My family and I always use him! His is very trustworthy and loyal. Very good at what he does and gets it done in a great time! On top of literally doing everything on my car my cat got suck under my seat and he went out of his way to help get the seat off and get him out. Highly recommend this outstanding service!

I reviewed this business previously and gave it a good rating; however, after taking my wifes car to him several times to fix the brakes, I changed my mind about the services rendered. My wifes cars oil pump gave out. She had it towed to this business because they previously did major work on the engine (very expensive). After diagnosing the problem, she was told that there was nothing wrong with the engine and that it was okay to drive it. This was the worst advice I have ever heard a mechanic give to someone who has a vision impairment (my wife has a prosthetic eye and has poor vision). She attempted to drive her car home and her engine gave out in the middle of the freeway. They literally placed her life in danger just because they did not want to honor their warranty by telling her there was nothing wrong with it. We had a different mechanic look at it and he immediately diagnosed the bad oil pump five seconds after hearing it running. We had to replace the engine because of their lazy attempt to determine the problem AND almost got my wife killed (we are in our late 50s so breaking down in the middle of the freeway is dangerous to ANYONE especially a senior citizen like my wife). This was not the only thing they have done that made me change my mind about ever using this business for my car repairs ever again. There are more incidents that I could literally write a short book about that would make your stomach turn. But for the purpose of this review, Im going to only mention this one incident. I would NOT recommend anyone to take their car or truck to this business. I know someone who knows this mechanic personally and they confirmed his character defects and also stated that they no longer use his services. After inspecting my wifes car before we bought it, this mechanic stated that it was a good vehicle to purchase for the price ($2000.00). So we took him at his word and bought it. Turns out the engine was overheated and it cost us an additional $4500.00 to get it running. Now, after blowing the engine due to this mechanics negligence, it is going to cost an additional $2500.00 to replace the engine (and thats a good price using a new mechanic who knows his craft way better than Sheflones Auto). I wish we never would have bought this new car. It was bad advice on Sheflones part. Our old car (which Shefone could not fix - cold starting problems in winter) was a better vehicle than this new lemon we have now and we could have saved $8000.00 by not listening to his advice. Or bought a fairly new car for that amount of money. Im VERY disappointed with this business. And I hope Karma pays him a visit soon so he can get a taste of his own medicine.Mike V.Albuquerque, NM

The owner, David, is incredible and deserves more than 5 stars. We were stranded 30 minutes outside of Albuquerque from a broken serpentine belt. When we called to see if we would still be able to have our car towed there after hours he drove out to pick all 5 (2 of which are toddlers) of us up, waited until the tow truck came for our car (gave the tow truck better directions to find us), was calm and patient with the 2 toddlers who cried all the way back into town, picked up the serpentine belt, and fixed our car in the same night. His charge is more than fair. He is honorable, caring and professional.

I highly recommend Sheflones Repair where we found one can expect to receive knowledgeable, honest and prompt service. We arrived at his shop on a tow truck very early one morning. Traveling from out of state, we experienced what I suspected was wheel bearing going out on our vehicle about 40 miles out of Albuquerque and had to call a tow truck. Fortunately, the tow driver recommended Sheflones as their preferred repair shop (Thank you Chris with All Pro Towing!!!). In fact, he called ahead to be sure David was there and able to help us. David was great!!! This is a mechanic with honesty and integrity!!! Upon a thorough investigation of 30 + minutes, David discovered instead of a wheel bearing the noise was coming from loose lug nuts on the driver’s side front wheel. He asked if we had had the tires rotated recently and we said yes. He could have pretended to fix wheel bearings and tighten the lug nuts, (we would have been none the wiser). Instead he did the honest thing to make us aware of the real problem and tightened the lug nuts on the rest of the wheels. When it was time to pay, he did not charge us anything for his expertise, time, and service!!! After a small tip we were on our way. I wish he was in our state!!! Thank you David.

Wow!! David is such a great owner and really helped us out on our roadtrip from Tampa, FL to Boise, ID when we had a car issue he stayed late to help us out even during Covid 19.. I couldnt recommend this place high enough!! 10/10 would recommend

The best shop Ive been to and Ive been to a lot. Dave and his crew got my van running so good after I had overheating issues and was stranded. They replaced everything that needed replacing and its been running good since. I highly recommend.... fair prices and good people

Have been going to Daves shop since I moved to Albuquerque in 2010. Dave is the only honest mechanics that I have met.My first visit he charged me $0.00 because all he did was cut a few inches off of a hose that was too long, so the car would pass emissions, which it did. Dave will always tell you whats what, and will go out of his way to make his work affordable. Always have and always will recommend Daves shop over other places, especially since he is trained to work on almost every make and model vehicle.

I took my car to different places where others mad it worse. I met David, a true upstanding citizen, a great person. He helped us with a heck of a deal, and our vehicle is purring like a kitten. Thanks for your great work. Ill definitely be returned if I need work on my vehicles. Check him out, you wont be disappointed.

Superb Service! David gave me a labour only quote for doing a wheel bearing replacement on my Honda (I supplied the part). When the hub wouldnt separate he communicated that to me in a timely manner, and sourced a hub replacement. Whole job was done by 1pm and the cost was less than $300 including the extra part! Amazing and very happy to recommend him to others.

This was my review the first time we used Sheflones Auto:This company is knowledgeable and can come thru with their promises. I highly recommend them.Today we took all our work truck fleet to them to change oil and look at them for misc issues. Each trip, drop one truck off and pick up another, definitely exceeded our expectations. We actually got to see the cracked belts and bad air filters we never look at day to day. The quick turn around was impressive and I feel comfortable to leave town to do some work up north with no breakdowns. I again highly recommend Sheflones Auto!

My wife and I flew out to LA to pick up a car we purchased. On our way back to texas we stopped about 20 miles outside of Albuquerque for gas. After getting about 10 miles farther the car began to run like crap. We stopped at a Napa Auto parts (tried a fuel stabilizer and a octane booster not much change) the clerk at Napa suggested a couple of places this was one of them they were right around the corner. They removed and tested some of the fuel. It was obvious the fuel was old and stale. After syphoning it all out and changing the plugs ( older 350 not fuel injected) they tuned my carb a little and we were back on the road in a couple of hours. The owner is a straight shooter. If you need a mechanic go here. His help er was a very nice guy as well. Thank you both for everything. I hate mentioning price but his rate was fair he could have gouged us. knowing we were on the road.
