I have been going to these guys for years. i recently brought my 5th PC to these guys and continue to have one of the best experiences ever with any small business. The pricing seems to be lower or cheaper than most other shops. One thing I keep bringing my computers to these guys is they have been in business and in the computer industry for over 30 years. Its insane the wealth of knowledge they have. I had a stubborn technical issue no one could figure out, brought it to Marshall and within 2 days it was fixed and done. Knowing them better than a standard interaction with someone i know their ethics and operational values. The always are fair and do not rip people off Ive personally seen people who dont understand computers and technology try and low ball their charges. The amount of work done and quality always matches the price. Bottom line i cant say enough good things about Marshall and Marvin, the best techs and best team in town by far. Plus they are all around good guys.

Most shops charge about $30 for just the estimate. So that person that wrote the review that said she was ripped off must not understand PC repair or totally misunderstood. Go to any repair shop and see what you can get done for $30. I know Ive been using this shop for years. I just never published a review. I am now that I saw that ridiculous review while looking up there number,  yes I need them again.  Look at all the other reviews, thats how I feel. They always get the job done and for less then I was expecting.  Because I have been to other shops over the last 15 years I know what other reputable shops charge. Those guys rock period!

Hands down best Computer Shop in town. There work is always quality and thorough. Not to mention the very fair pricing. Ive had my computers in their shop many times and at times they were cheapest in town for the repair. Marshall cleaned up and removed some nasty malware and spent the time to make the older laptop to work nicely again..He went out of his way to come to our residence and install a printer back onto our laptop. Fair and honest company. Clean and concise work. Good customer service. Understanding and reasonably priced.

Called Feb 12 and was told bring computer in. Estimate of a week to diagnose and if needed, order parts.Followed up with a call on Feb 17, 23, 25 (3x),27, Mar 3, 9. Each time, I was told they would get back to me in a day or two about the diagnosis.On Mar 10, they texted a part number. Literally a month. I found other sources online for the part,ordered it myself, but ultimately part not available anywhere.I requested computer return on Mar 30. It took a week for them to put back 17 screws on the bottom. They charged $50.This is not covid- related. They have signs saying they are operating normally.Be prepared that they cannot keep promises to customers, will not return calls, timetables mentioned have no meaning, and that diagnosis alone will take a month.

I had good results and service on my aging computer. It took a while to pinpoint my problem but Marvin was persistent and repaired it for a reasonable price.

They were responsible for recovering files from a hard drive. Gave me a drive with the recovered files but when I tried to access the file it was corrupted. Returned to the store and they wanted to charge me a second time to try again. Blaming me the problem. DONT GO THERE!!! If possible would not give them 1 star.

This is the finest computer repair company in ABQ. Hands down! Marshall was able to recover all of the data I had lost when my external hard drive decided to croak after 12 years of audio pleasure. I had over 60,000 songs stored. I am as happy as a clam to have all my music again. This company is so professional, knowledgeable, curtious, helpful, affordable and totally honest. I wish everyone could have the same experience I was fortunate to have had. I do believe I have a friend for life. Absolutely wonderful experience and outcome for this professional filmmaker and photographer. I recently had a hard drive containing over 5 TB of videos and photos suddenly and mysteriously go bad. Marvin worked for three weeks to find a solution to save and recover all of my data. He went above and beyond and was able to return to me what I lost for an extremely reasonable price. This was my first experience working with a computer repair shop in ABQ, and now this will be exactly where I go if I ever have another issue. I highly recommend this shop for professional and personal computer issues.

Very unhappy with ABQ computer repair I took my computer in few months ago payed $260 was high priced however had to take it in again for a corrupted user Marshall told me he would only charge me $30.00 and it would only take a day or two, 3 weeks later And $180 when I asked him why was charged so much was just told minor nothing DONOT TAKE UR DEVICES HERE YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF

Extremely satisfied with the level of service I received here. I love that the guy who helped me writes down what needs to be done still uses CC paper receipts. He says hell call you when its ready to be picked up, and he actually calls you. Great follow through. Super rare quality these days. Way better then Best Buy Geek Sqad.

Marv is one of the best techs in this town. Ive been repairing computers since 1996 and he taught me so much hands on work it improved my knowledge tremendously. I saw a review on here stating that this shop lies and overcharges for services. Ive known Marv since 2007 and have never known him to overcharge anyone. When I worked for him we were required to call the customer with a quote before we completed work. He is the most honest man that I know in the industry. I would highly recommend him for all computer and printer repair. I am an A+ certified technician.

They have free diagnosis or you can pay a fee for rush diagnosis. Overall good customer service. I paid for the rush fee check up, but I was the one calling them for the updates. Including with the rush fee it took them 4 days in total for the diagnosis & to tell me the cost of the part. I was unaware of the quote fee, they give me a quote of how much its going to cost the part (not labor) and how long it would take for them to get it, I was charge for that. Which they didnt told me about that charge, so when I went to pic up my laptop, I was surprised with it.

My husband’s work computer suddenly stopped working and would not turn on at all. Because of the current state of the world, all of his business is conducted through his laptop and he was in a panic. Just wanted to say that Marvin knows his trade! I ordered a screen for my computer from Amazon only to find out it was the wrong screen even though the serial numbers matched on the website. Went to Marvin and not only was he able to get me the correct screen, he made sure it was the correct one by installing it on my compute. Perfect fit! Oh by the way, he wasnt much higher than Amazon. Early Last week I called ABQ Computer Repair because I had a few concerns with my PC. The technician that took my call was He was very respectful and polite over the phone. He let me explain the issues i was having and suggested possible solutions. He actually listen to the problems i was having. You can tell he was very knowledgeable about computers and actually cared about helping me rather than shutting me down over the phone. I was very impressed with the great customer service he provided me. As soon as i got off the phone i took my computer in immediately. Marvin checked in the computer and called me with updates with my computer. Took my computer to have the hard drive repaired, but didnt know that I had an extended warranty from Dell. Once I found out I simply went back to the store and explained the situation, they were not only understanding but quickly put my computer back together, not to mention they have no diagnostic fee. By far the best computer repair shop in New Mexico and very fairly priced and honest. If anyone I know needs a computer repaired this is the only store I would recommend.

Horrible experience with this shop. Took my laptop to have some soldering done and i needed it in 5 days, they said it was not a problem. They offered to replace the mother board for $30 so i agreed. Part didnt show up in time do i didnt have the computer in the time i needed it.(this i understand) they said they would discount me for not having it on time. Came back from my business trip 12 days later, computer had the wrong mother board with no speaker output, they offered to order the correct one and wanted to charge me for their mistake. They also had to order a new switch after their damaged it and tried to charge me for having to order it. 4 days later when i come back to pick it up they tried to charge me way more than they quoted me and applied a discount acting like they were doing me a favor. After arguing with them i got my laptop 3 weeks later finally at the price they quoted with out any discounts they promised for not having it when they promised.

I am a System Admin at a Fortune 500 Company here in abq and have been in this industry all my life. ITs a Long time coming to give these geniuses a review so here it is. They have helped me out of what i thought impossible jams. Based on my decades of workings with these guys, knowing their skill set as well as how they conduct business, you simply wont find better in New Mexico.- On a side note i find it shocking and misleading what the user before me wrote in his review. I was recently scammed and screen-shared with some very bad hombres. I was referred to Marvin by a friend, and I pass along that recommendation to anyone who needs expert computer help. He took my MacBook to the cleaners and ridded me of multiple viruses. He recommended free, safe apps for continued maintenance. And he didnt charge me an arm and a leg. What a great result to a nasty problem!

This company tried for over a week to recover my hard drive which had crashed. They tried several different software recovery programs, other tricks, hours and hours of trying. And then they said no charge for the recovery because it didnt work. I insisted they charge for the time and labor which they did at a minimum. I cannot express how highly I value them. Many kudos to them.I heartily and without any reservation recommend them to everybody.

Ive dealt with this store intermittently over a period of many years, and all I can say is that Marvin rocks. Do NOT, repeat do NOT consider the manufacture making repairs. Sony quoted me 600 + shipping (this thru the Geek squad, who incidentally managed to lose the laptop for 2 months). abqcomprepair replaced the MB for less than a third of that. All transactions since have been flawless, and here is a guy willing to go the extra mile to find some funky proprietary mounting adapter for a laptop hard drive. Great shop--no pressure. A true pleasure doing business and that it is rarer than hens teeth these days.

I was told repairs are generally 80-150 at the most. After the diagnosis which I was told was free, I was told the repair would be 250 and up!!! I naturally refused and went to get my laptop back. The owner (who carries around a tiny dog in a dress), attempted to charge me 15 bucks out of nowhere even though he said diagnosis was free.I HAD TO THREATEN CALLING OUR BUSY POLICE FORCE JUST TO GET MY LABTOP BACK FROM THIS UNJUSTIFIED OWNER. Buyers beware!!!!! This company names their own price and exploits your bank account. I encourage and implore you to watch videos on repairs and try to do it yourself. These guys will Rob you!!!! Theres a reason theres dust on every counter there 😉In response to the owners most recent post....you sir did not discount anything! You told me the diagnosis was free and that prices there are 150 bucks tops!!! When I came back and saw that your educated quote was increased by 150%, I asked for my property back. I am dependent on the internet for my work. After a long day working, I turned on the computer to document my work and there was no internet connection. I frantically texted Marvin who called me back on a Saturday night and tried for over an hour to identify and fix the problem to no avail. Knowing how important it was to me, he came to my home on a Sunday before going to a holiday party to fix the problem and restore the internet. But Marvin is never satisfied to fix only one problem. He installed software to keep my computer running properly and took the time to explain the process.Here is a man who really cares about his customers, goes above and beyond and brings an expertise that is rare to find.at reasonable rates.
