Nice place, clean and stylish friendly enough but could be better. Andrea (Brooklyn) Baca has cut and colored my hair for about 8 months now and she always does a great job. I have thyroid issues and have had many bad cuts in the past that take forever to grow out due to my thyroid, but Andrea is respectful of the problem and thorough in making sure she knows what I want before she begins. I would recommend this place.

I know one day someone will see my hair on pintest and use it for inspiration. My hair and make up for my wedding was absolute perfection. The only thing I would say Is definitely tell them your timeline. I had to get back to the hotel to get dressed and do pictures and my matron of honor and 2 bridesmaids still needed make-up. Because of that I missed out on several pictures I really wanted but they looked amazing. I know if I would have communicated the timeline we needed better it would not have been an issue. I highly recommend them and give 5 stars but because of time I had to remove a star.

Im not a personal client but my wife loves it there .she has traveled as far as Lubbock tx for her hairstylist and finally she has found a new home with her amazing friendly talented nayden .she is amazing because my wife never has anything negative to say except how happy she is and how great her hair looks and feels .To top it off all the staff there are so nice and extremely professional. I would recommend this salon to anyone .And they are reasonable. But remember you get what you pay for so dont be cheap and get done right the first time .keep up the amazing work 😁

Chris T is amazing!! He fixed my hair that had been previously FUBAR by an other therapist. Hes personable, educates you on which products hes using, but most importantly hes a magician with hair!

I am very unhappy with my haircut. At first I thought it looked good, but when I got home and looked closely in the mirror, I realized that it was uneven and even the layers are uneven. Worse than a haircut you would get at super cuts. Don’t be fooled by the positive reviews, I ended up going to another hair salon to have my hair fixed and although they tried their best, I have to wait for some of the layers to grow for my hair to look good. Lesley and Mariah are amazing! Lesley did my sister and my updo for my wedding this weekend and did a fantastic job. Mariah is an incredible artist and our make-up came out better than we imagined. Lesley gave us just what we wanted and was awesome to work with. Thank you for helping make my special day that much more special. We got so many compliments and the pictures came out wonderfully. Hands-down, the best salon in town! An upscale experience without the extreme price tag. The Christopher James salon always is clean, and I understand they now run their industrial exhaust fans multiple times a day to exchange the indoor air thoroughly. I feel safe getting my salon services here, which is so important today. Comfortable environment, pleasant and accommodating people, cool music - what more can you ask for in a great salon experience?!

I’ve been coming here for the past 2 years and usually have Nadine. She is always very welcoming and nice. I had Leslie today. She was silent the entire time, which threw me off at first, but she did a great job and I was in & out. Was offered water but it never came.

I could have gotten a better cut/color from a $10 walk in place. The cut has no movement and ALL of the color washed out in 2 weeks. $200+ down the drain. I emailed about this and received no response. When I called to let them know that my color was completely gone, I was told that usually doesn’t happen and asked if I wanted to schedule another appointment. There was not even an apology for wasting my time and money. I do not recommend them!

We just moved here and I was nervous about someone new doing my hair. Walking in they were so polite. I love my cut and color. Also when finishing up I was being shown products without feeling that awkward push to buy them. It was simply telling me about the products instead of making me feel obligated to buy. I ended up actually purchasing the television shampoo and the amazing smelling leave in conditioner. Definitely my new go to. Thanks Jackie !

I only waited a few minuted before getting started with Chris Babb the owner for my color/highlights appointment. His consult was on point, and the level of expertise and knowledge was excellent- any questions I had he was so helpful, which I appreciated. I left feeling revived and beautiful with my new color. Definitely recommend any of the outstanding hair and skin services offered here, all of their staff are great!

I had an appointment this past Saturday at 9:00am with Chris Tsosie which is right when the Salon opens. I was waiting for him to show up. Finally when it was ten past 9 I asked the girl at front if my appointment was scheduled at nine. She advised it was and said they will call Chris and see what was going on. I could hear her on the phone with him which ended in a small laugh. She advised me he was still another 10-15 minutes away. No explanation, just told me he is usually early. Based on the end of the phone call she had with him it sounded more like he overslept or it was no big deal. At that point I was very off put by the unprofessionalism of this salon. I left and will not be returning. I thought Chris would at least call and apologize for being late to his work and making a customer wait but that would of been asking too much. Don’t waste your time, find a place that’s values their customers and know the basics of customer service.I should of known better as the first appointment I ever had with Chris he rushed through the appointment. My appointment was his last of the day and I asked for a cut and balayage. He finished my hair in under an hour and half. I have never left a hair appointment that didn’t take less than 3 hours for a cut and color. It was obvious he did a sloppy job to finish work early. I spent 220 bucks for something that should of been half that amount. He didn’t do a balayage he ended up just doing a hair glaze and he didn’t even tell me that is what he did until I checked out and schedule my future appointment he didn’t show up for. My hair color faded within a couple weeks. Do what your client asks for not what you decide to do to get out of work early. I would hope for contact from this salon to remedy the poor experiences I had.

Didnt know what Hair Coding was. For curly natural hair, & didnt want to know which for a hairdresser I find it very telling. When a hairdresser is unwilling to learn, u can only assume what kind of student he/she was...cause for pause.

I really enjoyed this place overall. Its very aesthetic and all the clients are nice and seemed to enjoy working there. Im very pleased with my haircut and service overall. I just didnt enjoy the round brush and blow-dry I got after. I dont believe it was great for my hair since the blowdryer was on too high but thats all. I recommend trying this place out :)

While hair chemistry and mixing colors is complicated, Lesley, continued to make excuse after excuse on why she couldn’t give me what I wanted, but continued on the path of charging $230 for BARELY any color at all. I went in with probablymore color than I left with. Extremely frustrated and won’t ever pick another salon above Square Root again:)

If I could give 0 star I would. The store is unprofessional. Starting with them taking forever to attend to me despite that I had an appointment, then they asked me what I wanted to drink while I was waiting, I told them hot tea they never brought the tea. The worst is my makeup, the worst makeup I have ever paid for. If I knew they would waste my time and at the end not doing a better makeup I wouldn’t have bothered going there. The makeup I do to myself is way better than the service I got in this store.

I tried this salon out after my stylist moved here from another salon in town. First of all, it is a beautiful space and they make you feel welcome as soon as you walk in the front door. The salon is filled with top-notch stylists, top-rated haircolor (Goldwell) and a great line of all-natural hair-care products by R&Co. Andrea put a great cut on my hair....and I came back the next day for highlights with Tori, who I had never used before. She did a great job on my hair and provided top-notch service! I will definitely be back! Thank you Christopher James for a great experience!

This salon is beautiful and relaxing. The staff always makes me feel at home. They work hard to accomodate my schedule, which is important for a busy mom. Most important, my cut, color and Brazilian blowout is always perfect.

Gotta question the accuracy and authenticity of someone who admits that: 1) it was your first visit to visit the salon, 2) you were nervous about a drastic change in your hairstyle, and 3) you describe someone you don’t know as a hack. Seems overly dramatic and drenched in unreasonable expectations… As a father of teen daughters, we started going to Lesley a couple of years ago based on multiple recommendations from friends. We dutifully followed her over to Christopher James from her previous shop because she is the only stylist who consistently and continuously meets my girls’ approval. In fact, Lesley did my daughter’s hair for homecoming a couple of weeks ago and it looked great! Lesley has always been friendly, patient and professional. Your description of events is so far out of character for someone that my family and friends have known for years that I have a hard time believing this is truthful.

My stylist was Jackie, it was my first visit to this Salon and she did a great job, a true professional! I immediately made a second appointment with her. I highly recommend the Christopher James Hair Salon.

Dynamite new salon. They do wonders with colors, cuts & makeup. Best of all, they listen to their clients vision for their unique look.

The worst haircut Ive EVER had in in my life was from Jackie. DO NOT get your haircut from her unless you want a hackjob and told to trust her when you start asking questions. The very thing I did NOT ask for and was explicit about layers near my face, is exactly what this woman gave me and worse. I asked for layering in the back and told her not to touch the layers near my face as it took me YEARS to grow out. What does she do? Start chopping away years of regrowth (6 inches or more) as if its nothing. She asked me to remove my glasses for the cut and I shouldve NEVER listened to her. Not only was my beautiful long hair hacked into a million different non-sensical layers around my face that now look like Im growing out lopsided bangs, one side was shorter than the other and more hacked into than the other!! I went back in and another stylist tried to fix it, ( she also admitted the cut was lopsided) but how can you fix a hackjob? I absoltely HATE looking at myself in the mirror because all I see are ugly, chopped up, uneven layers all around my face that will now take years to grow out. It doesnt even look like a hairstyle. This woman should NOT be allowed to touch anyones hair-- ever. Words cannot describe the frustration and anger at allowing this woman to ever touch my hair. On top of not having any expertise in actually cutting hair, or listening skills, she doesnt even sharpen her scissors/shears, as the goofy lopsided layers she gave me two weeks ago are now littered with split ends! On top of it all Jackie was rude, argumentative and had the audacity to tell me to trust her and let her finish after I started asking what she was doing. If I can warn anyone and save them the heartache and frustration that I am dealing with because of her ineptitude, so be it. I only gave the salon one star because the owner was at least sorry and refunded my money.

I followed my stylist, Marion, from another salon and just finished texting her after getting the most compliments ever on my latest haircut. From the first time I ever met with her, she has achieved exactly what Ive wanted, with color, cut and style. I trust her to make suggestions that are always better than what I could come up with, and she always remembers what we did before. She cuts it so that I can always replicate her styling myself (almost, but thats MY problem;-) She also always remembers details that we chat about from appt. to appt...my kids, my job, etc. She always explains the products that she is using and offers them for purchase with no pressure, and she never makes me feel guilty about coloring my own hair in between her professional sessions:-) She is a great stylist in every way, and I would recommend her to anyone. Good find, Christopher James!

I would have given this establishment 5 stars, if not for Lesley (left side, farthest chair from the door).. To start: The Owner & establishment is well worth it. Hes a lovely gentleman, the place is classy, & he obviously knows how to please the customer.. I would not be writing this if not to warn future customers of the hack-artist Lesley.. It was my first visit & I was very nervous about a drastic change in my hairstyle and told her so.. I showed her a photo of what I wanted (yes, an actual photo, not just a vaguevdescription..a long bob with little to no layers - easy peasy, right?) & she affirmed that it was no problem (I should have taken her staring at my hair & brushing it through for a prolonged period of time as a sign to trust my gut & ask to switch stylists). Unfortunately, when she was done literally hacking my hair to bits, it was a mess (stray strands, un-flowing areas, one side longer than the other, the front side nowhere near the length I wanted it - WAY too short, etc). I unexpectedly start crying after Lesley turns defensive (attempting to convince me that its fine & to let her hack more off before I switch stylists to try to fix the mess she just made).. The Owner was an absolute champ & found me someone MUCH more knowledgeable (Thank You, Lyndsey!) to include covering the cost of the fix.. On top of which, the second stylist offered complimentary trims! I was relieved with the outcome & would recommend this establishment to anyone (with the acception of getting your hair done by Lesley). Its very well set up, nicely fragranced, lovely/professional staff (offered a beverage upon entering!) & the Owner is clearly willing to make things right in the face of something so wrong which right there is a 5 star experience, Im just sorry it started so horribly. 10/10 will go again.

I was so lucky to get a coveted last-minute appointment at Juliannes salon on a recent weekend trip to NM from SF. The salon is super cute and everyone was very nice and helpful, the service was very attentive and personalized, they use high quality products--well worth the price.

Owner was rude and abrupt with his staff, myself and my grandchild during a recent visit. I called to express my disappointment and discomfort with his behavior, and he took no responsibility for the problem. Further, he escalated the unprofessional, bullying behavior with his staff after my call. I would not recommend this salon based on Mr. James continuing arrogance and disregard for others.
