Our guide for the turnaround turnagain tour was great! He grew up in AK and gave us a lot of good info about the area. He was also fun to be around and willing to improvise during our tour. He let us stop for photo ops where appropriate and did his best to find animals in their natural habitats and point them out to us. When we got to the height of the sky tram he left everyone to do their own thing for a while but when he found me lost and unsure of what to do he helped me find the best views for my photos! When we went to the animal reserve the snow was so thick that he walked in front of me to create a path so I wouldn’t slip. There were only 2 other people on the tour with me and the company did a perfect job at keeping us socially distanced in and out of the van. Our guide wore his mask the whole time which made us feel very secure. We were only in town for a couple days and I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see a lot of Anchorage in a short amount of time.

The specialist we worked with Gitte was so accommodating and helpful. She is enthusiastic and put a lot of effort into booking our tours to include hotels and the cruise and bus tours...she kept us informed and answered any questions we had...We were supposed to do it last year for our 20th were delayed by covid. We are glad we were able to still work with her this year. I am sure the others are also enthusiastic but we happened to work with her.We had a GREAT time and no problems and really appreciate all her work. Please see for yourselves!

I booked a tour to the Arctic circle on the famed Dalton Highway for November 29. Kimberley was extremely helpful with information and the booking formalities. She was available to answer any questions I had. Everything went as planned on the day of the tour. Our tour guide and driver, Mel, was amazing - very knowledgeable and put safety first. Despite dangerous conditions, I got to experience everything I came for, including the northern lights! Dallas, the person who drove me back to Fairbanks after the Aurora viewing was great too. Highly recommend Northern Alaska Tour company if you intend to travel with complete peace of mind.

We had a wonderful experience once we made it to Alaska. Our American Airlines experience was terrible. But Alaskan Airlines and the entire trip in Alaska was wonderful. We participated in two separate tours while in Alaska and both were wonderful, once-in-a-lifetime experiences. The Northern Lights had been at the top of our bucket list and it was well worth the trip to Alaska to experience this natural wonder!

We travelled to Alaska during covid time and the agency did a great job helping us preparing and planning a customed tour for us in those times. I went to Alaska In July 2020. This was the 2nd time I used Alaska Tours and both trips went off without a hitch. Melinda did a great job rearranging some tours because of Covid and cancellations. I highly recommend them.

My husband and I took our family members on the glacier discovery train and float trip, it was such an awesome experience. We had Emily as our float guide and she was great, she made the whole trip so much fun. All said and done we would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an excursion!

This was a great a find. I am grateful Google brought this up. They took care of everything from day 1 to the last day. I got the cheno hot spring package and I was very happy with it. I will definitely be using their services again in the future.I give this a 98% ONLY because food isnt included but during covid thats a good thing. But just to be clear overall this is an amazing company and customer service specifically Gitte was AMAZING.

This vacation was the best vacation ever! Everything was well coordinated and everything was laid out for us in an itinerary. The Borealis Basecamp was great. We were there 3 nights and saw the Northern Lights 2 of the 3 nights. There were very fun things for us to do during the day. Snowmobiling, dog sledding were the things we did but there was much more to do. We would recommend Alaska Tours to anyone and we would definitely contact them for a future Alaska trip.

It looks like I might be in the minority here but I wouldnt recommend them. My mom and I did the Fall Colors tour from Anchorage to Fairbanks. For the most part the trip was great, but there were a few issues in terms of the first couple of hotels we stayed at, and a couple of issues of things being listed in our itinerary as having been paid for that we ended up having to pay for once we arrived at our destination. The biggest issue I have is that when I reached out and emailed the company about my experience I never got a response. I couldnt in good faith recommend the trip we took to someone; not for the price we paid. There were a lot of positives, and with a few tweaks it could be remedied.

A very organized tour company. They made all arrangements for us for a land/cruise package and gave us vouchers. Everything went very smoothly whether it was a hotel check in or a bus that needed to pick us up. I was very pleased with their services.

It was perfect. Great hotel. Absolutely loved the Borealis Basecamp. We met some amazing people who worked there. The food there was extremely pricy so just be aware. Unfortunately the snow didn’t allow us to see the Aurora Borealis during our trip and it broke my heart, but I will be back and definitely use Alaska Tours. Didn’t have a single issue and that’s refreshing. It was easy to book. Easy to access once there. They did all the transportation planning and everything. Thank you!!!

The worst experience ever! The Basecamp I booked had horrible service. The shuttle driver that was in charge of taking us to the borealis basecamp didnt take my purse down and left with it which had all my personal belongings. I got my purse back at around 11pm and the charger was missing. I notified the office and they just said sorry and told me i could borrow a charger but had to give it back. My activity the next day wasnt even on the system and five minutes later i was told that one of the snowmachines didnt work so I could either cancel it or just do 30 min of it and get half of my money back. I was told I was going to get a refund of $75 because the hour activity was $150. I waited at the table to get lunch for more than 20 min just to get the menu really bad service! After i got back from my trip i waited a couple of weeks to hear back from them regarding the refund, I texted them they didnt answer until the next day and asked for my paypal info i sent it to them waited two more weeks didnt hear anything from them so I contacted them again and they said paypal was having some issues so i waited a few more days contacted them again and they said they will mail me a check. I recieved the check a few days ago and it was for $50 dollars. I will never pay that amount of money for something that was not worth it! I Do not recommend staying at the borealis basecamp.

RESPONSE TO THE OWNER: While we fully understand that Alaska fishing regulations are out of your control, the people at the Lodge we did fish with told us that the salmon season had been canceled for their region in January. You booked our trip in March. This means you took our money knowing that you could not provide us with the trip we’d asked and paid for, which was to fish for salmon. Alaska Tours did much more than ‘miss the mark.’ You sold us something that you either knew or should have known was not available in terms of the salmon fishing, and then you also switched us to a substandard Lodge and guide. Had we known this was what you planned to do (which was impossible since your confirmation documents appear to be purposefully vague), we would have canceled and booked a different trip with a more trustworthy tour company. We deserve a full refund, and have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Alaska State Attorney General’s Office.BEWARE! In March 2019, I called Alaska Tours to book the Fly-Out Guided Spin Fishing for three people –our son who is serving at Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson, my husband and myself. I told them we wanted to go salmon fishing from Riversong Lodge, a trip that had been recommended to us by a fellow officer friend of my son’s, and the Alaska Tours staffperson booked the trip. Curiously, none of Alaska Tour’s subsequent paperwork, invoices or vouchers contained any detail regarding our arrangements. Imagine our surprise when we departed June 27 and landed at a completely different (and inferior) lodge and were told that salmon fishing had been closed in the region since January, well before we booked. We had even asked at Rust’s Flying Service counter before our plane departed to buy a license and salmon tag, and no one commented on the fact that salmon season was closed in the area we were going. We ended up fishing for trout and pike (considered an invasive trash fish) with a 19-year-old intern fishing guide who’d just arrived in Alaska from Georgia the month prior. At one point, he even asked us what halibut tasted like… We’ve asked for a full refund, but Alaska Tours has refused. So be careful of their advertising (the trip description page pictures salmon fishing) and their tactics (they substituted an inferior lodge and guide experience). Sadly, it was a precious vacation day wasted.

From the booking to the actual tour, everthing was amazing, staffing at the train stations, wildlife conservation center, and the rafting staff was amazing, fun and informative. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
