I purchased over 1600 sq ft of floor tile from this company. Many of the tiles were received chipped and or broken in the box. At the end of the job I needed 16 more tiles to make up for the factory chipped / broken tiles so I placed an order for the replacement tiles of which they charged me.After attempting the installation of the replacement tiles, it was determined that the replacement tiles were so different in color they could not be used. I understand that there will always be slight color variations from lot to lot however these tiles were not even in the same color family.I called customer service at Cermaica and asked for their help. In todays times, all a company can offer is customer service. After repeated calls, with no answers other than they will get back to me a few days if in fact they even answered the phone, I called the manufacture direct, spoke to the head of customer service and they gave me all my options. As it turned out they had a color lot that was close to my original purchase located in one of their warehouses in Orange and told me that I needed to go back through the company I originally purchased the tile from Cermacia to resolve the challenge. I called Cermaica and shared what the factor rep had informed me and gave them the contact number so they could solve my challenge. Cermacia agreed to pickup the new replacement tile. Because I live almost 3 hours ( one-way) I drove back for the 3rd time to pick up the replacement tiles. Come to find out, Cermacia wanted to charge me for their mistake as they did not even check to see if the lots would be in the same color family. As it turned out the 2nd lot they sold me was not even made in the same factory. As a result of their incompetence, I had to personally call the factory, drive another 6 hours and they demanded that I pay for the opened boxes of which 3 of the tiles which were not returned due to installers. 2 of the tiles were cut by installers before the color difference was noticed.To add insult to injury, I learned that I could have purchased the same time from Home Depot direct and saved $.40 a sq. ft which would have saved me over $1200 when you include the delivery cost. The delivery cost to pick up the tile and deliver to my location were high in addition to over paying for a product that could be been purchased for less and shipped direct to my city. If they would have offered any consideration or just gave me the replacement tile for the open boxes, I would not be reporting their bad customer service behavior. As a Result, In my opinion, I would not recommend that anyone purchase any product from this company when you can go direct to Home depot and special order the same product for less. At least Home Depot will help you if have a problem.
