They are so nice! Will do a quick diagnostic at no charge, read your check engine codes. The one time I had them repair and replace a battery wire on an old SUV they did a great job, even painting the terminals with an anti-corrosion spray at no extra charge. Reliable and very good prices. Recommended.

Just moved to neighborhood 2 months ago. Two days ago, lifted hood and found animal or animals have been making new nesting and poo everywhere and chewed a wire on engine. A family member mentioned Ace Alt. Been around forever…called them last night, told can bring in car first thing Tuesday morning, wl check it out.We did car in at 8a.m. Thinking I wouldn’t hear from them til late afternoon, they called me at 9:15 a.m. and said car is ready!! Wow are you kidding…got there, greeted very well, the bill was soooo affordable, definitely will be back. We checked work and did exact area of wiring very nicely!Thank you, Guys!!

Such nice guys! I moved to joshua tree in 2018 and was living in a trailer for the first time. In order to get air conditioning in the trailer (kind of a necessity in the desert), it needs both a marine battery and shore power (120 V). They helped walk me through this and troubleshoot right away as problems came up. They’ve always been so kind. Thank you!

After going to NAPA to see about getting a new battery, I was told it was my Positive connector for my battery and it needed replacing. I was recommended Ace so I went there just a few minutes before closing in hopes they would perform a quick fix so I could at least make it home but, instead, I was greeted so unprofessionally I’m glad I left and went to a buddy of mine. Instead of respectfully saying “No, sorry we’re closed. Try to come tomorrow at an earlier time and we’ll get you squared away” I was told “We’ve been here since 7am, working our a**es off and you should’ve came earlier” as if I’m a burden to the employee or don’t work nor acknowledge that they are a hard working people. Mind you I have a job that has a tight schedule as well. First impressions are everything and I don’t see myself coming here or recommending this place to anyone.

A great shop for electrical issues, batteries, etc. They figured out a complex problem with my RV involving magnets or some darn thing; I’ve purchased batteries for all my vehicles from them, the install, it’s no nonsense, and they are courteous. Another Yucca Valley business in which I have never received anything other than kind service, and no B.S.

Just had work done by them today. They are the best at what they do, hands down. Add that to their kindness and generosity its no wonder theyve been around so long. We should all be very proud to have such a top notch business in our community.

I have relied on Ace Alternators for years for my personal purposes.Yesterday I stopped to check on a couple from out of state whom were experiencing car trouble parked alongside hwy 247 with their travel trailer. The alternator belt had broken and they were a long way from home and obviously feeling a little anxious. I recommended Ace Alternator and wished them well. I just received a very grateful call stating that my recommendation worked out so well that they were able to continue on their journey the very same day. Way to go Ace!...as usual.

These guys are awesome! We had a small issue at first. I placed an order for a ready welder 2 for an upcoming rock crawling trip. The Monday before I left I realized it hadnt shown. I called in on Tuesday and they admitted to have email or computer issues. They remembered I was going on the trip that week said give me 15 minutes and Ill call ya right back 15 min later he called to say it would be at my door the next day before 3 pm.Excellent service! And its a good thing too, we used that welder 4 times to get us off the trail. Thanks to all the guys at premier welder!

I went in today Michael and Jeff had great customer service immediately got my car in and diagnosed it. Extremely helpful and quick to replace the battery and had me back on the road quickly.

Fast, friendly and super efficient service!

We drive into town from Northern California around Mother’s Day to give our Marine son our older truck. The truck broke down on the side of the road near Walmart and we replaced the battery. It still wouldn’t start and that night, we had to tow it to a shop. We aren’t familiar with Twentynine Plams auto repair shops, but saw favorable reviews on Yelp for Ace. It was towed there and we came back in the morning to do the paperwork. Turns out the alternator was bad and the starter needed a partial rebuild. Ace treated us very well and worked closely with you son who eventually picked up the truck the next day. These guys are honest, knowledgeable and very fair with their pricing. Our Marine son now has a trustworthy shop he can take his truck for future repairs if needed.

I got my battery replaced. I was in and out in about 45 minutes. The price was reasonable. Saved me because I was on a road trip and my car wasnt starting without a jump. I wasnt sure it would even start again. Nice to find a shop with great people to do the work.

These guys are fantastic! They actually build each alternator to order. I brought in an old truck and they made a high output alternator for me right there on the spot. In addition, they are all just really great man. Everyone of them. I was there just before Christmas and they worked late to make it so that I could get home in time to be with my family. Was traveling through town. Car wouldnt start. Got a quote to rebuild the starter that was lower than anyone else I called. Brought it over and they fixed everything that day for the lower-end of my quoted price. Everyone I talked to was extremely helpful and pleasant. Good group of people doing good work.

My car wouldnt start and jumping the battery didnt do anything so I had it towed down to Ace. They got me an estimate by the end of the day (about as cheap as car repairs get) and the next morning they called me and said to come pick up my car. New starter needed to be installed; now it starts soo fast!

Fantastic service and reasonable price! We had been told that we needed to spend upwards of $800.00 to fix our car. When my car died in YV, the local tow truck driver recommended this place, telling us they were the best. The extremely nice and knowledgeable mechanic replaced our alternator belt, put in a new higher quality connector for our battery, and checked our car over. He assured us that everything but the belt and connector was fine. Total cost? $129.00. My car is running quieter and better than it has in years. Thank you!

Its a dirty dirty place there however service is great and I mean come on what do you expect its a alternator repair place and so forth. So its going to be dirty its just that its more dirtier than usual even in the customer areas. But the service is great

Misdiagnosed my functioning generic starter as undoubtedly bad, then rebuilt it for $170, when a new one online is $60. Their claim for a superior quality than online is false- forgot a spring in assembly and actually made my ok starter bad, causing me huge expenses (damage, tow, labour, etc. - at least $700 and time).Ace took no responsibility for their actions- just assembled the spring back, wouldnt even offer a discount on fixing my alternator. I wouldnt do it there anyway.If you are willing to pay a premium for the waranty- Auto Zones is a lifetime nation wide warranty for the same price. Aces is a local year or two. Or just get the $60 one on eBay.

Alternator problems, starters, need a belt, battery or voltage checked? Geesh, seems these guys do it all. Over the years weve visited this shop on two occasions both of which with excellent experiences.First visit was a broken mount for an alternator. No charge, sent us across the way to the welder who fixed us right up. Friendly recommendation to another local shop. Nice.Then, we had starter problems on a boat, pull it out and see that maybe we need new brushes installed. Take it to Ace and immediately was greeted and taken care of. Rick, took a look at it and started fondling it with the precision of a safe cracker saying that it felt good to him. Just the same he asked if we had a few minutes to take a peek for himself. Finding nothing out of the ordinary (which I guess is good news) he took the time to clean up a few things and put it back together with a clean bill of health. Handed it over........NO CHARGE! A little man-talk of what could be causing the problem and ultimately suggested that if we cant identify the trouble to bring in the boat. Wow, what a great suggestion. Hopefully one we dont need to do but theyre not really a repair shop like that - certainly not for boats but willing to take a look and test away just the same. Talk about going above and beyond!Oh, and Id like to add that while we were waiting for the diagnosis no less than 3 other very pleasant staff asked if we could be helped. I would say that good karma & good people are working at Ace. Everyone seemed to be in a good mood, even for a Friday afternoon.Saw a few other walk-ins too for batteries or other needs. Plus their stock of alternators, starters and rock crawling gear was pretty impressive for a small shop in Yucca Valley. This is absolutely the type of business you like to visit and we NEED in the basin. Beyond reasonable (not that weve ever been charged to know), fast and friendly plus working 6 days a week? Update: Recently my vehicle died at a corner on Hwy. 62 in JT. The next morning AAA (also a good experience--thanks, Jordan!) towed it to Ace, where they quickly diagnosed the problem and replaced the alternator. Shout-out to Mike, who was exceptionally helpful the following week, when that vehicle was stolen. Its been a quick succession of vehicle mishaps recently, but the local auto guys have been amazing.A few months ago my battery died in the Vons parking lot. It was a Saturday afternoon, and Ace had already closed for the day. When I called, they offered to stay open for me and help me out with a new battery. I really appreciate their above-and-beyond service and will continue to patronize them, not only for their products (Interstate Batteries) but for their great service.
