Had an appointment with Perla. Laptop has charging issues. She gave me options, but we determined it would be more cost-effective to just get a new laptop.Was helped by Roberto looking over the laptops, got ideas for a suitable replacement with similar size, features, and specs. Gonna weigh my options, but would come back here again thanks to the stellar support.
If you have T-Mobile and assurance. Don’t bother, even with Apple care . I sat for almost an hour and he said he could fix the screen and . I’m just so disappointed in T-Mobile, the geek squad, and this third party no one is accountable triangle they force you into . I’ve been paying for months, customer for 5 years . I’m just so genuinely hurt and let down. I had a hard enough week and now I just give up

Destin the Assistant store manager was so very helpful! While traveling through dropped off my new laptop that was having issues. They couldn’t be repaired and it needs to be sent off to the manufacturer. As we’re traveling that’s a problem. However, with Destin’s help we came up with a workable solution.
When I called there was no answer. However, I was calling five minutes before they were closing and wasnt aware of it at the time.
Still currently on hold and I just love how you need to spend so much time talking with robots just to never have someone answer.

Theyre always so quick and friendly. Drop off your item, and pick it up in no time. Theyve always been on time and have fixed every issue Ive ever brought to them. The service is an amazing service with reasonable prices. They set up appointments super quick and have a consultation with you before they begin work. A definite ten out of ten service and reliability.
Not impressed.I made an appointment. Showed up, showed the rep my laptop, and he determined what was needed to be done. Cool.24 hours later, I get a call asking what it is they need to do to my laptop. Really? Isn’t that what the appointment the previous day was for? So, we’re already a day behind.Two days later, they call telling me my hard drive is fried. So, we’re up to 3 days now. Was it fried before or after I brought it in? It ran super slow, but still ran.Four more days go by, and it’s ready. Up to 3 days in reality is 7 days here. And I have to schedule an appointment to pick up my laptop? And I have to wait 3 more days?? Make it 10 days. Not cool.This experience was a giant headache.
Not impressed. They couldnt even run a diagnostic on my sons phone. We took it to Apple the next day and it us as good as new! Sorry Geek squad, you didnt cut it this time
My mother recently went to visit the Geek Squad to have them look at a Samsung tablet which would not power on. The tech attached power to the tablet, attempted to power it on, could not, advised my mother there was nothing else they could do, and then steered her towards buying a comparable replacement. My mother then gave me her old tablet to see if there was anything I could do with it. I did a hard reset on the tablet and it started right back up on battery power.This is Tech 101, people. It took me 10 seconds to fix what Geek Squad could not (or would not) in five minutes or so worth of troubleshooting theatrics.Dont lose sight of the fact that Best Buy is a retail store first and foremost, and repair service is only incidental to their bottom line. They would rather sell you something new than fix what you already have.
Needed a bunch of user interface stuff done on an older computer. Chase was extremely helpful and patient--and got everything done real time. Having the Geek Squad 24/7 support plan was a real plus.
Called about problems with wi-fi adapter needing Troubleshoot for going off line several times a day. Was told it was hardware and expect 3 week turnaround as we only do software. Went online and found many suggestions as to how to address the problem with driver update. Problem seems to be solved. Not sure what value my Geed Squad contract has...

Horrible on every level. Rude, disrespectful and and without even basic knowledge. They will lie, cheat and steal! Stay away from this location even if you have to go all the way across town. Google needs to create a minus rating for companies like Geek Squad. This is an awful location. Trash!!!!!!!!!!!!
My husband and I paid and scheduled an appointment to have our new tv put in. We take down our old one and get things set. We put our cat in the kennel. The day comes, and we get an email almost an hour into our paid time saying there is an issue with our scheduling. $200 dollars for delays and poor customer service. This is unacceptable and if the time slot is not available, it should not be an option. I would not recommend Geek Squad to anyone after what has happened to us. This is unprofessional and also a falsely advertised service. Used to love Geek Squad. Now... I wouldnt use the service even if I had a gift card.
Called to check if they could repair the charging port on my JBL pulse portable speaker and the guy just responded We dont do that sir. Yet their webpage says otherwise. No wonder they only have 2 stars.

Made an appointment there to get my ipod screen repaired & when I get there for the appointment they tell me they dont do ipod screens. Then why didnt you tell me that when I made the appointment? What a waste of time.
I gave my laptop to Geek Squad to fix a problem, since my laptop was under warranty at Best Buy. About two weeks later, they returned my laptop to me, having sent it to their service center. They claimed to have fixed the problem, but were unable to explain what exactly had caused the problem to begin with. Within an hour of using my laptop again, the exact problem for which I had taken it in appeared. Three hours after receiving my laptop back from Geek Squad, I was giving it back to them to send back to their service center. When bringing my laptop back a second time, the agents at the store could not figure out what the service techs in Kentucky had done to my laptop to repair it. Ive had no choice but to send my laptop back to their service center, as my laptop is still under warranty.

Do not get the geek squad protection plan. They now charge a $150 deductable on any smart phone for repairs or replacement. This was never the case as Ive purchased several phones from best buy. If you had a problem then they would fix or replace it at no charge. Guess they changed policies and did not alert anybody because I am vigilante when it comes to checking my emails and messages. Ive cancelled all geek squad protection on my businesses phones and have current insurance with my provider, Verizon. Beware.

Ignore the fair above it was overall poor. I trusted they would get it fixed but after sending my laptop off on 11/06/12 and eventually getting a call its back on 11/29/12, with excitment I drive to pick it up, but to my dismay its doing exactly same thing I brought it in for and on top of that they expected me to pay $99.99 for a hard drive back up, me being the victim to this situation I thought theyd at least offer free back up since the computer crapping on me (hardware, under warranty) isnt my fault. So Im sending it off again to get repaired (12/03/12) hopefully when I get it back it will be repaired. Until then Im leaving this review up.

Dont waste your time! Theyve changed their policies & theyre NOT good. Took my laptop here recently after attempting to take it to a mom & pop in town. Got attitude from a tech at the mom & pop, & a huge run-around from Geek Squad basically mandating I sign up for a ridiculous costly membership in order to fix my computer. Are you kidding me? I just want my freakin computer fixed! I dont know which is worse, the time wasting, costly, sign-your-life-away constraints or a rude tech? Where can I go where I get someone to fix my computer that is not condescending & doesnt want anything more than a name & phone number where they can reach me to tell me its fixed & you owe this amount, no strings attached?
Their driver almost hit me trying to get in front of me! Safety first!
