My very dear friend and stylist of 10 years moved last year, so I set out to find a new hair home. Big shoes to fill, but I tried a recommendation. 8 months later, I found my hair was a damaged disaster. Desperate and anxious, I discovered Silver Shears. Tonight, Shelly did my hair and there are not enough positive adjectives to describe how HAPPY I am. She did such a fantastic job, fixed so many things that were wrong. I am beyond THRILLED. I find the reviews posted here extremely hard to believe! I have been going to Silver Shears since 2005 and have found that the stylists are professional, personable, and talented. My daughter and I have recommended more than 25 of our close friends to Ann and her staff, and each one has become a regular customer. When I went through my breast cancer treatment, Ann was supportive and helpful in helping me to deal with my hair loss and find a wig. Then when I finished my treatment, she styled my hair through the growing in stage and helped me to find a new look that took years off of my age. I truly couldnt have asked for a more supportive and talented stylist! The atmosphere in this shop is warm and inviting, but the work that these stylists do is the real selling point. They bring out the best look in each of their clients consistently! I actually found this salon because I loved the hair style of a salesperson in a local store and asked her where she got her hair done. She was kind enough to tell me about Ann and Silver Shears and I have been going to Silver Shears ever since. Give it a try; youll be very glad that you did! I drive 45 minutes, bypassing many other hair salons to go to Silver Shears for the excellent service. The stylists are super talented, caring, sensitive, & really listen to customers. The atmosphere is so laid back and relaxing! I am always so pleased with the cut & color I get there! Ive been going to Silver Shears for months now, and Ive always been extremely happy with my haircuts and the service there. Meghan has been my stylist for everything Ive done, and Ive had my hair every color of the rainbow. Shes friendly, professional, and does an amazing job with color. Ive recommended the salon to many of my friends and will continue to do so. Its one of the best Ive ever been to.

On June 6th, I went into the salon to fix a very unsatisfactory color job. I was scheduled to leave for vacation in four hours. I cant express how happy I am with the result. They worked hard to fit me in and make it right. They were kind and understanding and proficient. Would recommend any of the women there, but especially Shelly.

I received a haircut by stylist, Jennell. This was my first time trying this salon. I read lots of reviews on this salon and had high expectations. When I arrived I asked for a simple haircut (a-line bob) and explained to her the length I wanted. While she was cutting my hair she was talking to other customers and her co-workers. Which I find extremely rude. Im paying for a service and I expect the stylist to focus on what shes doing. I ignored this and just hoped my haircut came out as expected. When I got into the car I noticed my hair was not only shorter than I asked for but also strands of hair were not even cut. When I got home I noticed the right side was cut much shorter than the left. I also noticed more hair strands that were not cut properly. I was extremely disappointed and hated my haircut. I ended up going to my prior salon in NJ to fix my hair. My hair stylist was even shocked by how uneven my haircut was. A $48 haircut turned into $120 expense. And of course now my hair is much shorter than I wanted. Therefore, I do not recommend this salon.

Meghan is the best! And every stylist is sooo friendly. Great shop, great experience.

My Wife Sharon had been going to this salon for a Few Months, Initially there was No Problem..she was seeing Meghan...Meghan Took Ill an we saw Jennell who Proceded to Chop up Sharons Hair, It was Uneven to say the least...When I told Anne the Owner she told Me Your not a Hair Stylist This is Ridiulous!..I told Her you dont have to be a Mechanic to Know your Car isnt running Right!..Meghan Came Back and Sharon asked for Highlights...she Told Meghan to Put Platinum in Her Hair ..Meghan talked Sharon Out of it by Saying it would Look Gray...She Rushed her out as Everyone Else had Left the Bussiness and Meghan was alone and wanted to Leave Also to attend a Gathering of Co Workers ...My wife Sharon is not an assertive Person and said nothing till she got home and Noticed The Highlights were Dim at Best!! As is the Lighting at Silver Shears....she called to Tell Meghan she wasnt Happy, that was on Sat, but she had already left so she Left a Message .... they are closed on Sun, and Monday so we Called on Tues as No One Called Us that Back to respond to the Message we Left on Sat and we were told by Jennell that Megahn would Call Us Back...She Didnt!. I Finally Reached Meghan who said she was Busy and Would Call back before she Leaves...She Never Did!... THey Offered No Reimbursement or corrective work to Satisfy Her Wants, Instead we were told to Find another Salon and they Pocketed the Money from a 71 Year Old Women who is retired and on Social Security... They told Us to Find a New Salon as Sharon Complained too Often in Annes opinion ( at this Point she had Complained once about a Haircut and Now about The Highlights) I guess you Cant complain or They Kick you Out!...These People have a Loyalty alright, its to Themselves Not Their Customers!!...Stay Away from This Place!!Also if you Look at the Reviews you will see Anne Giglio giving Her own Salon 5 Stars....(You Cant Rate or should I say Over Rate Yourself Anne!)
