Wow - what a great experience. Not only was the price reasonable, Kim showed me how to replace my own humidifier filter and had me practice so that he wouldnt have to charge me for him to do it! Kim did a fantastic job working with our home warranty provider and keeping me in the loop on next steps. Entire process took 4 days to have air up and running and that included a weekend (when warranty authorization department doesn’t work). I highly recommend Kim for AC repairs!

When my mother’s AC system stopped working, her home warranty program dispatched Tek7 to come out to do an inspection and make recommendations. The guy who came out was very unprofessional and gave his recommendation and number to my mother in a way that implied he wanted her to go ahead with the service privately directly through him as opposed to with the warranty program. It was all very strange. He didn’t write up any estimate nor update the results of his inspection so that it was relayed to the warranty program. I found this to be true when I called back later to check the status. The second company that our warranty program dispatched inspected the outside unit and was puzzled when they saw how it was left. The guy who came out left everything unplugged and in a mess. He took photos. It was all very strange and unprofessional, and now my mother is having to wait several more weeks to get her AC system repaired in the heat of summer.

Highly recommend. Scheduling was easy. Technician was on time, professional, and quickly diagnosed the problem with my underperforming condenser coil. After testing the freon levels, he thoroughly cleaned the unit - there was immediate improvement in performance. He showed me how to clean the unit myself and explained how to landscape around the coil to prevent future problems (as opposed to other companies who just say call back in a year so we can charge you again to clean it again).Price was fantastic. Very easy to schedule and communicate with. Was willing to squeeze us in at the end of a busy day to make sure we did not have any problems just before an anticipated stretch of hot weather. Appreciated how he talked through the problem and gave us several options. Also showed me maintenance tips I could do myself that will help avoid future problems. Kim came out the same Saturday morning I called, diagnosed the problem within 3 minutes, and fixed it within half an hour. Also gave me an impartial assessment of an issue with my humidifier, and recommended that I ask the company that installed it to come fix the problem free of charge. Called TEK7 on Sunday around 6pm (July 4th weekend) because our AC gave out. He answered the phone right away and said he had a couple jobs to finish but would come that evening if he could. He showed up around 8:30pm, determined the capacitor went out, replaced the capacitor, checked the freon level, all the while explaining to me that he was doing and answering my questions about HVAC maintaintence. He was able to retore our AC within half an hour. Super impressed and happy with the professional job and reasonable price. Will definitely use him again.

Our air conditioning stopped working yesterday and was pretty worried I wouldn’t get it fixed in a timely fashion at 38 weeks pregnant! After submitting a request for service late in the evening, Kim called me promptly the next day, came to my house at the scheduled time (surprisingly hard to find), and resolved the issue in a fair and effective way. Mr. Lim arrived about 15 min after I contacted him, and went straight to work. I had done some troubleshooting on my own, and was pretty sure I needed one or more repair parts, but he kept searching for the real root cause of my problem, and eventually discovered a bad ground connection. I listened my home for sale. The buyer brought Kim ( technician)to check my Ac unit. He wrote a report my unit is 34 years old and have a refrigerant leak. He didn’t know I’m a masters license Hvac technician. I’m a service supervisor for a reputable hvac company. According to the serial number my unit is 23 years old not 34 yeas old.Every unit have a serial number check the age of the unit.I haven’t add any refrigerant to the system for years.The AC is working great. The reason I’m writing this review to protect the home owners from these Contractors. The home owners believe what professionals recommendations. I’ m very disappointed to have contractors like this in the Hvac industry.

And it would’ve been hard to find as the service call was in the weekend. Kim went the extra mile to track the part down. Tek7 has been the contractor assigned to us on several repairs through our home warranty and has always been super responsive and quick to fix our furnace. He came to our rescue again today after the home warranty company had assigned us a different contractor who was awful and constantly delaying getting our heat back on after over a week of no heat. The technician Kim Lim, was very knowledgeable and friendly. He was able to diagnose and fix a wiring problem in my HVAC. So not only do I have AC for the summer but now my backup electric heat will work in the winter. Last winter the HVAC was using the heat-pump alone.

Kim with TEK7 Heating and A/C is by far the best, most professional company we have dealt with when it comes to our home warranty repairs. We recently had an A/C issue, and the home warranty company scheduled us with Sears’ A/C folks the next day. The Sears people ended up not showing up and cancelling on us when we called to check on it, so we got in touch with TEK7 and even though he had numerous other jobs scheduled that day, he ended up making time to come by and fixed our A/C. Couldn’t ask for better service, and honest advice, so you know what you’re dealing with; not just recommending unnecessary work or maintenance your unit doesn’t need! If you need A/C work or maintenance in the Northern Va area, TEK7 is hands down the way to go.

Our AC unit stopped working so we called TEK7 late on a Friday night hoping someone could fix our unit ASAP since it was going to be a HOT weekend. Kim said he could be at our house by Noon Saturday. Control board on Forced Air NG furnace burned out at 6:30 AM, called at 7:30, by 10:30 onsite at our house, less than an hour had the issued diagnosed, old board removed, and new one installed. Kim did not try to up-sell service, parts, etc, and the work was cleanly installed. Very professional, tidy, and courteous.
