Service and price were good. Job was done professionally with all employees and owner of company personable and nice. Only issue that dropped review one star was scheduling, not returning of phone calls to schedule and one no show for appointment. Once scheduling and showing up happened everything was top notch. Otherwise, the job was done perfectly. Recommend!
Great service. Reasonable price. On time, did what they said, quickly and properly and even came back and fixed a new unrelated minor issue at no charge. This is our second time using them and have been very satisfied! They are now our go to company. Highly satisfied!
Albuquerque pools is the only place to go for all of your pool maintenance and repair and supply needs. This company cares and has helped me maintain two high volume pools. They have a very high level of professionalism and experience. In this town its not what you know its WHO you know. Get to know Albuquerque Pools, youll be glad you did, I know I sure am!
Super disappointing - scheduled them 3 times to come out and close my pool and 3 times they were a no show no call. Very inconsiderate to assume we can just sit around waiting time and time again. Would not recommend them.
My pool pump when out a few days before we had company coming over for the weekend. I explained my situation to Brad, and he sent a Tech out to repair the pump the same day at a very reasonable price.
Wonderful experience and Brad (the owner) was totally hands on as well as being patient with all my questions regarding my new vinyl liner. He was extremely professional as well as personable. He was very helpful and knowledgeable with over 40 years in the business. Tracy was also so wonderful everytime I called and its was a pleasure to talk to someone who makes you feel like they appreciate your business.
Have probably 8 or 9 missed Appointments. Still have not heard from anyone. When I Call the office just rings then goes to voicemail. Call 3 to 4 times a day. My pool liner was installed by Brad and his Crew it was what looked to be to big, but I was assured it will shrink. To this day the liner is saggy and has wrinkles at the bottom in the shallow end of the pool. They have Very poor to nonexistent customer service
Such an excellent company to do business with! Every house in our cul-de-sac uses them to open and close their pools. I needed my sand replaced in my filter and they came out quickly, completed the job well and he spent time answering all the questions I had and teaching me more about my pump. Very professional and you could tell they really know their stuff. They were actually cheaper than other companies Ive used and way better quality. We will definitely continue to use Albuquerque Pools.

Brad and the office went above and beyond to help me when my pump motor went out. They even made a house call to make sure that the new motor was wired correctly. Saved me money and were very responsive. Highly recommend!
We have lived in Rio Rancho for about 16 months and by far this company is the BEST. I had a leak in a pipe (for solar hot water) and out of 13 pool companies that I contacted, this was one of three that returned my call. They were the first company that could get me an appointment the soonest, so I went with them. Tony showed up and was very professional and ON TIME!! He answered additional questions that we had. We didnt have to wait a month for him to show up, and he HAD equipment on his truck!! We didnt have to wait weeks/month for the parts to come in!! HIGHLY recommend!!

I bought a Saluspa on Amazon. In a few days it wouldnt heat. I left a message on Albuquerque Pool and Spa after hours. They immediately texted me. They troubleshooted with me on phone. They suggested filter was clogged. They were correct! Problem fixed by Brad. He didnt charge me even though I offered to pay. Wonderful customer service! I will always go to Albuquerque Pool and Spa for any needs. Recommend highly!!!
If you are not looking for drama and are only interested in complete and quality pool service, do not call these people.First time pool owner, they were recommended by my realtor so in the spirit of good business I had these guys open my pool and spa and requested training and weekly cleaning service.Was talked out of weekly cleaning by the service man and he said he would send me an email with all the details for my specific pool. Asked for a fence quote as well.Charged me $250 and didn’t clean my pool. No email sent. No fence quote. Emailed and asked for a response, no response. Called and again asked for weekly service or for them to say they can’t do it because I was about over trying to do good business, it seemed like even with a couple chances they still couldn’t get it together or didn’t care about my feedback about lack of response and follow up.Kimber scheduled me for 4/15 then called the day of to say it was too windy and her arm hurt from the COVID shot...okay, took appointment for the next week.She comes, no pool cleaning, again. Says she can’t because the water is too dirty and only spends about 20 minutes total at my house. Asked her to come early the next week on Tuesday 4/27.Messaged her that morning to ask what time she plans to be at my house and she begins to trash the owner and tells me she got fired but she will help me anyway. Told her to leave me alone and she continued to text back.If you’re not looking for drama and you seriously just want pool service, do not call these people.
I have had multiple poor experiences with Brad (owner) and Connor (employee).I have given this company close to $1,000 and they have been unhelpful, rude, and never provide complete information.I paid for pool school to learn about my pool when moving in and many things were left out. When inquiring with Brad about why we were not given full information about the pool he said I cant give you all the info about your pool in a 2 min convo on the phone. It seems he forgot we paid him $100 to do exactly that - teach us EVERYTHING.They told us opening the pool would be no problem and they would take care of/clean everything, but 3 wks after opening my pool is still green. I had to argue with Brad to get him to come out to vacuum my pool (which was a service he told us was included in the opening fee of $400) where over 40lbs of leaves and muck was removed. We only have a robot and no manual vacuum so theres no way we could have done this on our own AND THEY KNEW THAT.The solar paneling they installed on our roof broke off during a wind storm and when I called Brad, he told me it was too late on a Friday but he would have someone fix it Monday. When Connor arrived Monday, he had no material or equipment to fix my broken solar panels and told us he thought Brad was going to come with him that day but he didnt. Not sure what happened there.When Connor opened our pool, he just left without saying anything, we had to call to get instructions, which were incomplete. He told us not to clean our filters until our pool is clean, but every website online says to clean a murky pool you must clean out the filter. They also emailed us instructions for a sand filter when we have a cartridge filter and when we asked them about this Brad said Since your Yelp review, I am done! Find someone else.They are NEVER apologetic when we have called to complain - actually the opposite. I have never been treated so badly by any other business before. Even the secretary told me Brad isnt easy to talk to and laughed about it.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I am livid with them and my pool is still disgusting and they told me they wouldnt be surprised if it took almost 2 months to get it completely clean because it didnt have a cover. Despite them telling me 4 times during closing and over the winter that it would be no problem without a cover and they would take care of everything once it needed to be opened.These people lie, deceive, and cheat you out of money. Almost a grand in and I feel COMPLETELY ripped off. We now have to take them to small claims court because they wont even give us a partial refund despite only doing half the work.Oh and Connor has shown up to my front door without a mask before and took his mask off in our backyard and garage while working on the pool.The response below is laughable as we begged them to help us and the owner emailed us Im done with you, I saw your Yelp review. We even offered to take half of our money back, but they never responsed. We ended up having to take them to small claims court to get our money back
I paid in advance to their “White Glove” pool cleaning and my pool has never been so green with Alge growing in the walls and stains that will not go away no matter the amount of brushing. Never again!
Always a fast response with this company and they have always been able to adequately address my issues, without unnecessary charges. I have them coming out tomorrow to fix a heating issue but I have used them a couple times in the past and quite satisfied. Which is why I looked them up again today for this new problem. I would recommend them to a friend....and I really wonder what happened with that other reviewer who never heard back from the company...thats too bad and hope it was remedied by the company eventually!!

Brad was extremely helpful and helped me secure parts at will call, just in time for the weekend. Also gave free tech advise to me over the phone. Happy kids and wife on a 100 degree weekend!! Its nice when a human answers the dang phone! Thanks Brad!!
Im so disappointed. The owner, Brad, and I have had a fantastic relationship for more than a year. He was my trusted guy for all things pool-related. They did a great job installing a new liner and they were wonderful last year at opening and closing. This year, something happened. My pool never got finished opening. Its still not operating how it should. And we ordered a baby fence that was nearly $3000 (including install), paid for it, and waited. Brad would call us and say it was shipped wrong, then wed wait more than a week. Then Id get a call that it was backordered. Then another couple weeks would go by. They finally came to install it, and its the wrong color. Then, I just stopped hearing from Brad. Id had to initiate the contact. He said it would be corrected, but I didnt hear from him for another week. So, I disputed the charge. To this day, Ive not received even a phone call or text. Im absolutely stunned. I referred him to a colleague last year. If a pool company can just DO what they say theyre going to do WHEN and HOW they say theyre going to do it, theyd be rolling in the dough. I think Brad needs an office manager. Needless to say, Im sad this didnt work out, because I like Brad. I just think theres some disorganization there, backed by good intentions, sprinkled with excuses.Edited from 3 stars to 1 star. Pool company didnt finish opening the pool and levels are all off. Need a new pool company ASAP.

This was my first experience with Abq. Pools. My last contractor had installed valves on my pump manifold that were very hard to operate and one eventually snapped off. Couldnt get him to make repairs, lots of excuses. Called Brad, he gave a good quote, I accepted electronically, and he scheduled the work right away. Good work, convenient payment through Quickbooks. He also explained some useful things I didnt previously know. Overall good experience.
After 5 seasons of having a pool, we were so frustrated because no one in the Albuquerque pool service industry seems to answer their phone or follow through on anything. Brad, the owner, has been so awesome. We made an appointment and they were on time and very professional. They do such a great job every time. Couldn’t be happier we found ABQ Pool and Spa.
Had an appointment. No show. Ignored my call. Didnt return my call. Its really disappointing, as we approach a cold weekend and this was scheduled in advance. They keep people waiting and dont show or call! Unacceptable. Shame on you Albuquerque Pools & Spas.
Very unprofessional broke plastic pieces on our plumbing of the pool strip brass fittings never on time have to work around there schedule not yours not trustworthy do not do business with these people you will pay big for there screw ups
