I needed an emergency tire repair but had to settle with my donut to replace my flat on my Porsche. I had to leave it over night in a parking lot because my insurance failed me on roadside assistance after I paid years for the service. I got up the next day hoping that Id be able to change my flat with a collapsible donut that came with the car. Well, this is the first time I experienced one of these and I found out that they can give you a little headache. I inflated it to the specified psi but the donut didnt take shape as a regular inflated tire. It had an odd look to it. I deflated and went searching for a shop that could change the tire on the rim or fix what s already on it. I tried several aces and was told they couldnt do anything about it because it was a special kind of tire and rim that only Porsche or an international auto shop may be able to repair. I was then directed to visit Holzhauzers international auto repair. I arrived there and the clerk approached me and asked may I help you sir? I explained to him my ordeal and took him to the donut I had in the trunk of my other car. He looked at the donut and he told me the tire was not sliding up to the lip of the rim to take the shape of an inflated tire. He mentioned that it may just need a little grease for it to slide in place and the inflate it to take shape after the tire slides up against the lip to take form. He gave it some grease and low and behold it did what he said it would do. I am very grateful to have stopped by Holzhasers shop and watched a knowledgeable mechanic display his skills by just seeing the problem I had. He saved me money and another night of discomfort of leaving my Porsche in an unknown parking lot. Thanks for the help sir for your professional service. I appreciate it. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I have found my forever auto care shop. Andres was so courteous and professional, even squeezing in time to look at my car when they had no time slots because they were concerned that driving it would cause further damage to my car.Everyone was very courteous and knowledgeable, but not in that fake slimy way that you see at dealerships. They were right on time and on budget with their repairs. The shop was neat and clean but not so showy that you feel like they are blowing your mind ey on shiny coffee makers. I love the report they provided with actual pictures of my car to show me what needed repaired.They even sent me a thank you note later.This place is just great. I will not be going anywhere else!!

Stopped in to see about a window switch (auto express up feature stopped working) on our Mercedes E350. Andre scheduled me for the next day but asked if he could take a minute to look closer at the problem. 2 minutes later the switch was working again. Its about experience and knowledge on these cars and he had it. Andre knew how to reprogram the switch. Would not even take any payment for the service. We all know he could have kept the appointment, charged for this or other service and I would have been none the wiser. Knowledge, honesty, integrity. We got our car towed hear after being referred by a friend. After speaking with them on the phone and in person about the issue we felt they really knew what they were talking about and felt comfortable leaving the car with them to diagnose. The communication from them was excellent! They gave us options on how we could fix the issue and were patient as we took the time discuss/come to a resolution. This is a great family run shop and we will absolutely return if we need work done in the future.

Omg!!! Can I tell you that I have been skeptical of auto shops all my life and with good reason. Some unscrupulous mechanics have taken advantage of my lack of car knowledge and overcharged me or did not appropriately repair my vehicle.I am still skeptical,but Holzhausers is the ultimate exception!!! First, the facility is clean and inviting. You would not think they were doing auto repairs. The staff is professional and knowledgeable and made sure that I understood what was being done to my car before the repairs were made.I also believed that the pricing was fair.My car needed major repairs. Mini Cooper repairs are not cheap and can be tedious, but my car is running so well, and I am so happy !!!No other auto shop will service my car going forward as long as I can help it.Thank you so so much!!Cheryl M

My family and I were on a long road trip far from home, when suddenly my front tire became damaged and needed to be replaced immediately. We pulled over to the nearest auto place we could find. How lucky we were to pull up to Holzhausers Auto Service! They were incredibly accommodating, and helpful. They understood that we were on a road trip far away from home, and took us right away. They were able to order a brand new tire and have it replaced in less than an hour and a half! And the best part was that they could have charged us a lot more given the circumstances, but they didnt. Their price was incredibly reasonable and fair. Truly professional and honest people. We are tremendously grateful. :-)

They’ve repaired my grandfathers bmw’s for decades and now they’re making sure our Honda CR-V is in immaculate condition. Best of all is there kind and friendly atmosphere. Did a good job diagnosing engine noise due to low oil, but they claimed I needed to replace the transmission fluid and filter, and quoted me 600 dollars to do the work. I am not kidding, 600 dollars. I did that work myself two years ago, it cost me about 80 dollars in parts, and I did it in my driveway in about 2 hours with hand tools and it was the first time I did that job. They have experienced mechanics with air tools and claim it costs 600 dollars. They also suggested I pay them 400 to replace a transmission line that costs 60 bucks at NAPA. Why are their estimates so high? Go elsewhere unless you hate your money.

I am so glad I found Holzhauser’s Auto Service! I recently moved from out of state and needed my car inspected. Andres greeted me by name upon arrival and made me feel welcome. My car was finished sooner than expected and I really liked the ability of seeing the report via text. I had to drop my car off and they asked if I needed a ride home and back to shop, which I did, so they were able to shuttle me home! Such great people, I’ll definitely be back!

Recently my battery died while I was at work. I work an overnight shift. My wife dealt with the issue so I could get some sleep. She felt appreciated and at ease. I feel I received an honest deal at an honest price. I believe I will be doing more business there as Ive recently moved to the area and have been looking for a mechanic.

Andre and Team helped out a traveler in distress when they replaced a set of bearings in a trailer wheel that were about to fail. We had 500+ miles to go so the repair was very timely. I had already sold my car on Auto Trader (pending inspection) and needed to get the state certification to complete the sale. Holzhausers had an unbelievable 4.9 rating on Google and luckily they were able to fit me in. They could really have taken advantage of the situation, because I would have done whatever they recommended, just to complete the sale. But instead, all I got was honesty! Friendly, courteous, thorough, professional, honest... What more can you ask for? Five stars, indeed!

I had a Maryland State Inspection done. I was originally going to wait for my car to finish inspection, but it failed inspection. I was offered a ride home for the mechanic to complete the repair work necessary to pass the inspection. At the end of the business day, I was called and told the work was completed. A driver came and picked me up at my house to return for my car. I thought that was super nice and convenient customer service touch. I was pleased with the explanation given about the work needed and a recap after the work was completed. I would recommend this shop to anybody looking for great service and interaction with great people.

I really like to see a good clean shop, busy fixing cars and getting people back on the road.I do a lot of my own maintenance and repair, but Holzhausers will be my shop of choice when I need the pros. We are a military couple making our way from Florida to Rhode Island on orders. We started hearing a loud noise coming from our 2004 Mercedes. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!! THEY ARE A RIP OFF!! Especially Military Families!!! If I could give this place a lower rating I would! There are numerous reason! Not knowing this area I found the closest inspection place for MD available. BIG MISTAKE!!! 1. Charged me $60 to change 3 lights bulbs. 2. Claimed my back two windows were tinted too dark. They are at 25%!! I have no tint on my front windows. I took my car the the police station and they used a tint meter.. they arent too dark! 3. Since I had already paid the $80 for the inspection and the shop didnt care what the police said we took the car back this AM with the tint off and now they claim Im over my mileage.. so I need to pay another $80 to renew an inspection!! I will pay $80 to a different location!! This place is OVER PRICED and DOES NOT SUPPORT the Military!!!!

I found them to provide excellent customer service and even felt they went above and beyond. Its very difficult to find a trustworthy mechanic but I believe Ive found them at Holzhausers!

Took my car in to repair a broken radiator fan. Within the same day they diagnosed the issue, procured a new part, and fixed it. Service was performed almost exactly one year from this posting and repair has held up since. Paid a maybe 10% more above the average price at most places (did research after the repair was, was in a pinch :) )The good:Fantastic service. Very friendly staff. Very knowledgeable. Great customer care. They spent time answering my questions and explaining certain aspects of the cars operation which I found very refreshing.The bad:On the expensive side. Went in for a single issue but was given a lengthy list of service items that I was strongly encouraged to perform. Which is ok, but the list totaled to about $3000 in work which is outrageous to do on a used car in one sitting; especially if certain routines were still not at the manufacturers recommended time to service. An example was, they suggested I replace the spark plugs on my car (fair) but quoted me $200 to do so. That is absurd for the car that I own. I spent $40 on high-end spark plugs and did it myself in about 30 min. A typical auto shop charges about $100 to do this, most of which are in parts. I didnt appreciate the notion.Conclusion:Fantastic service and very knowledgeable. However, their attempts to tack on service got them demoted to 4 stars. If you arent familiar with cars and maintenance costs I would be wary of this place. If you are in a pinch and need good work done to your car, this place is for you.

The best customer service Ive ever received from an auto company! My 1st car was a piece of junk, and hardly worth the money to fix it, but Andre at Holzhausers let me know that honest opinion! Luckily I was able to find a second car, but that is the kind of people look for when they dont know about cars.I got my car inspected here originally because I love that Holzhausers is local in Aberdeen, and theyre used to dealing with older model cars (as advertised). Im so glad I went as I was very impressed with the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the office, and the free cookies too.My second find for a vehicle needed some repairs as well, so I returned to holzhausers. Not only was my car fully repaired same-day, but Andre made sure to call me before tacking on any repairs to my check, and he even asked if I had a ride home from work before I left my car overnight. Always open on time, so I was able to drop off my car early without being worried over my car being there all by itself. I think they even moved my seat back to the position I had it in when I left...!I will definitely be returning.

I took my 2008 Subaru outback in to Holtzhausers after months of issues, and having seen two other mechanics in my college town in Frostburg, none of whom ever really resolved the issues. Holtzhausers thoroughly evaluated my car, found a host of issues my previous mechanics either missed or skimped out on. My cars finally running smooth and I dont have that sense of anxiety that my car is on the verge of another breakdown. Not only was the work excellent, but their customer service was the best Ive ever seen from any mechanic. They called me every day to provide a thorough rundown of all the issues, their likely mechanical causes, explanations of their effects of driving characteristics, etc. I cant recommend this mechanic enough!

Was suppose to replace wiring harness from vw... they just sodierder wires to fix..now I have major problems with door functions.Windows..door locks only work sometimes now..will never go back

Had service on my Mercedes the day before but on my way up to APG on a business trip, check engine turned on and car stalled repeatedly on busy I-95 (to include once in busy Ft McHenry tunnel in Baltimore). Arriving at APG, I looked for Mercedes repair service and Holzhausers popped up. Took car there next day. Andres and his mechanics read codes and advised would be a quite expensive repair. Later though Andres discovered my local mechanic had broken a bracket. Called me to give me good news and cut cost of repair in half. Less scrupulous companies might have taken me for a ride, so I was very impressed by the honesty and helpfulness. Makes me wish I lived in Aberdeen and could use Holzhausers as my regular repair shop. Kudos to Andres and the mechanics.

I recently took my Acura to them to get the brakes replaced. I am very picky with my car and trust their team to take care of my car. They were extremely cost efficient and did a great job. The front office manager, Jeremy, was extremely knowledgable about my car when he saw me pull up and that was a plus for me. I would highly recommend their services, knowledgable, fast, cost effective, and no nonsense service. They gave me a time frame as to how long it would take, how much it would cost, and what potential other items I may have to get fixed. Everything was done right the first time and actually done faster than they told me it would be done. These guys are the best and I would surely tell my friends to use them.
