Wednesday, they may give you some free whiskey too.

I think I found the one. This store is inside the Ballston Mall on the 2nd floor. Obviously, yall know they done turnt this mall completely out. Everything has changed----huge upgrade. Pretty soon, they will have fixed the bridge walkway (for rain). This Grooming store is clean and welcoming: Two things that I want and hope for... Also, the wash was great. A lot of times, with other places, I get a cut and the water is freezing cold; personally I like it hot... because Im daddy like that. Donc, the shave was great, the conversation was great, and I really like the location. Today it was raining, so youre still inside, but its an open roof---fresh air, but covered walkway. The lady tending to customers was beautiful, professional, and very welcoming. I did not feel like my melanin was inferential to my bank account. 👀
