Truly terrible, please use some different TV Provider.I’ve been using Cox for many years now, and I’ve never experienced this before. Every 2-4 months after the internet goes away. No, this doesn’t have to do with my router. I recommend different TV provider, definitely not Cox.
The internet service constantly goes out, I swear if you add up the amount of times my service goes out I should get a month free. I wish my area had another internet provider.
Stay away from this store. Poor, poor customer service is all it serves up. I was told by a customer service representative to call the store and I was immediately transferred to customer service by Jackie because she was really busy with customers in the store. Pick Verizon or any other competitor. This appears to be part of their systemic culture.
Whatever you pay — know that will your bill increase every year (while your service stays the same or dated). Facts. So let’s say you pay 70 bucks for just WiFi. Next year is 80. Then year after 90$.. same speed though.
Even though I just wanted Wi-Fi, they offered me a basic cable receiver because it was free. I never used it, but since it was free, I took it. 8 months later they start charging me an extra $50 out of nowhere, no warning, nothing. Beware of free things from cox
-staff at this location were really friendly-turned in my old equipment with no hassle on trying to get me to stay with them, normally businesses annoy you with trying to get you to stay. They asked I said not interested and that was it-got in and out within 5mins so service was quick-only reason for 4stars is cause overall as a ISP they are expensive for what you get-for face to face interaction at this location overall was good for me
Worst customer service ever. I ordered an installation package and paid a $50 deposit. The package was not compatible with any hook up in my apartment, so I called to have someone install a hook up. They wouldn’t allow anyone to come out until 2021. Of course I can’t wait till 2021 to have internet so I went with someone else. When I called to get my deposit back, they said no problem. A month later no deposit. I have now been on the phone for an hour worth Cox and they are telling me to dispute it with my bank from two months ago. I swear the customer service is horrific! I will never use COX again!
Dont ever get Cox internet. Please just trust me...if you want good customer service and good internet. Look anywhere else but Cox. I am writing this review with my phones LTE. Save yourself hours of pointless back and forth with dumb reps and join another internet provider.Trust me and when you get stuck with bad internet...just know you were warned.

Horrible experience, not with this particular store but with the company. Always losing internet connection. The last week in my apartment they disconnected my WiFi the 14th instead of the 17th like requested. More furious because I had Homework due & they basically told me since the account is closed they can’t do anything about it. Had to use my hotspot to finish homework. I called technical support the guy told me he can see my internet working fine although my calls kept being dropped and laptop kept losing connection. Not satisfied, especially my last week using COX!

Just started service with Cox. The salesperson I spoke to did not really listen to my needs and did not offer me any promotions. He seemed like a nice guy, but was mainly concerned with pushing me for a giant bundle that I did not want. The technician, Vincent, was very friendly and informative. He was on time and full of great energy. My 2 year old daughter loved him. I called Cox the following day to update my information regarding my modem. I spoke to Lance who was extremely helpful. He fixed my new account so that I would receive the promotion for first time users. Not sure why the first guy never offered me that option. Lance got everything straightened out for me. He was extremely friendly and professional. Hopefully the remainder of my time using Cox services I will only deal with people like Vincent and Lance.
I had a horrible experience they told me I would on be paying 126 then my bill came to 146 I updated my WiFi, I felt like I had been lied too... I called to cancel my internet, the person who helped me had horrible customer service made me feel very unwanted, said that I would regret canceling my WiFi saying my son would be on the street now because he won’t have WiFi to play and that he would catch the virus. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I will escalate this to corporate her name Was MARTH. That’s something no one should ever say to such person especially a customer when I’ve been with you guys with years.

Have a great internet service, the only problem is they care more for new customers offering best package and prices, and doesn’t care for existing clients, I’ve not idea about they policy, but, existing customer with long term service should be offering better package and price’s, new clients could be connected only when promotions are available and then can move forward with other company who offer promotional services.
On Tuesday I was directed to call and to speak with the Manager about an issue that I have with a promotion. Called Wednesday and the woman who answered did not even let me finish speaking so I could ask for the Manager, but abruptly interrupted me to say let me transfer you to someone that can help you and put me into the Cox automated system. Really? She lacks any customer relations skill. Seems to be a hiring practice for this location. Avoid them if you want to be treated like a valuable customer.
This store doesnt follow up on their offers. Its been a year and I havent heard back from them about my reward code. Was quoted one amount when I signed up by a representative from this store and online service only offers half. The rep never emailed me the code to redeem the rewards, despite multiple requests from their head office and from me directly. Bad business

Scammiest service provider there is. STAY FAR AWAY. Id rather use a dial up modem and have to get off the internet to make a phone call like its 2002 again before I ever do business with this establishment.
The staff was very professional and I appreciate that they have a sign in sheet so they know who to take care of in the appropriate order. The only reason I didnt give them a 5 rating is because I dont care much for Coxs service.

Ive been a customer for nearly 20 years with Cox Cable service for our computer. Weve now decided to go with a competitor because their plan seemed simpler, unsure as to whether or not this will be the case. Still after 20 years with Cox I requested a technician to come to our home and remove their cables and you would have thought with so many technicians in the neighborhood they would have complied with this rather simple request but they refused; so while they do the install it is the customers responsibility to remove cable. These are the details they never disclose. Shabby service for loyal customers.
Recently I stopped my service because the moving. I’ve contacted cox more than 5 times to talk about my refund, but they still haven’t applied my refund check back yet. Every time they told me a wrong number of my refund before I correct it, then no any updating after the conversations. Yesterday I asked them why they keep my refund so long and give me the wrong number of my refund. The staff told me cox don’t care about customers and reputation. I’m disappointed with cox service. It looks like they delay the customer refund service intentionally. I used Comcast, Spectrum before, neither of them had the problem like this. I can’t stand more with the Cox’s bad attitude. They can’t hold my refund and ignore older customers like this.

Im sitting in the lobby right now. I walked in and there were 9 people waiting. The center has 6 representatives visible yet only two of them are assisting customers. Unbelievable how the representatives not assisting can look right through everyone in the lobby as they talk amongst themselves.
Returned my set top box and modem here in early 2016. Still getting collections letters from COX saying I never returned it. Definitely never getting their service again if I ever live in an area they serve. Stay Away unless you want a collections notice on your credit report.
No issues with the turn in of my equipment. Staff was polite and professional.
Didnt get what I needed but the customer service was great with all the customers. The middle eastern/ Indian manager energy I didnt care much for but overall it was good. The young lady who helped me have me some great information to call customer service with and I am a new customer. The boxes are too big for small mantel places which is why I came in. So have online and internet now thanks to her.

I was forced to give at least 1 star. They only deserve half of a star because my wifi only works half the DAMN time!!! I loathe this company. I had no choice but to go with them due to my area. Their prices are rediculous after all the added fees. I could go on and on about this #*@$# of a company. Long story short, do whatever you have to to avoid them! Even pay another company more money than them, itll be worth it, trust me!
I am so disgusted with this company. A few days before I moved out of my apartment I called the Cox Customer Service to tell them I was moving and needed to disconnect my services. The support representative told me to bring all of my equipment EXCEPT the mini box. The representative told me that because of the arrangements with my condominium that I should leave the mini box there. I get to this store and the employee told me that Im going to be charged for not bringing it in. And when I explained to him what the other service representative told me, he just shook his head and said that she shouldnt have said that and it doesnt matter and Im going to be charged anyway. Really?? Talk about TERRIBLE customer service. He gave me a receipt for the other materials dropped off and waived me off like some annoying fly. This is a very bad company with poor taste. If you can avoid them, use someone else.
This 2-star review is more about cable companies and Cox, than about the actual Solutions Store. The store itself is clean and the staff tries. Products, such as speakers and TV enhancements are way over priced. Which brings me to Cox itself. Like all cable companies, they seek, aggressively, to sell you more than you want or need. Also, everything with Cox seems kludgey. Website is hard to use. Cable box user interface is too difficult. The one bright star... internet speeds are exactly what you pay for.

I used to be with COX internet for over 5 years...after VERIZON offers a good deal only 40 bucks with speed 100...i never use COX again. So expensive with 60 bucks... switch to verizon and i saved 20 bucks...

Worst customer service period. They offered me a Internet + TV package and said that the promotional price was valid for 1 year but started charging me the regular price in just 3 months. When I talked to customer service they said that there is nothing that they could do. When I requested to give me a new promotional price they for some reason could not give me the price that I was looking at on their website. I wish I had an alternative to cox like I did in my previous residence. FIOS is 1000 times better than cox.
Absolutely the WORST service ever! Customer service sucks, products sucks, internet sucks, techs don’t show as scheduled and don’t call to advice of later arrivals! I would strongly advise all to stay away from this provider.
HORRIBLE Internet Sevice!!!!! Every device I own continually loses signal and I have to log back in to Wifi to re-connect. This happens at least 7-9 times an hour. If you work from home and need constant uniterrupted internet connection, this definitely isnt the service provider you want. Now Im stuck with a 2 year contract or pay a $300 cancellation fee.......should of stayed with Verizon!! In this day and age, how can you provide a service that has a compromised connection to the Internet?!
Couple yrs ago, there is no other internet around my area except COX. Now, Verizon is in my area and they offer cheaper price. cox is always EXPENSIVE.. verizon charges only 40 bucks for 100 MPS speed... COC charges 50 bucks. Cox needs to do price match.. if not, people will all switch to Verizon and will start to lose customers. Verizon is a strong company and i love their service.. 40 bucks 100 speed 👍👍

If I could give no stars I would, worst internet service ever. I had a tech come out once a week, and it’s still not fixed, now they want me to pay another 93 for a new modem when it’s their product and service that isn’t working? Uh why would I pay more when you’re still not giving me the service I’m already paying for. Every time I’ve called in they are nice, but nice doesn’t help my WiFi from dropping. I work from home, on the internet. It needs to work. They don’t do anything to help but will send a tech out who tries to charge you after they leave even if youve got the coxcare plan. I called and set up 3 appointment telling them each time what I needed, I’d wake up wait and either not get a call, or they show up and say “ I don’t do that you gotta call someone else” why? It’s not a power source. It’s a network cable, you’re the network. Why?!
This is the worst experience i have ever had. unfortunately, cox are the only company that can provide to our business. we used to work in other ocation with verizon and xfinity anf it was great. i hope other provider will be in the area and we will move to them
I suddenly noticed I had been charged for a wireless modem that I had returned almost a year ago! (Shame on me for not checking my bill every month.) I called the Help Desk and he was of no help - while he could see I had been charged for months, he said he could not adjust my bill; that I would have to provide a copy of my return receipt. I went to the Cox store in Kingstowne and Tomas McCutcheon went into the database and saw that I had, indeed, returned the modem within a month after the rental; and that I had been charged, inaccurately, a rental fee for it. He spoke with his manager and my bill was immediately adjusted and a credit for close to $100.00 would be applied to my statement. When I looked on-line, the immediate rental fee had already been deducted! This was a case of talking the talk and walking the walk! THANKS TOMAS!
This review is for COX in general, not this particular store. When you call COX the people are relatively friendly, that is the ONLY PLUS. The internet is TRASHHHHHHHH, I have ONE thing going on it at 11AM and it does not work, it stops constantly. This happens ALL THE TIME on any device. I can re-start the internet, no change, very frustrating.
I went here yesterday to turn in my contour box & remote. Having read the reviews beforehand, I prepared for the worst/hoped for the best. There were two people before me and from the time I walked in I was greeted with a smile, asked if Id like to have a seat (I chose to stand) and within moments I was called over. The rep who waited on me was super nice (wish Id gotten her name) it took all of 5 mimutes, she handed me a receipt for the equipment and even walked me to the door laughing and politely joking all the way.Im no fan of the monopoly game of cable companies and yes their customer service (especially on the phone) is usually far below par, but I must say the service I recieved at this location was A+. I will not take away from these kind people for the deeds of the greedy executives of which these service reps have no control over. I still have cox internet (got rid of cable) and will keep it even though there is probably better/faster out there, good customer service means everything to me.

Absolutely the worst internet provider I’ve ever been with. Service? Below average, Internet Reliability? Below average, Internet Speed? Terrible, ok download speed may seem fast at 100MB but upload speed is a joke 10MB. Here is the most important part, PRICING absolutely ridiculous, $85 for just internet thats 100/10 for speed. On top of that, you pay $15 for a garbage modem/router they offer. total is $100 for just having a below average internet service. I’m stuck with this company because Cox is only available option where I live(Apartment). Cant wait till Verizon becomes available here.

Cox is actually the worst internet provider out there, anyone looking at this page to get stuff from these guys, get the heck out of here, it is better if u spend $5 dollars more than deal with slow internet service every single day. If there is anything worst than the slow internet it would be the customer service as they wont help you solve the issues neither will they respond to emails.
This is the worst provider EVER! The only reason why I am giving it a star is because I had 1 lady that was absolutely nice. You will never get a direct answer without a bunch of questions being asked and afterwards you so exhausted from all the questions you dont want to deal with it anymore. The locations are few and far between. The price for just internet and cable is like 190.00. Verizon has packages that will give you just that since they understand that not everyone has a home phone. Cox will make arrangements to your bill without your knowledge so check your bill very closely. I found it amazing that I was paying like 30.00 a month in taxes but with Verizon its only like 6.00 and some change.
Now, I dont write reviews, but my last experience with Cox was finally enough for me to get on here. I called the customer service number provided on my bill the other day about a loyalty discount and some price changes on the bill. I was redirected to the customer loyalty department, which is where things got bad for me.I cant recall her name, but the representative told me one reason that my bill went up was because my loyalty discount expired afer a year, and she would try and find another one, which she did. Now, my Cox bill had just kept steadily rising over time, and after a couple questions I had asked her regarding specific aspects of my bill and if there were anything else I could do to further reduce my bill, I could sense her frustration rising, and a condescending tone claiming there is no other option and this is what she was offering.To weigh my options, I then asked what the total bill would come out to be if I were to remove my cable access and just keep the internet, to which she said to the effect of OK - if that is what you want, Ill go ahead and cut the cable for you, okay? Wow. She became immediately defensive, as if I had insulted her personally somehow, and I had to cut her off and reiterate that I just wanted to know what the price would come out to be, because I know if I hadnt done so, she would have immediately cut the cable access. This exchange went on, and I couldnt believe my ears that all the horror stories were true. When there is this many overwhelming negative reviews, it is for a reason. Now I have had one positive experience in the past on the Cox customer service telephone line, but its clear Coxs customer service line make it obvious they do not want to be there and do not care for customer service.If experiences like that concern you for companies that provide you these kinds of services, run the other way. I would not be with Cox if I had the choice due to my location, and I definitely recommend reducing some stress in your life by going with a different company, if you can.

Horrible store. Do not go. I had to go there FOUR times in two days to get my issue resolved. The staff do not know what they are talking about and they charged my account for stuff they never told me about nor did I consent. It was not until I spoke with a rep over the phone at one of their call centers that they noticed this on the account and asked me if I consented. The rep helped lodge a complaint against this store with Corporate.Also, if you try to call the store, no one ever answers. It always goes to voicemail saying all reps were busy, however, when I walked in the store 2 minutes after getting off the phone with customer service, everyone was hanging out laughing with no customers in the store. There is no reason they could not pickup the phone.

Horrible customer service! From the beginning the make you feel uncomfortable. First of all, there were 5 people working and nobody had the time to attended me. Then, the guy who finally said can I help you? He was with a bad attitude. After that he offered me internet plans more expensive that it was in their own webpage. So they dont even care to make a good deal with the new customers, I cant imagen how they are with their customer and those have any trouble with the service. Im glad not to be with them.
I’m not at all happy about what I have had!! Been waiting too long finally the agent told me you should pay a deposit of about $300 to install the service....! End up with internet router.. unfortunately, not working. Went back to the store and changed it!! The same problem??! Not working. I am so frustrated 😕
Let me count the ways that this company has blown me off. I run a small business that only used one channel, CNBC. I turn on the TV yesterday and no channel. It says I need a new box to go all digital. Nobody called, emailed, anything...it just happened. I call in tell them I need it for business. The answer...You will get a call within the day. Of course that didnt happen. Day two no cable....where does this go? Let see whats next...facebook and yelp I think.

Ive never been more frustrated by a company. Horrible services, customer service is a joke and prices that spike with outrageous charges evdn when services are cancelled. Do not in anyway shape or form uses cox as a solution for cable phone or internet. If I could give 0 stars I would.
I just got a call from the automated system that I still have a bill. I ended my service in January and handed in all my components. Call the number and no one picks up when you choose billing.
I have been with cox fpr 4 years. I only have basic internet with cox because I cancelled my cable when they upped my bill for no reason and were not willing to lower it. My bill went from $42 to $68 for no reason. I tried calling them to see why my bill went up again and was passed around to several departments and none of which was willing to help me. The last time I called the representative hung up on me. Awful customer service and i dont recommend to anyone.
Nice pleasant guy in the store, but never registered my new DVR so, as usual, I got on the phone with Cox at my time and expense. The company just cannot get basic customer service right no matter how simple.
Depending on who you get to help you,you get two options in this place: 1) you get a nice customer service rep who greets you and say thank you or 2) you get someone who is very rude and hates to answer any questions. Well.... I get the second option most times.
Absolutely Terrible internet service. When I am only getting 1Mbs and am paying for 100, that is the worst. Techs have been out four times and the terrible customer service makes this company the absolute lowest on my list of anything. If you can avoid this company, do it at all cost. I would pay double what I am now just for some decent service and internet connection. They should be ashamed to call themselves Cox Solutions because they offer their customers no solutions whatsoever.

We order the service for my office 2 month ago and they just finish with the phone instalation they keep on saying it was verizon i call them nany times and they say is coxthe only reason i stay with them is cuz they the only provider in my areai cancel the service at home cuz it was never working
It appears that many of these reviews are in regards to the internet service they are receiving, or some other issue unrelated to the service received at the store location.I came into the store to begin new internet service. I used the kiosk (was #3 in the queue), waited ~10-15 minutes and was assisted by Jovan. He was very helpful, friendly and informative. If I came back, I would make sure that he was helping me.Yes, I would rather have Verizon FIOS but it isnt available where Im living. Jovan made my transition to Cox simple and didnt waste any time. Cox Communications is literally the worst cable company that I have ever dealt with. I downgraded my cable service on 9/19 to the most basic service due to the $30 increase in my bill. Since then my cable has been out. However, thats not even the only issue.First, after being told that I would be charged a prorated amount, they went ahead and still charged the full amount. When I called to find out about that, they piled on more B.S. when they told me that my monthly bill was higher than what the representative originally quoted.Yesterday, on 9/21, a tech came out to try to fix the problem. After about an hour or so, he tells me that he has to go up the road and to call him if the cable box doesnt load in the next 20-30 minutes. I call him after the allotted time, but he doesnt answer....twice.I proceeded to call Cox and spoke with a tech that told me that she would forward my formal complaint, as well as have a tech come out today (9/22). Gave me ticket #s and everything.My spidey-sense started tingling because I never got the confirmation call. I call Cox again and I find out that the ticket was never generated! So I ask how to file a formal complaint, and after initially trying to pawn me off to the website (which has no option to file complaints), transfers me to corporate. The quotes are because she transferred me to a line in California despite Cox being headquartered in Atlanta.The only reason that I even deal with this company is because it is the only one allowed in my complex. If I didnt need the internet for work, Id cancel them altogether and wash my hands completely of this farce of a company. I pray for the day when there will be independent internet providers again, and people wont be forced to go through these cable companies.

They make you stay with them or you pay a fine, and after complaining pn bad service they finally let you go but if you want to keep your phone number they charge you
Poor customer service! Called twice about my billing issue and I was told that they will call me back. I never got a phone call from them. They charged me for an internet service which they offered for free (first month). False advertisement. What a scam. I did not choose this internet service provider. I do not have a choice because my building only offer this. I would definitely choose XFINITY over this service.
Store personnel have generally been knowledgeable and helpful. However, it is pathetic that with several hundred thousand subscribers in Farifax County, Cox has only two of these stores and they are open for relatively limited hours.
A lot of the problems are due to arriving at busy times. Ive had good and bad service. From the store mostly good, phone service is mostly good as well. The prices are outrageous unless they offer to discount services in a bundle that usually is for a 2 year period with cancellation fees. If you look online in tiny print it says the normal rate for non-bundled version. Some of the phone sales people will be honest with you but others will try to upsell you if you try to downgrade service. Hang up and call back if you feel like you are getting upselled and tell them exactly what you are willing to pay for. Just remember to be patient. The other option is to just cut the cord and go internet only since there are so many options available for online television.
I have to say that Cox internet and cable is crappy service. My internet is slow and cant hold a steady connection. Its the worse service ever and I highly recommend to anyone who has Cox to cancel. I say this because me an my girlfriend have Cox and we use the internet to stream movies and TV shows. Now when we try to stream our favorite movies and TV shows, our connection keeps going out so it makes our streaming devises slow and they lag. If Cox doesnt step their game up, we are going to cancel our cable and internet connection through Cox. Also going to switch to Verizon FiOS which I know for a fact has high speed internet. I say again, anyone who has Cox internet and cable, I highly recommend cancelling and switching providers. In regards to Cox company, Im going to continue to leave bad reviews on Google, the Cox website, and all media websites.
Absolutely the WORST internet provider service I have ever experienced.We bought the most expensive internet package and it has been incredibly INCONSISTENT, SLOW, AND sometimes not even working.Our apartment complex, Huntington Gateway, suggested this as our only option and we installed it. Because of the horrendous connection, we had a really nice technician named Jason, who did a fantastic job replacing the modem and moving it to a more central location to get better connection. However, the issue is really just the cheap, terrible connection that they provide.Run away from this company as soon as you can. Id rather have no internet and save myself the headache than be victim to this terrible company and service.

The poorest internet provider I have ever contacted, with poor customer service I have ever talked to, even before telling ng her my request she cut off the phone; however, I was waiting for more that 20 minutes in my phone to talk with one of representative.
The internet all the time fell down, and called several times to customer service, but they just say they already have a connection, find other internet options Please, don’t waste your time with them
I did not sign up at this location, but I do use Cox service. It is lightyears beyond Comcast. Perhaps that is why Im rating it highly as I am beyond happy with what Im getting now that Ive moved and switched over. Now, I have experienced an odd issue regarding my router/cable modem randomly dropping all internet connections, but that appears to be more of an issue with the old building I live in than the equipment/service itself. I am driving out to this location later to return an extra cable box, well see if my satisfaction diminishes by the end of the day.
I HAVE JUST CHANGED MY SERVICE FROM VERIZON TO COX. THREE COX SERIVE CONTRACTORS CAME TO THE HOUSE IN THE FIRST TWO DAYS. NO GOOD, NOTHING WORKS, EVEN THE BOXES THEY PROVIDED WAS NOT WORKING. SECOND EVERY TIME I CALL TO ASK AQUESTION ABOUT WHY MY INTERNET IS NOT WORKING, MY BILL CHANGES RAPIDLLY. I AM GOING TO GO BACK WITH VERIZON.
The internet/wifi is horrendous. Do not get it. Everyday we experience internet/wifi problems, and I bet upgrading wont help. It doesnt matter how close you are to the hotspot, you get terrible internet.Dont even get this, its a waste of time and money. The wifi is slower than a slug.
If I could I will give them negative5, cheaters, overcharges and customer service sucks. They dont care about customer only money.
It burdens me to hear all the negativity regarding Cox internet, yes I have had accidental service interruptions, who hasn’t? Overall the service is pretty reliable, I’m not going to bash the other providers, the proof is in the pudding, I have been with Cox for over 10 years, I tried the others, they didn’t perform or the customer service was not to standard….good day!
