Today, I needed a valve stem for my car. I went to Firestone and they could not fix my car until tomorrow. Then I went to Mavis. Not only did they do the work in a timely fashion, they also treated me with well. Very professional and understanding. I will definitely come back. Thank you Mavis.

I worked with Aaron today, and he was exceptionally helpful. He got me a great deal on brand new brakes. Firestone quoted me over $500 on a fix that at Mavis costs around $120. The fix was done in a timely fashion as well. All in all I had a great experience.

Eric on Central Ave was beyond accommodating. I showed up without an appointment and he was able to help me right away even though the location was extremely busy. He was kind and helpful and I’ll definitely be coming back the next time I need anything done.

Josh and the staff were really nice and made the experience really easy and quick. I went in with a low tire and they talked me through exactly what was wrong with the tire and got it fixed quicker than anticipated and for less than I was expecting. Would highly recommend and will be happy to bring my car there for future service

Professional and knowledgeable staff. Work completed with expected amount of time. Mechanic alerted me to work that will be needed to be done at a future time but brakes are fine at time of service this morning. He explained what to be aware of when braking so I would know what to listen for.

I worked with the assistant manager Richard on getting the service necessary for my vehicle today. On top of that, he went out of his way to give me the best and reasonable deal when the cost was getting higher than I expected to pay. Also on top of that, I thought he was personable to speak to where the conversation wasn’t strictly all business which made this a pleasant well rounded experience. This is all while he is juggling other customer issues effortlessly. Richard didn’t just help, he genuinely cared about the quality of the service experience.

Absolute quality service. Rich, the assistant manager was extremely helpful. John, the mechanic was a pro. Sad that they dont do AC yet but I hear thats going to change. Definitely going here again (not so soon I hope). Prices are better than anywhere else too.

Store customer service was great, would advise you not to use the website to book an appointment though. Booked appointment on Wednesday to get four tires two hours before my appointment today (Thursday) The company (not the store) canceled my reservation but never told me. The reason for the cancellation was that they did not have the tires I had ordered however they had a day in between when the order was made and when the appointment was to either contact me and tell me the tires were not available and give me a chance to either find a different location or a different tire or to get the tires that I had ordered to the store.

Josh gave me the best customer service I ever experience at a Car Shop! Josh inspected my tire and patched my tire up perfectly and quick. Josh Service is quick, efficient and friendly thank you for fixing my flat and getting me back on the road less then 15 minutes. Had the best Mavis experience from Josh!

Eric, Josh and the crew were awesome. I had a puncture in my tire, the tire was plugged and was done within an hour of being dropped off. They even swapped the tire back out with the spare that I put on the truck.

Absolutely amazing!! After leaving the other Mavis store on central ave very upset, I came to this location . They got me in right away despite their busy schedule. These people are great. Id recommend calling them instead of making an appointment online, you may get better prices with tires that are not shown on the website. The man who runs the front end is great as well. Fast service and will work with you with any issues or special instructions.

The experience I had dealing with this Mavis was unmatched and probably one of the best customer experiences I have ever had, especially considering I didnt even buy tires or get service from them.Ill keep the story short to save you all the pain, but if you wish not to read the story:You wont find a better tire shop experience than this Mavis.STORY: My friend and I were stranded 45 minutes away in upstate New York with a flat tire on a Sunday. We spent *literally* three and a half hours calling up tire shops (within a 50 mile radius) trying to find this specific tire size. We reached out to Richard at Mavis 1.5 hours into our dilemma. He told us they didnt have the tire just like everyone else, but That didnt stop him from helping. He spent the next hour and a half to two hours scrambling trying to find somebody that could help us and called us back multiple times to give an update. While they were very near closing for the day, Richard made his manager aware of our situation so that he could help us the next morning if we hadnt found a solution.I ended up having to resort to using a BMW dealership because they were the only ones that had this specific tire.I was so pleased with the help I received from Richard that I called back the next day to tell the manager, Aaron, how thankful I am. Both Richard and Aaron were very professional, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and gave far more of an effort to help me than I couldve imagined.

Got me in quickly. They showed me the problems and did the work as expected ( I knew what was wrong before showing up).I was in and out in 3 hrs . 4 rotors and pads probably took a little longer than expected but they were busy.

Not my first trip to this location. Had my cars battery replaced on Monday. Staff are pleasant and helpful.Went out to a store Tuesday night and my Check Engine light was on. I have mechanical experience, but it is sorely out of date, so I considered the possibility that a wire or vacuum line may have been disconnected during the battery installation.Didnt have a chance to get back there until Thursday evening, only to find that they are no longer open until 8:30 PM on Thursdays.I was in the parking lot, so decided to call, hoping to leave a message. Turns out they hadnt left yet. The manager, Aaron (hope I got the right spelling), came out, tested my car, and saw that it wasnt a major issue. The car was running fine, as far as I was concerned, but I wanted to make sure. He told me to come back in the morning and he would have someone look it over to make sure nothing was jostled loose.Theyve earned themselves a loyal customer.

I had a slow leak and needed my tire fixed. All the shops in the area were either booked or had a 3hour wait time. I couldnt wait that lomg as I was going out of town. Mavis customer service booked me a spot and when I got to the shop on Central ave, Richard was very welcoming, polite (the guy at the other shop had an attitude and was rude) and efficient, he got me in and out with no issues. I got a flat tire 216 miles away from home with 5 kids in the car w/me. I was coming from Niagara Falls, NY. We sat side the road for over 4 hours.I purchased a tire from Mavis in Canandaigua,NY. over the phone because they were closing. Upon arrival, The tow truck guy didn’t have the proper tools to put the tire on, but he was able to patch the flat tire. The next morning I called the closest Mavis in Troy, NY..and explained what happened and asked if I could return the New/Un-used tire...and I was told NO! She said it would mess up their inventory and that I would have to take the tire back 216 miles. I was really taken back by her response. I called Customer Service and the store I purchased it from..and they called a local store...Mavis at 206 Central Avenue, Albany,NY and Aaron, the Manager said he would gladly take the tire back w/out any hesitation. And he did just that. He was very nice. I will be taking my cars there from now on.

Their prices is so reasonable and they where really cool they explained what was wrong with my car and how to take care of it I really recommend coming here

I am writing this review because of a very devastating experience I went through with the North Greenbush Mavis. I hit a big pot hole and my air pressure was going down in my tire. I rushed to Mavis in North Greenbush and arrived there around 5:42 pm. The manager was counting money and I said to him from the door, I have a problem with loosing air in my tire and need to get it repaired. The representative at the register said, Im sorry all the guys went home and Im cashing out now. I said I bought my tired here and I am having a problem I might blow out my tire or I can be stranded because I live in New Lebanon which is 30 minutes away. I believe your store closes 6pm, Im here before closing, shouldnt there be someone here to help? I asked him where the manager was and he said, I am the manager and theres nothing I can do. I went to my car and called Mavis downtown at 206 Central Ave. and talked to Aaron, told him what happened here and he sent a guy down to meet me there immediately. I cannot believe how courteous he was to spend the time to listen and quick to send one his employees to assist me immediately. His employee named RJ (Ricco) was very courteous and showed care about getting my tired fixed. Ricco found the problem and fixed it and I was ready to go home in a matter of 20 minutes. I have never had a repair shop so willing to extend their help like the Mavis at 206 Central Ave. I am truly grateful and amazed at the superb exceptional service that I received from this Mavis Shop. Kudos to you Aaron and RJ and thank you!!!

My second visit to this location. First time, I had 4 tires replaced that took almost two hours to complete the job. I did make an appointment online and was a little early so it should not have taken as long but the shop was fairly busy from walk-ins so Ill give them a break. On my second visit, they did not have my appointment on file. In fact, when I gave them the order number, they said it was cancelled. They had the tires but only 3, not four. They would need to order the forth. They did offer me an alternative maker, which I had no information about. I said no thanks and I will look elsewhere.Also, I had a second appointment later that day for a state inspection. They were not able to do a state inspection because their computer is down but the other Mavis can do state inspections. From reading reviews from that site, it seems they dont do state inspections either.All in all, very frustrating. Mavis needs to improve its online software interface . To arbitrarily cancel my tire order is inexcusable. I guess you cannot have two appointments at different times on the same date.

They were busy and short handed but in the end we didn’t need to replace the tire. They were able to plug, where a nail had been. I was super surprised when they said your all set no charge!
