As a retired Navy person, I believe strongly in Preventive Maintenance! So this was an annual check included in my Sears Master Protection agreement...one of the only such I find with preventative maintenance included. The check was performed thoroughly and professionally.

Service people were great. Sears wanted to charge me $700+ for $200. cost of parts. Easier to purchase a non-sears stove with a warranty.

Tech was very helpful, he arrived at my house on time and had my lawn tractor running again in no time. Gave me a few pointers on how to keep my 25 yr old lawn tractor running for a long time to come. Thank you!

The repairman carefully explained why a leak caused by the failure of a rubber gasket in a three year old Sears Kenmore Elite model 12793 dishwasher would cost $640 to repair. For that price I can buy a brand new (and more highly rated an reliable) Bosch dishwasher. I greatly appreciated his candor.

DO NOT EVER CALL THIS COMPANY FOR ANY WORK!!! Upon reviewing my deceased father-in-laws HVAC records, a senior citizen at the time and a minority, these unprincipled, unethical, immoral and prejudiced pure fetid human garbage technicians charged him half a day of labor and triple the amount for an ac coil that was still covered fully for 2 more years under the manufacturers warranty.

Sears technician Mohammad came to our home to diagnose the dishwasher. He sat out and n his vehicle go close to 20 minutes before coming in. Once he can inside; he asked what the issue is with the machine.I described to him, the water keeps coming in the machine and keeps draining out at the same time.He asked me to turn the breaker on to test. Once the power to the dishwasher was turned on; he sat in front of the machine and pushed the cycle button and the cancel button multiple times for 4 and a half minutes. Then he gets up, looks on his phone and tells me he has a price for repairs and it is $700+ odd dollars and a new dishwasher will be a little less than repairs. When I asked, what is the diagnosis, he didn’t seem like my question. His response was, your touch panel is not working and your control board is not working and your water inlet valve is not working. All this without opening the machine.I very much appreciate the competence of a tech, who is able to diagnose, all the parts, that are not working without ever looking at them. However, I’ve had 2 of the 3 parts replaced, before he came over. So, according to him, even the new parts in the machine are not good.I asked him if replacing those parts will solve the issue. The response I got is, if that doesn’t solve the problem, then he’ll check, what else could be wrong. At this point, I just wanted him out of the home, before things get heated. Now I wonder, why sears is going under with their great service. Finally I’m not allowed to give less than 1 star for the rip off they are running.I’m in the restoration business. If we ran our business they do, we’d be out of business a long time ago

Im writing to share my familys terrible ongoing experience with Sears home repair services. Sears has failed to repair our refrigerator for over 3 months. It has been a nightmare for myself, my husband, and our 4 year old autistic son. Im desperate for help to get Sears to make this right. We loved our LG refrigerator we got from Sears less than 2 years ago until it stopped cooling in June 2018. I was told the earliest repair appointment with Sears would be 7/8/18 so we booked the appointment. The technician who came to check out the fridge told us the linear compressor needed to be replaced; the part was under warranty, however, we still had to pay $419 upfront for the labor to repair it.The next technician who came to our house to attempt the first repair began to look panicked, talking on the phone and running back and forth to his truck during the appointment. He claimed the control board needed to be replaced on our type of fridge with this repair (which is not accurate, per LG) and we had to wait for more parts to be delivered. We found out later, from a different Sears technician, that the technician who attempted the first repair actually damaged and broke our refrigerator while attempting to make the initial repair. It has been over 3 months since and Sears has repeatedly failed to repair our refrigerator and they refuse to replace it.Sears customer service has been absolutely terrible. Ive spent many, many hours on the phone with customer service, Ive been transferred around, ignored, hung up on, and misled by customer service representatives.Sears technicians have attempted the repair multiple times and weve had about 10 appointments because of repeated mistakes made by Sears (the wrong parts were ordered multiple times and one occasion they didnt have enough technicians to do our repair). Sears refuses to just replace it because our refrigerator is expensive (about $2,800) and we dont have an extended warranty. We finally paid $125 for an LG technician to come look at the refrigerator last month. The LG technician indicated there were clear signs of damage to our unit from the Sears technicians. He also told us that LG can not attempt to repair the refrigerator because Sears is legally responsible to fix it (were glad we didnt accept the refund Sears kept trying to offer us to get themselves off the hook). We then opened a claim for the property damage with Sedgewick Claims Management Services but after 3 weeks with an open claim, its been nearly impossible to reach the team handling our claim and they still havent began investigating like they ensured us they would. This process has been frustrating, time consuming, stressful, and expensive. We had to go buy a mini-fridge ($130) and a cooler ($50) to be able to keep some food in the house. Weve had to throw away the entire contents of our fridge twice, weve spent a lot of money having to go out to eat, and regularly buying bags of ice.Our next appointment with Sears is on 10/1/18 but the last technician that came out indicated that he isnt confident that it can be fixed. This ongoing repair is causing my family to suffer, especially our autistic 4 year old! We feel powerless to get Sears to make this right and we are desperate for help.Thank you for taking the time to read this. Please help share our story.

They will lie to you on the phone and then you are stuck paying when the tech is at your house with the repair done. I had a diagnostic done and was told by two different people that if I declined it and later changed my mind there wouldnt be a second diagnostic fee. With that in mind, I declined the service and saved $80 on the required part by ordering it myself. As you may have guessed, they charged the diagnostic fee again when the tech came back, despite my having the part in hand and an exact description of what needed to be done. For the record: the technicians were great. Thus the second star. It was just the customer service people on the phone and chat were slow and liars. I wont go through this company again because I cant be sure what they will end up charging.

Excellent service . The ice and water dispenser was stuck from time to time on our Kenmore Elite, on Dec 16 . The service man explained to us how the slashed sugary liquid interfered with the lever function then cleaned it, and with good result.5 stars for the service and for the preventive advice from a very knowledgeable and well mannered gentleman.HVH

Update: I think it’s important to acknowledge that Sears was able to resolve this issue for me by refunding my money. While I am disappointed that these events happened, I do appreciate that Sears was accountable for their actions and made it right.1) Rescheduling an October 18 appointment from 8am-12pm to 2pm-3pm without confirming with me2) Telling my fiancé on October 18 that there is nothing that can be done about the inconvenience of the rescheduling (ie: at least providing an ETA) and that he should not leave the house - after he told them he needed to leave for the train station by 3pm and that time wouldnt work3) The repair technician on October 18 asking where the dryer was (after having completed a repair on a washer/dryer combined unit), thereby demonstrating that he did not know what the appliance was that he was repairing4) The repair technician installing a new hose improperly on October 18, rendering my washer/dryer unit, dishwasher, and sink useless5) Being told at 4:50pm on November 8 that I was still on the service technicians route for a 12pm-5pm service window, and that Dispatch would call me with an ETA, then never being contacted.6) Being told at approximately 6:30pm on November 8 after calling back a second time that my appointment needed to be rescheduled because I was not home, when I had in fact not left my house all day long7) Rescheduling my appointment for November 11, then being told at approximately 4:05pm on November 11 (almost an hour before my service window ended) that my appointment needed to be rescheduled because I could not be reached, when I had no missed calls, no voicemails, nor had my doorbell been rung8) Being placed on hold on November 11 at approximately 4:05pm for over 3 hours and 20 minutes, after asking to speak to a manager in order to resolve my situation9) Receiving an automated telephone call at approximately 7:50pm on November 11 telling me it is very important that I reschedule my appointment, thereby confirming that Sears does in fact have my correct phone number
