I made sure to check before the appointment that they had experience doing balayage. When I got there Roberto (a character with many stories) and Tony inspected my hair and of course decided it was a disaster and they decided what to do with it even when I show them photos of what I desired or as closed as possible. After 5 hrs of many different products and a $300 bill I ended up with my hair nothing like I explained to him that I wanted . I wish I could post photos. I am not a happy customer.

My wife asked me to grab some product for her before we leave on a trip. I went during their advertised time and they were not open. That is not as big of deal as my experience outside the place. I read to use a different door and as I turned to walk to the other door I trip on a metal trip wire directly across the sidewalk. As soon as I catch myself and figure out what just happened I trip on a second trip wire. My foot is now bruised and bleeding on the top. They might be the best in town at hair but I will never let my wife spend another dollar there after what I just experience. I am still in disbelief as I sit here at why a business would have metal trip wires across the sidewalk to their store entrance. Im at least fortunate to be young and get away with a little bit of blood on my foot. God knows what could happen to someone with more years on them than I if they arent staring at the ground as they walk u .

Im never going to another salon now that Ive found the absolute BEST!!!! Theres no going back to average. My whole experience at Robertos was AMAZING!!!!!!!! Words can not express what I feel right now. Im extremely picky and have been to high end salons that dont hold a candle to this amazing haircut and advice to keep my hair healthy and styled. Again, another wonderful experience at Robertos! Ive been going to Roberto for over ten years and now have taken in my young teenage daughter. She has long hair that she is always hesitant to cut. Luckily, Roberto knew just what she needed. He gave her a cut/trim using Jaguar cutting shears that sealed the ends in preparation for a Rahua finishing treatment to condition, restore, tame the fly-aways and add amazing shine. Called and was lucky to get an appointment on the spot. My daughter had a really bad ombre job done on her hair. We were horrified at the result of another person. Tony was there and really took his time to analyze the colors and the result was beautiful!!! He really saved us a huge amount of stress and was so kind and calm in his approach. It was a long visit, but my daughter said it seemed to go by fast. We met Roberta while there, she was super sweet and made us feel very comfortable. I came to Robertos with severely damaged hair, broken from over processing by another local hair stylist. Roberto used heated sizzors on my hair, which cauterizes the ends and brings health back to the hair. I am so amazed by his talent. Never in all my life have I had such a wonderful hair cut. Not often does one have the opportunity to receive expert hair cutting coupled with sincere and genuine care for the soul. Roberto is not only a famous stylist who has worked on many a celebrity head; he is also a healer (curandero). For many years, I have watched people such as my wife leave their appointment glowing from the inside out. I feel pretty great myself whenever I go.

My hair came out amazing, the prices are really high but I feel like I got what I paid for. The owner was uncomfortable asked alot of personal questions I regret answering them after. He constantly called me and his employees baby it just felt unprofessional. The girls were really sweet. He also in a way continued to judge my hair before which kind of bothered me. He is a great hair cutter but needs to be more professional and not as creepy.

Makes me feel 10 years younger. I have been coming here for over 20 years and feel special each time. The color has improved since he started using organic products as he strives to do what is best for the customer.

Worst salon in Albuquerque!!! Owner kinda creepy and he is to touchy. He claims he is the best in town but he messed up my hair and cut it to short. I will never go back to this place it has a wiered vibe to it and to much going on. Not a comfortable place at all!!! I will NEVER return back and also told my friends never to go there.

Im not one to ever comment but the owner had an un licensed lady mix and dye my hair. When I went in I have not dyed my hair in two years. The brown I went in with was my natural color. I decided to go 2 shades lighter. I even showed a picture of a ash brown I loved. I explained I didnt want red, orange, or yellow in my hair. I wanted light brown. Well long story I had asked the lady doing my hair when did you get your license she said oh no I dont have one I am just helping because he has all new employees and is having a hard time keeping them, that scared me. Dont know why but When I drove up I seen a lady outside with foil in her hair I thought that was funny. But they sit you outside after they dye your hair. My makeup came off I was sweating it was the worst experience ever. Than after they washed my hair I looked at it wet and I freeked out. I said it looks redish orange! She said wait to dry it. I did and it was still redish orange. I tried not to be rude but the person blow drying my hair was getting drilled cause she wasnt drying my hair right well I thought she was doing a good job. I thought she was gonna cry I told her your doing ok dont worry. Than I asked her what color does my hair look she says red I was like thank you.....I thought the same thing. She was very honest. I over paid 320.00 for a crappy dye job and I shortly after called and wanted my money back he said nope not gonna give you your money back. I said you had an un licensed person mixing and dying my hair. I said well I want you to fix it he said no he wasnt personally gonna fix it not to tell him how to run his salon. So I told my husband and he went in and Roberto all scared acting fake to my husband said Ill do her hair myself. I said what he told me no. And I had already went to DAmbrosio to fix my hair. They said they damaged my hair and my scalp was peeling bad. Probably from sitting in the sun for a long time with dye. You want to go to a salon with no yelling and to relax and not sit in the hot heat go to DAmbrosios they arent 300 over priced and they are very professional their. They fixed my hair and I was in a nice cool environment. They said if they made a mistake they wouldnt of argued and gave me my money back. Roberto get off you high horse and admit to your mistakes. Thats why my 3 sisters and 2 of their friends stopped going to you, i should of learned from their mistakes. And stop over charging people! DAmbrosios are all master cutters and were 1000 times better and only charged me 99.00 to fix everything.
