The staff here is great. Always a nice looking cut. Sometimes the wait can be long.

This place was great on the first visit but we had to wait 90 minutes to even get one of my two boys in the chair on the second visit. Despite the photos I took and posted on their behalf (which have been viewed thousands of times), we were turned away on the third and fourth visits and sadly, we have not been back since. This is the only good barber shop around and everybody knows it so I do not understand why the hours are so inconvenient. Some days they close at 5:30 but if you arrive any later than 4:30, your hair is not getting cut... you will be turned away and told to come back another time. There is a Marine Corps base in this town, there is a need for good barber shop services off base. Roy should really consider extending his hours later into the evening and on Saturdays... maybe a few hours on Sunday afternoons? Marines habitually go for haircuts on Sundays and the few options that are actually open on Sundays, they all suck! This place doesnt take appointments and does not have a number system upon entry. Though they are a little pricey, Im always happy to pay a little more money for good service but if you factor in the long wait time, this place is just too expensive! As a courtesy to future patrons, please consider posting a Sorry, we are closed! sign if you reach capacity before closing time, thanks.

I was working in the area and needed to get my wig busted. I took a chance, knowing nothing of the place, and won. Big time! I sat in Joes chair and he masterfully cut my hair to perfection. A couple of simple instructions and he got busy clipping. The clippers have a vacuum tube attached so you dont get hair all down your collar. BOOYAH! I love that. We made great conversation, and the atmosphere was cordial and inviting. Overall the experience was fantastic and Id consider driving the 3 and a half hours just to do it again. Thanks, Joe! Who would’ve thought? The little town of Albany, GA would have the best haircut I’ve ever had. No joke. I’m from out of town and I’m here for 3 months for work and was worried about finding a good barber. Roy was fast! Their place is super clean. I hate barbershops that have hair all over the place. Their clippers vacuum the hair up, so it doesn’t get all over the place. I’ll definitely be back.

I am in Albany for a brief period and needed a haircut. After doing my due diligence and research, I chose this shop. It was a great choice. The haircut itself was among the best Ive had - he was friendly and attentively listened to my request, delivering exactly what I wanted and exceeding my expectations. The shop was run with perfection. Being in healthcare, I was particularly attentive to how things were handled amidst the current situation. The staff maintained the appropriate number of patrons (or less) in the shop at all times, completely wiped down and sanitized both chairs and instruments between clients, and were cognizant of all potential concerns. I will certainly return for a touch-up prior to my return home and offer my highest recommendation of this barber shop.

The young gent who cut my hair was great. $40 for a haircut and beard trim is about what I expect for this quality. They even have a vacuum system with their razors so that there is a lot less hair left over and you dont feel itchy and in need of an immediate shower! Very cool; dont see that very often. Thanks!

Ive lived in 7 different states and have gotten haircuts from all kinds of barber shops. Thus us the best barber shop in town and one of the top 3 barber shops Ive been to in those 7 states.

Way to expensive for the economy here in Albany. Granted, they do a good job and cut a good fade. I recommend visiting some other shops out of town, and learning from them. Just can’t see myself spending that much money on a haircut when I can to any other five locations here in Albany and get the same cut for $15

Went to this barbershop for the first time this morning. It was very clean and the staff was accommodating. Roy is the epitome of a professional. He was efficient, courteous, and friendly to everyone that came through. We had a great conversation throughout the cut, and it was somehow both the best AND fastest fade I’ve gotten in years. Be prepared to wait a little bit as it’s run traditionally, no appointments, no check-ins, just come sit and chat for a bit until it’s your turn! I’ll definitey be back.

My first visit and I found a home. Im 54 years and have not had paper placed around my neck and tucked over the cape since I was a young boy. The atmosphere and real barber chairs, awesome! Friendly staff who are excellent at their jobs, and at a reasonable price. In fact they are so good if you dont go during an off-peak time youll probably be waiting for 20-40 minutes due to the large number of people that trust them with their hair.

At the end of the day its a haircut. And although they may be good he keeps increasing his price to 23 which is ridiculous for Albany. Not to mention either haircut you get even though the sign says taper for $15, hes so greedy hell charge you the full $23. And Ive tried disputing this and theres no reason. Point being, its Albany GA and although he cuts a great haircut, and could go anywhere else just about and save myself $10-$12 . He will eventually be to expensive for more people. Sorry Roy just cant wrap my mind around spending that much for a cut that takes you 10 minutes and a conversation where you dont come up for air.
