I would give 0 stars if possible. We used republic services for 10+ years for commercial trash collection. On top of the missed pick ups they regularly increase their prices. After being billed twice for service I already paid. They cut me off. Made me pay AGAIN just to get the garbage away from my business in the 90 degree heat. Their service has been increasingly sloppy. More missed pick ups then usual. I dont have time to waste tracking them down. They charge way too much. They wanted to charge me $164. For pick up of our trash on a non scheduled day. Because they missed picking it up! I I canceled service and I am now using a small family business that charges me HALF of what this horrible business charged me. The 1.6 star rating should be your warning! Its all correct!

The kind of service you can expect. Drivers decide its better to throw trash around and get into fights than actually pick up. Always missed pick ups. Need to call them and manage their drivers for them.Edit: dispatcher said theyd send someone out. It has now been over 72 hours. Nobody has dealt with it.

This company is so bad at their job my 12 yo grandson could do better. I canceled service last pickup in May the blue cAn has been waiting to be picked up. They skip pickups and expect you to pay for the missed service. I would not recommend them to someone I hated The customer service is nonexistent. They keep you on hold for 20 to 30 minutes and lie to you when one of the dopes they employ finally picks up they should change their name to Hoover cause they SUCK.

I agree with one of the other reviewers, if I could rate less than 1 star I would. I ordered a 20 yard roll off dumpster that never showed, even after I called and spent an hour on the phone getting transferred around multiple times and remaining on hold for 20 minutes at a time. She promised it would get delivered that afternoon or by the latest the next morning. It never showed, and the office is closed on weekends so you can’t even speak to anyone to get an answer as to why. Then on Monday I spent another hour on the phone canceling the order and trying to get a refund. Total nightmare dealing with this company, I recommend avoiding them at all cost. There are too many other reputable companies that offer the same services, please don’t waste your time like I did.

Jonathan Wenner made sure i understood everything and answered all my questions before the container was delivered. i had a great experience and would def recommend them. the thing i appreciated the most was the courtesy calls and being able to call and speak to actual human that answered my concerns. very professional.

With all the negativity out there. I wanted to give kudos to the workers who are handling Northampton Borough garbage pickup on the Northern side of town. I have been coming home from work and my cans have been neatly placed near my house and not thrown on the street like with our previous provider. Initially, I thought my neighbor was bringing in my cans and today I observed the men on my camera walking my cans over to my home!!! Nice job guys, I appreciate what your doing!!

They are a horrible company. If I could give them less than one star, I would. I paid my bill timely and they have not picked up my garbage for almost 3 weeks. I have called numerous times and they will tell me they are running behind schedule or will make it a high priority to pick it up. And yet, there it stands with no one picking it up and no one giving me a reason why

After 21 years as a customer for trash and recycling pickup, without notice of any kind, the company terminated service in our area. I had paid each quarter in advance by automatic electronic funds transfer. After 3 calls, each up to 2 hours long, I was told that I was owed a refund for over 2 months, and would get it within 6 weeks. 7 weeks later after another couple hours on phone, I was told that no one initiated the refund process and it would now take about 8 weeks to process. This company is probably doing this to many other former customers. This is the most dishonest company I have ever encountered.

Aweful service. Lots of miss pick ups but the last one is totally UNACCEPTABLE. I have been calling 4 times in the last 4 days and all the answers I get after more than 10 min waiting for someone to pick up the phone are that they will come, that theres a delay. Today I insisted that I was not accepting the answer of a representative, someone else took the phone call and checked in the system. They saw my calls but ... Oh surprise... the missed pick up was NEVER RESCHEDULLED to be done before than TOMORROW. 6 days later... Heres a pic of the huge garbage I am growing at the end of the driveway, taking the garbage out every single day plus the dirt, the smell and the flies flying around all day. Dont hire these people!

There is always missed pick up and I’m constantly having to call and ask what happened that they didn’t show up. This last time I have been calling for 4 straight days asking what is going on. I keep getting the same answer ”someone will be showing up”. Horrible service! Several missed pickups and no one shows until you call and even then they might not show up. Ive called the last 3 days because my trash hasnt been picked up and I keep being told it will be today. Well they must be getting someone elses trash because mine is still sitting at the end of my driveway! Its piling up and they better take it all whether its in the can or not!

We have been using Republic Services for our trash and recycling removal for years. Our business has been extremely pleased with their timely and professional services. If there is a delay we receive a phone call to alert us to the situation however this is few and far between. I have not had my trash picked up in over 3 weeks. I have called and talked with customer service 4 times now and every time I talk with them all I get told is your trash will be picked up tomorrow and that never happens. I understand we have had snow and weather has caused some delays but 3 weeks is not ok. Today I talked to a manager and she was not much help. Agin I got told the same thing my trash will be picked up tomorrow. I do not feel my account is be serviced the way it should.

We use Republic Services in our Lehigh Valley apartment complexes. I order pickup for the compactors and open dumpsters using the app and get next day service. If there ever is an issue, our rep John Wenner resolves the problem promptly.

Republic Waste is nothing but a WASTE OF MONEY! Ive been a customer since 1996. The past three months, theyve been missing pickups. They changed my pickup day from Monday morning to Friday and alerted me via postcard. But they never picked up my trash on Friday. Customer service swore my trash pickup was still Monday. I continued to leave my trash out front. They didnt pick up EITHER day. Finally a pick up truck came by for a missed pick up. This has continued since August! Im the only Republic customer left in my cul-de-sac. They say they cant contact dispatch to alert them to the missed pickups. Instead, they have to escalate the problem. What company wouldnt put their customer service in touch with their dispatch to handle these types of issues? Im DONE!

Terrible consumer experience. Lots missed pickups, over 2x more expensive than other garbage collectors and absolutely awful customer service. They continued to bill me after I cancelled, for services that were not rendered, which is not legal. Please use any other service provider except Republic Services.

I would prefer to give zero stars. I paid for my items to be picked up only to find out I was never on the schedule. I had to call and complain 6 times in order for someone to actually do something about it. No one could find that I paid for the pick up. This one event completely changed my perspective for this company. I hope to never have to use this company again.

Would give them a zero if I could. After 3 months with them, they have snuck every possible side charge on to the bill and charge for things I did not sign up for. When I asked for the corrected adjusted bill, I was told it will take 10 business days to receive the adjusted bill while in the meantime I’m charged a late fee!!! The nerve! Just cancelled! Shady companies don’t sit well with me.

I ordered a dumpster because I have to throw alot of things out. They charged me and it has been three days AND STILL THEY HAVE NOT DROPPED THE DUMPSTER OFF. I KEEP CALLING AND THEY KEEP GIVING ME FALSE EXCUSES. I HAVE A PERMIT AND IT EXPIRES IN A FEW DAYS. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I LEARNED MY LESSON FOR NEXT TIME. Its 6:30 and my trash is still out front. Prior to dealing with republic (in two states) trash was picked up early morning my entire life. I brought my trash out last night for it to still be sitting here full and unsightly in front of my house. They are the worst and not the cheapest in the area.

If I could give them less than 1 star I would. We have had them for 5 years and finally give up on them. If theres even one bag that wont fit in the container they wont take it. We pay a high price for the removal, but if you offer the drivers $20 they will take as many bags as you have. Sick of it. We are switching to Smales Garbage Collection services---great prices and offered to add $4 per month to my bill to take extra bags and we will still pay less than what we pay Republic. Cant wait to give Republic Services the news that effective 1/1/19 we are done with them!

I don’t understand how these thieves stay in business. No matter where you look under reviews they rate one star, and from my experience with them, that’s only because there are no negative star ratings!! My wife and I had used their waste removal services for about 5 years and just being lazy, we accepted their crooked price increases every quarter. Little did we know that when we moved and quoted other waste removal companies, we were paying over twice as much as the competition! Then we cancel and we’re promised a refund and now waiting on 2 months with nothing. Every time we call it’s the same bull**** story that “it’s being processed.” They’re finding any way possible not to give us our money back! We’ve now filed a complaint with the BBB. Again, all you have to do is google republic services and you will literally find thousands of 1 star ratings and reviews, followed by Better Business Bureau complaints (under the google search) for their unethical business practice. This further demonstrates the terrible “company” they are. Do not, I repeat, do not use these crooks! There are a lot of 4-letter words I would love to use in this review if I could!

Republic waste raises there prices every bill period. But today my quarterly bill I received 6/18/2020 it went up 12% or $23. This means if they didn’t raise it again this year it would be 4x23= $92. Raise for the year. During covid19 when people have lost there jobs and fuel costs are down 30%. There has been the usual misses for pickup and also once they came and took away the cans for no reason but i called and they brought them back a few days later. Np mistakes are made. But to raise there prices this much in one shot during a pandemic no thanks Republic i have signed with a new less expensive service. Just low down dirty to jump your prices like this at this time!

Here at 6 AM every Monday, never missed a beat. Customer service is fine. We just got a new, huge recycle container and everything goes into one container. Very helpful as I used to separate all the items. Cheaper that Waste Management.

Long time customer. I cancelled service because of the rate increase and have been fighting them for over 4 months because Republic wants to charge me a $52.62 container REMOVAL fee??!?! Spoke with an agent, yet again today, and she informed me that The Division made a decision to not remove this charge. When I asked to speak to The Division she said they dont have numbers.....I dont know what kind of business this is, but to not be able to speak to someone who can properly address my concerns or do anything about them, is ludicrous! Ive Never signed a contract and never agreed to a removal fee.

I’ve been with Republic for years, and have never had any issues. Just as stated in previous reviews from others, they skyrocketed their prices recently. There is no exaggeration that my bill went up almost 100%. There was no letter informing us this was going to happen, just the bill showing up. I called customer service several times, and ended up cancelling my account. It then took them two weeks to come pick up their trash can, after I repeatedly was told different dates. Now I received some sort of removal bill in the mail. I am horribly disappointed with this company. I can’t express enough how terrible their customer service is. DO NOT USE THEM.

Contracted trash/recycling hauler for most residents of Easton, PA, where I currently live. Can be picky at times, certain employees will NOT empty your containers if theyre put up against your bldg to avoid getting blown away by high winds, to which we are prone the year round. Just watch, Ill put them correctly on the curb next time, and the winds will blow them halfway down or up my block, and theyll almost get crushed by a vehicle, if not fly into one damaging it.

The main reason I am cancelling is they upped their pricing by over 100%. I originally paid about $75 per quarter, but I got my last invoice for the next quarter and it was for $241! There was NO mention that the pricing would go up, only letting me know my auto-pay was set for that amount. I went and called and then signed up for the bagging services since I was told that was only $25/month. I then received a call letting me know I needed to PURCHASE the bags from them, I could not use my own.Due to this headache, I cancelled immediately. I also noticed my neighbor cancelled as well - likely due to this CRAZY increase in pricing. No thank you.

Have done 1000s of dollars in business with these people and they clearly don’t value that business. Awful! Service in Salisbury Township is terrible. The company has failed to return my township issued recycling container to my curb as well as a personal container. They often leave the cans in the street as road hazards and to be damaged by passing vehicles. In addition to destroying the containers, when I contacted them they informed me that by the contract they are not obligated to replace the containers. Also, they often pickup all of the neighbors recycling and leave mine sit at the curb....Maybe because I dont have a blue bin anymore? When I call about the missed pickup I am told they will send someone out but they just left it all there for an additional 2 weeks. They dont even bother to respond to say they arent going to do anything.

This company has one of the worst customer services. They missed 2 pickups in the last year and not as much as an apology. They tried to insult our intelligence by telling us that their guys are out at 4am, which is possible, however my trash has never been picked up before noon in the two years with this company. I cancelled services and to my surprise they informed me that there is a charge of $35 dollars to pick up the trash can. I volunteered to take the can to them myself, and was informed that I could not because a third party picks them up and refurbishes the cans. Beware

Absolutely terrible company with no customer service. This is the third week in a row that our trash has not been picked up on time (at least 2 days late and only scheduled for pickup at that time since I called and complained). 3 weeks ago there was no pick up for the entire week. The next week I called and was told that there was no reason the trash should not have been picked up.We have been with republic for over 2 years and they have constantly changed our pickup dates while failing to even tell us that they are changing them.I would recommend my friends throw their trash in the street rather than deal with the asinine business practices that this company employs.

I moved into a house in which previous owners used Republic services. The final trash pick up the trash guys decided to spill content from garbage can leaving broken glass and thumb tacs littering the street. I contacted the company regarding my concerns. I was told someone would be by to clear things up by 5:30 pm. At 6, mess was still in the road at the end of my driveway. I called back and spoke with someone that denied any record of previous phone call. Very happy to say as the new home owner I will not continue my service with them. I would also recommend everyone else avoid using them to avoid similar unprofessional issues in the future. If I could post a picture to this review I would display their poor quality garbage removal work.

They dont show up with containers, then after weeks of calling, they take them to the wrong house because they typed in the wrong address, then they bring you the wrong containers (no recycling even though you requested it), then they bill you for the weeks you didnt have pickup because they didnt bring containers, then you get fed up and cancel and they dont pick up containers, and they also want to bill you for the drop off and pick up. This is just the summary of how bad they are, not including hours and days on the phone. No service and hundreds of dollars in bills. What a scam.

Unfortunately salisbury Township in allentown, pa is contracted to this so called trash & recycling company. I have twice a week pick up and im lucky if they pick up my trash and recycling in the same week. I always have to call them to pick up what they neglect to pick up and then I have to call the Township for them to actually do it. I dont know how these clowns stay in business. They are in fact one of the worst garbage companies out there. They let trash and recyclables lay all over the street. They randomly select whos garbage they want to pick up and who they dont.

STAY AWAY! Do not use, even if you have no other options!Monday’s between 5-6am Republic Services is to pick up our garbage. We have been customers since the end of 2012, during this time we have had constant instances of being missed in both good and bad weather. We are only allowed one can of garbage - missed pickups - no adjustments on account.Most recently our pickup was missed on 2/11/19. We called that afternoon and were told it was due to “weather conditions” and the pickup would be Tuesday morning 2/12, leave the cans out on the road. This would be acceptable, except for the fact that this entire area did not have bad weather until Tuesday 2/12 late morning and throughout the remainder of day. Of course, no pickup on 2/12 so every day, sometimes multiple times per day, my husband called customer service. Every time he was told to leave the garbage out, somebody will pick it up. On 2/18 a rep told my husband that we should not have to pay for a week and she transferred him to another department to have the bill adjusted. He was supposedly transferred and conveniently the employee was whispering into the phone and then she hung up on him. He called back and there was no record of his previous call, another girl gave him an attitude and when he asked to speak with a manager she refused at first then transferred him to yet another person who was not listening to anything my husband said and kept repeating that the company is on a weather delay.This is absolutely the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. We finally had a pickup on 2/19. So from 2/5 - 2/19, they did their contracted job once. Furthermore, to make matters worse, we have a shared driveway with five homes. It is pretty far from the road down to our house. We could not keep pulling two cans up and down the hill every day, especially when we were told they would come before the end of the day, the next morning, etc. This inconveniences our neighbors due to the cans half blocking the mailboxes and/or driveway because we live on a country/rural road. One neighbor is contracted with a competitor of theirs and their garbage went twice during the time ours was sitting along the road. There is NO EXCUSE for incompetence.On 2/22 my husband called around noon to cancel our account. He was told billing will go thru the end of month, plus a $30 pickup fee for the garbage can.Plain math shows that “their” system should give us a 86.87 credit. However I pulled up account this morning and they have a $18.75 credit indicated.This is a scam.We cancelled due to their blatant rudeness, lies, games and inability to do their job. We should only pay for the 6 weeks of service we received over this quarter and should not be charged for them to pickup their can. At $350.60 per quarter, I should receive a check for $175.30You also need to know about another scam this company has pulled. We had been paying around $160/quarter. Without notification, or option to cancel service, effective 10/13/18 our billing went to $350/quarter. How is this even LEGAL??

Terrible, half the time the trash is not picked up. Then they add on unreal Fuel/Environmental Recovery Fees. Plus when you try and call to complain and now cancel and you are on hold for a hour. I cant even get them to stop the service.
