I really dont know how you could give these guys anything less than 5 stars! I trust them 100% with all my cars. They go above and beyond when you have an emergency or just a normal routine service. Craig explains things and shows you what he finds so you understand the problem easily. They always fit me in no matter what. Just an awesome garage all the way around.

Found myself in need of help with my charging system light. My normal shop was closed for vacation Als being very close I decided to call them. They were most helpful and able to look at it same day. Really did not expect a call 2 hours later telling me my car was fixed and ready to be picked up. Very pleased with the service and the courteous helpful staff. I would definitely recommend!

Matt and Craig and their staff are tremendous. We have used them for over a decade and they have always treated us right. They are honest and dont try to sell you things you dont need like many other shops do. Their no ethanol gas is great as well. Like many others have commented, they are one of the best kept secrets in York.

Very comfortable waiting area with free water and sodas for customers, as well as a computer to use while waiting. The gas is slightly more extensive than other places, but is of higher quality; I refer to it as The Good Stuff. I always go here if Im able to get on their schedule!

I have never had a problem at Als my car is always serviced promptly and correctly. Craig has forgotten more about cars then I will ever know and the same can be said for Matt, Levon, and Jim. The work is always done at a fair price and done correctly the first time. Also, the dogs are adorable (and dont have fleas).

A wonderful place to visit when you need to or just to have a chat. The benefit is youre dealing with some of the most knowledgeable people with Years of Legacy experience in the industry. Took my vehicle in 4 times to fix the check engine light. Last time I was told they would call me the next week to set up an appointment to let the car there the whole day so they could figure it out. The call never came, 2 weeks later I called and reminded them about my problem, I was told they were really busy and I could take it somewhere else they werent going to argue about it. I told them I was a customer before these other people. I dont know how thats arguing when you just want them to finish the job you already paid them for.

Took my car to Als based on the many positive reviews I read online and Im happy to report that they were spot on. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to work around my schedule for drop off service. Pricing was very fair, but most importantly, they earned my trust by steering me away from unnecessary services. I had recently received an oil change from a local chain repair place who gave me a list of things to get done the next time I came in. I used my visit to Als to get a thorough once over and was told that none of those issues were in need of repairs anytime soon. They really could have ripped me off and didnt. Its my new go-to place.

We have been taking our cars to Als for over more than 20 years, so this review is long overdue. Whenever our cars need repairs, inspections, or just checked out for that funny noise, we immediately call Als and pray they can fit us in. We never worry if we are going to get a repair we dont need. More importantly, if there is a repair or maintenance we do need, we know it will be done right, and at a good price- no need to wonder if we paid too much. On those occasions when we have had to go to someone else, we have often been disappointed because they just cant measure up to Craig, Matt, and their team in terms of professionalism, quality workmanship and price.

From a distance, Als appears to be your typical, local-yocal, good-ol-boy owned AND good-ol-boy operated.... gas station (SERVICE station, actually- you can do everything here- from filling your tank, grabbing an oil change, buying tires, might even be able to buy yourself an actual VEHICLE). This is the sort of shop that stays in a family for a few generations; could have started out as a garage.... Now its a gas station too, or vice versa. I remember, even as a kid, my mother, taking her VW Jetta there (THAT thing was temperamental), and always being so tickled because she just felt like they were shooting straight.Als definitely has a bit more going on than meets the eye. The attention to detail that goes on here is PROFOUND- THE TIRE INFLATION MACHINE HAS A HEATED CRADLE FOR THE WAND, for goodness sakes! (He explained the benefit of this to me at some point.... Made TOTAL SENSE, I cannot, for the life of me, remember)You can purchase ethanol free fuel here ##WORTH EVERY PENNY##. Not only do you make up the $ difference from the increased fuel economy..... you also get the satisfaction of kissing LOTS of engine-killing carbon deposits goodbye..... ultimately prolonging the life of your engine. It helps with pick-up too, basically like using the best bottle of gas treatment every time that you fill up.These guys are ultra courteous, to boot! Heres an example for you - I bought some headlights for my car, started to poke around and have a look, and something just DID NOT seem right! I asked the guys there about it during my next fill-up, they IMMEDIATELY had me pop my hood and had a look - uncovered that the actual socket had been melted. Rather than getting some run around about how full tomorrow was/hows next week looking?.... this is what I heard - if you stop by tomorrow, we will work you in, this (insert simple, practical solution here..... NOT A CAR GUY.... Some sort of rewiring, that did not entail purchasing a bunch of stuff) is what were going to do, and well get you back to normal in no time...... MAN I WISH THAT EVERYBODY DID BUSINESS LIKE THESE GUYS DO, IT WOULD MAKE STUFF SO MUCH EASIER!!!P. S. - its some sort of Spaniel - Brittany, Springer, one of those bird dog types..... THE DUDES DOG IS EVEN SUPER-COOL!!!!
