Battery problems from the cold weather resulted in the car having to be delivered to an automotive garage.  It was recommended I call Virgils to get a tow.  The office personnel there were very courteous and helpful.  The truck came promptly at the scheduled time.  I just left the keys in the car, so I didnt have to even go outside.  I was billed through the garage and paid everything there with one transaction.  It doesnt get any easier.  Thank you for your service!

My wife got into an accident this morning. The police arrived and said they had a tow on its way. Virgils showed up and towed the car 2.5 blocks (0.5 miles) back to our house and charged her $686.50!! We are AAA members but they wouldnt accept that because the driver said we had to call it in before the officer did. This is robbery! My dad runs a collision repair shop in the area and said he has never is his 30+ years seen a tow bill that high for what was involved. I know a few other people in the area that have gotten ripped off by this company. I have an attorney friend Im going to talk to because this is truly price gouging. There is not a towing company in southern MN that would charge this much! If anyone else has any huge bills like this from this company message me them.

GREAT SERVICE. AAA SAID HELP WOULD BE THERE IN 1/2 HOUR. THE HELP ARRIVED IN 10 MINUTES. HE CHANGED OUR TIRE AND HAD US FOLLOW HIM TO THE TIRE STORE. THE FELLOW THAT HELPED US WAS VERY PLEASANT AND PROFESSIONAL. HE REALLY WENT OVER AND ABOVE WHAT WAS ASKED OF HIM!!

Virgils Tow n Travel was wonderful to work with! The car is a hybrid and can only be serviced by a specialty trained certified hybrid technician. With the car loaded and on the way to the dealership service department we were alerted that it had to be rerouted to the specialized service site 80 miles away. Virgils Tow n Travel staff and driver were patient and had no problems rerouting the haul. I will definitely use Virgils again!

Great customer service! Got off work, came out to see I had a flat tire. At this time its 5:15, most shops are closed. Called Virgils Cecil showed up soon after. Very nice and friendly. Changed my tire and made sure me drive home was safe. Great company, would strongly recommend them to anyone!!!

I wouldnt give this company any Stars. My van was stolen and totaled. A.l.p.d had Virgals tow it. This place charged me 785$ to get my property out! I go back to look 4 my mothers ashes and an employee asked what I was gonna do with the van. I told him since I didnt have the means to get it that day, I assumed they were keeping it. This guy says Ill give you a couple days to figure it out. He told me two companies that would pick it up and pay me. I even asked if they were gonna charge me storage and he said no. I had it all set up for a salvage yard to pick it up. 300 is what he called back telling me he would give me. Salvage yard called me right back saying Virgals Now wants A storage fee. To take my van to the junkyard... I had to pay 385 to only recipient Receive 300! Outrageous! No heart..

MY INSURANCE ROAD SIDE SERVICE TOOK 3 HOURS ( THEY SENT TOW TRUCK TO FORREST LAKE INSTEAD OF ALBERT LEA) VIRGILS WERE THERE IN 20 MIN...I CALLED MYSELF, GOT A HUGE CASH DISCOUNT. THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER WAS KIND AND HAD MY DOOR OPEN IN LESS THEN 2 MINUTES!!!!! THESE GUYS ARE THE BEST!!!

This letter is a long time coming. On 08/02/2020 my car died on I-35 North. I was heading to Rochester when my car lost power. I had a hard time trying to get any assistance. I sat at the edge of the road for over an hour. Suddenly when I was about ready to go nuts a very nice man named Cecil came along behind me. He had seen me stranded while traveling to Mason City. When he was returning from Mason City he saw that I was still on the side of the road and stopped behind me to help me. After losing it(sobbing) for a minute he stated he was able to get me home. We stopped in Albert Lea to get gas and I could use the restroom and get something to drink. We then departed to Rochester and my care was delivered to Virgils there. Cecil was so understanding and when I thought I would have slept all the way we had a very nice chat which passed the time rather nicely. I can never thank him enough for coming to my aide. My angles were watching over me and Cecil came along. If I ever need towing again I will especially ask for Cecil. Thanks again, Cindi Otterson

We experienced car trouble on I-90, just outside of Albert Lea on our way to Mayo. We called Virgil’s at the recommendation of local resident. We were not disappointed—they were so helpful! Since we didn’t have any other way around, our truck driver dropped us at our hotel before taking our car to a shop for repairs, even during all this COVID-stuff. They went above and beyond and our family is very grateful. I would highly recommend them.

I needed a tow on the side of 35E in Eagan. Breakdown occurred just before 8am and it was around 8:30am when I got through my insurance and AAA with Virgil’s setup. I received a text stating Virgil’s Duluth has accepted the call and it would be 45 minutes. I waited about 50 minutes and called was told they were finishing up the previous job. It took 3.5 hours before they arrived and every time I called I was told it would be 20 or 25 minutes - even the DOT guy waiting with me demanded to know where they were at - he had come back after 2 hours and continued to wait with me for another hour. I have no complaints about Alan, he was great, polite, and loaded my truck carefully. Based on my experience with their dispatch I can not recommend Virgil’s.

My driver was most kind and understanding. There is a lot of stress involved when youre sitting broken down on the side of the road. I think Ryan was the name of the guy who showed up to help me. He tried several things to get it started but was beyond a simple jump start. He then ended up loading it onto a flatbed, which took sometime to figure out how to move it because of the electrical issue the pickup couldnt be shifted out of park, but he figured it out got it loaded and dropped off at dealership. Service was very fast to show up and he did an excellent job!

My car battery completely died and I was stuck parked in between vehicles, didn’t have a way to jump my car, Virgil’s to the rescue! They were very friendly, took a look at my battery, suggested that it might be time for a new one based on the corrosion and that it hasn’t been changed in a few years. It only took a couple minutes and my car was running again!

While traveling to St. Paul MN yesterday (Friday 1/10/2020), I had a flat tire in Albert Lea MN. I contacted your dispatcher and she was polite, friendly and so helpful. She explained your chargers to me and that she would contact the driver. I was then contacted by the driver Roger to let me know he was on his way and confirm my location. Roger was so friendly and helpful. He changed the flat and moved the back tire to the front and the donut on the back. He was done in no time! Made a bad situation GOOD!

When the battery in our Taurus died & left us stranded in a parking lot Cecil picked us and the car up and delivered us to a repair facility. Very friendly, professional and accommodating.

I was on I-90 East going back to Saint Paul from Fairmont, MN (02/02/2020) when my wheel bearings on my truck went out. The gentleman (Allen?) who answered my call was very helpful along with Roger, who came to the rescue. I was glad to see that Roger came with a flatbed because my truck needed to be on one to get towed. They made sure we were safe, warm and ok until Roger arrived. Just left the key in my daughter in laws car with her shih tzu. Yep, he locked the doors! Ughh...no worries, I have AAA. Called AAA while I went to get my AAA card from my car in Emmons. Thought you had to show it. (BYW, it was not necessary to show my AAA card if I had my driver’s license.) AAA dispatched Tow and Travel IMMEDIATELY!Tow and Travel called as I am just leaving Emmons to come back with my AAA card. I told the young man I wouldn’t be there for about 20 minutes. Griffin said he would go and open the van. I told him he could unlock it and leave the key under the front tire or somewhere else because I didn’t want to tie his time up.Ahhhh...Griffin sat with the dog till I got there. Now that was above and beyond anything I ever expected. **Would also like to mention it was a beautiful day, not too hot and not too cold. The dog was never in danger of either of the elements. His only fear was the dog Inside the home.

I locked myself out of my truck with it running about 15 miles out of town at a farmplace on a Sunday evening after 5pm. The rep from TownTravel was out there within 30 minutes of my call and our family was on our way. I paid a fair price for nearly immediate service and the fellow who came was professional, took care not to damage the truck, and had us in within ten minutes of arriving. Its easy to gripe when you are in a tough spot, especially when youve gotten yourself into it through your own oversight or misjudgement and it will cost you $$ to deal with it....but this company earned my money and they did right by my family. It wasnt their fault that I made a mistake and locked it up with the keys in it, but they did help me fix MY mistake, were polite, didnt have an unreasonable wait, and were fair priced. Thats good enough.

Ive lived here for 16 years and never had a reason to go here until my husbands car was totalled last week. We went to clean out the car and the people here were super to work with. They walked us through what we needed to do and the paperwork. They made an unpleasant situation easier to deal with.

Brutal, We had a driver slide slightly into the ditch and the police ordered us to tow our driver off the road because he was still partially hanging out on the road. Their tow truck got there and pulled our truck out in about 10 minutes. After the tow, we got an invoice for $850. This company clearly knew that this tow was police ordered and they knew they could up charge and get away with it. After we got the invoice i called in to figure out why the invoice was $850 and the guy began to challenge me about how his insurance is more expensive than mine. Entirely unprofessional and the whole process felt fraudulent

My dad got his car stuck on the edge of Albert Lea at about 5 p.m. on a Friday. I called and asked for an estimate on the cost. We wont know until we get there. They arrived within 15 minutes and once on site the tow truck driver had the car out of the ditch in less than 10 minutes. Speedy, efficient service. $91.70. Seemed like a lot to me, but maybe I am getting old.Then, two days later my son slid our car off the road and into a guard-rail, rendering it undriveable. It was Christmas Eve, 11 p.m., and Allens came right out and towed the car where we needed to take. Fast, efficient service on Christmas Eve. Thank you!
