We had an epic day fishing in the Kenai River with Johannes. Our amazing experience started with Jen who made the booking process and preparation so easy! She was so helpful the entire way. The actual trip could not have been more fun. Johannes was an awesome guide and very patient with us newbies. All 4 of us maxed out on fish and left very happy! Cant wait to cone back.

Jenn and Jo were incredible to work with for the entire experience. They were quick to respond when setting up the trip, kind, and Jo got us on fish right away. Knowledgeable staff and friendly service. Couldn’t recommend more!

Joe our guide was wonderful!! He took our group of 5 where the kids could fish and have fun and taught us exactly what to do to catch our limit! The pictures he took for us were great and all our friends ate asking us for recommendations! Can’t wait to try his salmon recipe! Hope to come back again!

We had a great experience. Thursday we fished for Halibut on Cooks Inlet and limited out. We also, caught salmon, cod, rock fish and an octopus! On Friday we fished the Kenai and limited out on sockeye in an hour and a half. It would have been faster but, I lost 3. Communication was great with Jen. I would definitely recommend.

First time fishing the Kenai, and could not have had a better guide or experience! Kenai Wild was first class from start to finish! Booking with Jen was simple and she is very acommodating and informative, and even flexed us to a different and better date when they knew the fishing would be better! Our fishing guide Johannes was an amazing host and very knowledgeable about all things Kenai and salmon, and whatever random questions he was asked about Alaska! Kenai Wild is a first rate organization from top to bottom and would recommend them to anyone I know! We are already booked for our next trip and cant wait for the action.On another note, it was known that the fishing was slower than normal, but we all still limited out on salmon, everyone in the boat caught a fish or two and we landed some big King salmon, this was all due to the knowledge of our guide Johannes! This was the highlight of my husband and Is honeymoon! Jo and Jenn operate a great family-owned business. Jenn was great in getting the charter set up with us, and Jo was a fantastic guide. He gave us all the gear we needed, taught us what we needed to know, and was there from netting our catch to filleting and advising how to get our fish back to the lower 48. We could not have asked for a better day!

With absolutely zero knowledge about the skills and patience required, my two sons (8 and 10) and I had the most wonderful experience to date. I couldn’t have asked for a better guide (Jared), who was knowledgeable and seemed to be able to handle my young sons and the fifteen million questions (and sometimes complaints). He was incredibly professional and has definitely created a deep appreciation for the river and the sport of fishing. Our catch of three (3) good sized silvers were an absolutely perfect end to a otherwise spectacular day. The legend of Jared and my littlest son fighting off a seal to retain his silver salmon catch will long be repeated around our house. Again, thank you SO MUCH for the awesome experience.

My wife and I did a guided King Salmon trip with Kenai Wild Fishing and would highly recommend it. Its relaxing, with very friendly and helpful guides (ours was Alex and he was great!). And the fishing was great too! My only recommendation is to wear lots of layers! It can be cold at times, especially if it starts to rain.

My parents, brother-in-law, and I recently fished with Captain Jo on the Kenai River. From the moment we booked our trip, Kenai Wild Fishing was awesome. They were in touch with us multiple times and any questions we had for them were answered very promptly. We had a very nice boat to fish out of, top notch tackle, and it was obvious that Captain Jo knew the Kenai River very well. Out of all the boats we fished next to, we were the only boat to catch a king salmon. We ended up catching 2 on the day and I credit that to our great captain for putting us on the fish. I have decided there aren’t many experiences in life better than reeling in a king.In addition to being a great guide, Captain Jo was very informative about the area and a pleasure to visit with. Awesome experience with captain jo ! My lady and I did a combo trip on the kasilof River in June. Despite fishing not being optimal we managed to get both kings and sockeyes in the boat, while no other charters were landing anything around us .
