Needed another key with fob for my Audi, dealership wanted to change over $700 for key, cutting key, and programming. Was recommended by a friend to go to Hans and they are almost one of the only places that will work with my Audi. Didn’t like that i was charged $135 for a 10 minute key programming plus price of key but needed it done. All of my big repairs or maintenance will be done through Hans!

Theres a reason they have so many good ratings.You know you have a good mechanic when they investigate whether or not a part needs to be replaced vs if they can just adjust/fix it and save you money while making less money themselves. In my case it was the camshaft position/ timing sensors, which just needed to be cleaned rather than replaced. That alone saved me about $700. They also told me about upcoming future repairs, and which of these were mandatory fixes and which ones were just fixing various bells and whistles on my BMW.I appreciate their honesty and strongly recommend their services.

Just went in to set up an appointment for my 2016 Mercedes-Benz E350 Sport for a rear brake job, transmission fluid flush, oil change and tire rotation. Ive been dealing with Hans Wittlers Automotive for about a year and I can say they have taken care of my car needs with much respect and professionalism. Ive had to deal with the Mercedes Benz dealership and Hans and the workmanship is pretty comparable without the dealership cost being more. Hans Wittler has 2 locations to choose from and this will be my first experience at this location. I have a co-worker that swears by this location so Ive decided to give them a try. These guys are trustworthy, reliable, honest and wondrous! The dealership had worked on my Audi Q5 twice (2016 & 2018) under a recall in connection with my fuel pump. Go figure yet another disastrous problem with.... the fuel pump! which the dealership basically washed their hands of it, stating no warranty and beyond their obligation. WOW! really? if youve already worked on the same issue twice and it reappears yet again, Im thinking its indicative of you not fixing the problem. So much for the dealership and THANK YOU! Hans Wittler! who remedied the problem, yes rather expensive of course, however when they tell you something, it is truly the actual problem and most significantly, the remedy for the problem. They back their work with, in my case, a 3 year warranty and additional info and a path to fix other issues. Unfortunately, my only difficulty is not having a loaner car or a ride to home/office while they are working on the car. That said, I still would not EVER go anywhere else but Hans Wittler nor do I trust anyone else to rely on for an honest and clear answer to any mechanical issue with my Audi.

Great service and great job! Replaced transmission on VW and also stuck with finding an electrical wiring issue which had been an issue for a long time. One that other shops had not been able to find.

Wow! Great customer service, professional, very clean facility and suspension repair was 1/2 the price the dealer quoted me. Topped off all the fluids added Freon, vacuumed and washed my car all at no charge!!! The waiting room has a kids play area and free refreshments available while you wait Thank you Marcus! All future repairs will be done at Hans Wittler Automotive.

If I could give 10 stars for this automotive shop I would. Knowing they specialize in german cars- they still worked on my Lincoln. I was able to get my oil changed in a timely manner by Bryan and was so happy with the work he did. Marcus and Taylor are amazing too; they always have a smile on their face and display a high level of professionalism. Overall the whole staff is super friendly! Highly recommend this establishment to all luxury car owners!

This is a mechanics shop you can trust. They explain what is needed and why, and what is there but is not vital. I had a bad experience with my mini and Marcus at Hans Wittler was more fair and professional - he was kind. Their work is first rate.

These folks take great care of me. While completing my vehicles emissions test, someone noticed that one of my tail lights was out. They replaced it at no additional charge. The north location, on Wilshire, is close to my home so thats where I go. They have a clean, comfortable waiting room. the staff is courteous and thoughtful. I really appreciate their care.

Honestly, I’m not hard to make happy. I’m easily impressed, and overlook bad service because it’s easy to have a bad day. Having said all that - i can not get my arms around all the positive reviews here - if I could leave zero stars I would. Based on my experience, I have to say DO NOT take your vehicle to Hans Wittler, at least not this location.We scheduled an appointment for last Monday, three days in advance. Dropped it off first thing in the morning on the day of the appointment. Two days later (Tuesday evening) I hadn’t heard a thing (nothing) from them so I called. Marcus (service rep) said they only had one VW specialist and he was working on other cars, but they were going to try to take a look at it the following day. Wednesday evening (day 3) I call and he says they’ve taken a look at it and it could be one of a couple possible sensors or a bad cam shaft. Evidently they don’t have the VW VAGCOM system diagnostics, or you’d definitively be able to isolate the problem.Thursday morning I call to check status and Marcus says they’re ordering a new sensor and the part arrives Friday and they should have it done Friday. Never hear back from them after that.Monday morning I call and they say they’re getting ready to start on and it should be ready by the end of the day. Monday evening I call to see if I can send my daughter to pick it up - Marcus tells me there was a mistake “we ordered the right part, but the dealership put the wrong part in the box, it’s the right box, wrong part in the box, we won’t get the right part until Wednesday.”EIGHT FULL DAYS they had my Passat - three days before they even looked at it, five days to order and install a common sensor and eight days into it they still have my car and haven’t even started on it! I told them not to touch it - I was sending my daughter to pick up the car and take it to a reputable repair place.It cost us hundreds of dollars for my daughter to Uber around for a week and I barely got a half a** apology. I though I’d save a little on labor - I know there are lots of good reviews here, but In my experience, do yourself a favor and take your vehicle to University VW or a dealership. You’ll be glad you did. It’s obvious they’ve forgotten what it means to take care of a customer when you’re in the service industry. I’m really hoping somebody at Hans Wittler tries to dispute anything written here. Too bad really, when the dad had the business, it was pretty good by most accounts.

Ive been coming here for a few years and the team here always does a great job. I recently had them replace the rod bearings in my E92 M3 which is quite a big job and requires very meticulous detail with torque specs, reassembly, etc. and they did a phenomenal job! They were also very patient with me as I asked them several questions regarding the process. Highly recommended for sure!

These guys are awesome, I also had some after market work done that some mechanics were unwilling to take on. They handled it without question and were more thorough than I expected. If you have a Euro, I would make this your first stop.

Tested a few things. Fixed what needed to be fixed, didnt fix things that didnt need it (despite the fact that I went in incorrectly asking for certain repairs). Cars driving nice and smooth now. Will be a returning customer.

Drivers side door would not open. They got it opened and replaced the electronics in the door fora very reasonable price. Carwasspotless when I got it back. Usually mechanics leave smudged or liners in the car. I am very happy. I will be back withy BMW.

Also, you can not call the service center directly, you have to leave a message with a call center or leave a voice mail and hope they call you back in a reasonable time to let you know when your car will be ready. Even though I am biased because I went to school with the owners and have witnessed their expertise for over thirty years, they were much less than half the price of the dealer. Ive heard amazing things about this place for a long time. My 07 650i had a split in the expansion tank and as a first time owner of a BMW I was extremely stressed about cost and the time it would take to fix. Marcus and his team were absolutely amazing, not only did they best Sandia BMW by actually calling me back and getting me a quote they also allowed me to bring my own part to help on cost and had the car the same day. This is my daily driver so being able have my car back that quickly, and to come in under what I was quoted helped me out more than they know. Thank to Marcus for working with me. They performed an oil change and winter inspection and when they discovered a problem with my thermostat, they encouraged me to go back to the dealership and see if they would cover it before using them to fix the problem. The Wittlers have been servicing my Porches and BMWs since I bought my 80 SC Targa IN 82. I just bought my second 911, a 2014 Carrera 4 S Cabriolet, and theyll be doing it all for that car once its out of CPO warranty. Since the service isnt included in that warranty, theyll be doing that from this point on, too.Suffice it to say, I trust them to do the right work for the right price.Theyve recently opened a 2nd shop on Wilshire a couple of blocks south of Alameda between San Pedro and the I-25 access road. Thats closer to Corrales than the original location between Chico and Central on Elizabeth, and Im happy about that. Between the two locations, one should work for you.If you are in the market for an independent mechanic, give Wittlers a try, especially if you have a German performance vehicle.

Had a good experience last year so I returned for an oil change and to replace the battery that they noticed last year. Easy to get an appointment, pretty quick turn around time and everything worked when I left. Everyone except the dog wore appropriate COVID masks.

Appear honest and straightforward about repairs. When I asked what to expect for maintenance, they do not add any extra stuff- they seem to be straight shooters. They service my 2012 Mini Cooper.

Hans Wittler went above and beyond to help figure out what was wrong with our daughters car. Turns out the car was dead but they diagnosed the issue efficiently and their services were absolutely reasonable.
