Would give zero stars if possible.I took my car to Firestone because of a very audible rubbing noise from the front when I was braking. I drop my car off on Friday morning, and called the shop around 1pm to check the status, next on the lift I am told. I do not hear back for the rest of the day. Saturday morning, I call same thing tech is driving it, next on the lift. I had plans the rest of the day so I didnt think much of it and called back Sunday morning. We havent looked at it yet, next on the lift. At this point this is unacceptable, if it was going to take 3 days to see my car, just be up front from the start. When I get my car back Monday morning, the head mechanic was confused, as he said 1. my car was ready since Friday, and 2. there is nothing wrong with my car other than its just an older car and my brakes were fine. To his credit he did wave mostly everything for the delay, and I was on my way.Not a day later, my car started making the same noise if not worst. I took it to another mechanic close by for a second opinion. Not 30 minutes has passed since I dropped the car off, I get a call back. My front brakes are now metal to metal and the back pad is stuck to the rotor. How could that be if my brakes are fine?I find it very hard to believe that this wasnt able to be seen if the car was up on lift being looked at specifically for brake noise. So either, they never looked at the car to start with, or they are too incompetent to diagnose brakes. Either way they are not worth the headache and trouble. Go else where and support the smaller shops in the area.

Wonderfully cordial and accommodating. I was on the road traveling and was in need of replacing one tire. Glenn took the time to investigate and was able to find one, the only one they had in stock. It was as if the universe had made it so.The tire was already off of my car, so they put me through quickly and sent me on my way.Good price, good service, and good experience.Thank you so much.

One cannot get service done quickly here anymore. Every job the last 2 years, since Covid started had to be a drop off and callback hours later. Even a simple tire rotation. Id avoid this place if it werent for my lifetime alignment deal. The work is fine, but corporate needs to support this shop better!

Awful, just awful, negligent and dangerous service. We have brought 3 different cars to this dump for just new tires, and each time, the cars come back with AT LEAST 1 lug cross/misthreaded and just sitting there on a ruined stud. One car had 2 cross threaded and not tight PER TIRE, and one had just one cross threaded and visibly not right to the wheel at all. All in all, if you value your vehicle, and your life DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!

One star just for the price adjustment, otherwise I would suggest going below 0!Im not just frustrated, Im totally furious with the service and lack of customer care.I called this morning to set up an appointment for an oil change. A very nice associate assisted and scheduled for tomorrow, adjusted the price for me which was very nice.  I asked if he could possibly have any available time today if someone cancels, he told me to call at noon, which I did and was told that now is a very good time to come. I drove 20 min to the place, dropped my car there. No waiting lounge is available at this location,  and its freezing cold outside. I was suggested to go sit at the Starbucks, which I found out later didnt offer any inside seating. I spent an hour and a half outside, returned to the shop and to my surprise found my car at the same spot where I left an hour and a half ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I rushed into the shop and asked the associate for an explanation, I was stunned by the reply, the technician is finishing to work on your car...Eventually, after the associate checked with the technician, he tried to apologize to me by saying that the technician was busy over his shoulder... This is such a lame and unprofessional attitude to the customer, shows that two hours of my time is NOT valuable at all.I dont know who manages this place, but this is definitely a recipe for disaster and degradation to closure.I would try to get everyone in my network to know and share this!Avoid this place at all costs.P.S. UPDATE: After numerous emails I received a phone call from Mike, he suggested to come when I can. When I arrived I was ready to wait for an hour and half, but to my surprise the car was ready after a blazing half an hour and they provided this service free of charge despite the fact I insisted on paying. I can’t scratch off the bad first experience, but we all make mistakes, what matters is how we fix them.I do understand, that getting loyal and professional personnel is not an easy task today.I’ll keep my business through Mike who understands what customer service should be like in 2021.

Beware of the shady sales gimmicks. I went to get a tired repaired and they told me that if I replace one tire I need to replace both the rear tires so they match. It sounds like a fair deduction since different tires ride differently but the problem was that they told me that if they could find the same exact tires I had they could change one but upon them looking it up in their system the tires were discontinued...only that I went to Mavis Discount Tires instead and they had the tires. So not discontinued, they just wanted me to buy 2 new tires

They were professional and fast. They have a nice waiting area and they were knowledgeable and thorough. I had a very pleasant experience. I came without an appointment and they had my car done quickly and im the shop is walking distance to boulder run and downtown Wyckoff.

Would give them a zero star if I could, staff doesnt even wear a mask inside the building and the front desk attendants are very rude and unprofessional. Everybody reading this just go somewhere else for your car needs.

Went today for an oil change they said I needed new tires got them. 2 of them and my car can’t go over 45 miles per hour on the highway. Driving on the road find and then get on highway and my car Is shaking our of control. I don’t understand if they are know for tires how they can’t do a good job now I gotta waist another day to get it fixed. Don’t bother!!

Needed tires quickly and they came through. Disappointed that after paying so much money for tires I needed to pay an additional fee (almost $100) for an alignment. Its something people should factor in since youll always need an alignment living in NJ.

I brought my car in because one of my tires was slowly losing air and for an oil change. They repaired the tire, as opposed to other repair shops that may have tried to sell me a new tire. They noticed other problems with my car and fixed it at a reasonable price. Great service.

Both my boyfriend and I have been taking our cars here for years. Gary is the man. He is very helpful, knowledgeable and HONEST. They dont try and beat around the bush--if they can fix it, they will and give you a price up front. If they cant, theyll tell you where to go to get it done. Unfortunately, we just moved out of state but should life lead me back to Bergen County, NJ, Ill go right back there without hesitation. Great shop, fast service, and honest guys.

I haven’t been to firestone in approximately two full years and the Wyckoff store somehow charged my credit first national account “by accident” just last month. And now they won’t help me get a refund for services I never had done on my car. When they looked up the repair order over the phone it was an entirely different customer who went to them and they were not sure how he got my cfna number. They tried to pass me off onto CFNA account customer service number who have informed that only Wyckoff can refund my account — Which they refuse to do. Don’t go here they will rob you. Would not let me speak to store manager let alone area manager. Now I owe $1080 for no reason. Ridiculous

The guys at Firestone are unfailingly polite to customers. They explain what needs to be done to your car and provide an estimate ahead of time. Even when I unwittingly gave them an opportunity a few years ago, theyve never tried to sell me something I dont need.

Always friendly and helpful with service suggestions. They dont push for work not needed. Have had both major and minor work done and have always been happy with the results. Fairly priced (check website for coupons).

It seems that most of the negative reviews on Firestone have happened well in the past, so in an effort to ensure their rating is balanced out, I thought it was only fair to share my more recent experience.My car refused to start yesterday morning in what turned out to be a completely dead battery that wouldnt even accept a jump start from my wifes car. I called Firestone to see if they could get my car in on short notice, and they made themselves available. The tow truck was able to drop the car off without issue, and the team kept me updated on the progress of the electrical test and battery replacement throughout the day, having my car ready after I got out of work. Their friendliness and communication through the day was unlike most mechanics Ive worked with in the past, and would not hesitate to take my car there again in the future.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I waited over 2 hours just for an oil change. When I asked for an update, they said itll be right out. Then I see my vehicle getting pulled in. LIARS! They didnt even touch my car, totally disorganized. I asked for the manager, he seemed too busy to even care! Take your car somewhere else!

The work on my vehicle was done in a timely manner and everyone with whom I dealt were professional and courteous. Everything was discussed with me along with options for work to be done., I would not hesitate to recommend this location to others.

I have used Wyckoff Firestone for all my vehicles for over 20 years. They are reliable and very good at explaining what needs to be done on the car and prioritizing when. So Ill come away from an oil change knowing that my brakes will start getting noisy in a month, as an example. I highly recommend them for any routine maintenance. On a personal level I have found them to be trustworthy and have earned my loyalty.

Recently gave this Firestone a shot to get some tires mounted and balanced, and had a good experience. The counter guys were very friendly and helpful. No one tried to push any work on me. Prices here were about average, but I feel like the quality of work was good, and not sketchy like some other auto-repair chains or tire shops can be. The customer area was actually really clean and comfortable. Even the shop area looks pretty orderly through the glass.Im also usually a DIY guy, and Im pretty particular about who I let touch my cars. New to the NJ area, so I called around for some price quotes and to get an impression of some nearby shops. Got the best price and best impression from this Firestone.Friendly staff, accurate price quote, no up-selling, quick work, clean and orderly customer area and shop; Ill definitely return.

I need 4 snow tires mounted and balanced on same day, while I wait, basis. They did that. I asked them to mark the other tires (FR, FL, RR, RL) so they could be rotated when reinstalled in spring. They said they didnt have a paint or crayon that wouldnt wear off. Strange for a tire place.

Frank, the service manager, really understands the importance of excellent customer service. Had issues with previously installed brake rotors and he replaced them with a more expensive part, free of charge to me. The work was completed quicker than it was promised! They have earned my long term business after this experience!

Finally, an honest auto shop! Took my Toyota truck to the dealer 1 week ago for routine service when I was told that my brake pads needed to be replaced. The price was rather high so I called around and made an appointment with Firestone today. Not only did they perform a free brake inspection, they personally showed me that I did not need brakes! The measurements they took at Firestone were much different than what the Toyota dealer had taken. Firestone did the right thing and was honest and up front with me instead of taking my money (which they could of easily done). Honesty like this is hard to fine these days, going forward I will bring my vehicle here when I need service.

Im a do it yourself kind of person, so I only go to a mechanic when I really have to. Stuff like mounting new tires, balancing, and wheel alignment is something you cant exactly do with basic tools, so that is why I chose Firestone. Their lifetime alignment deal pays for itself after two or three visits, and you get the benefit of professional expertise for no extra charge. I would never ask them to fix anything that I can do myself, so I never had to deal with repair estimates or unnecessary work. The ability to wait for my car while its being serviced is something you wont see at private shops, so that was a big thing for me as well.

I had a frozen lug nut on one of my wheels. It took them two attempts but they didnt give up. Garry went out of his way including buying a special tool to fix my problem. Once he had the tool he was able to remove the lug in a few minutes. Ill definitely go back to them for any tire or automotive needs.

I’ve been going to this location for 10+ years but no longer trust these guys.The first shady incident I had with them happened several years ago when I got new brakes from them.... which didn’t work. They replaced them but what was the initial issue? And why weren’t the brakes braking? This is a scary and serious issue.I gave them the benefit of the doubt (they either didn’t install them correctly or used a cheap pair)The issue that happened the other day is unforgivable and they have completely lost my trust.I brought my car in to get checked out to see what general preventive maintenance I could do to keep my car running well. I told them to check everything.But instead of checking everything, as I asked, Sy (the mechanic) simply checked off on the list things that generally need to be taken care of.Issue 1 - he claimed I needed an oil change. Nope. I got it three days prior. If he had actually checked the oil he would have known this.Issue 2 - on my list was for him to check my tires and do a tire alignment, if I needed one. I had a feeling that it was going to need one since the last time I got one done was over 6 months, but he said the tires were fine. Wrong again. I had the manager Gary check them and i needed an alignment. What the heck are the mechanics doing back there if they’re not properly checking or repairing the cars??Issue 3 - and this was the kicker, as if the other two weren’t outrageous enough! I was told that my cars timing belt needed to be changed and that it was going to be close to $900! Well, well, well.. if I hadn’t asked questions and been an educated buyer, I could have easily handed over $900 BUT HERES THE DEAL, my car doesn’t have a timing belt, but a timing chain and this item never had to be changed! Do what??!! They were telling me something I didn’t even need!They are supposed to be honorable, trustworthy and knowledgeable. They are supposed to be the car experts, but NO!And to top it off, the whole time this was going on - the back and forth with the girl representative (which good for them for hiring a woman) and the mechanic - the manager Gary was just watching! An hour of this ridiculousness and not once does he come out to speak with me! I have been a customer for over 10 years and he says and does NOTHING until I walk over to him and tell him that he needs to speak to his mechanic and sort this out.Unbelievable!And the whole time after - mind you I was at the place for 3hours now! Took truck in (night before for a scheduled appointment) for slow leak in rear tire. Asked when I needed it back, replied 3:30PM next day. Showed up at 6PM & truck still in same spot. Said here to pick up ... couldn’t find paper work, then they were waiting for sensor. They asked if I was called to pick up, replied No nor was I called to notify of any delays. After 15 mins got keys & left. I took to another shop & they plugged tire for $15.Firestone Wyckoff is Disorganized & Dishonest.

Very good staffs and punctuality

Just want to give a big shout out to Firestone in town. Long story short, had an issue with my daughters tires that I had purchased and had installed over a year ago (found out the car had the tire issue when I brought it in to my regular mechanic for an oil change and a few other maintenance items). I called Firestone immediately and asked to speak with a supervisor. I spoke with Tyler and relayed what I had just discovered, Tyler was very sympathetic, and told me he would need to make a call to his district manager. Less then an hour later I heard back from his manager Gary, who happened to be on vacation but went to the closest Firestone to his home to look up the records on my daughter car. The situation with her car was very ambiguous but in the end they completely did the right thing by me. I would highly recommend them, they are very professional, upstanding and were never anything but polite and courteous. Big thumbs up.

I have been going to Firestone for a LONG time- its local, and convenient, and the service is always quick. But what they did for me this week went above and beyond. I called them up and spoke to Gary, because my car has been making a tick tock noise for a few days. Its done this a few times, and because I was out of town (we like to take road trips), each mechanic just told me I was low on oil, and put it in. The noise stopped, life goes on.But this time, I took it to my trusty local Firestone. They got me in first thing in the morning, and I had a phone call pretty quickly. They told me that there was NO oil in the tank (zero), and that I should contact Suburu because there was a class action suit a few years ago about Suburus consuming oil too quickly (there was an engine defect). Gary suggested I tow the car, so they could hear the noise right away, but when I said I would prefer to drive, to avoid paying for the tow, he said no problem, they would put in some oil so I could get there safely. They didnt charge me a dime to look at it, and instead, told me that I could probably have it fixed for free under warranty if this was indeed the issue.The next day, Gary sat on the phone with me to go through my oil change records with them to be sure I had them, JUST in case Suburu said I needed them to have my car fixed under their warranty. Frankly, they could have told me the engine had issues, or charged for work, or at least for the techs time to check out my car. Instead, they didnt even charge me for the oil they put in, and they are going above and beyond to make sure I dont have to pay for something that isnt my fault. Im so impressed with their honesty and professionalism. In the past, theyve helped me when tires have had issues (one of mine was leaking air a few months after I got it, and I went in to have it replaced- they informed me it was under warranty, and I didnt have to pay for it). They consistently are friendly and helpful, and I cant recommend them enough. THANK YOU Wyckoff Firestone!!!

They go above and beyond in customer service! This morning I had a Doctors appointment and when I started my car it began to shake and the engine light was on. I immediately drove it to the Firestone in Wyckoff. The manager, Mike saw that I was very distressed about missing my Doctors appointment and said he would have someone from Firestone drive me there and pick me up when the appointment was over . True to his word they picked me up after my appointment and when I got back to Firestone they had fixed the problem with my vehicle.I cant thank them enough!
