I would give them 100 starss if possible!They are professionals. Best at their art. My RV has had alignment problems for three months. Took it to a place near home solved nothing. Took it to Shortys Bears ALL problems resolved and drives better than new. I live in Michigan but I would drive to Texss to have them service my RV. The strawberry lemonade was amazing! My partner enjoyed the jambalaya! However the fish and chips I will never get again. Extremely greasy and very upsetting to my stomach. It was a $66 disappointment for me. But to each his own

Save yourself the disappointment of going else where and getting inaccurate quotes and unnecessary repairs (it took me leaving and cheating on Shorty Bear to learn my lesson) Not only did my problem get fixed upon my return, but the issues left to the shop I previously used, were corrected with not extra charge. They just care enough to make things right.

Just needed our state license inspection, but the staff was fast and friendly.The shop looked busy and organized and they were working everything from cars to RVs.Check them out when youre in need of a mechanic.

Danny and Ron take such good care of the cars and us. When my car left me stranded, my first call was to Ron at Shorty Bears and he made sure I was able to get safely home and they fixed my car right up the next day. I know that whenever my car or truck go into the shop it will come back fixed but only the things actually broken will be fixed. If something isnt broken they let me know and tell me to bring it back when something does break. Excellent service! The owner is great to work with. I was travelling thru Amarillo and stopped into oreilly because my check engine light came on. Oreillys cheap equipment didnt work. James, the owner of Shorty Bear happened to be walking by and saw I was struggling and offered to help. Followed him back to his shop, pulled right into a bay and had me on the road in no time.

ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY!!Traveling cross country in an RV pulling a tow vehicle in fog so thick your visibility is less than a quarter mile, tail lights are pretty important. Ours failed as we were trying to get home in extraordinarily challenging weather.....over the Christmas - New Years break. Heck of a time to be in an unfamiliar town with a mechanical issue. After calling around several places looking for help, we received recommendations to call Shortys with the description being....these guys are geniuses ! Even more important, these folks took our call, told us they would work us in right away and provided easy directions to get there.These days, I reckon our expectations have decreased a bit with COVID, for one thing, and just the general attitutude of so many businesses regarding service. Apparently the word never got to Shortys. The level of attention and service was beyond comparison. They stopped what they were doing when we got there and assigned a mechanic to review our electrical problem. In a matter of a very few minutes, the tail lights were working. They continued to review all aspects of the circuit to see if they could make them fail again. The fellow didnt want to let us get back on the road unless we were going to be safe. He showed personal interest in our safety. We just arent used to this type of hospitality and attention.So...we get ready to leave and Tyler, our mechanic, turned in his ticket to the front with a $0 dollars cost for what hed done. I was dumb-founded. I asked why is there no charge. He said, I really didnt do anything important. For those of you born in the 40s or 50s, youll recognize this reference. I thought I was in Mayberry and Gomer had just fixed my vehicle for free. Friendly, efficient, honest and caring. You cant ask for better.I highly recommend this team and feel confident that they treat everyone this way. Thanks again to all yall at Shortys!!

Passing through town and had a bent axle problem with my travel trailer. Everyone else in the country told me i needed a new axle. NOT Shortys Bear. They said they could realign the wheels, and they did. These guys are alignment EXPERTS. They even fit me into their schedule and Jimmy the technician, explained every step of the process to me. If you have ANY type of alignment issue, this is the place to go. I live 1000 miles away and i now consider Shortys Bear my alignment shop.

Shorty Bear has worked on my Toyota in the past and now the repairs on my GMC truck were completed in a professional timely manner. They kept me informed of charges and progress of repairs. I recommend them for any service to a vehicle. I feel their charges for repairs are well below that of dealers with a large overhead to maintain.

I am so thankful to have found Shorty’s Bear. Every year I drive my RV from Florida to Colorado. Prior to my trip this year I had a local Florida Ford Dealership do a front-end alignment on my RV. Around Wichita Falls, TX I noticed extreme tire wear on my front tires. With the cords showing on both front tires I managed to make it to Amarillo. Spending the night in a service center parking lot, they directed me to Shorty’s the next morning. I got to Shorty’s before they opened along with another customer that had an appointment. We both walk into Shorty’s hoping to get an early start, without hesitation they got us both right in and started work. After showing me how the Ford Dealer had botched the alignment causing my tire wear they proceeded to do a correct alignment. After the alignment they directed me to a tire shop that could get me right in. So by 12:30 that day I had an alignment and two new tires and was on my way to Colorado. I am so impressed with Shorty’s I plan to have my RV align once a year each time I drive through Amarillo on my way to Colorado. Thank you so much for going above and beyond to get a motorist back on the road. You will see me again.

Shortys guys were great once again.They put on a new master cylinder and power brake booster which fixed up my brake problems on my 1997 Chevy SilveradoThey also tackled my broken drivers seat. There was no easy fix but they took it apart and welded the broken frame rails. Then they put a temporary fix with nuts and bolts on the seat frame itself. They apologized for only being able to fix it like this and suggested I needed to take it to an upholstery shop for a better fix. When I drove my truck home I not only noticed the brakes now worked great but that the seat no longer leaned all the way back almost throwing me into the back seat. It felt nice and strong and almost like new! I know its not really back to new but it feels great and Im very happy with their service. Ron told me Danny was taking the seat off and would give it a try but not to expect too much. Well for my money (a Very reasonable charge) Danny did a great job and added to the life of my truck and my safety and enjoyment!Thanks very much guys!!

RIP off. Charged $800 (8 hours labor) to not solve a problem with all lights not working on back of my TV. Found and fixed problem myself (old cable connector block) a few days later when they went out on the road. Took about 20 min with multi-meter to diagnose and 5 to fix. I wont return.

We were going to need to leave our RV in Amarillo for a couple of week to get some Winnebago Service. We asked Sisemore who would be able to do an oil change the morning that we were scheduled to turn our RV in (we were on a very tight schedule due to an Insurance claim and meeting the adjuster). Sure enough, we called Shortys and they were able to get us in right at opening and got our RV in and out in an hour. Everyone was very friendly, very professional, giving us a smile and great service. Thanks for the quick service. We always take our vehicles to Shortys Bear, including our 34 ft motorhome. They are also so friendly, and they do their best to get the customer in and out as quickly as possible. However, despite their desire to move work quickly, everything is still done correctly. They have even told me that work I thought needed to be done really didnt. As a result, if they say something needs repaired, I believe them!!!

We moved to Amarillo last year and Ive taken all 3 of our vehicles here for their annual state inspection. I always receive great service. They have affordable rates and have even given me great recommendations to other companies for reliable service (like my window tint) to ensure continued care of our vehicles. I was always skeptical about bringing my car to a mechanic shop because of what everyone says about them that they only rip you off and charge a ton of money. This wasnt the case with shortys bear safety service, they have very reasonable prices often below the local or national fair price average prices. They did an ecexcelle job on my car and got back up and running, and driving like new again! This car is very complicated to work on but they did it and exceeded my expectations! They kept me updated all the time as to what the car needed and everything that was going on with it. They even stayed over the weekend to fix it(car had lots of problems). Great jobs guys! The rear end on our motorhome failed just as we were heading out of Amarillo. We were towed into Shortys Bear Safety Services, and we are so glad we were. Ron is awesome! He made sure things were moving along; first with an evaluation of the issue, then with his dogged pursuit of someone at Ford who would approve the warranty work. He kept us informed of progress and encouraged us to stop by or call if we had questions. He and the owners, James and Danny, went above and beyond to made sure our rig was stored inside, as it was not winterized and Amarillo gets pretty darn cold overnight during the winter months. It meant extra work for them moving it in and out each day while waiting for the parts, but that was just part of the service they provided. A huge Thank You, to Ron and the whole team!

Good efficient personal srrvice

Traveling across the country alone in an RV my oil pressure gauge stopped working. These guys were able to find where the wire had burnt on something and repair it and reroute the wires so that it would not happen again. They got me back on the road quickly and cheaply. I would trust them with anything now. They obviously knew what they were doing and were kind about it.

Came here about a month ago when my wheel bearing broke on the way to Colorado from Dallas. Needless to say I was in a very tough position and triple A recommended shortys for a reason. They had fixed the part in a fraction of what I thought it would take for an extremely fair price. I forget her name, but the receptionist was extremely friendly despite my lack of knowledge about cars in generaland helped me out. The waiting area was comfortable and was overall a very pleasant experience

We needed shocks on our motorhome and Shortys Bear was recommend by Sparten Chassis. Shortys knew we were traveling through and got us in a full day ahead of originally scheduled time. They worked with us and went above and beyond what was expected. I would recommend this shop to anyone. We are very pleased with the results.

We thought we had a major repair due to the noise coming from our 10 year old Yukon. Shortys didnt create a repair (as has happened to us at other shops) but told us suspension was fine and even shared a photo of what might be causing the noise. All for no charge--exceptional!

!Beware Sports Car Owners!I have always heard good things about Shortys, but I was very disappointed with my experience.My father took my ’06 WRX 5MT in for an evaluation on a suspension issue that I was having. It was just there for evaluation. Work was done without my knowledge or approval, which got me a $114 bill. The work done didn’t even fix the issue I was having. Disappointed, I paid the bill and left. It doesn’t stop there. My car was taken to Shorty’s with the clutch in good working condition, yet while driving it home the clutch was slipping so badly I could barely get the car moving. Between dropping my car off at Shorty’s, and picking it up a day later, the clutch was burned down to nothing. I called the owner to discuss what may have happened and he offered no explanation and zero assistance. So I went from needing an evaluation on a specific issue, to paying $114 for work that didn’t fix my issue nor did I approve, to now needing a clutch replacement that will set me back at least $1,000. I wish my experience was different, but I am very disappointed in the service provided. Never again will I patronize Shorty Bear’s shop.Response to owner - I made an appointment by phone days earlier and instructed that no work be done without approval. Upon questioning my dad, he told me that he told you to listen to whatever I instructed to be done on the phone days earlier when making the appointment. Never did he instruct you to perform a four wheel alignment. When I called before I picked up the car, one of the employees on the phone told me that they ASSUMED I wanted an alignment done. Trying to blame it on my dad is very professional though. On our phone call at the end of the day, I asked if you could assist me in any possible way. Silence was your answer. Now youre asking how to help the situation? I wish you truly meant that, but your sincerity is hard to believe when it comes only after I posted my experience. I appreciate the reply (though completely false and irrelevant to the overall message), but this post was not to argue. Instead it was to notify others of my experience.

Took a work van to have it checked, it needed new motor mounts, leaked oil, and a bad condenser fan. Motor mounts werent touched, the buzzing was blamed on the exhaust, manifold gasket wasnt touched, still leaks oil. at least the fans were replaced, at $650 for the job. I feel ripped off and i feel like i was rushed out the door. Ill be fixing thing dyi from now on. Cant trust anyone in this town anymore

I brought my jeep in to have my brakes and alignment done and it took almost 6 hours to do that. And then when i took my jeep home, it overheated within 5 minutes on the highway and issues that ive never had with this vehicle started popping up out of the water works. Theyll be expecting a phone call from me.

Ill never use them again. Took pickup in for idler pully and wanted them to fix check engine light and manifold gasket. The pickup never ran the same again. I had to take back in four times and kept not fixing the problem and when i finally got back distributor and head gasket started leaking within a week of having back.

Wrost service ever. Dont expect to get your car back when told. Over 2 weeks late.

Shorty Bears made a rough situaton better. Every member of the staff was superb. We broke down in our RV. We even had to sleep in their parking lot. They got to us pretty quick by abt 930 am. They searched for the password to their wifi for me and my son. They offered to take my husband to get food. They had problems finding a part and one employee drove for 2.5 hours in search of the part. They staued5 open late. Highly recommend.
