The in person part is easy, the telephone activation for the card, the online banking, app and all other things to access money to to use the card is repulsive. I was thinking of getting my taxes filed here for the second year but as of this week I hate the app and the company. The tax prep who helped me was nice and helpful but the app and the number on the back of the card are complete trash. Then I try to just use the website and nope just as bad, I have wasted near an hour on black loading screens. I am beyond frustrated and am not going to use there service this year.

I booked a drop off appointment for taxes and upon arrival, my agent, Josh, acted as though I was a stranger and he had no idea why l was there. I sat down with him to briefly explain and it turned into an awkward twenty minute bumbling around by Josh. I made sure he knew it was a drop off right off the bat, but I was forced to remind him after it seemed like he was beginning a sit down appointment. It would have been okay if my time wasn’t so booked.I was later called by Josh to pick up my prepared documents and when I arrived for that, I was rudely greeted by a new agent who volunteered to taken me to her desk to figure out my reason for being there. It was so mismanaged. She had to do a few minutes of digging to even find me on the schedule (someone else who wasn’t there was supposed to take care of me). I told her I needed to be gone soon as my ride was waiting for me, but the whole process took a painful hour to complete. The last fifteen minutes were spent annoyingly waiting for the computer to work in order to take my payment. I feel lied to and manipulated. I was forced to pay money and precious time (about two hours with driving included) despite all the headache of this “drop off” appointment. I am so dissatisfied with this business and the manager who tried to help, but seemed too annoyed to really care.

Was able to drop off documents in advance instead of having to wait and sit for a H & R member to help us. Then we made an appointment and the rest of the process was quick!

I had my taxes done by a rep named Fatima Manriquez at 2145 San Mateo Blved NE and she kept making comments about the phones and internet not working well.When I tried to pay the fee with a card at the desk Fatima kept telling me the web was delayed. this went on for several minutes. She then said that my payment showed as accepted, and said that unless I wanted a receipt my bill was paid.Over the next few weeks I would occasionally check the IRS website about my return. Nothing was showing as received. I called the H&R office and was told to just give it time.Finally I call the IRS who said that the return was never received. I called the office again told my story 3 different times to 3 people the last one being Fatima Manriquez. She said that I had never paid for my fees and made it sound like I was trying to steal from them. She then hung up on me. Since I live close I walked over and Fatima Manriquez came out from behind a cubicle and claimed that I had hung up on her. then the manager loudly said that she apologized and said the phones werent working right. Sure.Fatima Manriquez claimed that she had tried to call me and had left voicemails to tell my their system didnt work when I made the payment. No missed calls or voicemails on my phone were found.I made the payment again this time the flawed and useless web service they use apparently put it through this time. This place is incompetency and ignorance on parade. Dont go there if you dont want your tax return to turn into a hassle that takes weeks to correct. Have you noticed one star reviews on here get a message from the owner who gives an 800 number to call about the valid complaint? Its like they are saying Heres a quarter, call someone who cares.

I can count on H&R Block when I procrastinate to the last minute and I know my taxes will get done on time.

So I originally go to the H&R Block on Montgomery (had Maria P last year and Magally this year) but they did not have any appointments at the time so I decided to go to the San Mateo location and it was a mistake. I made an appointment, went in and immediately the lady at the front desk was rude. I brushed it off because they were busy and i understand customer service well it did not stop there my tax person was sooooo rude I couldnt believe it. She kept asking me irrelevant questions like whats your living situation after I had already told her I was head of household so I wasnt sure why she kept asking me, she then was going through my dependents and asked me not once but THREE times Do you get any help from your parents I told her no then she proceeded to say really you dont get any help from you parents I then again so no and again she asked me as if i was lying she then started to ask me about how much I was getting in scholarships from school WHEN MY 1099 WAS SITTING RIGHT INFRONT OF HER I told her i didnt know it was all on my 1099 and she got mad because I didnt know information that was right in front of her face, after that she was asking me about W2s from 2019 and was saying i needed to bring them in i was confused because I already filed those in my 2019 taxes which i did at H&R Block had she looked up my previous year she would have known. I ended up forgetting a W2 at home and had to put my tax filling on hold I was so intimidated by her I had my mom go in and get my stuff and I made an appointment at the Montgomery location. After going into Montgomery location I was told that the lady from the San Mateo location still put in that I got help from my parents after telling her 3 times I did not. I WILL NEVER RECOMEND THIS LOCATION!

Filed my taxes with this company, and Im having difficulty receiving my refund or even tracking it. Steve, the gentleman I spoke with, told me he couldnt do anything since theres no marked errors. I trusted these people to guide me thru this, and all they can say is sorry I cant do anything. What a pathetic work ethic. Never coming back.

Had an appointment at 3pm and barely got in at 4pm.... another guy waited 10 minutes and got to see someone before me.....

I did not like that the cost wasn’t explained to me. There was a paper on the desk showing the cost starting at $69. I was charged $250 for a very easy straightforward return. I felt the amount was excessive and I don’t plan on returning.
