I have been going here off and on for the last 3 years. I have never been more upset than I am today. My girlfriend and I went to get a fill as usual and we were seated next to each other. Her guy didn’t ask her shape or length or anything after grinding her cuticles to the point they bled. She brought it up and was brushed off each time. She has a huge bump in the middle of her thumbnail because he stopped the fill before the end of her nail. She brought it up and he “fixed it” but it’s still very noticeable. While she is sitting next to me crying about her nails (which they both simply ignored) my tech proceeded to put a different glitter on my nails “because he didn’t like the way the other one looked” despite my objection. There are globs of acrylic and gel clear coat on the sides of her fingers and nails and when approached with it again the guy just took the file twice to her skin and sent her on her way for the last time. I am very upset with the service that we received today and probably won’t be back. They also had to redo a couple of my nails and when they’ve never charged me before they charged me an extra $6. Definitely need to rethink my nail salon choices for next time.

Overall, I am satisfied with the services. They’re efficient and quick. The downside and why I gave it a 4 the customer service. During my manicure the service provide was not as friendly as I hoped to be. The person told me to wash my hands and I didn’t know where it was, not providing detailed information. The pedicure went fantastic and was a quick service. My nails look wonderful. Thank you.

Poor quality. Tech cut my finger. Barely files my nails and they look globby.

I always feel so welcome here. Youre always offered something to drink, and they always try to squeeze you in, even if its last minute. Excellent service, good prices, and friendly atmosphere.

Had an appointment for my daughter and I at 3 yesterday . I had to wait almost a half hour and then my nails are now lifting and are all different length and lumpy. After $100 and a $20 tip. Hopefully when I go back tomorrow to get them fixed, they will be better.I’d post a photo but it won’t let me.Update, I go in to get them fixed. While trying to explain the older lady cuts me off and tells me to settle down. I try and explain again and she cuts me off. I told her then I’m out. I’m done. Told her I would contact higher ups because the way I was treated. Then she follows me out side and wants to argue with me. I advise her to stop following me and leave me alone. She wouldn’t. This is absolutely unexceptable!!

Love Tami such a nice woman and all her employees. Love the atomasphere. Very clean. Very very great manicures and pedicures. I am a big woman and the man who did my feet was able to make them perfect. You get alot for 40 dollars . Tami you are hard working lovely woman.

Very friendly, customer focused salon. Came to get manicures with my two girls (6 and 14) and each of ours turned out perfect. From the Cities, but if we come back to Alex for a weekend we will definitely be back here.

Ive been getting gel manicures a long time and every once in awhile i try a new place... I wont be trying this place again. She was filing so rough with the file it spiced my skin just under my nail and the gel started Chipping the very next day.

I don’t know what is going on at Family Nails. There has been new staff all summer and not very friendly!! I was soaking my nails to remove the old polish and the guy (who also went out for a smoke) said to me with a shrug, “You need to be patient lady!”Three different staff did my manicure and they were all crabby. I gave them a second chance after my last pitiful pedicure…done going there.

We really enjoy coming here for our pedicures. They are always kind and very friendly and they do a great job!!

This is my favorite nail salon in Alexandria!! The people are so nice and welcoming. The environment is very calming and feels very clean. The service is great and I am always satisfied with how my nails turn out.

Got my nails done a day and a half later 2 break off. I spent $45 so my nails could look nice on my birthday now they will just look messed up... Thanks for messing up my sweet 16.

I highly recommend!! 10 Stars! I just got done with my first pedicure from this business and I’ll definitely be back! Very clean and all staff were very friendly and welcoming! I also have history with severe trauma with my right foot and it’s extremely sensitive along with half a nail on my big toe. The young man who did my pedicure obviously noticed this and was extremely careful, gentle, took his time, and did a epic job! Can’t say enough good things about my experience! I’ll be back for my next pedicure and will recommend to all I know!

The drill they used on my fingers was burning me through my nail due to them not changing the it as they should customer service was not all that great respect wise

Usually have to wait 20 minutes past the time scheduled for services. However, the service provided is fantastic! Very caring and they know what they are doing.

My daughters and I all got our nails done and it was a great time. We tried the Vietnamese coffee and it was really good. All around good time!

Today was my first time here and it will be my forever new nail place as long as I live nearby. Such a pampered pedicure! Love the scrub and hot towels! People were REALLY nice and very talented!

I am from the Twin Cities I needed to get my nails done and a pedicure. I went here because they had good reviews. I was not disappointed. I am very picky, and my nails and pedicure turned out perfectly. The shop was clean, they followed social distancing, and I’m very happy with the results. I will definitely be back when I am in town.

Staff were friendly and offered beverages. Went with 2 friends to get manis and pedi for a wedding the next day. They were overbooked and ended up splitting us up completely and just seemed to rush the job. I did acrylic nails which turned out beautifully but werent at all what I asked for. Twice as long as I wanted and when I asked to have them shorter was dismissed and lady did them long anyways and also nicked me with the dremel twice.

My manure was a little rough, I’m sure it was because my nails were short. Staff was so nice. The only problem is that I’ve had my gel nails for two days and one of my nails has chipped off quite a bit. I’ve been here a few times, but this seems strange. Maybe it’s because I got a design. Otherwise they’re an amazing business.

Like place will go back. But last time 2 girls with 2 kids came in. Didnt wait in waiting chair came and sat right next to where I was getting my nails done and waited for the guy to finish me. So kids running crying and I felt rushed. I actually forgot to tip the guy I was trying to get out of there super quick.

I LOVE FAMLY NAILS! They make you feel like comfortable and around family. Where you can sit back and enjoy a relaxing time getting a pedi and oe manicure. Tammy treats everyone who comes through her doors as though they have known you for years! Super amazing nail salon!! And its newly remodeled and even more comfortable! I recommend that everyone go to family nails for all their nail needs!
