Our business finds the Republic pricing reasonable and the customer service great.
In 3 months they have missed pickup from my house 3 times. Everyone else gets picked up but for some reason mine gets passed right on by. Make a claim for missed pick up and in 48 hours nothing. Call and get put on hold for a minimum of 15 minutes every single time just to be told what you want to hear and nothing happen. I have called twice this week alone to get my service corrected and have been utterly disappointed. The drivers are flat out lazy and the customer service is nothing but lip service. So frustrated and annoyed by this “service” and I will be looking into a different one that actually tries to be competent.UPDATE:More lip service from the “owner” responded to them immediately with the information requested to get this squared away and still NOTHING! I have now contacted republic services 5 times this week with each time being promised a pickup and nothing has happened. Utterly disgraceful. I urge absolutely everyone looking into these reviews to NOT start up service with this awful, LAZY excuse for waste removal. I now have to clean up trash that has been scattered by animals due to the incompetence of these people. If you could give negative stars I would. BTW my pickup is Monday and it is now Saturday
If I could give this trash service zero stars, I would. They have consistently picked up our trash around 430/5pm for the past 3-4 weeks. I put the trash out at 930am this past pickup day and it was never taken. I sent in for a missed pickup and they wrote back with “they were out at 633am and took a picture of no cans out” and then followed it up with “we can pick it up for $92 if you need it before the next pickup date.” Seriously? This isn’t the first problem I’ve had with them either. Looking into other trash services now.
Second week in a row that trash was not picked up. Was told they were running behind and would be out the following day, but never showed up. Now I have 3 trash cans filled with trash that is rotting. So the next time I put out trash that is more than my regular amount, they will no doubt try to surcharge me. Worst service ever.
We worked with Misty Root and Mike Drotar to get a 30 yard roll off at our business. Both went above and beyond!!

Wait times to talk to someone on the phone is over 40 minutes. During the wait time it keeps repeating to visit republic services.com to schedule a pick up, which is what I needed. I did, and of course it tells me to call customer service. 🙄 If I could use a different company I would, trust me.
Should give zero stars. 3 missed bulk pickups in a row, just for a box spring. I call in every time to report and get some B.S. explanation and reschedule. I drag a box spring up and down the driveway every week. Still no resolution.UPDATE. Changed to 3 starts because they respond to this review and schedule pickup the day and it was completed.

Truck # 1211 or $1217 driving in the passing lane dumping everything and anything on the cars behind him w all the debris and rocks coming off his truck. Don’t you send these guys threw a safety course on proper driving of commercial vehicles ? No reason he should be holding up traffic driving in the wrong lane dumping trash everywhere
Worst customer service ever. Always a least a 20 minute wait just to talk with a person. Currently my timer reads 30.24
This company is terrible. Drivers are very rude and they do not care about the customers at all.
Started out terrible. Took over 3 months for me to get any cans, and was constantly being lied to and being told to wait a week. Every week. Then my price started going up. And then I called to make a payment, and was told that I had to pay one amount and my trash would be picked up the next day. And then when I called back 30 minutes later, was told I had to pay over double. And it would be a week until a pickup was made. When I questioned the guy, he said the first person shouldnt have told me what they did because they were just a sales representative. And was told its cheaper to cancel my service. And they stole my personal trash can. Wish I could give a 0 star rating.
Since our illustrious politicians decided to allow Republic Services to create a monopoly they have doubled our rates. In only a few years I went from paying $20 per month with City Disposal (including the can), to currently paying over $40 per month with Republic. They assured us our rates would not increase when they bought up the competition. Obviously they are liars and cheats.
Worst customer service Ive ever had. The collectors are fine but Ive tried 6 times to order a regular trash can. Each time they have failed to show up. Today they drove by. Saw I had a can ( not theirs) and decided I didnt need one and now they are all out and on back order. Had they delivered it when they were originally supposed to or given us the one he had in his truck we were supposed to get I wouldnt be without a trash can. No apology nothing. And it just got better when we called to cancel. They lied to us and said they were the only company allowed to pick up our trash. Meanwhile Im currently looking at a waste management truck across the street and a local company comes around on Monday.
I highly suggest against Republic, I’ve only had their services for 4 months and I could SCREAM in frustration. It took 3 weeks to revive my can and then delivered and charged me AFTER I canceled that plan because of the delay. I recently got a bill in the mail AGAIN so I called AGAIN. I was told it was their fault and I should pay for it. I just got charged $45+. I could scream in frustration.

They are horrible to deal with. Their customer service is a lit to be desired. Every one needs to be trained. I paid my bill late they took my trash cans. Only brought one back. Then charged a $35.00 reinstatement fee. I would not have switched to this company. Our city decided to tell us who will pick up our garbage.
Have had this company for more then 5 years.... They forgot my big blue trash can (the 1 u pay extra to have)I even called when they were still on my street to tell them! so I called 4 more different times each day they told me Im on the pick up list..guess what its still out there and still full so now I have to wait until Thursday for pickup bc of the holiday with the same trash that was supposed to be picked up last week!!!
Service started around $60 a quarter and went up to $111 a quarter. I called to cancel and they want $40 to pickup the trashcan. I do not recommend them at all, so many cheaper options.
ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!! I decided to use this trash company a few months after i moved into my new house. I was told i would have my bin delivered in a week. MONTHS PASS BY and i have yet to get my bin delivered. I called every weeks and all they did was apologize and say one will get sent out the following week. Turns out they sent it to my neighbors house. AND THEY STILL SEND ME A BILL FOR THAT QUARTER AND BIN DELIVERY WHEN I DID NOT HAVE ANY BINS OR TRASH PICK UP. So i call and trying to nicely figure this out with them and multiple attempts were made. Every time they said they fixed it BUT THE BILL WAS SENT TO COLLECTIONS ANYWAY! So her i am during my entire pregnancy having to deal with all of this and then i finally get to the point of not being nice anymore and then the escalations representative tries to put the blame on me for messing up my account? i have never done business with a company this horrible. I have never been this angry and to the point of getting a lawyer.
I have called for my trash can to be delivered 3 times. It was scheduled for 7/6/2020. I never received anything. Not even a email. I called. They said it was rescheduled to 7/10/2020. I waited and waited. Never received my trash can. Today I called and was told it should have been delivered on the 10th. It wasn’t. They told me they would have to put another order in for the can. Seriously annoying since everyday I have had to clean up garbage from my entire yard due to raccoons. Thanks for the service republic!
I am a new customer. I was signed up with them early on the week of April 5th, paid my 50 dollar deposit and was told that the 2 cans I ordered would be dropped of at my residence on April 10th. All was good or so I thought. The 10th came and went with no cans being delivered. I called republic to find out why. I was told that the date of delivery was changed from friday April 10 to Monday April 13. I never received a phone call informing me of this and they had no reason as to why when I called. Well, monday April 13th came and went, no cans delivered. I called and was told my case is being escalated. Tuesday the 14th, Wednesday the 15th, Thursday the 16th, no cans delivered. I called each day and was told same thing...my case is being escalated. Finally on Friday April 17th I came home from work and I saw a can sitting at the end of the driveway. Ok great, but my order was for 2 cans, not 1. So I called again. Same ol same ol. Another week passed and my second can is still not here. I dont understand how or why this is so complicated. Never have I had to deal with this from any other trash service Ive used in the past. I switched to them because their pricing was lower than what I currently had. Wish I would have stayed with the other service and avoided this headache all together!! Now I am back logged with trash!
Garbage was supposedly picked up 9/10/19 when went to put can back by house found out can was not emptied. This is not first time this happened. So I called Republic and the girl was very nice and said to put can back on curb and she would send message to truck to come back and empty it. I left my home at 5 P.M and did not want to leave can on curb and give appearance that I was not home even though I was leaving. All neighbors cans were put off curb already. The next morning I call again and spoke do Deana and then Dorian who also were very nice and send they would send message to truck. Dorian called back and said they had been by at 7 this morning which was 24 hours after the first call. Then talked to Deana who asked for my phone number and stated she would see what she could do. They next phone call was a nightmare. This woman called and never identified herself but was aggressive and argumentative right from the start. She stated it was my fault the can was missed and that I could pay extra and they would come pick up my can. I tried to explain to her that it was not my fault and that I would not pay extra since I was told they would come the day before. She just got louder and more rude which then made me loud and rude. She told me they would not pick up my garbage till next week unless I paid for it and they would not make adjustment in my bill. She then hung up on me. I called back after cooling off to find out her name and was told they did not know who it was that called me. I did try to call another garbage refuge place but no other company comes out to Mineral ridge. This was a terrible way to talk to and treat customer.
Worst company ever dealt with called everyday for a trash can took weeks and nothing. So I canceled the next day it was there and took almost a month for them to take there bin back I called every day. Terrible customer service! Too expensive
Terrible company. City of Niles residents are forced to use this company because our elected official have selected them to service the city. I moved to Niles 3 months ago and after one month cancelled my pick up. I had 5 bags that I personally hauled down my stairs and off my porch and placed them at the curb. Republic refused to pick them up because they were to heavier for their driver. PLEASE what a joke...Company is as big as a joke too.
I had gotten behind on my bill. I then pay that bill through their app which I have always done. A bill which already included a late fee. I was told by representative everything would be taken care of. My trash that outside for 2 weeks. Today is trash day and still no pickup. When I called I was told I would have to pay $215 to reinstate my service. No thank you they can shove it.
Most BS company in the world! They have lost 2 checks. Toss trash cans and break them. Leave trash on the ground. Over charge every fricking person they can.
For anyone shopping garbage services, I highly recommend finding a local company to the area you live. The most frustrating part about doing business with a nationwide company like RS is using auto-pay, which should be the simplest thing. Right? No. Auto-pay will not work when you set a limit for how much they are allowed to take from you per quarter, especially when the negotiated amount increases without your consent every. single. billing quarter. How can Republic raise the rates without customers approval? And then claim to be transparent? Sneaky tactic to increase profitability with no care for the working, on-time bill paying customer.
Horrible service, trash was left in both of my cans and when I called customer service to complain the rep was rude and had terrible customer service skills. I would advise that no one uses this terrible company!!!! I would give 0 stars if I could.
This place is awful I have been waiting for my trash bin for 2 weeks and they keep moving the date for when it will be delivered. Customer service representatives are very rude and act like you are Interrupting their day.
Customer service is absolute garbage. Ive now called in three days in a row about a missed pick up of which each time they told me the next day they will pick it up. My pick ups are on Wednesday its now Monday and my trash can is still full.

Seriously terrible. Used to be good but something changed in the last year and a half. Its become more expensive and their customer service is awful. Plus their bill pay is pretty bad too and their reminders dont work on the website. They made me use one of their cans and said I couldnt use mine. They charged me a $95 security deposit to use it, they charged me $39 to drop it off and now theyre charging me $39 to pick it up after I cancel my service. All in all they are terrible. I will never use them again. Youd be much better off with Waste Management or Ohio Valley.UPDATE: I cancelled my service on Oct 10 with a can pick up on the 12th. Its the 16th and I still have my can, just found out my service wasnt cancelled and Im being billed for Nov-Jan. This company is unreal.UPDATE #2: Cancelling my service took 2 months because their systems cant cancel until the end of the month/billing cycle for some reason. I had to keep watch and make sure it cancelled because they were sending me bills for the next quarter. They would tell me oh that will just drop off but it didnt. I had to chase them down a lot. I called them about 5 or 6 times just to cancel my service.This company is trash (pun intended)
Would be awesome if the guy did not throw the trash all over the street in front of my house so that we have to go out and clean the street up everytime he has been here.
I canceled services in may due to moving and they couldn’t get the van till June 7th. They now want me to pay for all of June, for them picking up their can, and an invoice charge of 65.53? For what?? Cost me $100 cause they couldn’t get my can till June??

STAY FAR AWAY. I have switched to Ohio Valley Waste. Republic was charging me for 2 accounts on one trash can! Closed the account and was promised I didnt owe any more money, 6 months later I get a bill for $100. When I call in and go through the invoices with the representative he tells me that almost $70 of it are incorrect charges. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS JOKE OF A COMPANY.

So we started service with republic almost 2 weeks ago and in that time we have been told 3 different dates for cans to be delivered, our trash was not picked up in week one, and today (week 2) our trash was picked up but still no cans!!! This marks the third date that we were promised cans and did not receive them. We have two choices, leave stinky garbage bags in our new home all week all over again or leave them outside and pick up the garbage every morning that gets torn up and scattered by critters every night. If this is the service they give new customers I dont know why they think we will stay. We WILL absolutely be seeking service from someone else. I even expressed to the customer service rep I spoke to the second time they did not drop our cans off when they said they would, that if on the third drop off date we do not have our cans that we WILL switch services, republic may not be a company of their word but I AM a man of my word! so republic ANOTHER customer gone, and to be clear we arent upset only because we dont have cans, we are mainly upset with three different promises broken, and our first week of service missed. Not a good start, and from the looks of it the service can only go down hill from here. Im shocked that even after threatening to leave they continue to not keep their word.

Garbage collector coplains about garbage cans being too heavy. Same cans my 67 year old dad carries to the curb. Also called to have couch picked up and they were supposed to be out 3 times now and never showed up.
The worst Company, they are liars, and have horrible customer service and no compasion.
