Good place to rent autos. I have been to this location and their old location next to the old Kmart building. Fairly good rates and if you use a credit card easy as pie to get in and out. People just use a credit card for auto rentals the card offers car insurance and is protected against fraud. Why anybody would use an ATM/debit card is beyond me.

PREPAID RIPOFF!!! WARNING: DO NOT PRE-PAY if there is the slightest chance that you might be able to return your car early! You WILL NOT -- REPEAT, WILL NOT -- be refunded for the unused portion of your pre-paid voucher. Thats how they get around reimbursement, the SELL YOU A VOUCHER, not charge you for renting a car, and then the charge against your voucher...like a coupon...which separates the rental charge from the actual rental. I pre-paid to rent a car for two days, and only needed it for one, but Hertz refused to refund the day that I didnt need. You cant refund the unused portion of a coupon at the supermarket, a nd -- similarly -- they wont refund the unused portion of the voucher that they sold you!!! THIS IS A SCAM...A RIP-OFF...A SHADY, CONNIVING PRACTICE!!! I may need a rental car in the future, but itll NEVER be Hertz!

Their process here is weird and not like other rental places when making a reservation, you have to come in a day later to pick up so be mindful of that if you book a car. Location is very small as well as their inventory. Customer service is great but process is something I wouldnt want to put myself through for a third time I found better rental places with easier process no holding fee and in and out within twenty minutes of actual book

Dont trust them. They will scam you. This company claim we didnt return the vehicle (I took video of the return) they also removed $1600 out of my account without authorization, but then claim they dont have information that a car was even rented by my family and I. They were super unprofessional. Dont call 10 mins before they close, they will not help you. Becareful, do your research before renting. Hope you have a better experience than we did. Good luck!!!!

My experience renting a car from Hertz was pretty simple. Stacey is excellent at what she does. The rental car was out front when we got there, we completed the paperwork and we were done. While I was there the phone was ringing, there was someone picking up a car and someone else dropping 1 off. Stacey processed everyone cheerfully and professionally. Thanks Stacey it was a pleasure meeting you.

Im having the same experience as the commentor beleow me, scammers I even called another Hertz abouth this process of this store and they said it was weird.I authorized transactions through the course of the rentalcar.Then a month later after i return the cehicle they say i owe another$1300.

They had originally stated my return vehicle date would be on the 15th, then they call me on the 13th saying i have less than 2 hours to return it or I’d be charged extra fees! How on earth is this good service? I had to get there and unload my laundry i had them wait in the sun 4 hrs for a ride to pick me up they weren’t even kind enough to offer an extended hr so i could plan a ride back home. BAD SERVICE

HERTZ!!! Was in my head today! And in a good way! First time ever going to Hertz! And it was best experience possible and this is from someone who’s rented everywhere and the last hand full of times I’ve gone threw enterprise. Going threw Hertz today “Stacy and EJ” best customer service hands down!! That’s coming a lot from me. They had me before I came in... on the phone. I went in and was out before I knew it! With a awesome car! And I wasn’t haggled. EJ and Stacy you made this experience me going to Hertz probably lifetime and also will be recommending anyone that goes in! Needs to see y’all!

Horrible experience. I got the managers special, super small car so I upgraded. Originally $179, bumped it up to $285. Ridiculous, the know they got you.Picked up my rental car, got to my destination 45 minutes away, the check engine light came on. Been trying for at least an hour to get ahold of roasside service, apparently theyre still assisting other callers. Still on hold as I write this. I have never rented from Hertz before, I usually use Enterprise. I will NEVER rent from them again.

I had a bad experience with hertz. they rented my pregnant wife a car with a shake in the steering wheel and the car would not drive straight . Then told me they dont do service checks or test drive their vehicles to make sure they are maintained and reliable.

Very satisfied. Car was in excellent condition and totally clean. Counter staff were quick and polite. Price was very competitive. I usually rent from Hertz at Sacramento airport when I visit, but this time managed to rent from the local Hertz location in Yuba City. Will rent from them again when I come to Yuba City.

I had a great experience at Hertz Rental. Manny made everything very easy. After a horrible day getting into fender-bender, I was in my new rental in just 30 mins. I highly recommend working with Manny. He is professional, polite and goes out of his way to help.

This is my second time renting a vehicle. Always like the customer service. Friendly staff. They try to give you the best deals and give you options. I never have a problem reserving online with them. They have always giving a clean vehicle and good working vehicle with special deals.

Stacy has to be one of the laziest employees I’ve ever encountered. No customer service at all. She’s rude and disrespectful. Ignores phone calls and when she says that she will call you back don’t hold your breath. Terrible job Stacy. You should be ashamed. Hertz, time to put this one back through some training.

We have rented from here several times and every vehicle is in great condition. Only reason its not a 5 star is because we were renting a big vehicle and wished to pay the rent/fees etc with one card and deposit with another and it was not an option.. So we tried renting with cash and card.. Nothing. Everything had to be on one card, they should update that one thing. Everything else has always been pleasant

Ive used this Hertz location multiple times and they have always gone above and beyond for me. I usually call at least a week in advance, so they can arrange to have a car in my reserved class available when I arrive. Manny is great and has never let me down.

First time in 30 years we had to rent a car. Our daughter graduated from college in the Bay Area and we needed a mini van to fit us all and have enough room to pack up her dorm and move her home. Manny and staff were helpful, friendly and the price was great. We went to Enterprise first and they wanted $428 for the same deal that we got at Hertz for $195. I will only do business with Manny and staff in the future. Thank you for the great service and price.

I had a reservation for noon on 12/30. I was called at 11:35 and was informed that they were closing at noon. I told the agent that I would be there before they closed. I made it to the rental office at 11:54 and they had already left. After frantically calling customer service, the only solution they offered was picking up at the airport 45 min away and the local office won’t reopen until 1/2. Do not rent from this sham of a company because they do not honor their appointments, even after confirming over the phone.

Been dealing with Manny at the Garden Highway, Yuba City, CA location, for over 2 years. He has always been very helpful, polite, goes completely out of his way to take care of us. The cars we have gotten have always been clean and ready to go, they always run great. Good job Hertz!!!

A terrible mistake, that is what I can say about my experience.I reserved a car a week before the day I needed it. I told them I would go pick it up around 10.00 a.m.On the day scheduled for the pick up I arrived right before 10.00 a.m. and was told my car would not be ready before 11.00 a.m. I left the store. 15 minutes later an employee called me to let me know that the car for me would be ready between 11.00 a.m. and 12.00 p.m. Silly me, I didnt ask them between 11.00 and 12.00 of which century... my bad.Not having heard from them, I called right before 1.00 p.m. to see if the car was ready: It was not. They didnt even know when it would be ready. Seriously guys, you have no idea when a car reserved one week before will be ready for a client? I started to think these people only had one car they pass from a client to the next one, but I was still hoping for the best... I was so wrong.Around 3.00 p.m. I received a call from the same employee, letting me know my car was being washed and they would call me back as soon as it would be ready.At that point I decided to give up. I called my insurance company which will pay the bill for the rental. They authorized me to go to another rental car in town and forget about Hertz.I would not suggest anybody to go to Hertz... and yes, I will forget about Hertz by never renting from them again, scouts honor.

This was by far the worst rental experience in my life!Manny you were useless and lame as a rep.Customer service was just as bad. Kathy is a bold faced liar too.This company does not stand by its promises as stated in its Values Statement, so they are also guilty of mass misrepresentation. They have no integrity, and do not care how many customers they lose. Again, not what they say in their Mission statement.We usually use Enterprise and after this horrible experience I shall go back to them and boycott Hertz rentals and Choice hotels. Why Choice you say? Because the director of Hertz is also on the board of directors for Choice hotels, thats why, and that is how one boycotts properly. The financial implication will not be noticed perhaps for some time, but it will impact. We have soooooo many family, friends and colleagues and they will ALL be boycotting both companies. Lots of customers with deep pockets that will never use Hertz or Choice ever again.All because Manny is a poor excuse for a human being and a worse customer care rep.He was given the opportunity to resolve an issue he created and refused to remedy it, instead treating us like he didnt need or want our business.The customer care reps were just as bad, lying and making excuses and basically refusing to stand by their promise.Not a company to be trusted.John Tague should be ashamed of himself as should Manny, but I dont think they are because they have no integrity.Too many issues to list here, needless to say, Hertz is not the way to go.Coal in Mannys stocking this year!Shame on you. No pride, so sad.

We rented a car from Yuba city and we were supposed to deliver it back to Yuba City. Unfortunately we had some troubles so we delivered the car to Vancouver. We tried to communicate with the office of Hertz and the representative Stacy wasnt willing to handle the situation. We asked her to communicate with the manager and she was putting us on hold. Eventually she hung up the phone. When we called her again she didnt pick up the phone. When her colleagues from Vancouver called her, she said some vagues excuses and then she hang it up again!

Horrible service I had a family emergency and I needed a car rental. I was running 5 minutes late to my reservation so I called ahead of time to let them know I was running late, the guy said ok and when I got there it was closed leaving me with no rental and frantically looking for a car rental.

It was okay I wasnt too happy because they said I got a free upgrade but then they wanted me to pay more money for the insurance because I got the free upgrade in my opinion if youre going to offer a free upgrade because you have a vehicle available I should only have to pay the price for the insurance that I would have paid on a car that I had ordered and not also on the upgrade since you offered it....

This was the worst car renting experience of my life! My car was totalled in a car accident which was not my fault and on top of the stress of dealing with that I had to deal with and still dealing with the stress of getting our money back that Hertz took from our account that our insurance is covering. Everyone there is giving us the run around and the manager Manny himself has been no help. We have rented cars in the past from Enterprize and always had excellent customer service..this time all there cars were taken and we tried Hertz. I was told when renting the car that when we bring the car back that our deposit would be reimbursed and it still has not been. I was also told that they would contact me when my insurance coverage was up..they did not and charged us without contact...and our insurance was still covering..we yet have not been reimbursed they keep giving us the run around...one day the money was reimbursed and the very next day taken out again..very frustrating!..the car that was given to us was given to us with service lights on and smelled like cigarette smoke..we will never do service with this company again. What should be a stress free experience has not been what so ever. I will if next time take my business to Sac or Chico before ever going to here again.
